Shadrath |
The bear shifted forward between Thorgr and one of his warriors, and tore into the Kobolds. 5 ft step to H-14.

Sigrdrífa's voice builds in intensity, her words bolstering her allies, inciting a frenzy of violence as she sings, her presence inspiring them to glory.
Cast Moment of Greatness. Affects allies within 50 ft. Anyone recieving a morale bonus of any kind (such as from Inspire Rage) can double the bonus for one skill check or attack roll (double strength bonus for attacks)
Goldilocks "Sugarsnap" |
Goldi tries to keep an eye on all the kobolds but the chaos of battle they soon all start to look the same. she looses sight of which one she was aiming at and soon spies one in the open.

put your eye out: 2d3 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
shoot at K1 sling
really? I did more damage with a regular hit
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |
If you aren't planning on casting you can accept the rage and the strength bonus, you can even expend Moment of Greatness to double it
Frostine |
Probably gonna stick with casting. Six of one, half dozen of another and it takes too long to reload. I get the same bonus on Ray of Frost as I do with the crossbow and if I hit and they don't make the save they're slowed. So...guess I'm gonna go back to trying that. I just need for the dice to be just a teensy weensy bit nicer. Lol
GM Henry Fortuna |
The warriors move and attack the kobolds.

The lizard creatures land a couple blows on Thorgr and on his companions.
Round 3: Eleanor, Thorgr, Kobolds, Umbra, Shadrath, Frostine, Sigdrifa, Jettar, Truffles, Goldi, Warriors, Cleric
Frostine |
Seeing Thorgr and some of his companions get hit stirs something in Frostine she hasn't felt in a long time. Throwing up a hand she stretches it out towards one of the Kobolds flanking Thorgr and concentrates everything she has on imagining pure snow and ice flowing from her mind, down into her arm and out of her hand towards the offending little beast.
Moving to H17 and firing Ray of Frost at K11
Ice Cold: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Even though she came much closer to her mark this time, the spell still didn't quite reach the Kobold and only froze a spot on the ground next to him.
Frostine stomps her foot in frustration at not being able to hit anything, but takes a small amount of comfort in the fact that she's getting closer and seems to be gaining a little more control. A few more trys and maybe I'll actually be able to use this stuff the right way.
Looking up to the ledge she finds Goldie's face, "He .... kon je rond komen hier beneden ... voor het geval we wat genezing voordat dit allemaal voorbij is? Het is nog niet zo slecht, ik wil niet nemen geen risico. Oke?"

Damage: 1d2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
With a roar Umbra continues to tear into the Kobolds with bloody tooth and claw.
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |
Maintaining her singing, Sigrdrífa draws a throwing axe from her belt, hurling it down at one of a pair of kobolds (K1)
1d20 + 2 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 2 - 1 = 20 -1 for range increment
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Jettar Haroth |
While keeping his shield ready to deflect incoming attacks, Jettar stabbed forward with his spear once more.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
GM Henry Fortuna |
Still waiting on Goldi and Truffles. I'll move this forward if there isn't a post by this evening.

Goldilocks "Sugarsnap" |
Goldi tries to take aim on another kobold, but in chaos of battle she has trouble getting an bead on any of them, so instead she simply wits for an opportunity to strike.
ready action, if an enemy gets in the open (aka not in melee with someone) she will take a shot at it.
Goldilocks "Sugarsnap" |
I saw that but I can get a better view from up here and don't run the risk of finding various kobold weapons in my internal organs.
Goldi is horrible at melee combat
if it looks like someone is in real danger and needs healing she will make a dash to help. just trust me please
Goldilocks "Sugarsnap" |
Goldi looks out over the edge.
yelling down to her friend, Maak je geen zorgen ik heb je gedekt vanaf hier. je moet hier te komen en dan schieten ijs bij de hagedis runts.
Don't worry I got you covered from up here. you should come up here and then shoot ice at the lizard runts
Frostine |
She then looks back out over the battlefield to look for another target to practice on.
Edit: Hold on a minute...I'm getting confused and using the wrong language for halfling. Need a moment to fix please.
All better now...
GM Henry Fortuna |
The warriors continue to move, trying to get into advantageous positions.
W1 vs K7: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 16; Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4

The two flanking warriors disembowel the kobold, leaving its entrail to let off steam on the icy ground.
W3 vs K9: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 = 15; Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 1 = 7
The other warrior cleanly slays another kobold. The cleric heads down the slope and holds up his holy symbol to provide healing to most of the group (just not Eleanor or Umbra)

He cuts it down with a strike that almost missed. "Alright, just one left."
The last standing kobold drops his spear and raises his arms in surrender.

Umbra viciously attacks the remaining lizard paying no heed to it's cries.
Frostine |
Frostine holds up her hands as she runs over to where Thorgr and the unconscious kobold lay, "Wait...don't do nothin' to him yet. Tie him up real good and then wake him up. I got questions, and I intend to get answers."
Frostine |
Once the Kobold is tied up, Frostine makes a point of having him in such a position as being able to see what was done to the rest of his kin. Standing next to Thorgr she looks from Thorgr to the Kobold, "If you could please translate for me? I want to know if there are any sprites still being held here, and if so how many and where can we find them? Also, if possible I would like to know how many others like him are around here. I don't want us to be taken by surprise."
Frostine |
She sighs, "Just tell him the rest can die like his friends if he doesn't wish to cooperate with us." She smiles a little bit at the Kobold as she gives Thorgr her message for him.
GM Henry Fortuna |
"چھوٹوں باقی ہیں یا جہاں صرف ہمیں بتا," Thorgr says, his voice nearly a growl.
Intimidate: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Good enough.
"لیکن اس سے چھوٹے غار میں میری قوم ہے کہ ایک سے باہر ہیں," the kobold says, pointing at a small alcove.
"He says that there are ten times as many kobolds as we fought here, but I don't believe it. He also says that the sprites are in that small cave over there but his people are there too," Thorgr translates.
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |
With her song complete, Sig strides down onto the battlefield to listen to the interrogation. "I'd bet his numbers are inflated to scare us."
Frostine |
She nods, "Good then he can lead us to them." Stepping up to the kobold, she hold out her hand as if gripping something. Slowly ice starts forming in her hand until she's holding a dagger made completely of ice. Holding the dagger up to his throat she gestures for him to get moving as she turns her head to look at the others, "Just a bit of insurance. Would ya mind telling him to keep quiet if he knows what's good for him?"
-Posted with Wayfinder
GM Henry Fortuna |
"آپ کو آپ کے سر پر رکھنے کے لئے چاہتے ہیں تو خاموش رہو," Thorgr hisses, pushing the kobold forward.
The small alcove looks like it was a dining area and remnants of past meals are strewn all over. You see about ten sprites in cages suspended above the floor. A narrow passage leads deeper into the caves.
"I say we free the sprites and try to collapse the cave. I don't think I can handle another battle like that and it'll set these guys back a while so we can build up some defenses," Thorgr says, turning to the warriors. "You three, gather up some of their weapons and armor. Some of the smaller folk back at the camp might be able to use it."
The young man turns to Frostine. "Sound good to you? We'll push this guy in this hole and maybe some of his comrades will find him."
Frostine |
She smiles and nods, allowing the dagger to go back to nothingness. She looks at the kobold, "Sounds like you got a reprieve for now Mr. Kobold, don't let me catch your lot sniffing round the sprites again...or next time we won't leave any of ya alive." Turning she looks at Thorgr and the others, "That sounds like a good plan to me. Does anyone need any healing? Looks like ya got poked at a fair bit...I could have Goldi take a look atcha if ya like."
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |
Sigrdrífa makes her way over to the cages, looking for the mechanism to open them.
Frostine |
She nods, "I'll have Goldi take a look atcha both once we get the sprites out of here. Here let me do something to make sure it's a while before they get out of there."
Walking up to where he kicked in the ice, Frostine puts her hands up on the broken pieces of ice and closes her eyes. Imagining the frozen lands back home she puts all her energy into sealing off the tunnel. She feels the cold run through her as it travels down to her hands and out onto the broken pieces of ice. After a few minutes the ice is reformed into a thick solid wall. Breathing heavily she brings her arms back down, "There....that should buy us....plenty of time." She nearly pants as she tries to catch her breath.
