DM Ninja/infinite

Don't forget Kurik.

You can't take 10, though.

FYI; target is 22, Sheriff can give a +1 for Aid Another.

I thought it was clear in game, but there's not been response from wood. I thought Vertielle, Evangline, and Que will roll- Wood will stay with Gkirkhan, but it occurs to me perhaps Vertielle, Que, and Wood should search, leaving a diplomat behind.

So who going with the sheriff or the deputy and who is with Gkirkhan?

is it sheriff or the deputy with Vertielle, Evangline, and Que or is it
Vertielle, Que, and Wood.

DM Ninja/infinite

OK, options are:
1 person stays with Gkirkhan and four people can search.

The locals are Sheriff Benjan Caeler (ranger-2) and three of his deputies; Riff, Trestleblade, and Vrodish (all Warrior-1).

Hm, I will rule that if only three of you pair with deputies and search, the sheriff's +1 can apply to all as he directs the search.

Wood will join search hoping to find suspicious arcane or necromatic devices or books.

Half-orc
Normal:
HP: 41/71 AC 16/12/12: F+8, R +4, W +1, Per:-2, Init: +5
Raging:
HP: 53/83 AC 16/12/12: F+10, R +4, W +3, Per:-2, Init: +5
Rage: 4/11

So we're leaving the Dwarf with the Half-orc...

I give it 5 minutes before Gkirkhan starts a tavern brawl, yes I'm well aware that they are not anywhere near a tavern, and that there's a distinct lack of alcohol, but those things can be fixed.

Female Half-Elf Bard (Archivist) 5/ Pathfinder Chronicler 1 (hp 49/49; AC 18/14/14; 15/15 rounds)

Yeah... maybe its best to leave evangline behind.
Kurik! His familiarity with stonework may be handy... But how perceptive is the gruff little man?

Half-orc
Normal:
HP: 41/71 AC 16/12/12: F+8, R +4, W +1, Per:-2, Init: +5
Raging:

Rage: 4/11

Well, he has a plus to WIS so he's already ahead of Gkirkhan, and Gkirkhan would not be in any way opposed to any plan that got him some time alone with such a lovely lady.

Kurik, could you put what feats, skills and weapons you have in your profile. There should be a textbox at the bottom of where you can enter stuff. if you need a starting point, try looking at some of the other character profiles.

DM Ninja/infinite

BTW, if Gkirkhan *does* manage to get you folks run out of town, I think I'll use the option in the module where they tie all of you up and leave you on the grounds of Harrowstone. ;)

Female Human Ninja 3

Oh god... let's not hope that this happens at level 1 (that would be I guess, a real old-school experience..i.e. sudden death waits behind every corner)

Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 4 / Monk(Spirit Master) 2

Each of our characters have strengths and weaknesses
Wood has a lot of knowledge, but poor Diplomacy or Perception,
Myself, Que, and Vertielle Siepar are next to identical in knowledge, Perception and diplomacy.

DM Ninja/infinite

Don't forget to check the Campaign Info tab.

I'm updating the XP and Trust totals there.

Female Human Ninja 3

Good to know oh mighty ninja ;-)

Half-orc

Raging:
HP: 53/83 AC 16/12/12: F+10, R +4, W +3, Per:-2, Init: +5
Rage: 4/11

You might wanna hold off on that last +2, cause Gkirkhan is going to fight him if someone doesn't stop him.

DM Ninja/infinite

Snicker...killing him will cut the xp in half as well.

But you don't get the -6 for killing townsfolk since he's obviously insane.

Female Half-Elf Bard (Archivist) 5/ Pathfinder Chronicler 1 (hp 49/49; AC 18/14/14; 15/15 rounds)

If a fight does break out, GREASE. May the hysteria commense!

Rage: 4/11

Ah grease, is there any situation that you can't find a use for it.

DM Ninja/infinite

BTW, Gkirkhan, you can fight anyone you want...you just can't kill them.

Half-orc

The way he's shaping up, Gkirkhan has his own quirky code of honor. I may write this down so we have a handy reference, and baddies have some buttons to push. He's wild, but there is a method to his madness.

DM Ninja/infinite

OK, quick note here on further research: You've gathered all the information on the main subjects that you cna by sppeaking with the locals or searching your own minds. Any further investigation into specific subjects must be done at either the Professor's House, the Temple, the Town Hall records, or the Unfurling Scroll. the Unfurling Scroll is both a school for the local children and a magic item shop specializing in scrolls & potions, though it does have a few minor items (of possible doubtfull provence) on sale as well.

The locals are slightly warming to you and you can continue to pick up rumors.

@Vertielle: when you said library, I'm assuming the town hall records. You don't need a diplomacy roll for the professor's library and the town does not have a dedicated library. if you ment something else, let me know.

Currently, you folks have the maximum info you can get on Harrowstone itself.

You can still gian info on the Whispering WAy, but will need a 25 or better. You must research each of the 5 prisoners individually and they also require a roll of 25 or better.

If there's anything else you want to research or do, let me know.

Wood is delighted with the amount of progress on the research up to now. He wants another shot at the Unfurling Scroll -- two days of research total and then a shot at Harrowstone itself starting at first light. Our men and other humanoids of action can only tolerate so much book learning. Time to see some spooks.

He was hoping Evangeline could talk to the temple and grab whatever aid they refused to the professor.

Wood rolled two 25 knowledge checks earlier, didn't one of them cover the Whispering Way?

So, how about two more full days of research and then some spook hunting.

Human Jack of All trades

Eva will likely be getting her full nights rest.

DM Ninja/infinite

Wood, sorry I didn't realize you'd got three 25s.

And now a 31! for planar knowledge consulting the scariest arcane grimoire.

GM:
Another letter is too soon:

CC page 22 wrote:

ghost seeks out another victim. Every 1d4+2 days, he
attempts to use his dream whisper to gain control over
a new victim (if you don’t want to roll out the series of
saves, you can assume that it takes him only 2d4+4 days
to secure a new minion). Once he manages to claim a new
host, he can immediately pick up spelling Vesorianna’s
name where he left off.

so this is way too soon for another letter to show up.

that and we have the false crypt to do yet.

DM Ninja/infinite

Evangeline

Spoiler:
You're right. Not a problem, I was able to edit. I will say that instead of you being posessed, you had a dream about writing a name on the monument, but don't recall what it was.

I figured that part out after reading what happened.

OK how about this one day of fancy book research and we go? Wood is itching for some baddy smashing too.

Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 4 / Monk(Spirit Master) 2

In the prof's will he mentioned a false crypt,
it could have some goods we could use.

Female Human Ninja 3

sure, let's check that crypt first.

DM Ninja/infinite

Wood, could you list the spells in your spellbook in your profile as well as whatever spells you have memorized each day?

Vertielle, please do the same with your spells known.

If you want to do the crypt first, I'll do that before the concert. So, next time you're in the town square, you'll get involved in that bit.

Female Half-Elf Bard (Archivist) 5/ Pathfinder Chronicler 1 (hp 49/49; AC 18/14/14; 15/15 rounds)

Spells known are already in my profile under special abilities.
The crypt first would be good too, I guess. Cover of dark isn't really necessary if the temple ASKED us to go.

Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 4 / Monk(Spirit Master) 2

I think the GM would prefer it, if you put the spells in a spoiler like mine

Half-orc

Quick question, did anyone ever come get Gkirkhan? He's currently at Professor Lorrimor's manor.

Female Half-Elf Bard (Archivist) 5/ Pathfinder Chronicler 1 (hp 49/49; AC 18/14/14; 15/15 rounds)

Sure, I'll have done it.

Sweet, thank you.

Female Half-Elf Bard (Archivist) 5/ Pathfinder Chronicler 1 (hp 49/49; AC 18/14/14; 15/15 rounds)

Vertielle saunters into Kendra's with a mild sense of grim accomplishment. The facts support her theory of possession, despite the naysayers. She shakes off her glow of assurance to say what she came to:
Gkirkhan, grab your gear. We're headed to the false crypt the Professor mentioned. Shouldn't need anything fancy; he'll have already cleared it out.
I hope.

DM Ninja/infinite

Is anyone else having editing issues?

I had to set up a seperate post instead of adding the room to the first one, then couldn't change out my avatar.

Female Human Ninja 3

Seems to work for me.

DM Ninja/infinite

Weird. Maybe it's with my computer, then.

DM Ninja/infinite

OK: for combat situatiosn, I'd like everyone to use this standard format for their current situation:

HP: base/current
AC/FF/Touch: base/current (due to conditions)
Condition: type/duration

Also, could I have everyone's passive Perception?

DM Ninja/infinite

AAAAAGGGGHHHHH! Stupid edit glitch! Now I can't even delete!

OK, edit to previous post; please do AC as I show here, dashes rather than slashes.

AC-FF-Touch: base/current (due to conditions)

Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 4 / Monk(Spirit Master) 2

the forums are acting weird for me to

Female Half-Elf Bard (Archivist) 5/ Pathfinder Chronicler 1 (hp 49/49; AC 18/14/14; 15/15 rounds)

passive perception? 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 if that's what you mean...

DM Ninja/infinite

Passive perception = take 10, so Vertielle's passive perception is 15. If she ahs any modifiers, such as race traits or feats that add to perception, include those, but list if they only apply in certain situations (+2 to listen for example).

This is standard procedure in my RL games. We assume that adventurers would be alert in strange situations. It also means I only have to call for perception checks (or make them myself) where there is a threat, ie, check for traps, vs. opponent stealth, that sort of thing.

Female Half-Elf Bard (Archivist) 5/ Pathfinder Chronicler 1 (hp 49/49; AC 18/14/14; 15/15 rounds)

Ah, that makes sense. Yes, +5, then.

Human Jack of All trades

chrome works for focus, maybe fixes the other problems

Edit: check

Female Half-Elf Bard (Archivist) 5/ Pathfinder Chronicler 1 (hp 49/49; AC 18/14/14; 15/15 rounds)

One of these days I'll be painstakingly searching a room and Gkirkhan will just annihilate the door while I've got my ear to it and ima fall on my face.

Half-orc
Normal:
HP: 41/71 AC 16/12/12: F+8, R +4, W +1, Per:-2, Init: +5
Raging:
HP: 53/83 AC 16/12/12: F+10, R +4, W +3, Per:-2, Init: +5
Rage: 4/11

Nah, Gkirkhan would never do that to a lady, If it was wood or kurik on the other hand, he would just because he thinks it's funny. He also likes you, which is another reason he wouldn't do it.

DM Ninja/infinite

Just a quick note: due to a Drs appointment I will not be available until after 2PM at the earliest.

Meanwhile, I need the rest of the Perception checks, and place yourselves in the rooms.

List it as follows:

Count the corner with the Brasier as A-1

From there the numbers run 1-10 across and the letters run A-N down.

Also, who will check out the sarcophagus?

Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 4 / Monk(Spirit Master) 2

I'll get a numbered map up around lunch
