I thought it was clear in game, but there's not been response from wood. I thought Vertielle, Evangline, and Que will roll- Wood will stay with Gkirkhan, but it occurs to me perhaps Vertielle, Que, and Wood should search, leaving a diplomat behind.
So who going with the sheriff or the deputy and who is with Gkirkhan?
is it sheriff or the deputy with Vertielle, Evangline, and Que or is it
Vertielle, Que, and Wood.

So we're leaving the Dwarf with the Half-orc...
I give it 5 minutes before Gkirkhan starts a tavern brawl, yes I'm well aware that they are not anywhere near a tavern, and that there's a distinct lack of alcohol, but those things can be fixed.

Well, he has a plus to WIS so he's already ahead of Gkirkhan, and Gkirkhan would not be in any way opposed to any plan that got him some time alone with such a lovely lady.
Kurik, could you put what feats, skills and weapons you have in your profile. There should be a textbox at the bottom of where you can enter stuff. if you need a starting point, try looking at some of the other character profiles.
BTW, if Gkirkhan *does* manage to get you folks run out of town, I think I'll use the option in the module where they tie all of you up and leave you on the grounds of Harrowstone. ;)
Oh god... let's not hope that this happens at level 1 (that would be I guess, a real old-school experience..i.e. sudden death waits behind every corner)
Each of our characters have strengths and weaknesses
Wood has a lot of knowledge, but poor Diplomacy or Perception,
Myself, Que, and Vertielle Siepar are next to identical in knowledge, Perception and diplomacy.

The way he's shaping up, Gkirkhan has his own quirky code of honor. I may write this down so we have a handy reference, and baddies have some buttons to push. He's wild, but there is a method to his madness.
OK, quick note here on further research: You've gathered all the information on the main subjects that you cna by sppeaking with the locals or searching your own minds. Any further investigation into specific subjects must be done at either the Professor's House, the Temple, the Town Hall records, or the Unfurling Scroll. the Unfurling Scroll is both a school for the local children and a magic item shop specializing in scrolls & potions, though it does have a few minor items (of possible doubtfull provence) on sale as well.
The locals are slightly warming to you and you can continue to pick up rumors.
@Vertielle: when you said library, I'm assuming the town hall records. You don't need a diplomacy roll for the professor's library and the town does not have a dedicated library. if you ment something else, let me know.
Currently, you folks have the maximum info you can get on Harrowstone itself.
You can still gian info on the Whispering WAy, but will need a 25 or better. You must research each of the 5 prisoners individually and they also require a roll of 25 or better.
If there's anything else you want to research or do, let me know.
Wood is delighted with the amount of progress on the research up to now. He wants another shot at the Unfurling Scroll -- two days of research total and then a shot at Harrowstone itself starting at first light. Our men and other humanoids of action can only tolerate so much book learning. Time to see some spooks.
He was hoping Evangeline could talk to the temple and grab whatever aid they refused to the professor.
Wood rolled two 25 knowledge checks earlier, didn't one of them cover the Whispering Way?
So, how about two more full days of research and then some spook hunting.
Once the Splatter Man is denied access to Gibs, the
ghost seeks out another victim. Every 1d4+2 days, he
attempts to use his dream whisper to gain control over
a new victim (if you don’t want to roll out the series of
saves, you can assume that it takes him only 2d4+4 days
to secure a new minion). Once he manages to claim a new
host, he can immediately pick up spelling Vesorianna’s
name where he left off.
so this is way too soon for another letter to show up.
You're right. Not a problem, I was able to edit. I will say that instead of you being posessed, you had a dream about writing a name on the monument, but don't recall what it was.
Spells known are already in my profile under special abilities.
The crypt first would be good too, I guess. Cover of dark isn't really necessary if the temple ASKED us to go.
Vertielle saunters into Kendra's with a mild sense of grim accomplishment. The facts support her theory of possession, despite the naysayers. She shakes off her glow of assurance to say what she came to:
Gkirkhan, grab your gear. We're headed to the false crypt the Professor mentioned. Shouldn't need anything fancy; he'll have already cleared it out. I hope.
Passive perception = take 10, so Vertielle's passive perception is 15. If she ahs any modifiers, such as race traits or feats that add to perception, include those, but list if they only apply in certain situations (+2 to listen for example).
This is standard procedure in my RL games. We assume that adventurers would be alert in strange situations. It also means I only have to call for perception checks (or make them myself) where there is a threat, ie, check for traps, vs. opponent stealth, that sort of thing.
One of these days I'll be painstakingly searching a room and Gkirkhan will just annihilate the door while I've got my ear to it and ima fall on my face.
HP: 49/63 AC 18/14/14: F+7, R +4, W +1, Per:-2, Init: +5, Rage: 9/9
Nah, Gkirkhan would never do that to a lady, If it was wood or kurik on the other hand, he would just because he thinks it's funny. He also likes you, which is another reason he wouldn't do it.
