(Female Human Retired Military)

OK, discussions and ooc issues go here.

Yelling at each other or me, RL issues, just plain fun, et al.

(HP: 27/34 AC 17/13/14: F+4, R +3, W-2, Per:-2, Init: +5)

Three Items:

1. A masterwork greatsword
2. A masterwork Backpack
3. A masterwork warhammer

This was rather difficult considering that Gkirkhan is a simply orc of simply tastes. He would really like a +1 returning dagger, but that is just a little too expensive.

(Female Human Ninja 2)

Ok, finished the equipment part.

A masterwork Wakizashi

2 doses of shadow essence poison

(Male Dwarf Barbarian 1)

My three items

Ok, just a quick note about my availability. I'm in the US eastern time zone (it's 10:37 as I type). I'm usually available to post after 9 PM US EST, and as a stay-at-home type I can usually post during the day as well. My husband works 7-3 so 3 to 9 is bad for me to post.

XP: given that we have more than the recommended amount of players, I will be using the fast table rather than the medium.

Initiative: I tend to group multiple opponents (multiple same type critters get one, the leader big bad gets it's own; I like the PCs to roll individually, though.

I don't do fumbles, crits need confirmed, but no 3 20s instakill.

Any other questions on general game rules?

Oh, and how to you see your characters arriving in Ravengro? By stage, on foot, or riding animal?

(HP: 27/34 AC 17/13/14: F+4, R +3, W-2, Per:-2, Init: +5)

"Oh, by feetz. Definately by feetz. Hy deed try to ride a horse vunce. Et deed not vork so vell, bot that meh have been becauze the paladin ridink him kept pounchink me in the gut."

Hi there, I am Gkirkhan and I'll be your comic relief this evening.

(Female Human Ninja 2)

Que Xuang will arrive by foot.

Hi Girkhan, I really hope i get used to the way you speak ;-).

Thank for being selected. Wood will arrive by foot.

wish list:
Item 1 - Wand of protection from evil 33 charges 33/50*750gp=495gp
Item 2 - Wand of magic missiles caster lvl 3 (2 missiles) 11 charges (3*11/50*750=495gp)
Item 3 - 3d6 fireball sphere from necklace of missiles (450gp)
Item 1 to help party - protection from evil is useful, but I hate to commit a daily slot to it
Item 2 to get automatic direct damage in sufficient quantity, but memorizing magic missile can seem so blah
Item 3 when that mob or swarm is overwhelming everyone.

(HP: 27/34 AC 17/13/14: F+4, R +3, W-2, Per:-2, Init: +5)

"Ho ho, I vouldn't vorry about dot, sveetheart!" Seriously, if I need to drop it I can, or I can start translating everything he says. Just be warned. He is a womanizer, and can "Voo de vimmins" with the best of them if he puts his mind to it. This is going to be a fun character to play. :)

(Female Human Ninja 2)

No need to drop it, it is really flavorfull and funny to read, albeit a bit difficult for a non native speaker like me, but I will manage, I just have to remember to read how it is written... So please don't drop it.
And at least as far as I am concerned there is also no need for a translation ;-)

(F Human Medium :Oracle of Ancestors 1)

Happy to be aboard. Arriving by stage as fits background.

Items:

Cold iron dagger
2 Vials of Holy Water
Everburning torch

I like it too Ghirkhan

(Male Dwarf Barbarian 1)

I'm going ter be arivin' with me feet on tha ground, I don' like tha look aboot them horses none too much, I'll tell ya that fer sure.

Them clumsy hooves an' skinny little bodies don' make good travel for a Dwarf either.

(hp 15/22; AC 14/11/13; Performance 7/10)

As requested, my Bard. Sorry about the delay there.

EDIT: Would arrive by stage, should it come to matter.

(F Human Medium :Oracle of Ancestors 1)

Would we then be on the same stage or would it be personal, I know in my case nobility could explain it.

Also is starting hp really Max+ Con SCORE?

(HP: 27/34 AC 17/13/14: F+4, R +3, W-2, Per:-2, Init: +5)

I think he meant bonus.

(Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 1 / Monk(Martial Artist) 1)

For those who just joined the forums and starting PBP, I welcome you as a fellow player of PBP games

SoberDwarf here's a step-by step tutorial for character aliases.

A character alias is like another ID on the forums for PBP games.

To create an alias;
1)right click on account at the top (so you don't loose this page),
2)sign in
3)in "Messageboard Aliases" click on "Create new messageboard alias"
4)put in the alias' name in alias name field
5)under avatar image, click change, select an avatar that matches the character concept as close as possible and click on it.
6)click on "submit changes" and the alias is created, but is blank.
7)in "Messageboard Aliases" you'll now see your new character alias, click on it and you'll be taken to the profile page,
8)click on create profile and fill it in will all the needed data, you can use Evangline above as a template, just click on her name.

(Male Dwarf Barbarian 1)

Let's see if it worked properly

(Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 1 / Monk(Martial Artist) 1)

You just need to fill out the alias' profile.

Here's an Example.

(Male Dwarf Barbarian 1)

Good, then lets see if we can continue now.

(hp 15/22; AC 14/11/13; Performance 7/10)

Rhia, we could very well be in the same coach- I am travelling from Absalom, and simply just can't be bothered to own a horse, but neither do I relish walking the distance in my corset, even with my reasonably functional attire. My own travel arrangements stem from scholarly connections and a reasonable, if not truly vast, sum if personal wealth.

Ultimately, I doubt our carriages would have much in common, or be chartered at the same place.

(hp 15/22; AC 14/11/13; Performance 7/10)

On a side note, I believe how I'm arriving is rather a moot point, as Rhia Van der Geist appears to be playing here, rather than Azure_Zero's game.

(Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 1 / Monk(Martial Artist) 1)

@GM:

Are you going to use NPC Aliases like I do?
My Alias list.

(F Human Medium :Oracle of Ancestors 1)

Tell you what Vertielle, I got accepted to both games, since we're just at the entrance and you'd be in the coach as well you can take this one and I'll go over to the other game if Ninja DM's ok with it.

(guess DM Ninja/infinite)

@ Rhia and Vertielle; Either way will work. I know Rhia was trying for Azure's game so if she wants to play in his, I'm cool with it. In which case just substitute Vertielle in all the stuff that said Rhia.

@ Evangeline

Spoiler:
Probably. How many aliases can we have, anyway?

(Female Assimar (with Ulfen blood) Cleric(Theologian) 1 / Monk(Martial Artist) 1)

I don't know the answer to that.

3 items:

masterwork cold iron Cestus (APG pg177) (310gp)
masterwork breastplate (500gp)
??thinking on it??

(guess DM Ninja/infinite)

@ Gkirkhan and ayone else confused: 1st level only HP is max + con SCORE. That's one of the orginial options and my RL group has used it since we started Pathfinder (back with the original playtest).

After first you just use the con bonus.

(HP: 27/34 AC 17/13/14: F+4, R +3, W-2, Per:-2, Init: +5)

So Gkirkhan has 22 HP?

(guess DM Ninja/infinite)

@ Gkirkhin: 23. 10 (full 1d10) + 13 con.

For second level and beyond roll once and if you roll *lower* than these numbers [D12- 7HP, D10- 6HP, D8- 5HP, D6- 4HP] use those. If you roll that number or above, use that. Either way, then add your con BONUS.

So, if Gkirkhin rolls a 2 for 2nd level hp he'd instead get 6 + his con bonus, and if he rolled 8 he'd get 8 + con bonus.

Is that clearer for everyone?

That should keep the party reasonably fit, but still allow for some degree of luck and variation.

(HP: 27/34 AC 17/13/14: F+4, R +3, W-2, Per:-2, Init: +5)

Okay, I'll go fix the character sheet.

(Male Dwarf Barbarian 1)

Wouldn't you also add favored class if you chose hp for it? So if Gkirkhan did he would have 24 hp.

(guess DM Ninja/infinite)

Yep. Fc points count too. I tend to use them for spells or skills for my characters, so I forgot about that option.

(HP: 27/34 AC 17/13/14: F+4, R +3, W-2, Per:-2, Init: +5)

Kurik Thurgen wrote:

I'll have to take a look later, but I'm sure I took the extra skill point.

(guess DM Ninja/infinite)

BTW, I know the module starts at the Restlands, but I had some atmosphere I wanted to set up.

Also, for further play: do you want to do individual initiatives for the PCs or do you want one group roll?

I prefer individual initiatives, but I can also see the advantage to a mass roll so no one has to wait for a player who may be unable to post at the time.

(Female Human Ninja 2)

I'd prefer individual initiative.

(HP: 27/34 AC 17/13/14: F+4, R +3, W-2, Per:-2, Init: +5)

individual works fine. I think most of us tend to add conditional actions if we do post out of turn, just in case.

(hp 15/22; AC 14/11/13; Performance 7/10)

I guess I'll catch up on everything that's happened so far, then. Sweet, thanks Rhia.

I'll start actually checking this neurotically now xD

(F Human Medium :Oracle of Ancestors 1)

Good luck and have fun!

(guess DM Ninja/infinite)

Just a quick note: I've medical appointments today and tomorrow so I will have limited availablity until later in the evening.

Nothing major: today is what *should* be the final dermatolgy visit to freeze off warts on my hands (under the fingernails) and tomorrow is minor therapy for my shoulder (I pulled the rotator cuff).

For now, just go ahead and introduce yourselves to each other and around 9:30 PM EST (US) I'll get the funeral started.

(Male Dwarf Barbarian 1)

I prefer individual initiative.

I hope your shoulder gets better soon.

Your Welcome

Question, what is everyone's Height?
as this helps me in visualizing the scene and characters in correct ratios and proportions to each other.

Taldor (Male Human Expert 3/ Fighter 2)

I also prefer individual initiative, but will yield to more experienced opinions.
