The Mystery of Loch Feinn

Game Master greg white 722

In the spring of 1941, agents of Department M, a branch of England's security services dealing with the most outré of threats, is sent to the remote Scottish Highlands, to investigate a possible Nazi menace on the shores of desolate Loch Feinn.

Due to weather issues I might be offline for a couple of days.

I hope you're safe!

That was an older post, but yeah, I survived last winter's record snowfall.

Male Human

Thanks for botting for me Cirle. Having two occurrences in a week have wrecked havoc on my day-to-day at the moment.

Understood. It's been a rough couple of weeks for you.

I hope none of you have been affected by the hurricanes. We were supposed to get some dangerous winds here in north Alabama, but the storm has weakened considerably over the past 24 hours.

Excellent... thank you... I love maps in RPGs :-)

Male Human Author of Planetary Romances

Sorry... I've been out of pocket for a few days... I'm back online now regularly.

Happy Halloween. Might be too busy passing out candy to the goblinoids to post tomorrow night, we'll see.

Do you realize that this game has been going on since June 22, 2015? That’s 2-½ years!

You've been incredibly patient: I realize my pacing is pretty much glacial.

Male Human Author of Planetary Romances

The pace is perfect for me... I'm not sure I'd be able to play a game that required posting everyday.

Male Human

No problems for me. Sorry - been trying to be better about being more active.

So we'll be taking a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday, I'll be resuming posting 11/27.

Male Human

Hope all had a good Thanksgiving break!

So, happy Festivus.

We'll break for the holidays, resuming the 2nd.

Male Human Author of Planetary Romances

Festivus for the rest of us :)

Would it be possible to post a map showing where we all are in relation to our enemies. It’s a bit tricky visualizing where the crazy men and the creepy girls are.

I'll try to get a map up either tomorrow (if the site is undergoing maintenance tomorrow) or Wednesday.

Thank you :)

In all my years of D&D (and I go back a long, long way, to 1978), I have never had a character go insane. This is fun :)

He's mad I tell you, mad!

Welcome to Call of Cthulhu, baby! Where going insane is an expected result.

Male Human Author of Planetary Romances

Yeppers... I'm a huge Lovecraft fan... just never came across insanity in other RPGs

Sorry to have been out of pocket. Memorial Day weekend was my son's high school graduation. We've been swamped. I'm back to my normal routine now.

S'okay.

Dam, somebody apparently suffered a critical miss on their Server Maintenance roll.

One of the pioneering giants of the industry, Greg Stafford, founder of Chaosium, publisher of the Call of Cthulhu RPG, passed away this weekend.

So raise a tankard to the memory of the Shaman of Oakland!

So I'm tentatively planning on running the CoC 7th ed. 'Spanish Civil War' game, I'll post further details, and a recruitment page a week from now.

So if anyone is still checking this, I'll be starting a recruitment page
for the next game in the next couple of days: 'The Armitage Papers',
a kind of sandbox game where the Investigator actions pretty much drive the story.
