Maybe not, but after having a closer look at the group, I'm thinking that Cobalt would fit in better if he was from a family that made their money running booze (or whatnot). He could easily have been trained in profession: brewing and craft: alchemy to take his part in the family business.

@ Dax Thura, I don't know, I liked him lawful good, most rural northern towns were more that than the hippy dippy images you see from New York or San Francisco, and it's nice to have the social interaction, we are student from a school, Taicho represents the minority there needs to be a majority :).

brewers:
Now if his family ran one of the famous breweries, also from mid-northern states, and had reopened their brewery after prohibition they would be legitimate business men, that could fit in the lawful good spectrum very easily.

edit:If they made their own copper drums that could work in the "blacksmith" angle also, just saying :)

Interestingly enough the red neck minority (boot leggers) fought against the hippy trend more than most. They didn't consider other substances until some of their sons, who grew up through the Vietnam era, exchanged booze/corn/stills for "AEther"

I think moonshine is the way, as it can link into some classes in oathfinder, Dwarf Ale moonshine just has a great sound. A little magic in there, real moonbeams hehe. The powers that be then would be really out to get it, being so locked down on magic

Dwarf Ale Moonshine! Awesome. :) Just going down to the D.a.m. for a bit boys.

I like the lawful good too, though perhaps neutral good would work a bit better with his back story. Maybe I'm just overreacting. I'll think on it.

you all need to settle down on the hard liquor theme. Remember legal drinking age is 21. All you all that are 18 are drinking 3.2 low beer, congratulations :)

All right, dwarf Lemonade Shine.

At the table:

"Hazel how are you doing with that healing magic part of the report?"

Isabela asks with a smile, of the new the late arrival.

OK, I've settled on Neutral Good for alignment. I think it sits better with the two worlds theme I have in mind for the character. Rather than aether, to feed his bad boy side, he can have his own brew that he makes available to friends for parties sometimes.

Table Talk:
"Oh! I have some notes on some rune magic from the early days of faith." Cobalt produces several pages of writing and passes it to Hazel."[/b]

DM Qouth

Age: Aizawa is 59 should I revise this?

As I saw with Calista being too old would through things off. ;)

Classes allowed: Is Machinesmith a viable class?

If so I may have to change up my Ability scores and race idea up some. Please let me know as it would be fitting with a worshipper of Brigh.

No rush, thanks!

Around the table:

After several minutes of reading the history book, runic magic and other sources of information. He marks the page with a bookmark, shuts it and pulls out a different book with the title Popular Mechanics: Inside NASA. He flips it open to an article he had been reading on the advancing space technology and starts reading. He found that he studied better when he took short breaks to focus.

DM Qouth,

Wow, if 3ed party Machinesmith makes it in as a class, can I ask if you would allow in 3ed party WarLock as better still Clever godling.

At the Table of Doom:

"Rune magic, really, fascinating I could find next to nothing on that"

She looks over the papers,

I have toned down her back story, to make her more small town and not so big time Mob. It feels better for the game. Her mothers dead, her dad was an enforcer for the mob so he said. He's in hiding and she's in foster care with a local family of half-elf god-bods trying to save her soul. so its church every Sunday for Isabela, which she hates but nothing much she can do about it.

Change her PC sheet, with this new outline, She dos not have light sensitivity any more, but feels unwell in Church.

Age wise, I just have "Looks 18" on her sheet now, she may not know her age, given the life shes has had.

Machine smith is a fun class for technology based worlds. It has some underwhelming spells but the greatworks makes it a lot of fun and interesting. Played one for a Fallout style game as a Brotherhood of Steel member.

Like I said the spells aren't the best, interesting and flashy but short duration. the abilities get a little sad towards the high levels but I thought it'd fit a worshipper of Brigh. :)

If not thats fine still laying out how Aizawa will be in this 1970's world. And I admit Machine smith could totally try and do an iron man, maybe... ;)

@Aizawa:
setting is 1960s I think :0)
Its why we have hippy's and "sticking it to the man" etc.

Could I have a roll call of who's still interested in this game, so I can update the list, Thanks

Roll call

Yo~ ;)

Marcus is still here!

So is Amin.

Steady like a rock over here.

Hazel here, I've been following the RP but haven't really been able to get into character for this so I think I'll bow out; I'm still interested in the concept though so I'll be lurking to see how things shake out :3

Thanks for letting me know Lady L, ill take you off the list,

awww I liked hazel :(

"Of course I am still here, this is my office!"

@ Dax Thura aka. Cobalt Stonepeak

story time:

My high school chemistry teacher, He had been in the air force during the Korean war, so the time frame is close; (no old guy jokes) told the story about how he and his lab partner in college built a still in there college lab using beakers and such and would make there own "hooch". Cobalt could build one in a discrete location, I'm sure there are characters who can help him procure the proper equipment :)

Changed a just a few things... No harm intended.

Updated Amin's background to mesh with the suspended Olympics.
Also added a description (which in some aspects reminds me too much of a co-worker...) and explained (to myself as well) why the LN character is not trying to stop his classmates. He is ready.

Thats fine Amin, I was posting fast.
Ok last post on boards V the GM was Saturday, so we may not get feed back today. lets hope DM Quoth dos how ever soon.

wait and see time.

:)

Good luck everyone, for what is worth it been fun!

It has, it has.

It has indeed :)

And then there were six…

I’m playing a character similar to Taicho in a game that I thought was coming to an end, the GM has graciously continued another module, so I will continue playing that character.

Due to RL I need to limit my time. So having said that, I am unfortunately removing Taicho from consideration. On that note I hope there Is room for all six of you and I will be reading along as time permits. Enjoy the 60’s! RH

To tell the truth I'm not very happy about the lack of interaction from DM Quoth, Ok not able to post now and then is fine as a player but I expect a post at lease every 2 days from my GMs. I'm not seeing this here, what I am seeing is a missing DM Quoth, that dos not bode will for the game. So with that said I as well will bow out.

It was fun but other games are calling with GMs who have more time for players.

Wombat.

:( That is unfortunate.

I am still here.

I regret to report that my home connection is once again giving me the finger... My posting will likely be patchy at best for a while. >_<;

I understand if this means I am losing your interest.

Still here, see ya wombat :(

I am sorry to report that I will not be launching this game, after all. :(
I started full of enthusiasm, but other things are popping up one by one, and with my internet connection going wonky all the time it's hard enough to participate in the games where I'm a player and keeping my other game going.
My apologies to you all; I have seen some wonderful submissions here.
Should anyone want to pick up the game in my stead, I would be happy to tell them the general outline of the campaign.

Sorry to hear that, Quoth.
