Male Human Magic User Level 1

I was uncertain if the creature was flying or not, it was still my best bet...

"Capture the one we can see - we need leverage to force the other one to show itself!" - comes Medraut's attempt at providing a tactical orientation to the group.

Turning to the elemental he shouts again - "Grab the visible one and bring it to me!" - while he points at their only visible foe.

Male Human Magic User Level 1

Understanding that the Elemental is really not understanding his gestures, Medraut tries a pantomime to explain himself...

Bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14

Lorzub screams out, feeling the immense cold pain searing into his back. Hearing Medrauts cry for the one who's visible, Lorzub saw the opportunity to actually do something. He reaches out to try and trip Fane. Lorzub has Improved Trip

Trip: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Completely taken by surprise, Fane falls to the floor.
Lorzub, you know you can try to attack the 'square' you were attacked from, right? 50% miss chance even if your enemy is there, but still.

I did not know that. Would it be in the place of my trip? If so, I think I would have rather done that than the trip since there are others that could have accomplished that. I'll post an attack here and let you decide whether or not to let the trip stand or allow me to attack.

Lorzub, feeling the searing cold pain in his back and some of his strength being sapped, whirled around and swung his axe at the invisible foe that stabbed him. Power Attack

Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 7 - 1 = 17
Damage: 1d12 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9

Looking at your attack roll, I think you agree, that we'd better let the trip maneuver stand.
Oana sees Fane go down and furiously charges Lorzub using the candlemaker's tool as an improvised club! Her swing is powerful but poorly coordinated and so the half-orc easily dodges the attack.

Medraut tries to make the earth elemental understand his command, but the creature seems puzzled and just continues to stare at its master, tilting its head.

Seeing Lorzub's reaction to the sting, Luke strides forward while pulling out a net, and tries to throw it on top of the invisible creature.

touch attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 4 = 6

miss chance (1 for miss, 2 for hit): 1d2 ⇒ 2

Unfortunately, the net simply tumbles to the ground without capturing anything.

Fane gets back on his feet and follows Luke. Once the cleric is in reach, he tries to pull him towards the door but can't get him to move.
Reposition combat maneuver, AoO for Luke if you want

A perky giggle comes from where the net is lying on the floor and the next second, Lorzub feels another sharp sting, this time from a different direction. Again, the wound feels like it spreads cold through his body. 16 hp, 1 Str drain again

And once he does that he makes a break for the door, knowing that he cannot take another hit like that.

And hopefully Lorzub leaves the building...

M Human Cleric 4

"I'm sorry Fane, but you're under the magic spell of that creature, Ilquis! These rituals are help spreading the plague, not stop it!" Luke swings the flat of his blade at Fane's legs, trying to knock them out from under him.

AoO trip attempt: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Luke provokes an AoO for the trip attempt, although my impression is that Fane is still unarmed.

Before Fane can even get a hold on Luke, the lucky man knocks him to the ground.

As Lorzub leaves his position he feels a slight draft as if something had just missed him by an inch and a high-pitched curse can be heard while the half-orc leaves through the door into the adjacent, low-lit room.

"Don't strain yourself," she says sternly, letting the wounds mend. She glances into the room. "That invisible... annoying..."

She grumbles, her language foul.

Not one to usually let himself show emotion, Lorzub does his best to be thankful for the healing. "Well, it was best you got out of there, anyhow." Muttering a few curses of his own in his native tongue, "Forpulte jævla usynlig dyret..." Lorzub looks back towards the door. "We cannot beat this beast this way. We need to get the rest of them out of there. Two of them can't hear us and the other can't be seen! This is a jævla mess!"

Surprised at the magic using woman's grasp of Orcish, he gained a bit more respect for her and an even greater desire to protect her. This party was new to him, but ever since his parents he had travelled solo, this was the first group he had fought side by side with in a long time besides his scrapes with Luke. Luke was the first person he stuck with in quite a while. He never wanted what happened before to happen again...

Racking his brain, Lorzub looked to Adalieh, "Surely there must be something we can do, we can't simply let them die! I there some magic you possess that could... get the attention of the deaf two and at least get them to consider fleeing. I fear it's going to be a slaughter in there. At least Corso is undetectable at the moment. One more hit like the ones I had been taking and we wouldn't be talking right now."

Invisible:
Noticing things turning sour, Corso hums a spell of alteration, willing his form into that of a bugbear. He takes in the scents surrounding him and turns, back, aiming for his friends and their invisible assailant.

And reappear, smiling a bugbear grin: "Like it? It's the new me!!"

Corso:
You take in the air of the room and filter out the smell of the wax. A hint of pine and rainwater catches your attention and you move to close in on it. As you near the place where Lorzub got hurt, your newly gained sense assures you: The invisible creature is right in front of you!

Out of thin air a bugbear appears right next to where Lorzub stood just a moment ago. To your relief, it speaks with Corso's voice as it swings its sword hard at the space in front of it. And the swing connects! A coughed curse can be heard and blood spills on the floor but the villain remains unseen.

Seeing the fey blood spill out from Corso's swing, Luke turns his attention from the befuddled couple and moves to strike the fey creature.

Luke provokes from Oana as he moves to where the blood fell. If possible, he'll move into a flank with Corso. He won't use Adoration on Oana's AoO, he'll save it in case Ilquis tries to hit him.

Luke swings his greatsword through the air, hoping to feel it catch on wings or flesh.

The elemental moves towards Oana with outstretched limbs and tries to get a hold on her. The furious woman manages to swing her club at it and smash a few chunks of earth, but she can't avert the hold.

To Luke's disappointment, his swing doesn't connect.
Fane stands up and, seeing Oana in obvious danger, storms towards the elemental, bringing his club down on it. His attack is too angry and too poorly aimed to cause any damage, however.

Lorzub cringes as his recent wound starts to act up again. The cold still radiates from it like an unnatural taint.1 Str damage

Feeling his body be healed, but still weak at the same time, he gives into what Adalieh is doing for him, and allows himself to ask for more. "I feel as if there is something different about this wound. I simply feel weaker even though you have given me some healing. Do you have something for that? Or do you know if one of the others possess those skills? It may not matter if they cannot slay it..." He knows if it comes to it, he's walking back in there.

The outsider does not appear to understand its master. Still, with nothing else to do, it swings its impressive limbs, knocking Oana unconscious.

Luke's luck is still not returning and another swing goes wide.

Fane, screaming in anger, runs towards the elemental and brings his weapon down on it. In his rage, his aim fails and he misses the beast by a mile.

Again the ghostly giggling can be heard: "Crush these tools, if you like. Youuuuu don't stand a chance. Leeeeave now, or be destroyed!"

And with that Luke is hit painfully in the back. 13 hp damage

GM stuff:

Attack elemental: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 251d6 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Attack Fane: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 81d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
miss chance Luke: 1d2 ⇒ 1

Sneak Attack Ilquis: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 251d3 + 2 + 3d6 ⇒ (2) + 2 + (1, 6, 2) = 13

Time for Lorzub to step back into the fray...

Is there any way based on the sound of his voice and the fact that Lorzub just saw Luke get stabbed that he could try and pinpoint where Ilquis is at? I'll roll perception and post my turn, let me know if this is cool.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Hearing the voice of that vile beast and then seeing his friend be stabbed in the back sent Lorzub over the edge, he could wait no longer. Going up to the spot he heard the voice coming from he swung down with his axe, hoping once again to connect with the creature.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Well, here's to giving it your best shot...

Luke: Dammit, sorry! Didn't change anything however...
Lorzub: It's perfectly fine to say "I'll attack the square where Luke was attacked from!" No perception needed as long as you could clearly see the attack.

Lorzub's angry attack misses to connect.
