Corso, well the five bugbear of him, gets back in the fray, homing in with his scent. He lashes with his sword, concentrating arcane energy along its edge, going for a wide circular swing in the hope of catching it.

Correct.
Medraut gestures wildly but does not catch the elemental's attention. It is too busy to get rid of Fane, who is desperately trying to get to Oana. With a shockingly powerful blow, the earthy creature strikes Fane down.

Maybe the gory picture was a little too distracting for Luke as his swing seems inept and fails to connect once again.

Fane is lying on the floor next to his companion Oana, a small puddle of blood flowing from underneath them.

"You can crush those fools, but youuuu shall not kill what youuuu can't seeee...hihihi!" smirks your invisible opponent, apparently on the move while doing so. The next moment, Luke feels a pointy blade in his back but its wielder seems hesitant to thrust for some reason and the cleric pushes the invisible blade aside. Adoration worked, I don't know how many uses you have left though. Could you check, please?

Hearing the voice of the creature and seeing Luke react to something Lorzub approaches that space and lets his axe swing again, hoping to finally connect!

Not needing to instruct his summoned creature to attack their opponents, Medraut leaves it to its own devices while he carefully ponders the scenec, shouting at their assailant:

"You still have a chance at surrender, and you may yet keep your life! Yield NOW!"


The elemental seems puzzled as it looks around for any more foes, his feet firmly pressed on the floor. Ilquis is still not touching the ground.

"Yiiiiiiehihihiiield?!" Ilquis exclaims, "This is just stahahaharting to be fun!"

Seeing Luke stabbed and the blood flowing from the wound, Lorzub swings his axe again in the direction of the aggressor, hoping that somehow Luke's luck isn't completely out.

Luke crumples to the ground as the stinger pierces his midriff, bleeding profusely from the gushing wound.

Wide-eyed, while despserately trying to keep an eye on the invisible assailant's location, she hurries over to Luke.

"Oh, fool you," she tells Luke, letting her composure go. "You and your idiotic plans!"

Heal Hex: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (7, 1) + 4 = 12

She attempts again to pinpoint location, and then she moves to Luke trying to avoid walking within Ilquis's attack range. If she is not brutally slaughtered trying to walk, she will use her Heal Hex on Luke.


With Corso as a flanking partner, Lorzub finally manages to hit the invisible creature! Blood splashes on the blade of his axe.

Knowing that Ilquis must be between Lorzub and Corso, Adalieh uses Lorzub for cover as she hurries towards Luke. No AoO, Luke gets 12 hp back

Sorry guys, been super busy this last week.

Medraut focuses on his magic resources, as he utters the final words of a spell his voice rises and there is a harsh final note to it - its intonation causing a breath of warm air to flow between the companions, bringing the smell of brimstone and powdered iron.

Out of thin air, starting with small sparks, eventually a full fledged, man sized fiery orb coallesces - on the spot the wizard's best judgment tells him their invisible foe would be.

The crackling ball of fire manifests right between Lorzub and Corso and in the dancing flames you can see the winged outline of your small but vicious foe. A surprised gasp is audible before you hear the mocking voice again: "Pahahaha! Fire is light, and I am the master of light!"

Luke's dagger swooshes past Lorzub but clatters to the ground somewhere near the room's edge.
The next moment, Lorzub feels another stab, this time to his left flank. 11 hp damage

Feeling the stinging pain of the cold steel once again in his side, Lorzub turns towards it. He hopes to lay his axe into the creature once again, maybe this time sending it to its grave.

Your elemental is gone by now, correct? Should be a duration of 6 rounds if I'm not mistaken.
The sphere moves around and next to Lorzub, where the last attack apparently came from and stops, but nothing seems to happen. "Tihihi", Ilquis chuckles, "Too slow, foohoohool!"

Luke is back on his feet and says his blessing on Oana who still lies motionless on the floor next to her companion Fane.

"What are you doing up again?!" Ilquis' voice seems to jump here and there around Luke before the cleric feels a swoosh of air, as if something had just very closely missed him.

Adalieh slips away from the heat of the fight, raising her Ward on Luke.

Practically fighting blind, Lorzub gets lucky and his powerful swing connects. A crushing sound can be heard and a large gush of blood spills on the floor even though its source remains unseen. "Aaaargh... you green-skinned bastard! I'll kill you for that!" Ilquis exclaims.

Corso is not so lucky and his strike misses.

Luke takes a mighty swing at Ilquis' location, confident his blade will at last taste fey blood.

Finally Luke lives up to his nickname and hits home. "Gah!" Ilquis exclaims snidely, "You're not even worth my time! The baron will make you pay for this! Sooooo lohohong!"

And with these parting words the buzzing sound of quickly flapping wings ceases.

Lorzub spins around, looking in all directions. "Is he gone?" Looking to Luke, he first checks to see he's ok. "Well, what do you make of all this? And how are your injuries?"


Corso uses his sense of smell to try and locate the buzzing thing. If he can't find it: "We should get to the Baron, no? I hate to leave this... and these behind though..."


M Human Cleric 4

"Injuries? Oh yes, injuries. Let me attend to that." Luke grasps his necklace, and the group feels a benevolent energy closing their wounds.

Channeling energy:

2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12

17 total points of healing.

"That was a HARD fight... It seems we will have to struggle every step of the way..."

Feeling Lucky's healing wave wash over him, Medraut concentrates for a short moment, letting his most basic of powers flow through him, to survey the room ahead of them.

Casting Detect Magic.

He then moves towards their fallen foes, aware that also they may be brought back to consciousness by his companion's radiating heal.

Adalieh breathes heavily as she glances over the room, watching Luke's radiance mend the wounds of battle. She hurries over to the henchmen and examines the extent of their damage and trauma.

"The baron, huh..." she mutters.

Lorzub comes up behind Adalieh, poking at one of the bodies with his axe. "Still alive? Let's hope so, maybe they can answer some questions. Like what the hell that thing was and what they were doing in this crazy looking room!"

Lorzub rubs his wounds a little bit, feeling that even though they were mostly healed that there were some deeper wounds inflicted by that blade. "I think that blade did more than just cut me. I don't know much about magic, but I'm pretty sure it's still affecting me. I feel like something is sapping my strength."

I'm still down the 2 str, one damage, one drain. I don't know if anyone has magic to heal that, or I might need a priest. The other one I'll just sleep off later.


Corso nods at Lorzub: "Yes, as much as I want to strangle the good baron at the moment, I also want to know what they've been up to!"

He starts looking around: "Medraut, what do you make of this... experiment?"


Fane and Oana both open their eyes, groaning. Oana is the first to regain her composure: "What... I... where is the... What the Hell did you do?!" She stumbles to her feet and lifts an accusing finger towards you: "Now he's gone and we don't stand a chance agaist this cursed disease! Oh, I hope the Baron has your heads for this!"
