Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Nayce closes the gap between him and Ollesendre, commanding the shadows to assail his foe.

Move to Q9. Echoing Threat 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39 vs Will. 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17 psychic damage. At the end of its next turn, the target takes 10 psychic damage if any creatures are within 2 squares of it.

During your next turn, you can teleport a number of squares equal to your Charisma modifier as a minor action. You must end the teleportation closer to the target.

Edit: Crit damage 3d8 + 24 ⇒ (5, 2, 7) + 24 = 38

Nayce holds to his promise to duel Ollosendre as he advances on the eladrin lord. Shadows flow around him and wrap themselves around Ollosendre at Nayce's command.

Invisible, but still audible, Iji hauls himself to his feet and belches acid again at the pair of goliaths, while a falchion swings out of nowhere at Greeg.

Against his will, Greeg finds himself sliding away from Cronin's protective presence as the oni moves swiftly through the archway to appear grinning behind Kevaras.

Double attack (Acid Breath (Ref) close blast 3 v Greeg and Cronin, Falchion (AC) v Greeg)
1d20+18=37 Acid breath v Greeg. Hits.
1d20+18=30 Acid breath v Cronin. Hits.
1d6+10=14 acid plus 5 ongoing (se)
1d20+22=31 v Greeg. Hits.
2d10+14=28 and slides enemy 2
14 acid to Cronin and 5 ongoing acid (se)
0 acid to Greeg and 5 ongoing (se)
14 damage to Greeg (resist inc.)

Iji uses AP to move.

Greeg - you get an OA on Iji as per your power. Note that he is still invisible while all this happens, so -5 to attack rolls.

MAP

When stunned, dominated or dazed, Iji and Ollosendre don't lose actions but can choose how to use their standard action. In Ollosendre's case, he will choose not to attack. Iji - not so much.

Ollosendre's electric blood. When slowed, grabbed, immobilised or restrained, he deals 10 lightning to adjacent creatures, ends the triggering effect and teleports 5.

M Goliath Cleric 14 / Storm Speaker / Druid

Does the 14+5 include my resist 5? I ask because it's noted for Greeg, but not for me.

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

Still smoking from the acid despite his team's assistance, Don mutters an expletive, going back on the offensive. He makes a beeline to S-10, growling at Ollesendre. "Quit movin around like that!" The wily bandit shoves his knife in a small pouch, flicking sand out at Olle's face, slashing at him immediately afterwards to capitalize on the possible blindness.

Sand in the eyes vs reflex
1d20 + 25 ⇒ (1) + 25 = 26 for 1d4 + 17 + 3d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 17 + (3, 3, 4) + 4 = 33

No Action:Auspicious Dice. Let's remove that 1, and replace it with that 12 I have. Attack roll is now 37 to hit reflex. If THAT doesn't hit, I'll use heroic effort for +4.

No Action: Dazing Strike. Olle is now dazed UEOMNT.

save vs 5 ongoing acid: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Using a bit of sand from that same pouch, the acid finally smoulders out.
Not currently bloodied.

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Sorry. Should be a second shroud on Ollisendre. Forgot to include that in my post.

Male Goliath Warden - Stoneblessed

Greeg yells in frustration as the Oni disapears from view and then slams him away.

"You big coward! Can't take the punishment from the big boys so you run for the little fellas eh!"

He swung his hammer, but the damnable invisibilty made the weapon miss easily. It looked like he was going to have to jog to catch up to the big bugger.

OA vs the Oni. 1d20 + 18 - 5 ⇒ (9) + 18 - 5 = 22, Damage 1d10 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

Crippling Crush* - Deal con mod damage to foe that is slowed or immobilized with a hammer or mace attack

Sudden Roots - Any opponent struck by an attack of opportunity is slowed.(Note, this will also trigger the crippling crush feat)

That's a miss. Also, Greeg is now Bloodied, but still in pretty good shape compared to some

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

forgot to edit something. if mine hits, Olle is blinded USOMNT, so there's no need to daze him this turn, so scratch the Dazing Strike add on, that'll be next round.

Words do not describe my frustration levels at this point :( Feel as if I've been messing you all about for months. Still having computer issues.

@Cronin - no, forgot your resist affected you as well as allies.
@Greeg - you need to make a save v ongoing acid. Note that Iji is now visible again, even though you still missed him. I've moved you within range of the blighter.
@Don - you hit with Auspicious Dice. Hang on to Heroic Effort.

Don advances on the eladrin king with obscure menaces. Pausing fractionally too long, Ollosendre gets a face full of sand and is temporarily blinded as well as definitively wounded.

In the meanwhile, Greeg's rage at his oni foe makes him lose control and his next attack is a failure.

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

We'll get back on track yet, Rev. Don't you worry about me, I'm not going anywhere. I'd almost suggest just getting a small laptop for now until your desktop gets repaired.

Male Goliath Warden - Stoneblessed

That wasn't my turn Rev, that was only the Opportunity attack that I was allowed to make. I'll sort my actual turn later today if its OK with you.

Male Goliath Warden - Stoneblessed

This is what actions I take for my actual Turn Rev.

Firstly Font of Life - Roll one saving throw at the start of my turn. If passed, not affeced for that turn 1d20 ⇒ 12 saving vs slowed effect.

Greeg shrugged off the sluggishness he fel t after the big Oni had hit him and ran. Calling upon the power of the great mountain peaks, he wreathed himself in frigid air, causing crystals of ice to form around his skin and cake teh floor about him. His breathed steamed from his mouth as he laughed again and called taunts in giantish "You don't get away that easily boyo. Time to pay the piper!"

He surged across the room, seemingly dragging the wintery effects with him even as the acid from the creatures breath steamed off his body. The hammer in his hands flared in residual heat from his earlier strike, and for all intents and purposes the big goliath looked like a force of nature itself as the multiple elements combined around him.

Form of Winter's Herald - minor action; Take on the winters herald form and add +1 to AC, resist 5 cold. Each square within 2 of me is difficult ground, no matter where i move.

Move within range of Oni

Form of winter's herald attack - Standard Close burst 1. 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19 Vs AC to everything in burst. 1d10 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19 damage and target immobilized until save. On a miss, targets take half damage and immobilized till end of my next turn.

That's a miss (stupid nat 1's) but he still takes 9 damage and is immobilized.

Save vs acid 1d20 ⇒ 1

Edit - 2 1's in a row, heheheh. Back to form I see :)

Oops.

Greeg thunders towards the oni, his huge feet sending rubble flying as he attempts to hold the acid-belcher in place. Even though the blow misses, the reverberations alone are enough to stop Iji in his tracks.

Thanks Kevaras, Greeg is no longer bloodied. 96 hitpoints and looking to take down the ONI in fact.

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

I know Rev is still scheduled to be out for the rest of the week, but we do have two players who might be able to have their turn before then. Just saying. Also, ensuring my dot still holds.

I have returned :)
Kevaras is off in China at the moment I do believe, so I'll DMPC him when his turn comes up again.

Ever-polite, Kevaras responds to the sense of Greeg's taunt, adding his own measure of pain to Iji the Oni. Inspired by the elegant swordsmanship of his drow companion, Greeg himself feels greatly recovered.

Welcome back Rev, great to see you back in action!

Thanks :) It's good to be back - I've missed you all. Don is running Kev? That's great. I hate DMPCing paragon characters, I always forget something vital.

"Could you cease, desist, and end this harrassment, strange spark like creature that I don't recognise acutally, that's interesting I wonder what you are, do I have a large enough bottle to stuff you into so I can get some proper time in to study what you're like." Guldarin backs away slightly. "Apart from mildly dangerous, that is, and I don't mean that to be offensive but it is only mildly dangerous, though I suppose with greater numbers it could be a lot more than that, and I really shouldn't be giving people ideas about greater numbers of enemies should I now." Guldarin's hands glow, and holy light strikes at the enemies.

Posting to see if this fixes an issue I seem to be having. I seem to be in a loop where everytime I check, this thread has three new posts, but they are the same three each time. Sigh.

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

I had that issue too, mine went away today, so I think we're set.

I've had both that issue and the one where the page constantly re-loads and won't let me post. Seems sorted now.

Nayce matches Ollosendre's own agility as he homes in on the besieged eladrin lord. The blow that follows nearly brings him to his knees and a look of immense gratitude crosses his face.

"Soon I will see Seleuca again," he murmurs.

Iji, on the other hand, is not taking his impending death well. Unable to move, he lashes out at Greeg, taking advantage of the goliath's open wounds.

Caustic Agony (minor), one creature taking ongoing acid. v Will. On hit, target is dazed until it is no longer taking ongoing acid damage.

Save vs onging Acid at end of round1d20 ⇒ 11

Greeg grimaced at the pain that flared throuygh his body as the Oni enhanced the acids from his breath. His eyes watered and he could barely move from the searing pain.

Clenching his teeth, he drove his great legs forward and swaung the hammer in a massive arc at the blurred shape his enemy left in his watery eyes.

There was a satisfying smack of metal into enemy and the Goliath roared his triumph into the chamber, shaking off the pain with the glory of battle.

No longer taking ongoing acid and therefore no longer Dazed I believe. I'm hoping that the 37 hits the guy, despite him having cover from the wall. At least I wrote it that way :)

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

Don slides up the wall next to Kevaras, flicking his knife at the Oni, taking advantage of Greeg's wollop, waiting for the beastie to try his next move.

Kevaras keeps on the pressure, his blade a flash of radiant color.

Virtuous Strike
1d20 + 21 ⇒ (11) + 21 = 32 for 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
and gets +2 to saves USOHNT.

The drow quips, "Fancy seeing you up on the front lines."

Don mutters, "His back is on the other side!"

Yikes. [ooc]

The unlikely tag-team of Greeg, Don and Kevaras swing into action pummeling mercilessly at the raging oni. Greeg's hammer blow is followed almost instantly by a swift dagger thrust from Don and the gleam of virtuous steel from the drow. Somehow my last move (the charge) got undone in the second Oct 22 update, but I never had reason to look at the map after the first Oct 22 move (mine). Don is in that space now. Rev, where do you want me to start from?

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

I could swap up to Deft Strike, which is ranged and would work as well, only diff is that I don't get my reprisal strike, if that helps either of you.

No worries. If Don's OK with using Deft Strike, then I'll just put him behind Cronin and we'll go from there. Technically Cronin should have suffered from the acid breath as well, but I'll let it pass. Map updated.

Happy Halloween one and all. I will be celebrating by face painting the innocent, having an eye test and going to watch son doing some stand up comedy in the local talent show. Should keep me sensibly out of the way of optimistic trick and treaters.

Thanks. Kind of in a rush, so I'll just post OOC and miss.
Minor: Wild Shape back, taking free shift as marked.
Minor: wield halberd
Standard: Wrathful Lightning vs Iji AC

1d20 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 18 = 232d10 + 12 ⇒ (10, 1) + 12 = 23
Don, do you want to be teleported back to the flanking position? If so, you've got it (effect from the attack)

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

I'll never turn down a good flank when I'm unbloodied.

Desperately trying to hold off Nayce's attacks and do as little harm as he can, Ollosendre is nonetheless compelled to act. Tears streaming down his cheeks, he conjures three more spark spheres and glides away from Nayce with a small thunder clap.

Bouncing Bolt (Ref), close burst 10, targets up to three creatures and generates a spark sphere in the burst. Miss, half damage.
Targets Nayce, Guldarin, Cronin
1d20+17=29 v Nayce - hits
1d20+17=32 v Guldarin - hits
1d20+17=24 v Cronin - miss
2d6+8=16
16 lightning damage to Nayce and Guldarin
8 lightning damage to Cronin

Storm Glide - 2d6=2 thunder damage to Nayce and Olli flies half his speed without provoking OAs
2 thunder damage to Nayce

Spark Spheres attack Guldarin, Don and Cronin v Ref.
1d20+19=35 v Guldarin - Hits. 12 Lightning
1d20+21=30 v Don - Miss.
1d20+21=31 v Cronin. Hits. 12 Lightning
12 lightning damage to Cronin and Guldarin

When stunned, dominated or dazed, Iji and Ollosendre don't lose actions but can choose how to use their standard action. In Ollosendre's case, he will choose not to attack. Iji - not so much.

Ollosendre's electric blood. When slowed, grabbed, immobilised or restrained, he deals 10 lightning to adjacent creatures, ends the triggering effect and teleports 5.

An ally who ends a move adjacent to Cronin gains resist 5 acid TSOtheirNT.

Area surrounding Greeg is difficult terrain.

Nayce - +2AC/Ref TENT
Iji - BLOODIED; slowed and in difficult terrain (2 squares of Greeg); slowed TECronin'sNT
Greeg - BLOODIED
Don - gets another attack if Iji attacks him or Kev before start his next turn
Kevaras - +2 saves to SNT
Guldarin
Cronin (EE resist 5 acid) [/b]
Ollesendre - BLOODIED
Spark Sphere 1
Spark Sphere 2
Spark Sphere 3

M Goliath Cleric 14 / Storm Speaker / Druid

Started that at 97/101. First lightning hit does 3 after resist, then grants 5thp, leaving me at 94+5. Second hit does 7 after resist, leaving me at 92, then grants 5thp, so I'm at 92+5 after those shots.
This is really not a winning strategy against a storm speaker.

EDIT: Oh, and +1 to my primal attacks TEOMNT.

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

I had +2 to Reflex on that attack, so my defense was 31. I take half damage.

Nayce regards the spirit with grave determination. He will put the eladrin to rest. He casts his shadowy noose about its form and tries to sever it from unlife.

Executioner's Noose 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19 vs Fort. 1d6 + 18 ⇒ (3) + 18 = 21 force damage on a hit.

Male Dwarf Invoker/Divine Philosopher 14

Guldarin is Bloodied. 31/77 hit points.

I am certainly noticing a certain difficulty in hurting Cronin with these guys. Ollosendre is perfectly fine with that, but it's upsetting Iji. Mind you, anything upsets Iji. It's not hard to piss him off.

Nayce's solemnity is noted and acknowledged by Ollosendre even as the attack misses.

Iji remains determined to go down fighting and keeps his limited attention on Greeg. For some reason, the goliath seems to have upset him.

Double attack on Greeg. Acid Breath v Ref and Falchion v AC. If falchion hits, target slides 2.
1d20+18=37 - hits. 1d6+10=14 acid and 5 ongoing (se)
1d20+22=35 - hits. 2d10+14=30 untyped
44 damage to Greeg plus 5 ongoing acid (se)

Attempting to add insult to acidic injury, the oni adds another layer of pain to the goliath.

Caustic Agony (Will) - only useable v creatures taking ongoing acid. Close burst 5. On hit target is dazed until no longer taking ongoing acid.
1d20+20=33 v Greeg. Hits.
Greeg is dazed until no longer taking ongoing acid.
