Rev DM |
The remained golem continues to fracture under Dram's assault.
Golem notes:
A bloodied golem taking weapon damage automatically does 10 ongoing damage to any adjacent creature.
A golem taking non weapon typed damage makes an attack (close burst 5, enemies only, v Ref). On hit, target takes 2d6+10 of whatever damage type triggered the attack.
Dark square is ex-golem. Moving into it will deliver 5 damage.
To start Kevaras's next turn, anyone within sight within 5 squares gets +5 to saves.
Cronin - resist 5
Guldarin - (Swordy taking 10 ongoing (se))
Greeg - resist 5; used second wind
Nayce - resist 5
Andaros - resist 5; used second wind; 5 ongoing (se)
Golem 2 - BLOODIED; slowed (se)
Kevaras - used second wind; used AP; resist 3 to start next turn
Dram - used AP
Cronin |
Free: Divine Fortune, +1 to my next attack TEOMNT.
Standard: Wrathful Lightning vs AC (weapon, ranged 5, lightning and thunder damage)
Minor: Sustain Resists
1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 17 + 1 = 192d10 + 11 ⇒ (8, 6) + 11 = 25
Um, no. Effect: If he's willing, I teleport Nayce to next to the golem.
Minor: Gift of Good Fortune, Andaros makes a save at +1.
Cronin laughs. "Who do you serve?" he asks the golem nonsensically as he hurls his halbert at the glass creature. The halberd makes a lazy loop around the golem's head and returns to Cronin's hand. Meanwhile, the cleric's calling might be having more effect on his allies.
Rev DM |
Cronin's aim is ruined by the glitter of the rapidly fracturing golem.
Nayce up to you if you want to be teleported.
Andaros +1 to your next save.
Golem notes:

Cronin - resist 5
Guldarin |
Swordy is bloodied.
"Stop damaging my angel. He'll be annoyed with me. I'll have to pray for hours, and my knees aren't up to it today." Guldarin hesitates momentarily, then directs a seris of attacks from his angel against the golem.
three minor actions, all attacks from the sword angel on the golem.
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32 vs fortitude, 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 damage
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34 vs fortitude, 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 damage
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20 vs fortitude, 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 damage
Saving Throw for Swordy, 1d20 ⇒ 11
Rev DM |
IMPORTANT for Andaros make an immediate save at +1. Regrettably that will be wiped out immediately by the angel attacks.
Swordy takes as much advantage as an angel can of driving his blade into the golem. Light splinters nearly as much as the rapidly fracturing glass as more shards rain around.

Guldarin (Swordy BLOODIED and taking 10 ongoing)
Greeg |
Greeg moved into the next golem, seeing his dark elf companion drop back from the damage he'd taken. He roared a challenge at the great glass beast as he did so, trying to bring its attention to him rather than his friends.
in giant "I don't know about the rest of these folks, you great moving mirror, but I serve the primal spirits and the land from which they sprang. AND YOU DON'T BELONG TO IT DAMNIT!"
Move to N20 so I can flank with Andaros.
Mark the golem as a free action
Mountain Sweep - Standard Melee; Up to two opponents. 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 17 + 2 = 26 Vs AC 2d10 + 12 ⇒ (4, 3) + 12 = 19 damage each. - Only one opponent, but its the best damage I have left.
Edit - <sigh> At least I marked it :)
Rev DM |
Greeg rumbles across the room and expresses his irritation with a massive blow. The golem sees it coming just in time and moves ponderously aside.

Rev DM |
Whoops. Yes, Cronin did and I failed to update it properly. You were meant to be at N19 and thus taking 5 ongoing. No point in saving against it as you only get another lot for hitting it.
Nayce's blades sneak out, sending yet more glassy fragments into Greeg, Swordy, Andaros and himself, but it is plain to see that a couple more decent hits will fell this golem too.

Andaros Dawnblade |
Andaros raises the Dawnblade again as he invokes the One Sword technique yet again.
Saving Roll vs ongoing 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Attack vs. Reflex with flank 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 37 Damage 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (5, 5) + 9 = 19
Secondary Attack Vs. Will 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (2) + 19 = 21 Hir: Target dazed until next turn.
Rev DM |
Andaros all but fells the golem, but is ignored by the glassy monster as it uses the last of its strength to attack Greeg.
Double Attack (AC)
1d20+21=31 v Greeg. Hits. 3d10+9=24
1d20+21+34 v Greeg. Hits. 3d10+9=26
50 damage to Greeg. No slide.

Kevaras Zanorin |
End of resist 3. Move to O21.
Wielding his dagger icepick-style, Kevaras brings his bard's songblade down on his glassy whale.
"From the devil king's porcelain throne in Nessus I stab at thee!"
Valorous Smite
1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 17 + 2 = 37 vs AC.
2d4 + 8 ⇒ (4, 4) + 8 = 16 damage and G2 is subject to divine sanction until the end of Kevaras' next turn.

Greeg |
Save at beginning 1d20 ⇒ 7
Takes 5 ongoing
1d20 ⇒ 14 save at end of round.
Takes a total of 45 damage that round dropping him to 31 hp ( you forgot my resist 5 again Rev, but I took it into account this time).
I'll take one of those healing words thanks Cronin. Will post in character this arvo when I am not rushing for work.
Don Zaloog |
Footsteps are heard during the short break as everyone recovers from the immense battle. The ole bandit Don idly walks towards the group, careful not to step on the shards of glass everywhere.
He quietly looks over the bleeding, battered group.
"You guys look like #@$%." He chuckles to himself, flipping a knife between his fingers, "Here I thought that watering hole had itself a few more secrets to give up..." With a groan he sits down to join the group, continuing with a disgruntled tone "I was wrong, its just a rats nest in the desert..."
He tosses his knife in the air, "You guys learn anything while I was out?"
Sorry I couldn't rejoin any sooner, had a hospital stay that I won't bore you with details of, needless to say though, I'm back in.
Guldarin |
"Weere our bums really in danger? I was rather more worried about my head being smashed in or my body being reduced to a bloody pulp, myself. Or was this danger to our bottom in the sense that the Pearl Fish is a danger to Sea Cucumbers? Which sounds extremely painful, to be truthful."
Guldarin will spend 1 healing surge, 7 reamin.
Greeg |
Greeg leaned on his hammer and surveyed the scene, looking to see that all of his companions had made it through. The golems had caught him by surprise a little, but the fight had been a good one. They weren't much for banter though. He bent momentariy, carefully taking one of the flatter and more pretty shards of glass left from the broken creatures. I reckon Meeren will like this little keepsake. Maybe she can make a mirror of it" he thought as he placed it into his pack.
He acknowledged Don with a nod and a grin, before moving over and clasping Cronin on the shoulder in thanks "You kept me upright there my friend. Again it seems I you my life!"
He also walked over to the druid and his bear companion, looking at the creature with some curiosity before giving the fur on his shoulder a good hard thumping pat. "Dirt, you are a great asset in a fight me boyo. Not that you understand what I'm saying mind, but you can fight beside me anytime old bear"
3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1) = 9
Spend 2 healing surges which takes me to 104 out of 129 hitpoints and 9 surges left.

You're at the bottom of a tower. There are four heavily rusted doors - one on each wall. Black squares are ex-golem and basically shattered glass. Don't walk on them. The gridded area is a heavy grille leading down.
In the aftermath of the battle, you notice that the floor appears to be a map. It is meticulously crafted from mosaic and has survived the years well.
Greeg |
Greeg looks over the mosaic map while Don checks the exits. He tries to make sense of the symbols to see if there's something he can recognize to get them oriented before moving on.
perception 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
dungeoneering if that helps too. 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
Rev DM |
The mosaic is a map of the entire world. Most of it is familiar, but some areas seem slightly different. Coastline is not precisely as it should be and the course of at least one major river is not as the goliath remembers. Major cities are marked too, but they seem to be referring to cities in existance in the time of the Nerathian empire.
Despite the archaic labelling, Greeg recognises Giant runes when he sees them. The map is at least 500 years old. One item is of particular interest. A city marked as "Kadralu" seems to be flying.
Don wanders over to examine the eastern door while Greeg looks at the floor. Running his hands over the corroded bolts, he comes to the conclusion that they are unpickable. It looks quite possible to lift the bolt however.
Strength check DC20.

Might a History check reveal anything more? 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26 if there's anything of relevance.
