Dang autocorrect. Gip, not hip.

If I start with Weapon Finesse, can I swap it out for something else when I level up into Unchained Rogue, since I get it for free then?

Also:
Money: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7

Gip would be my character. He's going for Spellsniffer, which switches Wizard over to Wisdom, and I roll the gold earlier. ^^

I really need to look at alias's better

Sure, that's fine.

Are we doubling weapon and armor costs for tiny, per usual? Because when you only have 7gp, a dagger gets pretty darn costly :-P

Dark Archive

Hum... I do not know if tiny weapons and armor actually makes sense for this... the PCs are babies and which culture would make baby scale armors and swords?

I think it would be more realistic and funny to just try to use regular goblin-size weapons... a shorsword would be a long one, a dagger becomes a shortsword... if the -4 for size gets ridden of, it would work quite nicely.

For the dagger, perhaps a stolen dining knife from some longshanks might do the trick.

Yeah, I'm just trying to figure what I can cobble together. A dagger is really his "theme" when he levels up.

Also, what about clothes? Normally, PCs start with one free outfit worth 10gp or less, but...well...

I would like to submit

Shiny Teeth - The Goblin with the grill.

any questions please let me know

From the Core rulebook Pg. 153

The armor cost for Tiny creatures will cost 1/2 as much with 1/10th the weight. but AC bonus is divided by 2.

Small is normal cost with 1/2 the weight

weapons will cost the same thou no matter the size - unless GM house rules it

Huh, I must have held that over from 3.5. Nice!

Yes, it'd be d3 if adjusted for size, but considering that baby goblins only get half the skill bonuses i thought it would be fair to shave off another die category.
That seems fair. Alright, d2.

Didn't see this when I posted. Will make the adjustment now.

bah, I've got too much going on. I'll have to pass.
Great idea though. sounds fun.

Ked has been given the reverse-Tom-Hanks-Big effect, and is done, aside from equipment, which clearly won't take long.

Since the other goblin campaign I'm in the running for has just updated, provided I get into that, this guy is subject to change, 'cause it'd be weird IMO to run the same guy in two games at different ages, especially if he dies when younger and causes a paradox!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

See, you say that, but Gip has been in multiple games where he died previously. I call him a Doctor Whoblin.

Interested People: order of posting

Statboy Expressed interest
Threeshades Interest as Bitey bigjob, warrior/commoner to become feral gnasher
Thegreeteagamer Expressed interest, undecided on character
Uret Jet Interest, no idea what your character is going to be.
Sir Longears Ulk, commoner to be Alchemist, Winged marauder grenadier
Cartmanbeck Interest, no character yet
Azten Commoner to be Spellsniffer Spellsage wizard.
Brandon Dellmen Interest, Unchained barbarian.
voodooChili Thud Thud, Warrior to be Barbarian
Cuàn Interest, no character yet
Shub-Niggurath’s cousin Al Spooky Mags, Adept to be Necromancy Occultist

Goblin ghost stories are ridiculous, nice job.
If so many people are signing up, I may do a separate campaign with the same idea later.

Well crap sorry Threeshades didn't see that you were already making a Feral Gnasher mmm I'll keep my current submission but I'll look into submitting a different goblin.

mmm looking at the list we don't have enough Fire loving gobs.....

Dark Archive

DM, what is your thoughts about Ulk buying a light crossbow with the fragile condition for a fraction of its price?

Asking this to not make him completely useless. LoL

With just Str 6, there is no way for him to deal any amount of damage from distance...

...and I got in the other game with Ked, so I'll swap this up to another class and name. I'll have it up by tonight. Sorry about that. Been waiting a WHILE to hear about that one.

Crunchwise I only need to spend my gold. Though there is not too much there that would be useful and affordable. I could get a greatclub, but I have my bite, or get a padded armor for +1 AC. Maybe I'll just spend it on jerky. I figure bitey would be someone who likes the sensastion of biting things that are hard to chew.

Apologies for not posting, I've been traveling all day.
You can buy a crossbow for less, I'll say 7 gp. And I'll try to get you your bombs quickly.
thegreenteagamer, from what I've seen, this group will be a little low on healing, so that could be an idea.
If everyone gets their characters done by the 23rd, we can start. Even on the 22nd would be fine.
I like sir longears idea for items. You can ignore the penalty, and use kitchen knives. Funny image :)

Ok this will be my submition for the campaign my Torch wielding Commoner/Skuld.
So please remove Shiny teeth from submission.

Torch the Flame Singer

Any questions please let me know

I think I'm going to pull out. You have a lot of entries, I'm balancing a few plates, I just got into the other goblin game which is moving as slow as molasses but I already had a finished character for it, and I got accepted into two others in the meantime, so I have a pretty full load when you count four games and running two. Good luck.

Sad to see you go.
Brandon Dellmen, I'm not sure what the problem is, but the link does not work. I managed to find torch in your aliases, but their does not seem to be anything in the profile.

What about monk?

I don't seem to see it in the list of npc classes, I would assume it is under warrior.

Monk is commoner. This is done because it doesn't fit into any of the others, which all have either more skill points or better armor proficiency. Also, if you take commoner, you can start with punching things right away by taking improved unarmed strike and trading it in when you get to level 1.

Weird ok lets try again :P
Torch Link

Right... here is Ulk! (Sir Longears here)

Since I'll be taking the fragile light crossbow, I'll treat it as a heavy one, taking a full-round to reload, since the gobbo is tiny!

Thanks, that works.

Well, if Threeshades can finish Bitey tinygob's equipment list, we can get started with 5 players.
At the moment I would be taking the people who have their characters done or almost done.
Bitey Tinygob (Threeshades), Ulk the Bouncy (Sir Longears), Gip (Azten), Spooky Mags (Shub-Niggurath’s cousin Al), and Torch the Flame Singer (Brandon Dellman).

Laugh and stab and eat and sin
OOH I can't wait to begin

Torch - the flame singer wrote:

Me neither:)

You know what? Everyone I listed is in. Threeshades, get your equipment done asap, and I'll start the gameplay and discussion threads right now.
EDIT: And we have started. Onward to whatever happens next!

I know you guys already started, but if you still are cool with squeezing Ked in, I'm really not enjoying the other game. I still have the sheet of him as a commoner for your game, as you can see. If not, it's cool.

Sure, glad to have you. You can just say that you are the cooks son, and you are staying in his kitchen. Just let me check with the others, but I'm sure you can post.

...explains the obsession with knives! I'll read the thread over and be in ASAP (kinda at work)
