After watching Flug with the doors, I follow Gezzo and Lryhla to the Dark Room and watch Gezzo's actions there. I am excited to see the white crystal rod on the floor! Going into Fast Stealth mode I sneak into the room and go directly to the white crystal rod on the floor and securely grasp it in my left hand! And being a Rogue, I can't resist looting the corpses while I am there. Then using my Escape Artist skill I rapidly retreat back out the door.

Fast Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25

Perception (for looting the corpses): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

Escape Artist: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

Imowen sneaks into the room of Darkness, and immediately disappears into the cover of darkness. She is not noticed by Gezzo, and she makes her way toward the device in the middle of the room. She manages to locate and pick up the white crystal rod, and then she starts rummaging among the corpses looking for loot!

When she touches one of the bodies, the hideously malformed, hairless, pustule-covered corpse moves and snarls more like an undead hound than an undead man! It leaps up and attacks her, biting and clawing!

Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Claws: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 and 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

It latches onto her arm and takes a bite out of it 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6, inflicting 6 points of damage!

Everyone roll for Initiative. The map is updated.

I take my undead Bane Light Mace at my side and bring it forcefully up under the creature's chin and rake it on up across his face while pushing hard on it, hopefully knocking him off balance. Then I dash for the door and back out into the Earth room, still clutching the white crystal rod in my left hand!

The two fetid, pustule-covered creatures move adjacent to Gezzo and turn to face the door to the Earth room, snarling and gnashing their teeth in anticipation...

Cast Sanctuary on myself (5 rounds, DC 16 Will negates) and move to the square southwest of the device. I'll only trigger #1's attack on the way there.

"What plea, so tainted," Flug says, observing Gezzo's fanatical protection of the device and the creatures standing next to Gezzo. He raises a hand and brings it to the left side of his chest, over his heart.

"We will to sanctuary." An inner black light begins emanating from his skin, spreading outwards to mix with the shadow that covers him.

He steps into the room, almost melding with the darkness inside, and walks around the group, turning towards the device. He peers at it, wondering if he can remove some of the inserted crystals.

Flug casts a spell upon himself and walks around to the southwest corner of the strange device in the center of the room.

Rufina and Thorgrim share a glance at each other, nod their heads, ready their weapons, and then they both charge into the room of Darkness and attack Creature #1!

Celif frowns. "Gezzo, what is wrong with you!" she snarks while cautiously moving into the room and stepping to one side of the doorway. I can't see any coordinates on the map... she's "northeast" of Thorgrim, or exactly on the dark side of the wall from the opened door.

It's difficult to see, but she can just barely make out things that look suspiciously undead. She therefore calls on the glory of Septimus, sweeping her palms out and up as she chants.

5-foot step to south of the device and I'll try to fiddle with it to get out what rods are presumably inserted in it.

Imowen appears to be unfriendly, her eyes narrowing and gazing intently around the room. Don't get any funny ideas, Nastrod. I don't think you are a present danger, but your words and actions might change my mind...

Gezzo yells as he directs Lryhla in between the machine and Flug. He pushes Flug away as they attempt to maneuver.

Attempting to push Flug back and take his space next to the machine. Using Bull Rush to push him away, since I'm not sure what else would apply.
