Imowen runs into the southern room...and as soon as she touches the clear crystal four creatures emerge from the rocks and try to reach her before she can run out of the room again!
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
She sees the creatures emerge, and tries to escape, but one of the creatures catches her before she can leave the room. It wraps its rocky arms around her and grapples her!

Right after Imowen is grappled, Flug yells an eldritch word that somehow allows her another chance at escape.
Liberating Command on Imowen. She gets another Escape Artist check to escape the grapple with a +10 bonus from me!

Why is everybody yelling at me? I say as I again try to get free of the animated rock while still clutching the clear crystal rod. Then I say "A HUGE thanks you to you, Flug, for your help with that spell to help me free myself from this abdominal rock!

Hmmm...I'm guessing we're going to need to get that blue crystal from the fire room and get it in the water room. Anyone have any tricks to protect us from these walking elements? My skills are a bit limited in that department.

Celif frowns. "Well, as I said I can call up a small elemental. Once. But I can't communicate with it."
"I could also call forth a little physical protection, but it won't be enough against those things."

Does Mage Hand work for the purpose of levitating the crystal into the slot? If it doesn't, does Pilfering Hand as something like a Disable Device check?

Yes, you may use either spell to perform their intended functions.

"I-I can."
Flug approaches the fire room but stays outside it, reaching out with his hand towards the crystal before pulling the hand back. As he continues, his shadow seems to be moving different from himself.
I'll use Mage Hand to pick up the crystal in the fire room and levitate it to the slot in the water room.

Flug tries to use a magic spell to obtain the crystal laying in the room of Fire, without actually entering the second room, but for some reason the spell does not seem able to penetrate the doorway. Some kind of resistance keeps the spell within the current room.
For reasons which remain unknown for now, there seems to be some type of barrier allowing you to be in one room and influence another room. You will need to enter the Fire room if you want your spell to work.

Flug backs out of the Fire Room and heads for the Water Room, preparing to do the same thing again but instead to insert the crystal into the empty slot.

Flug successfully obtains the blue crystal, and as he backs out of the Fire room he notices Fire Elementals starting to rise out of the lava pools in the room. As he exits, the elementals sink back down into the lava and disappear. The door to the Fire room closes itself after a few moments...

Flug nods to Gezzo and prepares to enter the Water room, blue crystal floating atop his shadowed hand.
He waits a few moments for everyone to get into position before stepping into the water room and stretching his hand forward to move the crystal to the slot.

Flug steps into the Water room and uses magic to insert the blue crystal into the strange device in the center of the room. He then back out into the Light room, just in time to avoid several water elementals who started rising at his presence. The gauge on the device elevates to 100%. After a few moments, the door to the Water room closes itself...

That was awesome, Flug! You are so smart and talented.
And to everyone I say, I have been thinking that the clear crystal I put in this device doesn't belong here. The rest of the crystals are white.
Having said this I step over to the device and remove the clear crystal, and wait to see if anything happens.
Then I say, If you are right, Nastrod, perhaps this clear crystal goes in the device in the air room. Where do you suppose that is?

Celif nods. 'This seems like a maze of rooms. Or maybe a checkerboard of them, with each having doors leading into the others. But how can we proceed?" She looked around the group. "Have we a way to scry, so Flug can reach into other rooms without direct sight? Maybe a way to pass through the walls?"
"The floating light doesn't seem very helpful," she adds with a frown.

Celif shakes her head. "I don't know if we have that kind of time. The light being said it was weak and growing weaker by the moment."

"Maybe they're slow enough that we can run through one at a time?" Celif ponders doubtfully. "Anyway, I can ask the floating light about the delay."
She returns to stand near the light entity and looks up at it. "మేము ప్రగతి చేశారు, కానీ మా శక్తులు బలహీన పెరుగుతాయి. మీ విజయానికి మిగిలిన సమయంలో ఉంది?"

Celif blinks. "Well... it says we can take the time to rest after all. And that we'll come to no harm here."
She looks at Gezzo. "Is there something I can use the minor elemental summons for, before I rest? And if there are invocations you think might be particularly beneficial to the situation, I can pray for them after I rest."

Send the bugger into soften up those earth elementals! Gezzo chuckled. But seriously, if Septimus would provide us with some sort of protection from earth or the elements in general...that would be very helpful.
Gezzo grooms Lryhla while she eats. A way to control the elements would be even better, I suppose.

Celif nods thoughtfully at the suggestions, then pulls a reference book from her backpack and begins leafing through it.
Sorry for being so quiet; things got unexpectedly busy at work. I probably won't be able to dig into the spellbook until this weekend.

You basically have three choices, to go through one of the three doors. You can enter the Fire Room, which is very hot, contains lava, and has fire elementals; enter the Water room, which contains knee-deep water restricting movement, has water elementals, and the chance of drowning if knocked prone; or the Earth room, which is basically a small cave with Earth elementals in it.
