Ok, it seems we're in a bit of Hiatus...

are you waiting on me? please don't hold it up just because of that, I will post in a day, and I really don't want people hating me because of it o.O

if there is a specific reason why I would be needed right away please PM me

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

I just think that between me/scranford/Duran, we might want to start posting regularly tomorrow. If you need to you can roll a Patience check in the mean time.

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

sorry, am working on the sheet already, but I use metric system and have to convert and think in the feet/lbs stuff, this makes the actual sheet writing process extra hard, and I am already tired when I can get before the PC after work (damn heat this summer doesn't help either), writing up inventory is my archnemesis

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

Youre fine. I understand it'd be hard. Math is my archnemesis...

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

Patience:1d20 - 10 ⇒ (14) - 10 = 4 lmao

Female Dwarf Ranger(Guide)

Does Paizo make a metric version for our Euro friends?

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

I'm not sure... Also just wanted to let you know, We'll start in earnest today. So be prepared :)

...annnnnd Prepped! ;)

Female Dwarf Ranger(Guide)

Im just waiting for some sort of james brown,
"hardest working man in show business" intro.

lol

Female Dwarf Ranger(Guide)

me too

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

Majority of work finished, char sheet link in my alias profile is still not active (I am working on it right now), but all the background info on the character, his family, his goddess, and some additional data can be found in the Alias page now.

My character will basically look like the avatar I use for this alias, but with dark red hair.

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

Can't wait to meet up. Maybe then you all can educate Kilaim cuz he freakin clueless lol

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

I am really sorry that you need to wait for me, I got a headache but i will finish this damn charsheet soon

btw, no, I don't have a metric version of the game, but just as US people always think in feets and lbs in the english language, I also think to myself in metric and hungarian, so it still makes it hard to fix up these things, so whenever possible I just ignore the weight values for inventory (not as if I would run around with 3 plate mails and a dozen two-handed swords anyway)

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

What other language do you know besides English?

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin
drawesome1111 wrote:

Well, Hungarian obviously, then also German, mediocre Latin, and a bit of French, "Maltese", Japanese, and Dutch, but am not really good at them. (Dutch basically only due to knowing English and German so i never learned it, can decipher it using the other two somewhat. Japanese only spoken.)

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

Wow... that's incredible.

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin
drawesome1111 wrote:

Not at all, other than Hungarian, English, and German, I don't dare to speak in French if I can avoid it (strong Hungarian accent is already quite famous in English, while it basically "breaks" French), and well... Latin is hard to converse in with people other priests in Rome and Malta. While many of these come due to the location of Hungary or my work, Japanese comes from my hobby playing their games and watching anime that I polished up with a language course XD

...anyway, I am checking the remaining stuff up for the sheet, Mr. GM, you check my details on the Alias page meanwhile please. It is basically what we discussed before, but if you see typos and such, inform me please.

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

WEll it reminds me of a joke... what do you call someone who speaks 2 languages?

((Also your link doesn't take me to the sheet, just to myth weavers))

Americans are so dumb, we only know one language, or maybe I should say MOST american's are so dumb. I think EVERY other country in the world speaks at least 2 languages, usually it's many more than that. I speak two, and can muddle my way through french, sometimes. But that's just cause I lived in another country for two years! :)

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

I understood the second one! :)

XD

anyway, finally ready to go!

Updated alias page, Link should work now, I used the scent cloak as base for a red cape with my family Coat of Arms (dwarven rune?), paid the same cash for it but made it weight only 1 lbs as its not that much fabric. It is basically a flavor cape.

I prepared Duran's equipment as you can see it work in/out of combat in many games, like Dragon Age as example. This means he will wear a battleaxe and shield on his back while fighting usually with his two-handed maul ("earth breaker"), he still has a light crossbow attached on his waist and also a switchblade knife (mostly for flavor) hidden in his boot.

To buy equipment with a noble dwarf in mind and without losing the concept I had to make some expensive purchases, first there is the 75g costing Noble Outfit (some places I guess wouldn't allow you in without looking right) but there was also the flavor decision to buy the costier field plate instead of the banded mail as i think this semi-plate armor fits the image of a noble commander and castle owner better.

In the end, without the Rich Parents trait I wouldn't have been able to equip him like this, and none of my things are masterwork either. I am still pretty happy with the result as I got enough cash to hire now and then an escort or other services. :)

Female Dwarf Ranger(Guide)

Hi, I have been doing my work for five years in consulting and let me tell you most people irrelevant of where they come from do not speak more than their native language. I speak fluent German, some Afrikaans, basic Korean and Elementary Russian(which I really need to work on being in Moscow and all). @Duran, its tough. I still have a hard time when Ive got all these crazy measurements running through my brain, currencies. At least Pathfinder is supposed to be fun :) I need all of this crap for my job.

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

easter eggs: sorry if I overdid it :p

edit: just started to read the previous RP posts, wow, maltese, now that was a coincidence

Female Dwarf Ranger(Guide)

Hey, how far is Stonewood from Kel Mar?

Stonewood is a settlement both above and under the surface, near the southern borders, at the foot of the mountains. It acts as one (or the only?) of the towns that trades with the human settlements to the South. The actual distances are up to the GM, although Stonewood is directly connected with Kel Mar through the Obsidian Road so it is fairly quicker to travel through it than the usual, smaller subterranean trade roads.

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

Bravo Jorian. I like how you think.

Yeah I saw you spoke Maltese after I'd already selected it, I was going for obscure, but little did I know we've got a group of linguists on our hands! ;)

DM:
I updated my profile to include stats for Gidma. FYI.

Hungarian Paladin of Light 2/ Bard of Serious Business 4/ Grand Master 3/ Judge 1

it is kinda funny, this is the first time in RPG that I know Druidic (heck, even when I played a druid that language got never any use)

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

So I'm a little confused. Was the save for knowing who the king is? Also I imagined Kilaim being in one of the barracks very close to the Darklands and having to spend quite a bit of time to reach Kel Mar proper. In my background I had stated being in the military, so I would assume I would know who the King is and also his general whereabouts. As in The President usually resides in Washington DC etc.

I had a similar thought, I was thinking the president of the dwarves would be fairly common knowledge, especially the king of 'the last dwarven stronghold'. Plus I was imagining Firbell already at Kel Mar, but I don't see how he could be there and not know of the king, so I just altered his story to living a fair distance away. Just rolling with it :)

here's a map of the outside world, I'm working on one of the caverns and trails under the mountains.

password on the link is: lastforge

Also you're right. Killiam if you wanted you could be in Kel Mar if you would prefer.

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

Kilaim was assigned to the deep tunnels that often become home to "unwanted" visitors. With DM approval It hss been some time since he was above ground and he is hours if not days to where the actual stronghold lies. Kind of the "frontier" of the darklands.

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

we could meet then on the obsidian road maybe

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

Sorry for my ignorance but is that underground?

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

yes, it is one of the great underground trade roads made by House Davadar

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

Im still unsure is this setting a far off place in Golarion or a home brew?

Male Human Bard/Psychologist/Writer.

It's homebrewed but in the same world as Golarion. Unless I'm mistaken there are sections of the Golarion world that aren't filled in yet. Btw I have a picture that includes the obsidian road, the expanse and Kel Mar. I am gonna work on it a bit, but if there's anything else you want on it let me know and I'll add it in.

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

just a reminder that at one end of the obsidian road is Stonewood, about in the middle it connects to the capital, and in some other direction from there it goes to the Stoneward Plains on the other side

there are two more great trade roads, the Iron Road and the Silver Road, but their locations or where they pass through I didn't decide, so you can just place them wherever you want, and can go through the capital or not
The names come from what is traded the most/is worth most on it

to make it easier to imagine how these roads look like, if you played Dragon Age then remember how the huge dwarven corridors/road network underground looked like, the roads here just like that, huge tunnels reinforced with stone as walls, with some dwarven runes and artwork on it

Female Dwarf Ranger(Guide)

I would suggest putting it in northern Casmaron, where there is virtually no source material and is land connected to Avistan.

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

I honestly would have preferred a fully new and unrelated world, not Golarion, not Forgotten Realms, no etc

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

I like it. I won't have reservations of using Kilaim in Golarion later.

Female Dwarf Ranger(Guide)

My sentiments exactly

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

If its okay I'd rather the DM describe my arrival. I dont want to completely create the city for him. I will travel until I arrive lol

Yeah I liked that Firbell's path was sort of laid out for him step by step.

Male Dwarf Stonelord Paladin

sorry, I just wanted to also arrive at the city fast, if that is a problem I edit/remove it (if possible)

Male Dwarf Barbarian/1 18/18 AC: 15 Init: +2 Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Wil:+0

No i just wanted to have him do it for me that wasnt intended for anyone else. I find it more fun that way.
