Excellent Tarlane, Im looking forward to it. I wont have access to my computer until later on this evening today, Im on the road traveling, but ill do my best to get a post in this evening.

Has the post for the game thread been put up yet?

It wasn't up before, but it is now. Sorry about that, my Saturdays are normally busy but yesterday went to the extreme. I didn't get home til about 3am.

Gameplay Thread

NP...thanks

Okay...starting up a conversation here, cause I don't think the main thread needs too much cluttering up. (^_~)

Okay...I was under the assumption that a bag of 2500 Gp hit the table.

There's going to be five of us players, so the 'split' of said bag is 500 Gp each.

We all had a night and day, effectively, to buy anything extra we thought 'we' as separate characters would need.

Am I okay with things so far?

Just looking for other folks input. *Bows*

Much cheers to you and yours.

(Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5)

Sounds right to me, we subtract our share f the gold spent on community healing gear from the 500.

Ah....right....well....uhm...here's the rub. I've already allocated Meera's allotment.

After buying her new armor, weapons, etc she has 342 Gp left. That's hoping to cover room. kenneling, board etc while we're here.

Sorry, but I kind of went with the "Here's your 500 Gp each. Spend away." (-_-)

Sorry. :(

EDIT" I'm okay with giving over the needed difference when we get our share of the other half of the pay? Or out of any 'spoils' we make from this venture?

(Male Human Urban Druid 5)

Hello there everyone. Tarlane invited me to join your group. I'll be bringing in a knowledgeable Urban druid to the group, so we have a bit more healing and buffs, along with knowledge checks. I look forward to working with you all.

Our new player should be posting up here to introduce himself soon, he said that he's finishing up his character now.

On to the money, realistically a lot of what you are going to be spending on in town will probably be minor things or stuff that helps the group as a whole(bribes, potions, dealing with people, picking up gear you decide you need to get into the keep) so as long as we know where it is things don't even have to be totally split up.

I leave those things in the groups hands with whatever they feel comfortable with and I realize most of your characters are somewhat mercenary and so trying to make sure they get evenly paid has importance. However as long as everyone agrees with such purchases and there aren't problems with giving things to those who could most use them we shouldn't have too much trouble since you will be together through both modules.

Edit: Ah, he beat me to it. Welcome.

Andoran (Male Human PFS: Inquisitor Level 9 Play by post: Level 5)

Welcome Nolan,
It will be nice to have you aboard.

I'm sorry i forgot about this discussion thread

I guess for healing, Im proposing something like this:

a wand of cure light wounds with 50 charges costs 750.

a potion of cure moderate wounds costs 300 gp

a potion of cure light wounds costs 50 gp

1 Wand of CLW= 750
3 pot CMW= 900
5 Pot CLW= 250
total 1,900

Divided by 5 380 gp

Each person's share would be 380 gp.

I guess I was thinking the money could come out of our 500 cut of the 2,500 gp advance the the general gave our party.

Now that Nolan has Joined us I would suggest that he carries the Wand of Cure Light wounds.

Out of the starting funds (not the cash the general gave us, but the "wealth by level" funds, I purchased for Hugh a wand of cure light wounds, and a wand of Protection from evil.

I would suggest that the three potions of cure moderate wounds should go to Maeltheron, Meera, Willard.

Also i would suggest that each character gets a Cure Light wounds Potion.

We could divide the healing resources another way if you like.

Well, I don't mind putting up the difference Meera.

Also we don't need to buy these healing items. we have an inquisitor and a druid to cover healing.....i just thought it would be useful.

What do you all think? shall we go in for a wand and these potions?

(Male Human Urban Druid 5)

If it makes you feel better, I already own a CLW wand. Got some pots of CMW too, since you can never have too much healing.

Welcome Nolan, I agree with the alottment buy Hugh. i will put a potion of Cure Moderate and Cure Light on my sheet and pocket 120GP.

(Male Human Urban Druid 5)

I am fine with putting in for another wand of curing, since the inquisitor can use it. Two people with a wand of cure is good in a group.

To Hugh Berenger,

I totally agree with you ideas, it's just that your suggestion reached 'me' the player after I'd spent 'Meeras' money.

Also, while I wholeheartedly enjoy group role playing, currently our characters know each other less than spit (Just getting in character with posting) So pooling recourse is probably not something said characters would be doing this early in the piece.

Again, sorry to throw your plans awry, so here's hoping we fight, feast and fun well together! (^_^)

Also, hello Nolan.

Andoran (Male Human PFS: Inquisitor Level 9 Play by post: Level 5)

Meera, No problem...

you are probably right. our characters probably would not necessarily trust each other right away.

However old gaming habits die hard. when playing this game i am used to pooling resources and cooperating.

Well, we may not need the cure light wounds wand. It seems Nolan and I both have a cure light wounds wand.

3 pot CMW= 900
5 Pot CLW= 250

Total= 1,150

Divided by 5 = 250 a piece for the potions.

*Nods* to Hugh Berenger,

Please, don't get me wrong. I very much prefer co-operative dungeon delving as well, but (And I hate to use that) I think it will take a small amount of time for the characters to get to know one another. *Bows* (^_^)

Meera has already allocated a huge amount of moneys towards Cure light wounds potions. What do you think are in all the little pockets of her 'Adventuring sash'? (^_~)

Much cheers to you and yours.

Excellent, I will add another 130 into my kitty!

(Male Human Urban Druid 5)

I haven't really added any money from the split myself, and I already bought myself some CMW pots, along with a few other useful potions. And it isn't really that odd for people who don't really know eachother to pool resources for a mission. After all, if you want to look at it from a more selfish perspective, giving money to a group fund to buy items in the short term makes the likelyhood of achieving a large pay off once the mission is completed. Thus, strangers might be enticed to pool money to buy items for the group at large, even if they might not normally do so.

Tarlane:
I added 5 doses of Blue Whinnis Poison (600GP)

(Male Human Urban Druid 5)

Just to verify, exactly how much money am I adding to my pool of gold when all is said and done?

Just a polite 'bump' to see who's about and what's happening with folks. (^_^)

I am ready to enter keep and interract.

*Nods* Indeed! I am ready to see about 'throwing the rope' and getting on with some interactions as well. :)

(Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5)

Willy be ready.

Andoran (Male Human PFS: Inquisitor Level 9 Play by post: Level 5)

as will Hugh

Sooo....four players...but seeming our DM has perhaps wandered away? Hopefully they are still nearby and real Life isn't throwing them too much of a curve-ball.

Much cheers to you and yours.

Andoran (Male Human PFS: Inquisitor Level 9 Play by post: Level 5)

Well, on another subject, i can give two thumbs up for the new "Game of thrones" season on HBO.

Well i'll be checking here from time to time, to see when the ball gets rolling again

DVR'd it...will not get to watch until Tuesday - I heard it was good.

Another bump. So, any one know who our Dm is fairing? Much cheers to every one.

(Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5)

It was good, A Clash of Kings is my favorite book of the series.

Yeah...I watched it...nicely done! Great brothel scene...lol!

(Male Human Urban Druid 5)

DM's been pretty burned out with his work lately, working real late and weekends. Says once things cool down a little, he'll have time to think and actually write out what happens next. Hopefully, we can start back by next week or so, once he's had time to gather himself.

All good. I, for one, hope things are going as well as can be for them.

Andoran (Male Human PFS: Inquisitor Level 9 Play by post: Level 5)

Well that is good to know Nolan, I was beginning to wonder if we had been abandoned
