Crit fails to confirm Turin, but it still does the regular damage.

Miyuki will notice the help from Carter, soothing the boy and helping carter with the digging.

Miyuki's help is mostly symbolic, but she does seem to calm the boy a bit. Her is now free of the mud.

The Mugger begins by biting Sebastian. He inflicts a deep wound doing 18 damage The pain is so sudden that unless Sebastian makes a DC 14 fort save he is left Nauseated for 1 round.

The bite also prompts a grab attempt which leaves him grabbed. He also has to make a fort save DC 14 vs the lizards poison.

The first crocodile also attacks Sebastian but misses.

Etienne is attacked by the other crocodile whose attack is so sudden and savage that he is knocked prone by the blow back he takes 33 damage just a brutal set of crits there.

One of the consorts breaks free of her bonds. As does one of the villagers. So they get a bit closer. the seven lizardfolk throw their javelins.

I'm going to assume Sebastian and Etienne went down and so when one of the lizardfolk fires a perfect javelin it sails over their heads and lands in Turin. He takes 8 damage but also suffers a Tenacious Wound He takes ones point of con damage Which will not heal naturally

another lizardman fumbles his throw, not only missing but spilling all his javelins in the process, leaving without any more unless he spends time to gather them up from the ground.

Vesket the Lizard King roars a mighty challenge, and tears himself free from his bonds. He charges towards you, flourishing his trident, which catches even the dim light and looks frighteningly sharp.

Then a dim glow begins to pulse from hut N7. Suddenly a pale ball of flame, floats into sight from within the hut. In the midst of it a lizardfolk skull floats within the flames. All the lizardsfolk throw their weapons in the air and shout "STISSSHH-AAAAACK!"

The ball floats over to where Carter is standing, holding the young boy. The ball produces no heat. An arc of electricity shoots out if it and strikes Carter for 4 electricity damage which is the very minimum, praise Anubis because he is watching out for you.

Anton shouts, "Retreat, retreat, in Erastil's name retreat if you can!" as he fires his bow at the lizard that had seriously bitten Sebastian, injuring the beast but not dropping it.

The arm bandage, grabs the boy around his waist and ties him in a lashing to Carter's back, as he jumps the rampart, a cloth scorpion giving it to him as its full round action.

That's including the cure moderate from last time, this time, and this round's free action for the fast healing discovery I completely forgot about. O_O

Sebastian struggled through the pain from the bite, while the fire from the poison coursed through his veins. Struggle as he might, he couldn't break the iron grip of the jaws clamped on his leg. Gritting his teeth, he summoned the power of his faith. He lunged toward Etienne, hand glowing with healing power.

"Go friend. Honor my memory. Avenge me." His hand gripped the cavalier's leg, the power flowing into him.

He looked on at the fiery monstrosity that had cast its lightning on Carter. "Stish-Ak! Here! Come face the might of Iomedae!"

Weaving an incanation Miyuki will cast entangle in such a way that the end of the radius is just in front of her friends, entangling all the way for the enemys. Then she moves closer to her friends, ready to support Etienne and Sebastian.

With that Turin moves off the ramparts, javelin still stuck in his shoulder like a flag pole...

Once Turin has descended outside the ramparts of the lizardfolk village he will await his comrades, healing potions in hand...

Etienne, swings his sword down on the grabbing croc, bloodying it with a powerful strike.

Round 12.

There is a deafening roar, suddenly a wyvern jumps up on the edge of the palisade, balancing itself there precariously.

Miyuki casts another entangle to ensnare your foes.

Turing jumps down off the palisade, sheltering in it's shadow.

The lizards attack Sebastian, but his armour is just too high.

Etienne is bitten for a further 6 damage

Despite Miyuki's efforts many of the lizards manage to tear free of their bonds.

Tw o of the lizardfolk charge up to attack our frontline heroes. Etienne is struck for 3 damage Sebastian is struck for 4 damage

The lizard king charges up to Sebastian, flourishing his trident, which gleams with a terrible sharpness, but he manages to miss somehow.

The floting fire unleashes it's lightning against Miyuki. She takes 9 damages

Anton fires his bow, dropping the one remaining Mugger.

The wyvern swoops down and grabs Etienne in it's claws, it fends off any blows made against it, and awkwardly hops away, just managing to make air over the far side of the palisade.

break free: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Sebastian struggles against the crocodile holding him to no avail. At least they'll get away... He strikes out at the nearest croc.

att: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 The pain is too great, and his swing goes wide, but at least his sacrifice won't be in vain.

...but if that one died, and he's NOT grabbed...

Sebastian feels the jaws trapping him go slack, and he knows it's now or never. Iomedae may reward valor, but doesn't suffer fools who die needlessly. He held them long enough anyway...

Leaping to his feet, he holds his shield high to deflect the attacks he knows are coming, and he bolts for the wall.

Trying be as defensive as possible, going Total if possible, and running for the wall! Hopefully there is an easy way up from this side!

One lizardman turns to the other, "That about it?" he asks.

The second one checks his watch, "Yeah, I guess that's close enough," he crushes out a cigarette.

"Back to work everyone!" announces the first lizardman. The other lizardfolk begin draining their coffe cups, stretching and generally retunring to their threatening postures.

We left off with Group B About to act.

Sebastian flails at the Narlmarch mugger holding him in it's toothy grip, but he is unable to strike it.

Carter climbed over the wall and is currently swimming to safety.

Etienne has been picked up in his wyvern's claws, who has somewhat awkwardly flown away. Etienne do you want to try to communicate or direct your wyvern?

Anton - Do you want to jump in?

Etienne wants to be brought down to the other side of the river.

At last report Etienne and his Wyvern did not share a common language. Do you want to try a handle animal check, or some other method to steer him in a certain direction?

The wyvern's wings are fairly ragged still, he just barely keeping aloft above the river, Etienne's boots skimming the water. His maneuverability is not great, but he could probably take you anywhere along the mouth of the river.

Sorry guys, but today I've been called as support in a weekly school trip (as a teacher, not as scholar :-D, their former trip-teacher is sick, they call me to replace him this morning) and so I'm currently unable to review at all the previous combat posts until Friday night or Saturday.
I can post daily in the night (GMT +1) from mine mobile phone but, due to limited connectivity, I'm not completely able to do more than answering to RP interactions.
So if the GM need to speed up the things and end this combat, he can still continue to bot Anton as he previously did in mine absence.

Group A: Miyuki, Turin

Turin reloads.

Miyuki is under attack from the floating fire. Carter, with the boy, and Etienne have seemingly escaped. Turin and Anton are on the wall, providing covering fire. Sebastian is on the ground. What's it going to be Miyuki?

There are 4 lizardfolk.

Three lizard consorts

One blood caiman

One Lizard King and one floating fire left. At this point virtually all of the islet has entangle on it.

Two dragon slayers have retreated, two are on the fence (literally) and two are down in the frying pan.

The lizard king brings his trident down on the prone Sebastian. He hits AC 24 for 17 damage. I'm not sure where Sebastian's AC is at the moment, so let us know where that leaves you. In either case the lizard king crows in victory, signaling to his subjects that this prey is his.

The lizardfolk turn toward Miyuki, upon seeing the floating fire pursuing her they begin to crow, "Stish-Ack" in glee. Their movement restricted there is little they can do, three of the four manage to move somewhat, the fourth remains stuck, but those that do begin moving towards Miyuki.

Of the consorts only one manages to free herself to any degree and moves forward to support the Lizard King, chanting "Ves-ket!"

The caiman rushes up to attack Sebastian, freeing itself of the entangling vines, but does not get a hold of him.

The floating fire, with the glowing lizardfolk skull floating in it's midst, unleashes a bolt of lightning against Miyuki (26 vs touch) doing 10 electricity damage.

Gentlemen of group B!

Sebastian, it's yours now.

It appears Sebastian has fallen in battle, as Vesket lizard king has tridented Sebastian right through his neck and proceeds to twist in a way that separates his head from his shoulders. He then turns to the fleeing adventurers and shouts a ferocious battle cry.

Anton rushes over to where Miyuki is climbing the wall and reaches down to her with his quarterstaff.

Anton's aid allows Miyuki to climb to the top of the palisade unhindered.

Looking around for one moment imprints the view of the slain friend. Then jumping down, she continues her retreat.

Miyuki withdraws form the island.

Anyone sparing a moment to look back before jumping over the palisade might see the floating fire hovering over the body of Sebastian as sharp sparks of light begin to float up from his body towards it.

As I had stated previously the lizardfolk do not possess darkvision and are heavily hindered by the entanglement covering the entirety of their village. This makes them virtually unable to pursue you across the dark waters of the Murque River.

That night the survivors of the Lizardfolk Village raid eventually manage to come together (Anton and Turin may have delivered a few more parting shots, but unless either of you had any specific plan vis your departure you are able to escape safely).

You make a camp on the south bank of the river, careful to hide your fire from the lizardfolk. You hear savage cries and drumming coming form the village as great pyre fires are lit, sending flames high in the sky over the village.

The boy you rescued is intensely grateful for your help.

Positioning herself in front of the young boy Miyuki starts to speak sternly."Young man, who are you? I am pretty sure you had no reason to be in that village. You were lucky that you survived! Where are you parents? Suddenly remembering her manners she continues with much softer voice."Are you hungry? I am sure we have something to eat for you and although some look strange, we will take care that you are safe. Look, that is my little fox, maybe you can feed him after you have eaten. All the answers have time for later." Looking at the others she continues in a pure regal voice."I have not forgotten. I never will. But for the moment we have to regroup." Adressing the stranger she continues."Who are you? And where are your 100 man, so close to our barony"

The boy wipes his nose on his arm, "I'm from Emmermark Lady. My name's Tig Tonnerson." His fair hair, which hangs down over his eyes from dampness, he wears simple overalls.

"I was walking along the shore looking for some new pets when those lizard fella's took hold 'a me. I was mighty scarred, but I always knew someone would come a running for me." He ravenously devours any food you present to him. Feeding him was not high on the lizardfolks' list of priorities. After which he is eagerly distracted by Takara, being something of an animal lover.

it being the dead of night you decide to rest up before moving on. you set watch, but suspect the lizardfolk will not be on the move before dark. The fearsome drumming continues until daybreak.

The day dawns clear and cold, with thick columns of smoke rising from the lizardfolk village. Everything seems quiet. You stare out at Lake Candlemere, at the island at it's center and the barely visible ruins that makr it's haunted center. The north bank of the Murque seems so close, but with the lizardfolk village islet between you it could never be so far away.

You know that by following that bank Lake Candlemere leads to Lake Tuskwater and on the northern shore of which is your beloved Freewater. The morning after losing an friend and ally it has never seemed so far away, the land around around you has never seemed so threatening.

An arrow lands in the soft ground near to you. It has a message attached, which when inspected says: "Watch out. Witch about. From Z"

You look up and see, on the north bank of the river, past the lizardfolk village, some of your allies. Zartana, Jenya, Kyras and Alanya, White Eagle, Raven and her companion Akiros. They are out in the open, making no effort to hide themselves and are in plain view of the lizardfolk village.

Carter, being unable to sleep well last night is up early.
He sees them, and waves his arms at them, motioning towards the lizard village and then making the throat cutting sign, shaking his head, trying to (without saying anything) tell them not to go near the village.

Jenya begins to gesture towards the lizardfolk village with her gun, questioningly.

He urgently makes the throat chopping motion.
He reaches his arm out and pulls inward, instructing them to come over, followed by a finger to his muzzle indicating to do it quietly.

Zartana limbers up her bow and fire another arrow across the river. Attached is a letter which reads.

"Carter, I presume one among you has ink. I have left space on this parchment for you to briefly tell us what is going on that we may assist you properly. Raven."

"I'm sorry, I haven't any ink or ink pen with me at the moment. I can provide you a magic beacon signal of the holy symbol of Erastil, but I doubt it will be interpreted in a correct way."
