It's all good. At night, the extra animal eyes will be invaluable, not really right now.
I don't like the idea of holding people without proof, but keeping someone overnight for safety ain't that bad Jenya reasons. Can we rig up a barricaded room in the castle that has a barred window? If Kundal ain't who we're hunting for he won't change and we will let him go with our apologies, if he is though we'll have caught him with little fuss and keep everyone else safe. Hell he might be a fellow werewolf hunter for alls we know. We could just follow him at night and see what he does.
Mardavig |
Silver Talon Maja says they don't have any cells, they've never had to imprison anyone, but he can definitely prepare a safe room. The castle is sturdily, clearing out and putting a lock on a small storage room should be no difficulty.
He says it will be ready within the hour. "Would you like an escort to where he is staying?" he asks.
Zartana |
"I will keep watch over him over night" she volenteers

Jenya P. |
Shadowing him at night would be more discreet Jenya says a bit torn on what to do about Kundal. In any case we should have all our eyes open tonight. Human or otherwise.
Do we know how many folks are out and about at night? In order to keep the human version of the beast from being spooked we should head out to our posts right before moonrise when he or she will already have made their way to their change spot.
Chief can you talk to the wolves right now and ask them if they've noticed something about a werewolf? They have good scents and I would think they really hate were creatures
Raven of Bonespire |
Raven agrees. "If he is our problem, drawing attention to him could cause the population to seek retribution. We should be discreet."

"Still, it wouldn't 'urt to find out who 'as some wolfbane.
It is 'azardous applying it to de beast if confronted, but it could be of use to us, especially if someone 'as de unfortunate moment of gettin infected demselves.", he looks around the table at the others.
Jenya P. |
If Wolfsbane cures the infection then we should find some for sure. What kind of weapon can hurt these things? Assuming Jenya wouldn't know about silver. If she does then the question is can we find any silver weapons around here.
Zartana |
"I will follow him around. But a helping of WB wont be a bad thing. If i do see him change... i will apply it an arrow and apply it directly to its bloodstream"
She grins

Sadly you have no weapon-smith in town to smith up even basic silver weapon ins a hurry.
Flowering aconite, known as wolfs-bane, is usually native to mountainous areas, so is not normally found in this area. It is, however used in medicine, so healers or little-a-alchemists might have some on hand. Although it must be kept away from livestock it is sometimes grown in gardens for it's blue and/or yellow flowers.
Mardavig |
You guys spent a couple of hours asking questions around town. So it's probably around noon.
Silver Talon Maja's fiance Luce Chinasa brings him lunch and is a bit star struck by all the Founders in her fiancees office.
Moonrise will occur shortly after sunset, so there's probably 9 or so hours to go.
Chief White Eagle |
Chief White Eagle spent the day in the outskirts of the settlement. looking for signs of other wolves.
White Eagle is not knowledgeable on werewolves so he does not know wolvesbane will work. what knowledge area would it be under though?
Anton Medvyed |
The guy with silver bolts is away. :-P
So is the one with Silver weapon bleack arrows.
I don't think Anton will be able to be back in time to provide yousome help. But I'm sure you all will be able to finish such task without him :)Mardavig |
As magical beasts lycanthropes are covered by the Knowledge Nature.
While he is searching outside of town White Eagle comes across a man. He is a tall man in a hide shirt, carrying a greataxe. He appears a bit disheveled and is obviously upset.
When he comes across him he is kneeling by a stream, heatedly berating his reflection in Halit. when he hears White Eagle arrive upon the scene he jumps up, axe in hand, and in thickly accented Common asks, "who goes there? What do you want?"
Raven of Bonespire |
Raven, waiting for news from the others, will spend the day preparing the two bodies for their funeral, depending on the wishes of their families.

White eagle stops. hands raised. Easy I mean no harm, i am a hunter. tracking an animal in these parts. I am White Eagle. Who might you be?
CWE is careful to keep some distance as he does not have any weapons drawn.
Elangomat circles around and lands on a tree branch not to far away.

The plants found would only yield a single dose of Wolfsbane. Whether that's enough is completely unknown. With Wolfsbane the cure and death are often synonymous.
"I am Kundall, of the Kellid tribe of the Stormwaters," still holding his axe he goes on to say, "I have no wish to harm you, go on your way and leave me in peace."

Kundall, It is my job to see to the well being of all the citizens of this community, perhaps I can help you. has you or your people been mistreated in any way?
White eagle continues to keep his hands visible showing no intent to attack. He tries to get a feel for this man, is he trully aggressive or simply frightened.

Maybe five minutes, the only real barrier to getting anywhere in Freewater is if there's a crowd or you have to go aroundthe castle.
Kundall does not seem swayed by White Eagle's words.
He is definitely agitated. He's on edge, unstable, it's pretty clear he's not totally in his right mind. he smells like he's been drinking.
Werewolves are often cursed, especially those that are most strongly affected by the moon. They may not even know exactly what is happening to them. They are haunted by violent bloody dreams and then they wake up in the wilderness covered in blood, unable to know what happened.
"I have no people White Eagle! The Stormwaters will have nothing to do with me, and they are right to. There is nothing you can do for me. Leave now before you are harmed," he says gesturing aggressively with his axe.
Chief White Eagle |
White eagle takes a few steps back. I will go then as you wish, but find me if you want to talk.

unless people have some sort of divinations CWE is the only one that found the suspected werewolf, and until now he has not divulged anything.
When White Eagle reunites with the group Elangomat is not with him.
I tracked the creature as best I could but all I found was a what I believed to be a fellow hunter apparently lost. There was something not right with him, I have Elangomat trailing him and keeping tabs on his actions. He seemed very concerned over something.
looking to the others what have you all discovered?
Jenya P. |
A suspicious Kellid named Kundall is a recent arrival. Keeps to himself. Goes out mysteriously at night and returns the next morning. We figure there's something not right with him and are planning a stakeout for tonight
Raven of Bonespire |
"While all signs point to this Kellid, we should be wary, lest he not be the one we are looking for or,...he is not alone.", Raven says matter of factly.

White eagle pauses a moment.
you said the man you seek is Kundall? of the Kellid tribe of the Stormwaters? That was the man I found in the woods by a stream. He was armed with an axe and seemed very distraught over something. I have Elangomat following him as we speak.
Zartana |
"I will follow him too. Atleast if things go wrong, i can cover my escape. But i will not have a werewolf roam free in our city... especially if he isnt an ally or an asset"

Everybody else should be close to a mount tonight with one of the Eagles posted as lookouts around Freewater. Chief if you could get more animals to act as scouts tonight as well that would be great. First sign of trouble and we converge. Desna protect us but I hope there's only one of these things out there. We start half hour before moonrise to keep from spooking anybody headed out to transform.
Sound ok guys?
Chief White Eagle |
I can speak with some of the animals to keep watch, but I cannot command them. They will behave as necessary for survival. Elengomat is currently following him. I believe though that if he is truly as we suspect, he has no desire to live like that, I saw desperation in his eyes, he does not want to do the things he does.
thinking for a moment, I wonder, is he but a, what you call, a, pawn? perhaps there is a larger threat out there that controls this one.
