WANTED: Small Team To Investigate New Found Island!
Reward: 75,000 gold!
A new Island has been discovered south west of the Continent of Garund! The Pathfinder Society is looking for a small team, 3-6 members, to subcontract out to go investigate this Island and possibly begin colonizing it. Although not working for/with the Pathfinder Society directly; They'll be the ones giving a generous amount of your substantial reward up front to purchase gear and supplies for the trip.
Gornack Silvermane is the Dwarf in charge of this project. He's reserved a ship leaving in 3 days; anyone interested in being apart of Golarions history should report to Gornack at the Kricket Song Inn, near the small dock thats been established on the southern coast of Garund.
Ok; I'm looking for 3-6 players to embark on a journey to a new found Island. This is going to be the first chapter in a long-term campaign and I'm looking for dedicated players who can post about once per day throughout the week, and at least once over the weekend, more is always better! I'll be focusing on RP as much as possible, but don't worry there will be no shortage of dangerous combat to satisfy blood lust :)
A brief background is required, characters will start at 4th level, for creation please use the point buy system with 36 points. Everyone starts with one trait, that makes sense with your background of course; and now for the money; 11,000gp to begin with and a portion of their share of the 75,000gp reward for completing the contract. Details will be given in-game/in-character of course :)
All races and classes are available to use; execpt 3rd party stuffs. I'd rather not use archtypes and other twists of classes; but I do have an open mind and will consider all character designs. If everything goes smoothly I'll be starting by wensday or thursday, assuming recruitment goes fairly quickly.

the synthesist archtype. not what im going for, the summoner is for pre fight buffs and my eidolon would be a mount. It focuses on barbarian. Ill probably go Barbarian 1/Summoner 3 for my first levels, get that mount fly speed asap. Gnome would be my race to start. Ill have stats up here soon
Are there traits in this game? One is actually relly useful for my build

Yes, I'll edit the post above, totally forgot about traits! We'll do 1 trait to start with, and some may be granted depending on Role Play styles and stuff like that.

And @psych; A druid would be awsome as well! I'm excited to see this working out; I have a great adventure planned; and leads to continue on into the next as well... Looking to take you guys to 20th level if everyone sticks around!

Scores start at 10; I'd rather not see any scores below this, I feel I gave enought points to buy good stats and not see anything below 10.

Hit points, Max health for 1st level. After that, roll hp in this thread when stats are figured out; that way you can just add you CON mod into the dice rolls...
@ Azten; I know nothing about a word casting Cleric; I'll consider it, send me a link to all info on it and I'll check it out. But I really don't like using Archtypes, Sub-classes or what-not. But, sure I'll check it out.

Otiven was part of a strange family of Gnomes that ran something of a traveling circus. His father was a magician, who had this strange creature follow him around, assisting him with his shows. Otiven asked one day how his father did it, and he told him he had magical powers, and could summon his assistant and various other creatures. Otiven was obsessed with the concept, so one night, he took his fathers scrolls, and snuck out. He went into the woods, and started reading the scrolls, hoping something would happen. Well, something did happen. He found he had inherited his fathers talent for summoning, as he summoned a powerful tiger looking creature, which was very submissive to his commands. He rode into the night, and found himself in Absalom the next day. He heard of a attempt to explore and island, and thought it would be a great oppertunity to train, hone his newfound magical abilities, and make some money in the process.
I'd like to put together a Gnome Gunslinger 1/Oracle 3(Mystery of Metal).
A tinkerer/engineer/(mostly mundane) crafter who has taken a crash-course in crafting from "scratch" (building the things you need to build the things you need to build things.), and quite determined to stave off the bleaching with this new experience.

Looking good Aroach; put together a profile and your all set. But, you HP, you get Max at first level, and the rest I would like to have rolled in this thread please; other than that everything looks great.
@Azten; I briefly skimmed over the Words of Power, and honestly its very confusing at first. I don't have time right now to read it all, because I must head to work, I'll look at it again tonight, and give my standing on it tmw morning. Although If not, do you still wish to play?

@Jacen: A lvl 6 character is not allowed, characters start at lvl 4, no exceptions; and Gernadier/ warslinger is an Archtype right? I'd rather not have those at all. They create alot of issues, mostly because I'm not familiar with them and I think alot of them are OP.
@Miggen: The oracle/gunslinger... I don't know about guns in this game honestly; but go ahead and type up a CS and I'll consider it at the least :) Maybe a rouge/Oracle or Ranger/Oracle? I'd like to keep the High Fantasy feeling if possible :)
Oops! That was a typo. I meant lvl 4. As for the Grenadier archetype, I can easily drop that and keep the flavor of the warslinger...though flinging flasks of acid with a sling just strikes me as full of character.
The warslinger part is a halfling alternative racial trait. It replaces the sure-footed racial trait.
Warslinger Halflings are experts at the use of the sling. Halflings with this racial trait can reload a sling as a free action. Reloading a sling still requires two hands and provokes attacks of opportunity. This racial trait replaces sure-footed.

Delisar sat down at the bar, Venser trailing at his feet. Sitting down at the bar, a gnome started chatting him up. Ordering a rum, Delisar turned to the small humanoid.
"Yeah, I'm here for the ride." Venser says to him, then adds sarcastically, "A few days of cramped passage, then who knows how long out in the wilderness. Should be fun. Oh well, I can't really complain, the money is just too good, not to mention what information could be found out there."
Grabbing the rum with his tail, Delisar patted his small dinosaur with one hand and held out his other to the gnome.
"The name's Delisar. What's yours?"
I'd like to submit Ekembe for consideration. He's a Ranger 2/Witch 2 angling to take the rest of his levels in witch. I've not purchased his equipment yet, but apart from that and a detailed listing of all his skills, the concept and general ideas behind the character are here.
I'm in the US on the East Coast (GMT -5) and can post regularly throughout the day during the week. Weekend postings aren't generally a problem either.

How do you feel about the Spy Archetype for the Rogue (found here.
The idea would be for a Vanara Rogue from Jalmeray using said Archetype. She'd be a member of the Conservatory pretending to be sent by an interested Keleshite merchant that seeks too invest in a colony on the isle while in fact it's the Conservatory that seeks to invest in order to create a safe haven for it's agents on that side of the continent.
The Conservatory is a largely unexplored secret organisation with their base on the Jalmerani isle of Grand Sarret. They specialise in training courtesans, court officials and diplomats in order to acquire state secrets, which are then stored in their vaults. The goal for my character would be securing a place to go to for Conservatory members that (almost) got caught and need a place to run to without directing any pursuers towards Jalmeray.
I'd like to submit a straight up rogue. Actually, a very strange rogue though.

Not making races, only regular ones. The tiefling needs a good backstory, no evil characters (gravewalker not allowed, sorry man. Just dont fit)
I honestly dont care forthe spy archtype ethier, but it does seem as though it could go along with my story fairly well, complete the cs with background.
The word of power seem very interesting, build the cs man, ill for sure consider it. The most i can take on is 8 players guys, an i have another who emailed me hell be posting tmw. Ill probably do pics on wensday, everyone RP until then like octiven started an that will help with my decisions for sure. ill hrough up discussion thread in morning for further 'before game RP'

Jacen walked into the room, his slingstaff thumping on the floor like a walking stick. The halfling looked across the room, stilling the clinking bottles and vials strapped to various pouched and lanyards as his eyes grew accustomed to the dim light. Seeing the others chatting about the trip, he moved over to join them, standing just far enough outside the conversation to make it clear that he would prefer to be invited in, rather than make himself at home.
"I see that there is lively contention for berths here. Mayhaps not all of us will have to suffer so for the glories of coin and knowledge. The name's Jacen, Jacen Featherfoot. A pleasure it is to meet you."
Rowan makes his way into the bar and shakes the dust of travel off his boots.
Hot one out there today, eh? he remarks to the barkeep as he mops the sweat off his neck with a worn kerchief. Cold water if you have it please. If not, a bowl will do for me. he says with a grin.
The uncommunicative bartender brings a large wooden bowl with a grunt and sets it in front of the rustic man. Ah, excellent! Gozreh quench our thirst! The bowl quickly fills with water, half of which the man drinks, before dipping his head and washing his face and hands.
His ablutions complete, he turns to the others at the bar. Good afternoon, gentlefolk. The name's Rowan. Explorer and conservationist. I take it you're all here to see this island as well? Should be fascinating! And what a lovely specimen you have there! he remarks to the tiefling. Compsognathus unless I miss my guess
"Aye, a drink would be welcome. Ale, I think, as it is too hot for wine." He nods at the others, and at the newcomer before hopping up on the nearest open seat, grumbling about stools made for longshanks. A few coins spin from one of his many pockets, making a rattling sound on the bar's surface as they slowly spun to a halt.

"Aye, Venser's a compsognathus. Raised him since he was an egg" Delisar said to Rowan, taking a sip of his rum, "As for the island, I'm looking at going, I'm a collector of information, and new locales always have new information."
Setting his empty rum glass on the bar, he continued, "Can't say that I won't be missing the city though. Such is life though."
Turning to the barkeep, Delisar ordered a few scraps of meat, feeding them to his compsognathus.

A tall, raggedly dressed yet physically remarkable man passes through the door into the subdued light of the tavern, his shirt barely more than tatters and his feet bare. A fine helmet with massive curved horns jutting from the fore adorns his head, which he removes slowly with practiced ease. He glances down at a crumpled piece of parchment in his hand and then looks around the room before seemingly fixating on a varied group discussing an island.
He gestures to the nearest server, his voice is deep and gravelly but kinder than his outward appearance might have suggested. "This one would like something hot. And perhaps bread. Best still if you have hot bread, ha! It has been a long time since this one has eaten bread. Any cool wine will do as well. My thanks."
He turns to the rest of the folk discussing the island then, "Are any of you then this one called Gornack? Or do we all wait for him together and in good company?"
There is a muffled clanging as the door opens. A pale blue/grey gnome shuffles through the door with a pack on his back which look at least to be three times his own weight. Various tools and weapons hang from the side, and as he turns to shut the door, you see an anvil hanging from the bottom of his backpack.
He looks around and waves casually with a mellow smile. "Helloo. I'm Miggen. Here to see Master Silvermane." He looks around again... not seeing anyone resembling the description. "Maybe a little drink then." He moves to a table and unstraps his backpack, which falls with a heavy thump and clang... then sits.
