Do you understand what's happened so far? I'm basically going to shoehorn you in at the exact moment we left off. That is, you're all going to be standing in front of Dawinia, Keeper of the First Faith, a division of the Pure Legion.
You were sent to the administrative headquarters of the Legion to take an Oath. The reason you are being asked to take this special oath is because you, as foreigners, are being asked to remain in the city following the events on the beach. You can extrapolate that the Keepers want to make sure that you do not incite a panic based on what you've seen.
Before you could take the Oath, however, word of something wrong has come to Dawinia's ears as she was about to administer the oath.
Hehe. You're a paladin. You're probably the best or one of the best martial classes in Pathfinder. When Lilandra rolled an Undead Slayer, we agreed I would go a litttttle harder on her since she metagamed it a little bit.
Its all good fun. What's a paladin without righteous challenges to overcome?
Am I all right in posting what I did with what Khaod was doing during the battle? And hey hey give the barbarian a little love, I do well as a smashy type...*kicks rock* :P

BANNED!
Jk. No no no. Its good. The more you can do to get integrated the better. Its no problem. We'll be on track soon enough. Thanks!

Yup, just look at the first fight, fighting defensively with 1 HP against multiple opponents for 2 rounds.
DM: Dim is not exactly unaware of the religious situation here so he would not be advertising his faith too loudly. He should be able to blend in quite well as a wandering minstrel with a few extra skills.
Not to...sound like Im poking around in other people's profiles but I was looking at Zahur's character sheet? I saw his mount's stats with a 20 str, 17 Dex and 19ish Con and 16 Wisdom. These stats cannot be right in my mind, because in another game I am playing a level 8 Cavalier and my mount does not have those stats or anywhere near them. All you do for mount stats w cavaliers is level the horse as if they were a druid's animal companion and increase stats as they level up.
The base stats for a Horse for a Cavalier's Mount at level 1 are:
16 str, 13 dex, 15 con, 2 Int, 12 Wis, 6 Cha
At level 4 they get:
+2 Str and +2 Con.
This is just me noting something I don't think can be right, not wanting to sound like a rules stickler or that I'm complaining about his character's stats.
What should we do for health, just the average half hi die plus one plus con mod or do you want us to actually roll?
Yea everyone actually rolled. You get max HP at level 1 then roll for level 2. If you get lower than half, take half (6 for you). I don't like characters that die too quickly. :)

Honestly I haven't checked his horse. Thanks for the heads up. It hasn't come up yet. He's out for the time being so it shouldnt be a problem. Also, I'm pretty sure you are right. No offense taken. We're all learning here.

Oh all right :) Rolling now. Do I roll 4 times like Dirk or just once?
1d12
1d12
1d12
1d12
May I PLEASE use the last or second one? ;)
Ok I told Dirk to reroll so you get to do the same thing until you get AT least half. So take that 7. For the future, we'll use the rule I said before. If you roll below half, you just get half without rolling. Make sense?
Makes sense to me :) I'll just keep his HP where it is for now, since 7 is what the average I add to my health is as a barbarian anyways :) I didn't mean to jump ahead if we weren't supposed to, I just posted him going along with the group.
SO may I ask I saw hints of this but what is the Oath about the religeon mean?
Rahadoum is a militantly secular state. It does not tolerate the practice of religion within its borders. Some exceptions are granted of course, but these instances are harshly regulated. The party has already experienced some of this. Lilandra, a Paladin, was required to wear a rough canvas robe over her armor and holy symbols when she entered the Court of the First Law.
Generally, as I've interpreted it, visitors to Rahadoum have three procedural options that allow them to stay:
Take an Oath not to practice religion in Rahadoum
Take a special Mark that identifies one as a religious outcast and a member of an inferior class. (This is not a pleasant experience...it is usually involuntary).
In the short term, religious envoys and other special guests are permitted to retain a secular escort that limits their activities.
Of course these are strange times and the usual rules may be challenged...
Lol masterwork breastplate pretty sure it would have the symbol of Ragathiel on it hehehe but of course he would abide by the laws of the city but then since he hasnt been asked about it yet ;) lol plus with his birthmark (silver hair) he can use it instead of the symbol as the gnome pointed out lol but yeah im all set to get this ball rollin lol
Hit Point Roll for 2nd Level(+Con+FavClass): 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 = 8
How do they define practicing religion? Is the use of clerical powers considered practicing or is it only the promotion and exultation of a god? Desna does not strike me as the type of god that requires a worshiper to walk about proclaiming her name and trying to convert everyone. Willful restriction of personal freedoms kind of goes against Desna's teaching so I am really not sure if Dim would take the Mark anyway. Let me know how you would interpret this.

How about this, why don't you roll me a knowledge religion check? I'm going to say that your character was taken a little off guard by the level of paranoia here in Azur. Based on the check I'll give you some information.
Rahadoum's treatment of religion is not meant for me to bar religious players. It just adds an interesting environmental/diplomatic challenge to the players :) . Since you all are new visitors, you are not in any immediate danger of being accused of fomenting a cult or erecting idols, for example
Haha no worries Dim. I'm giving you a +4 because this check is about YOUR religion. What you know is this: While Rahadoum is militantly secular, only the most zealous members of the society will prosecute a follower of Desna, even if the law prohibits the practice of your religion. Your love of freedom and independence strikes a chord with the Men of Rahadoum, even if your independence and power is derived from a god.
It's funny but it's the ideal group of religious characters for a secular setting. Lilandra is one of the rare Pladins of the Goddess of live and beauty, seeing undeath as the vilest, state of being in direct affront to the beauty to be found in living things.
She dresses and moves like a warrior, but at first glance or in different clothes, the last thing one thinks of looking at her is combat.
Followed by the Paladin of Ragathiel and then a cleric of your same of Desna haha ya should be fun and then theres the tall elf woman figther and then theres.....the barbarian RAWR lol
Relgion? What is that? Hahahaha yeah pretty much. I seem the odd ball of the group (even without being a half-orc :P)
Lolz its kind of funny Lilandra, because Khaod sees you, as in text, as the Lady Knight. :P Both as a pretty human woman and as a knight.
Magnus is just a knight to him, albeit he is VERY shiny ^^P. Sunny and Dim just make him smile.
Lolz but yes, as Magnus says. We have two holy servants of Desna, a knight of ragathiel, a peppy elven fighter with the heart and smile of gold...and then the big ugly half-orc. XD
Does anyone have a preference for how we'll conduct initiative? I used an open google doc that worked pretty well last time. Anyone know of a better, flexible system? Otherwise I'm happy with a google spreadsheet.
I have found the easiest way to get through is to have the DM init and the player init. The DM goes all at once and the players go all at once. It reduces the amount of time spent waiting for someone to post an action in order. Basically the DM rolls for his init for his creatues and the players roll for theirs, whichever side has the highest init goes first. Not perfect but it works decently for PbP.

But what about positioning? I was more concerned about mapping.
