That guy did not die easily. But hey, I've got a cool new sword now that I hardly know how to use.

I forgot to move Cormaeg's token, but it should be over with Wikvaya and Jermaie

Dodge; Ag:40+10=50: 1d100 ⇒ 86

Great balls of justice! Welp, that puts me at -6 wounds. Who'd have thought that a 1 in 2 chance to dodge actually means a 1 in 100 chance to dodge.

Edit: Never mind, forgot to subract armor and toughness. 12 wounds - (5+3) = 4 wounds which brings me down to 2.

Jermaie breaths out a sigh of relief as the general's corpse slumps to the floor. He stands triumphant, ready to give out a cry of relief when he is struck from behind by a las-shot.

Jermaie, overcome by agony retreats towards the nearest cover and lays there, panting and heaving in pain. I'm guessing the nearest cover is the side passage we were fighting next to.

Jermaie looks at at Wikivaya.

"Don't suppose anybody's got an extra gun on 'em? Wouldn't do me right to die defenseless now would it?" He chuckles. "At least the bastard Scarus's now day."

"Now...what?"

Cormaeg continues to try and make it out of the line of sight as best as he is able.

Male

You are currently prone and in cover. I'm going to take Carno back from Jermaie and give him to you so you can move at a reasonable pace. Are you just following Jermaie into the tunnel?

Male Brawler WS 47, BS 34, S 41, T 52, Ag 32, Int 30, Per 26, WP 38, Fel 39, Wounds 16/16, FP 2/4

For now yes, new focus should be to get as close to the escape route as possible before the stims wear off.

Male

Carno helps Cormaeg up and they start down the tunnel

Male Medic [Damage/Wounds 1/13 | Fate 1/1 | Insanity 1 | Initiative +3]

You can have my gun, Jermaie. I don't think I treated Jermaie yet, so I can possibly perform some first aid. I've only healed Garion and Cormaeg from what I recall.

Wikvaya follows Jermaie into cover, already preparing to treat Jermaie's new wounds. "Now we try to stay alive," Wikvaya says. "And let us hope the others have a plan or that this tunnel leads to safety."

Male

We can just say that you performed your medicaie test before Jermaie heads down the tunnel, but that will leave Wikvaya exposed on his own.

Also has Wikvaya looked at his own wounds?

Male Medic [Damage/Wounds 1/13 | Fate 1/1 | Insanity 1 | Initiative +3]

Ah, I treated Cormaeg and Eirik, not Garion. Also, don't forget we have a key to a vehicle. I've only suffered 1 Damage from a grenade blast (It was 8 damage soaked by 4 armor and 3 TB) so I don't deem it serious enough to treat.

No im not will stay beside Jermaie though.

Male

You're in 2 seporate tunnells.[/b]

The Mordians start questioning if Eirik has a lamp pack as he leads them down a tunnel that seems to darken by the footstep.

Lasfire, and heavy stubber rounds shoot past as the Heghlanders pile into the tunnel. The splinter fire lessens as the Orc roars in brutal rage. You can hear the hissed alien speach clearly being spoken in a tone that you are sure must be curses

Jermaie, Wikvaya and Cormeg:
Jermaie leeds the group down the tunnel, which turns slowly to the left. They come to a Y junction. To the left the rock seem to go from a natural look to a more smooth nature. To the right the path seems to desend into the mountain and its formation looks natural.

It's at this stage that Cormaeg lapses back into unconciousness.
[ooc]Cormaeg can take over carno again

What's that? Three degrees of success? How does four degrees of failure sound?

As they move along the cave, Jermaie speaks to Wikvaya. "Wik, make sure to cover our asses. Don't need any kind of nasty surprise."

As Jermaie reaches the intersection, he speaks to the entire group. "Right, this might be a problem. Way I figure it, left'll lead back into the complex whereas right'll lead ta' hell as far as I know. Come ta' think of it, both sound like hell right about now. What do you all think?"

Jermaie, turning his head back to look at the rest of the group, rests his eyes on Cormaeg. He looks concernedly at Carno. "He alright?

Liberty's Edge

Eirik is forced to keep pressing forward due to knowing getting killed won't help his men. His goal now is to figure out how to get something useful and swing back from another direction.

Male

@Jermaie, Wikvaya & Cormaeg - Left or right?

Male Weapon Specialist; Wounds: 1/12

Jeramie looks around at his silent comrades. "The way I see it, we go right, we risked gettin' boxed in and die horribly. We go right, we get back into the compound, get shot at a whole bunch while we try and get to the General's vehicle and will most likely die horribly. But Erik and Cort, they've gone deeper into the cave, and I say if that where they'll be, that's where we gotta go. I say right."

Male Medic [Damage/Wounds 1/13 | Fate 1/1 | Insanity 1 | Initiative +3]

I'm fine with Jermaie deciding. Apologies for the delay.

"Either way is fine. Whichever you choose, I need some time to treat everyone's wounds," Wikvaya reminds Jermaie. He looks around briefly.

Inactive? I thought there was usually a kind of lull on the weekends.

Bookstore Proprietor Librarian Bard

it was weird my thread disappeared.

Male

*Shrugs* wasn't my doing

@Wikvaya - If you want to heal Jermaie you can try while he's making his decision at the junction

Wikvaya:
This is when you are making a decision at the first junction:
You seem certain that the tunnel to the left would lead up into the complex somewhere. You can see in the distance what looks like Imperial wiring. Also behind you you can hear the Dominate soldiers preparing to follow you into the caves

Jermaie, Wikvaya and Carno:

Taking the right hand turn the tunnel twists and turns in an uneven fashion, dropping down and coming back up at times. Wikvaya has to help Carno carry the unconscious Cormaeg. The ground beneath your feet becomes obviously wetter, and there is a small tunnel that breaks to the left small enough for a man to crawl through. There is a small stream of water running down along the wall.

As you are examining the hole you. Soon you hear a noise like a lot of feet stumbling about.

Awareness or Perception again please

Eirik and Cort:
Moving into the caves is slow work as many of the Mordians are gravely injured. Soon the sounds of fighting behind you dies down. You can only hope that the ork has won...

Perception or awareness please

Male Brawler WS 47, BS 34, S 41, T 52, Ag 32, Int 30, Per 26, WP 38, Fel 39, Wounds 16/16, FP 2/4

awareness(31): 1d100 ⇒ 90

Male Medic [Damage/Wounds 1/13 | Fate 1/1 | Insanity 1 | Initiative +3]

Yes, I'd like to heal Jermaie then.

While they decide, Wikvaya patches up Jermaie's wounds, treating the most serious of injuries. He tells him to decide soon as he can hear Dominate soldiers preparing to follow them from behind.

Medicae (First Aid, Jermaie) {100 = 60 int + 10 medicae + 10 master chirurgeon + 30 improved medikit - 10 heavily damaged}: 1d100 ⇒ 57

Five degrees of success. Jermaie heals 11 damage = 6 (int bonus) + 5 (degrees of success). That should put him back to full.

At the hole, Wikvaya stills and focuses on the sound.

Awareness {48 = Perc 48}: 1d100 ⇒ 1

Oh, wow. A perfect 1. It's so beautiful.

Bookstore Proprietor Librarian Bard

1d100 ⇒ 78 noooope

Male

Wikvaya:
There is defiantly a small group of soldiers following you, assumingly Severan Dominate.
Before you is where the sound of disorganised footsteps is. Whoever is up there doesn't seem to be aware of you.
Through the small tunnel in which stream is flowing there is the sound of greater rushing water.

Male Medic [Damage/Wounds 1/13 | Fate 1/1 | Insanity 1 | Initiative +3]

Wikvaya whispers to the others, "Definitely a group of soldiers following us. Ahead of us is where the footsteps come from--I do not know who they are but they do not seem to be aware of us. I can also hear, through the small tunnel where the stream flows, the sound of greater rushing water."

Did we spot a river or something in this place? I can't recall seeing one, so it might be simply underground.

Bookstore Proprietor Librarian Bard

so what is the plan?

Male

You would know that there are nearly always rivers running down from the tops of mountains. Sometimes they run underground. You did not notice one up until this point

Liberty's Edge

Male Male human Operator/Medic Wounds 11 Fate 1

1d100 ⇒ 30 target 37 so one degree of success

Male

Eirik:
When you look behind you see strange shapes where they weren't before. They look like 3 irregular spheres on top of cones jutting from the ground. They are static and unmoving

Male Weapon Specialist; Wounds: 1/12

"With these blokes following behind us, there's no time to try and go squirming around in holes. We should go forward, quietly, see what we're up against. If we can, if they're hostile, we take them by surprise. 'jus don't fire unless we know for sure. Might be Cort and Eirik and the others."

If the others agree, Jermaie will switch off the lamp-pack and edge forward carefully, going slowly so as to not stumble.

If that's alright with everyone else, I'd say we go stealthing in there. I'll roll sneak in the case that's what we want to do.
