Yandu takes several bites before he answers - a smile on his face
"This is deliciously strange and awful. Thanks for the recommodation - I would have missed something interesting in not trying it.
Please let me know when you have more great advice like that. At least something I don't mind only have tried once."
It seems Yandu is fighting to eat the whole plate as it clearly isn't his taste - but a smile never leaves his face - so you wonder - in some respect he seems to love it to have tried.
"But shouldn't we be resting to be on our way early tomorrow. I would like to be fit to ensure I'm not missing the slightest exitement that we might encounter in the manor."

Erin orders something a little more mundane off the menu, and then responds to Yandu.
"Well, you have to live a little between missions. Honestly, the thought of dealing with ghosts, or spirits, or whatever it is up there is not very enticing. The later I am up today, the longer it will feel before I have to deal with those things tomorrow."

Erin looks over towards Tanrov.
"True. I know we can count on Ark for those sort of things. I am just much better equipped to handle the mundane over the supernatural. Ghosts do not bother you?"
"We're pathfinders. We leave the whole notion of mundane at the door. Gotta be ready for anything." Ashur says before slurping a straggling piece of food.
Looks at the bowl of food that was brought to her. Although she has never tried Tian food, she was taken aback at it's complexities and it's unique textures. She takes a little bit of salt and says a small prayer to Sarenrae and then begins to eat the food. It's quite delicious and satisfies her palate. I will definately have to tell my sisters and brothers about Tian food's uniqueness.
GM:
Just in case, I casted Purify Food and Drink on the food presented before me.

Erin slyly looks back to Ashur with a smirk.
"If I would have left the mundane at the door when I joined the society we would have had to scrape you off an angelic statue a couple weeks back."
"Uh, well the problem there is they didn't leave the mundane at the door." This is where Ashur would turn a little red, if he wasn't already. "Stupid aasimar temples, always trying to kill me..." He mutters under his breath.

"Therein lies the problem. We are Pathfinders and should be ready for anything, but we always are on the enemies turf, playing by their rules. The fact that I know significantly less about what we will be facing this time than I have other times is what bothers me."
Erin states, then stares off into a far corner of the room deep in thought.
"Welcome to adventuring. Sometimes its on your terms, but mostly it's on theirs. If you have such a problem with not knowing something, find out about it."
The morning mist still hangs in the air as you set off early. The townsfolk who are up at this hour whisper together at your passing, and make signs to ward of evil spirits. Apparently, rumors of why you are here have spread rapidly. You follow the verbal directions Gansukh gave you, for he absolutely refused to come along, “not even for all the tea in Tian Xia.”
As you approach, you can see the top of the mansion peaking out from overgrown trees. Meandering stone steps, overgrown with vegetation in places, climb the slope of a hill underneath the sheltering trees. On the final landing before the mansion itself is a freestanding moon gate - a circular stone gate that opens between the trees. The surface of the landing itself is stone and decorated with a sundial fashioned from colored tiles. The sundial’s blade rises two feet from the landing like a shark fin pointed toward the moon gate. Beyond the gate, a final set of stairs ascend to the house.
As you approach the Sundial, you hear cries of “Hurry, hurry, don’t be late,” and a child crying. It sounds close, and yet far away at the same time. In any case, the voices make your skin crawl.
Ark, Charlotte:
You may quickly perform one standard or move action if you so choose.

"Thanks, we will go by the same rules if we find any loot."
Erin states flatly over her shoulder as she takes the lead, and throws a wink to Charlotte.
She then approaches the moon dial pointing at the gate.
"This likely has some sort of important significance to the manor. Seems too prominent to be decoration."
She checks the dial and stairs up to the door for any dangers and motions for the rest of the group to hang back by the dial.
Oh and I don't know if you missed it from last mod, but I have the favored terrain class feature, so my init is 3 higher and my perception is 2 higher here. Don't think it would make a difference, but FYI.
"Eh, fair enough." Ashur answers to Erin.
"Did anyone else hear that?" He asks before he is interrupted by something.
Charlotte winks at Erin in response and then hears the cries of the the child. She immediately unsheathes her Scimitar and pulls out her Holy Symbol. Looking around and seeing no children, she immediately deduces that there is something that is very foul amiss in this area.
Who is there? She asks I command you to show yourself, we mean you no harm, little one.
GM:
Perception to see if there is anyone there 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Six ghostly figures appear before you on the landing. Apparitions of a woman and two small children huddle together, flanked by spectral armored figures with drawn blades. A robed and hooded woman stands apart from the others pointing down the stairs. The children sob as their mother pleads at you to hurry. The hooded figure calls out sharply, You’re too late! It is sundown. Their lives are forfeit! Despair, futility, and the feeling of being tricked wash over you as the spectral soldiers raise their blades and fall upon the family.
As the image of slain children fades, you catch the breath you didn’t realize you were holding. Your body becomes tired, as if you had just worked a full day of hard labor.
You all are now Fatigued.

"Anya - please come to me. I feel lonely."
Yandu starts a ritual to get Anya with him to ensure he doesn't feel alone.
GM:
Unless you decide I would have done so already before. I didn't try to avoid her being fatigued - but there wasn't much real time to post between leaving and being haunted.

GM:
Well - I had said that in the village Anya was dismissed - to ensure there are no repercussions while doing deplomacy.
I didn't wanted to assume I would have summoned her on the way up the mountain while I didn't post.
So being taken by suprise (in person probably as much as in character) that I hadn't her back I try to rectify this now as quickly as possible.

Yandu gives Anya a long hug when she appears.
"I was missing you. I feel safer now that you are here to help me."
Anya will give Yandu +2 AC/Saves while in reach - shield ally.
Unfortunately I seem to be the wrong time zone as it seems action is just about to start at a frentic pace. Will be back tomorrow.
Yes, they were Wisdom checks. Charlotte, you don’t see or hear anything else. Erin, no Traps.
Yandu:
When Anya returns she tells you what she saw. The mansion is built from wood, with a second story that is smaller than the first. A wood porch encircles most of the building, except for a Patio out back. Around the left are two gardens, one inside, protected by the roof, and one outside. The morning mist still hangs in the outside garden to the east. This place gives her the creeps and she would rather leave.
"I'm inclined to agree with the sentiment. I'm feeling a little worse for wear myself. But if we go in without you, you'll be out here all by yourself. With possibly angry spirits. I think you'd be safer sticking with us."
