As you walk through the putrescent bilges, you eventually walk into an area that appears to show signs of habitation. Pressing forward slowly, eventually what lives there materializes from the obscuring gassy fog. A daemon watches you cautiously as you approach it, but does not attack. Its green body is bloated and oozes with substances better left unmentioned. Horns rise from its head, and it carries a rusted, pock-marked blade in one hand. In a burbling voice it asks what what brought you to its lair.
The Deceiver |
"Greetings, daemon. We bring glad tidings from the warp and the gods that dwell there."
The Deceiver proudly displays the eight pointed star.
"Like my companions have said, we are looking for keys. Perhaps, you have seen them. But do not think us ungenerous for we are ready to make a deal. Under such terms that are equitable, of course."
Forbidden Lore (Daemonology) and/or Warp, whichever is more appropriate to get an advantage over the daemon 1d100 ⇒ 62
Deceive to convince the daemon that our little group is a force to be reckoned with 1d100 ⇒ 33
Adoris Kalmath |
Adoris does not entirely shrink from the daemon, but he realizes his social value might be considered less since he had bartered with the greater daemon that already tried to claim his soul. He stands behind one of the more physically dominant of his companions.
"We are not morsels, daemon. We are strong enough to face the hardships before us."
