Human* Slayer/Magus 3

Well, since I've been in Osirion for a while now, I guess I'll add modern Osiriani. Thanks for that.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Leto´s background is Garundi too, even though he hasn´t been there often, so i would choose Osiriani too.

The player of Leto may be out of touch for a bit. The character will be quiet and follow the group. I'll make any rolls during combats that come up. Hopefully they'll return to us shortly, but if you start wondering about their silence, this is why.

Human* Slayer/Magus 3

Hey Everyone,
I'm going to be out of town July 19th-24th... I'll have my phone (which is what I usually post from anyways) but I'm honestly not sure how much signal I'll get where I'm going to be... Please feel free to bot me if necessary during that time.

Also, I'm going to be in Ireland July 25th-August 1st... I'm guessing there will be wifi in the hotels that I can use but if I go incommunicado during that window please feel free to bot me as needed.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

I'm watching and hope to be home next week.
Until then might try to post from phone but it's a bit difficult.
Looking forward to join in more here.

No worries. Hope you're feeling better soon! And feel free to hop in at any time when you're ready.

Human* Slayer/Magus 3

Just a reminder- tomorrow is the day I leave for vacation... I'll be in the woods camping for a week, and then in Ireland for a week. I'll do my best to post regularly but can't make any promises (since I have no idea what my access to the Internet will be like). Please bot me as necessary.

Not a problem. Have fun!

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

If put into the short description, all those links will show up on the campaigns tab and above gameplay too, and be even easier to access^^

And i´m back.
Thanks for your patience!

Yes, but then they clutter up my campaign tab. :)

Human* Slayer/Magus 3

Internet is spotty at best here... Please don't feel like you need to wait for me to post. Out of combat assume I'm following along quietly (unless there's an opportunity for diplomacy). In combat I'll try hard to keep up but if I fall behind feel free to bot me (default will be try to 5' step to flank and make a standard attack).

No problem. I actually had forgotten you were away till I got to work. I'll have a post up about the next room this afternoon when I get home.

Again, just to note, if there's ever anything in a room that you want to know more about just ask. I'll assume you're searching for traps thoroughly and give any obvious rolls in the main post for each room, but beyond that it's all up to you guys.

Male Human (Garundi) Cleric 5 | 38/38 | Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +9 (+1 vs. Divine) | AC 18, T 10, FF 18, CMD 16 | Perc. +8 | Init +0

Just a quick heads up. I'll be heading to GenCon for the next week so my posts will be a bit sporadic probably until next Tuesday (August 4). Feel free to control me as needed.

Human* Slayer/Magus 3

Greetings from Dromoland Ireland!

I have decent wifi at this hotel so I thought I'd make a couple quick posts. Thanks everyone for being understanding about my current low post rate.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Surprised there is wifi at all in those old walls^^

I feel like you guys haven't rolled higher than a 10 on any important roll yet. Random knowledge checks, 20! Attack, save, etc., 3!

Half the party failing a DC 10 Fort check was...unexpected.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Well rolls are random and the dice roller here can even be a bit more "random" at times.

Male Human (Garundi) Cleric 5 | 38/38 | Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +9 (+1 vs. Divine) | AC 18, T 10, FF 18, CMD 16 | Perc. +8 | Init +0

I'm going to be incredibly amused if I fail every survival check in the whole game.

Also, I'm on a plane!

Female | HP: 14/23 | AC:13 / FF: 10 / Touch: 13 | Fort:+ 1 / Reflex: +4 / Will: +6 | Init: +6 / Per: +12 Elf Wizard / 5

Are there snakes?

Human* Slayer/Magus 3

New hotel is basically a castle- looks awesome but internet is rubbish. Please bot me as needed for next 2-3 days.

Just as a note: A party of four PCs wouldn't be able to handle this. I noted before that I adjusted the encounters to suit the size and character creation guidelines. This encounter is actually *slightly* scaled back from my original plan for it (which turned out to be a good idea), but you're handling it well given the hole you started in. Them winning stealth against everyone's perception, then also winning initiative was rough. But altogether the group's resources have yet to be strained, even with one downed character.

With that said, this encounter is rough. They have high damage output and got the drop on the group. The upside is that there's no rush, so should you need to, resting is relatively easy.

Male Human (Garundi) Cleric 5 | 38/38 | Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +9 (+1 vs. Divine) | AC 18, T 10, FF 18, CMD 16 | Perc. +8 | Init +0

Yup, it's cool. Encounter design can be tricky, especially when you're still feeling out the party's capabilities. In addition, level 1 can be especially swingy due to relatively low hit points. Besides, challenging combats are more interesting and memorable anyways.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Normaly i always buy a potion of cure light wounds at level 1, but this time the longbow was just too expensive. Will be one of the next things i buy just for emergencies.

Male Human (Garundi) Cleric 5 | 38/38 | Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +9 (+1 vs. Divine) | AC 18, T 10, FF 18, CMD 16 | Perc. +8 | Init +0

Another nice low level option is smelling salts. It can wake someone up from unconscious, though he's still staggered, and takes 1 damage after taking a standard action. You can wake up a healer to allow them to heal themselves.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

That´s really a good option Nevai!

@GM: I didn´t start the fight with the shortbow, so i felt it would be unfair to just switch. Flagbearer was already figured in on the Longbow though, making it +5 1d8+2 instead of +4 1d8+1.

Ah, fair enough. I was a little confused there. My apologies, I just wasn't paying enough attention.

So far I've noted when flanking, movement, and cover were applicable. In this case Setesh was able to apply sneak attack damage because the creature was flat-footed as it had not acted yet. (They both rolled 15 for initiative, but Setesh's initiative bonus is higher.)

Male Half-Elf Alchemist (Beastmorph/Vivisectionist) 4 (HP 31/31) (AC 21/11/20) (CMD 18) (Fort +6, Ref +5, Will +2) (Init +3) (Perception +13)

Yes, I included sneak attack because I saw that I was going before the beast in Round 1.

As a reminder, please write the round and your initiative on a post with your action. Keeps it easier for everyone to figure out when people are acting. (Especially me.)

Just waiting on whether or not that trap is actually being disarmed.

I'd like to move on soon. If there's any plan to do something other than disarm the trap, please speak up. Anything is fair game at this point, but we've held up the game for about a week now and I'd like to keep rolling.

Though if you'd like to continue with the conversation, feel free, just try to be a bit more active.

Male Human (Garundi) Cleric 5 | 38/38 | Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +9 (+1 vs. Divine) | AC 18, T 10, FF 18, CMD 16 | Perc. +8 | Init +0

Still here, just waiting for the game to move along. Still bracing the door open in case of sudden door shutting again.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Somebody can heal me? That would be awesome. With 1hp Leto is not worth much, even in the background.

Male Human (Garundi) Cleric 5 | 38/38 | Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +9 (+1 vs. Divine) | AC 18, T 10, FF 18, CMD 16 | Perc. +8 | Init +0

I'm 100% out of healing until we rest.

Female | HP: 14/23 | AC:13 / FF: 10 / Touch: 13 | Fort:+ 1 / Reflex: +4 / Will: +6 | Init: +6 / Per: +12 Elf Wizard / 5

Perhaps now would be a good time to rest then.

Human* Slayer/Magus 3

Sooo... I just discovered a major plumbing issue where I live... My posting rate is going to drop quite a bit for the next couple days. Please feel free to bot me as necessary.

No worries. Hope everything works out well!

It's a holiday weekend and Micah mentioned he'll be having some troubles with posting, so I'm not *too* worried about the slow down. I'll post actions in a little bit to keep us moving.

Human* Slayer/Magus 3

hey all- plumbing problems revealed some major structural issues in the house... its been a disaster, but we're making great progress... hope to be back by midweek. thanks for botting me.

No problem. Hope things get better for you quick!

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Sorry for uncalled absence and thanks for botting.
Way too busy and additionaly down with a cold.

Leto already acted in round 2 and it´s still round 2 right?

You can make your round 3 actions now.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Cool thanks a lot!

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Question for the GM: Do you want me to count arrows?

I suggest i pay a "fee" for them and would pay for 100 right now.

On level up i get:
-rapid shot
-way of the bow: weapon focus longbow

Given it's a pbp, it makes it much easier to do so than normal. While I'm not a huge fan of the equipment rules in DnD and the spreadsheet nature of tracking it, it is a part of the game. And sort of an inbuilt limit on ranged characters. I'm certainly fine with a flat 50% of all missed ammunition being retrievable and not bothering to roll.

Also, I welcome any other means to stretch ammunition. (Such as using spells, skills, etc.)

Male Half-Elf Alchemist (Beastmorph/Vivisectionist) 4 (HP 31/31) (AC 21/11/20) (CMD 18) (Fort +6, Ref +5, Will +2) (Init +3) (Perception +13)

Well, there *is* durable ammunition (present in the Alchemy Manual, and Elves of Golarion), which is reusable - arrows just end up costing 1gp each.

Seelah HP 19/19 | AC 18 (20 with shield raised) | F 6 R 4 W 6 | Longsword +7 1d8+4 | Athletics +7 | Diplomacy +5 | Intimidation +5 | Lore +3 | Medicine +4 | Religion +4 | Survival +4 | Thievery +2

Durable arrows can be destroyed too or not retrieved often, what then needs to be marked extra.
Guess it´s easier to just count attacks and not bother with arrow gathering. It´s not like they would be expensive.
Now have 140 arrows, 40 of the blunt ones.

It´s funny you say that GM Listener. I actually think it´s easier to track at the table, where you can just make a mark with a pencil for each shot. Here you always need to save the page of in HL.
But it´s ok, i´ll track them in HL.

My idea was just buying so many on a regular base that i have no danger of running out, since i can carry them all.
