Gared and Horven have my favorite relationship out of any D&D characters I've ever played, and that includes characters built to work as a team.

I really like it as well. It's a little hard for me to define it though, because it's a strong friendship but Horven also sees Gared as a counselor, even though Horven does the same for Gared on occassion.

It's been built out of rather intense experiences. Gared wouldn't have taken the kind of role he has if he hadn't felt it was duty to step into some position of leadership (of at least a moral variety) in order to potentially save lives. Earning Horven's friendship and companionship in the process has very much changed the dwarf.

I can help with detect magic if it's needed, but I won't be able to prepare it until the following morning AND spellcraft is not Carridan's strong suit at all (+5 bonus).

As far as loot is concerned, having just joined the group I feel like I'm pretty well set equipment-wise, since I essentially just got to cherry pick my items and whatnot before heading down into that sewer. I think the rest of you should have a much stronger say in what's done with what was recovered.

That is a good point Gared. The web is not that strong but Horven has been rolling poor damage. He should have had more attacks here.

The first thing Yamyra will be doing after the debriefing is handing all her notes over to Andel. The second thing she will be doing is requesting all the texts the Venture-Captain has been researching lately. She wants to try & determine ahead of time what the next shard will be & what effect it's curse will have, if she can figure out what kind of stone it will take, even better.

OK some bookkeeping notes here:

  • First of all, Horven, Carmina and Yamyra have all leveled up! Horven , if you wish to retrain your skills, you may do so at this time.

  • Due to the notes taken by Yamyra and Co., The Pathfinder Society has provided a reward of 2,500 gp total (breaks out to 500 gp each) plus one Wayfinder (standard) for each of you. PS: do not forget about the Loot list. You still have a bunch of stuff there as well.

  • Also, as members of the PFS you all gain a total of 9 Prestige points and 9 Fame points. For those who are not familiar with that mechanic, it basically means you are considered valued members of the Society and can draw on their resources if necessary. Each PP is worth 375 GP of gear, should you wish to cash them in.

    OK, go ahead and level up, sell, and retrain. Once you have finished doing that. We will pick up starting Book 2, he he.

    Opinions, everyone. Fancy gets an increase to her Strength, Dexterity, and Armor this level. She also gets the '4th level' ability increase.
    I haven't taken the Armor evolution for her yet, so I could do that. I could also increase the damage die on her Slam attack or make her attacks magic. All of those are 1 point evolutions. Which do you guys see as most beneficial for the team?

    I was going to go from Rogue to Bard, if that's possible. However, that would take about 20 days in-game time, plus feats according to the Ultimate Campaign rules.
