Assuming Horven's post earlier is correct & we each have 2264 gold and 14 silver more, Yamyra will toddle down to the Cynosure Tower to purchase a Wand of Cure Light Wounds & ask High Priestess Zimantiu to hold the remainder in trust until she returns; with the understanding that if Yamyra doesn't return in a reasonable amount of time, the remainder is among other things, to take care of her parents once they are too old to provide for themselves, with what is left over to be used for the good of the community.

Damn, that was a run-on sentance & a half...

edit: Assume Yamyra is back & ready to return as soon as everyone else is ready to do so, I still haven't finished updating the Journal to our present point yet, so that is my chief RP focus at the moment. Yamyra/Fancy will be present for the purposes of skill/combat rolls & spells, but both will be obviously introverted for a bit.

second edit: Unless I am wrong, a Wand of Cure Light Wounds will be 750 gold, leaving 1514 gold & 14 silver.

While I can use the spear competently, the net is an exotic weapon. So I may not be far off about throwing it on Gared every so often.

The nice thing about nets is that they target touch ac, which usually helps mitigate the penalty for a reusable non-magical close range entanglement effect.

Also, If we do have an extra wand laying around, Gared would be happy to keep it on his person.

Stupid question time. Is it possible to charge on a diagonal?

Sure you may charge on a diagonal. You just pay 5 feet of movement for the first diagonal, then 10 feet for the second diagonal square, for a total of 15 feet of movement for 2 squares of diagonal movement.

I thought the staircase was going down? How is it providing cover? Or is the derro just trying to get to the staircase to get away from us?

The staircase has a low wall surrounding it, but it is only a couple of feet high or so, which is considered a Low Obstacle (providing Partial cover).

From the PRD:

Low Obstacles and Cover: A low obstacle (such as a wall no higher than half your height) provides cover, but only to creatures within 30 feet (6 squares) of it. The attacker can ignore the cover if he's closer to the obstacle than his target...Think of it as an act of desperation looking for any edge he can get. He could make it to the staircase opening next round however.
