"I think," Doran begins, "'is ain't the time t' be worryin' about who they is," the man pauses as he looks to the door, a cautious hand making sure the hilt of his weapon is still there, "but ratha' how we're gonna handle 'is situation..."

Though still grinning, there's a terribly nervous look in the silver-haired man's eyes.

The boy looks up at the half-orc.

"You do not know of the dottari, Westcrown's prize town guards?"


"Dammit!!! Morosino this is no time for chit-chat"

She looks down at the boy with a look of anger

"I am sorry everybody, but this is not how I intended our meeting to turn out, but we must leave immediately."

Janiven looks over in Doran's direction, and points to the pile of debris.

"Under all that garbage, there is an access hatch to the sewers. Doran and Yuron, help me remove the debris from atop the escape hatch and make a barricade in front of the door."

She moves over to the piles, and pulls out a large piece of a table and piles it next to the front door.

"Morosino, grab the torches from behind the bar. You others get ready to ru.....

BANG BANG BANG

The door rattles from the force.

(Outside in a deep, booming voice)
"You are surrounded, come out and give yourself up or you shall feel the wrath for the Order of the Rack!"

"Blast!" Doran rushes over to the pile of garbage and begins tossing it away, piece by piece. "Ain't got time t' be messin' around 'bout guards and knights! Help me move all'a'is junk!"

"Since I believe they tend to torture first and ask questions later, we had best be moving outa here right quick."

Phaedra helps to uncover the access hatch to the sewers.

Dakka has a fierce gleam in his eye.

"Well, we're all confederates now, whatever our intentions may have been. Quickly uncover the hatch, if they breach the door in the mean time I will make them think twice about entering. Does anybody have caltrops?"

"We'll worry about wha' they're wearin' af'er we get th' Hells outta 'ere!" Doran continues to shove debris out of the way in an attempt to reach the trap door.

Siliquai quickly moves over near the hatch, and begins aiding the others. Everynow and then stopping to look up at the door, then quickly back to help.

"I second that motion, lets get a wriggle on!"

"Knights? Hell Knights?" Yuron said, his eyes widening in fear. Unlike dottari, Hell Knight was clearly a name he knew. He worked quickly doing as he was told, blocking the door as well as uncovering the trapdoor.


THUD THUD THUD

As Morosino returns with a torch, Janiven had already opened the hatch, and the two make their way down.

The tunnel is rough-hewn and leads down 20ft to a simple wooden door.

Perception 14:

At the bottom of the tunnel, the sound of broken glass can be heard from above.


The other side of the door leads to a small nook which has been carved out of the sewers.

"We have a safe house in Rego Sacero ("Priest Sector"), we must get there quick. Luckily, Arael and I prepared for such a disaster."

She points at an drawing of an arrow in chalk on the door.

"We have marked all the intersections, so we could find our way back to the hideout. If anybody gets separated from the group or lost, look for these marks and follow the arrows"

Janiven knells down and pushes some bricks aside. She sighs in relief.

"Good they are still here"

She pull out a small backpack, opens it up and starts to pulls out some potions.

"Three..Eight..Sixteen" Perfect. We need to get moving, and we will not have time to rest. Everyone make sure to grab a couple of these."

Everyone receives 3 potions of cure light wounds

Janiven turns around and grabs some long pipes leaning against the wall and starts to insert them into grooves cut into the door.

"You guys make a run for it while I buy us some time and board up this door. I will catch up! Hurry!!

Quickly Siliquai grabs up her three potions and a torch, then using a tindertwig from her pack lights her torch and proceeds to light the torches carried by the other members.

Shuffling in through the trap door, Doran blinks and tries to adjust to the light in the tunnel. After reaching the marked door at the bottom of the tunnel, he begins to hear the crunching of glass breaking. "Blast it all, sounds like they ain't messin' around up there!" Doran takes the potions from Janiven and gives her as much of a smile as he can muster. "I expect t' see you in one piece right soon, miss! Be safe!" Stuffing the potions in his backpack, then shouldering it, the Taldan man takes off through the door, unsheathing his sword as he prepares for the worst.

In the dark of the sewers, Yuron lifted the rock above his head and said a few words. The rock began to glow, bright as a torch.

After stowing the potions, he started down the tunnel, as quickly as he could without danger.


The tunnels of the sewers are ten foot wide, with a 3-foot-deep trench of water and waste taking up half that width. The smell of raw sewage is nauseating.

Morosino points out the way as you make your way through many turns and twists through out the sewers.

Doran soon comes to a T junction and the marking appears to be rubbed away. After closer inspection Dakka looks at the mark and points south, finding another one down the way.

The party soon comes to a pile of rubbish (bricks and waste) that was caused by part of the ceiling caving in.

Morosino runs over and starts to move away the pile.

" We must get through to the other side. Help me clear out this garbage"

Oh great, more trash to move... Though not thrilled at having to actually touch the disgusting stuff blocking their way, Phaedra decides it is much preferable to being caught and questioned by HellKnights and helps to clear a path.

Doran follows suit, sheathing his blade and beginning to move debris out of the way. "I 'idn't imagine 'is is what me night would be like..."

Dakka sighs. Tengu, always picking through trash.

He shoulders his musket and bends to help the others, using his club as a lever if need be.

"Keep a wary eye for what might be on the other side. Maybe toss a light-pebble when we have an opening?"

While the others clear the path, Siliquai keeps a keen watch on the rear. With a dagger in one hand, and a torch in the other she stairs down the sewer tunnel for any signs of movement or sounds.


As the party clears out the rubble about a dozen tiny , mouse size globs of oozes with thin insectoid legs and antennae like appendages come crawling out from the sewage and rubbish.

Marching Order and Initiative

Doran, Dakka and Phaedra are working on the pile of debris, Siliquai is watching the rear and Yuron is... probably between the lot of us? I don't know how that'd really work as far as marching order goes.

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Doran cusses softly under his breath before drawing his dueling sword. "Brilliant. T'day's jus' gettin' betta' and betta'!"

Are we marching again, or still clearing out rubbish? Phaedra was up against the rubbish, helping to clearing a path.

Yuron watched as the wall was cleared away, and then gasped as the creature's made their way through the hole in the wall. After taking a moment to compose himself, he said a few more words and the rock in his hand levitated, moving toward the hole in the wall. When it reached the wall, it would remain in place.

Wedged where he is Dakka will stay put unless the back ranks make room and Doran indicates he wishes to withdraw from the wall, or if Phaedra wishes to swap places to move within range with her glaive.

Dakka shouldered his musket and drew his club to help clear out debris. He will hold an attack with his club as a ready action in case any Torbles move within range, attacking the first that flanks Doran.

This is my first time playing a spellcaster, so I'm going to go ahead and ask this right now. Should I bother being vague about the spells I'm casting and give the DC's to identify them? Because it's just fine for me to tell what spell I'm casting.

Morosino yells Torbles! Stomp Em!

Doran's blade draws an arc as it slices through the ooze, splashing some of it's body over the adjacent wall.

Aldori Dueling Sword Attack on Torble(1) 7 damage

Yuron drew his crossbow as he chanted some words, suddenly a layer of energy surrounded his body.

Mage Armor Cast

As the remaining Torbles swarm Dakka and Doran. Dakka smashes one of the strange vermin like creatures, its guts sticking to the tengu’s club.

Club Attack on Torble(4) 3 damage

Dakka and Doran start to feel tingly sensations on their bodies.

Torble(5) bites Doran 1 damage and 1 acid damage.
Torble(8) bites Doran 1 damage and 1 acid damage.
Torble(9) bites Dakka 1 damage and 1 acid damage.

Retrieve a Potion of Cure Light Wounds from his pack.

Standard:
Attack Torble (t7), fighting defensively with his Aldori Dueling Sword wielded in one hand.

Phaedra moves up knells down and stabs a Torble at Morosino's feet, pinning it between her blade and the brick floor.

Siliquai continues to watch the rear as Morosino runs away from the slimy rat like vermin.

Doran grunts as the Torbles attack. He then retrieves a Potion of Cure Light Wounds from his pack, and swings at one of the torbles, missing it, but leaving himself in a defense position.

Dakka releases an involuntary exclamation of birdlike anger and disgust. "Caw!" as he brings his club down at one of the oozes, barely missing it.

Yuron made a face as he stepped into the water, hoping for a better angle as he shot his crossbow. The torble was quicker then the bolt and scrambled away.

The torbles continued to crawl up Doran and Dakka as the vermin sucks on there armor and garments.
