Ugh. That guy hit me. Holy cow! Lieutenant Worf! Whoa, big fan... I mean, thank goodness you are here. Stay in character, Helena. Great! Do you know where the wizard councilor guy is?

His name is Oloch, he says. I recognize the name from some reports I've read, if that is him he's on the up-and-up. He just asked where the wizard was. We probably need to run back to town for a bit. He looks hurt and we need to get more equipment and more water breathing. Maybe a scroll or two. Sable seems more herself with Vixen talking again.

Yawning, Agni agrees. "Seems a nap would be useful. How long we been down here? Anyone know if any others have had better luck than us? I suppose we could ask the guys daughter in town if he's returned too."

Smiling, she adds "Could you imagine? Searching this place for days...only to find out he wandered back into town?!" Giggling at the thought, she turns to the half-orc. "So, where's your warrior's sash?"

"Eh, no matter. I think the drinks should be on you tonight."


"I don't know about drinks being on me. Seems pretty clear you needed my help. Besides, you know us Orcs. We never have money." he seems to chuckle at his own joke.

The group makes it's way back to the underwater lake, during which time Oloch explains that he was with the second group led by Khonnir Baine, the rest of which were killed. He was apparently left with the creature your group killed as some form of payment.

Swimming through the polluted lake, you make your way back to the Foundry tavern. When you arrive at the door, Val comes out to greet you, clearly hoping that you have returned with her father. She is disappointed, but tells you that she is glad that you are uninjured. She also questions Oloch extensively about when and where he last saw her father, and Oloch does his best to answer, but it's clear he doesn't know any more than what he has shared with you.

You spend a restful night in the Foundry, and in the morning prepare for your next foray into the weird underground structure.

Feel free to purchase anything that you want, but you can't spend PA here, as there is no lodge in Torch (or all of Numeria, for that matter).

But there are potions and scrolls for sale correct? As well as holy h20 and other alchemical things?


Yes, you can purchase such items, up to level three spells or 5,000 gp in value. Obviously, you will need to follow the PFS buying guidelines, but an Adamantine weapon can be purchased at any time.

Purchases made, I've updated my equipment section. I assume Oloch will heal himself so we probably stay until everyone is full up and head back in.

So, Oloch, did you fight any suckerbeast space monsters? I think I know where we can find one!


"No, but we fought some little guys that I think were called gremlins, or pecks, or something like that. They were annoying, and there were a whole bunch of them. Then we fought a bunch of four-armed skeletons, but what was really weird was when they retreated."

Vixen shrugs, then laughs too loudly, clearly not getting it. Did you find anything valuable? So far everything has been broke. Even worse Sable just spent money. Sigh. You seem to be a priest of somebody, can you cast "true resurrection"? I need too find someone that can cast that for a ... friend. An ex friend. Yup, ex, very ex. Whelp, gotta go! The group rests for the evening then makes it's way back through the polluted lake into the underground area to where you found the powerful four-armed creature. Doing a complete search of the room, you discover the following items:

From the creature's corpse:
two well-made shortswords
a well-made cloak
a pair of javeliins
40 gp

From the room:
the only thing in the room that isn't nailed down in a black-colored rectangle of some material none of you recognize. Oloch will say "Khonnir had one of those. It's some sort of key that opens doors."

Moving back to the door in the hallway, you quickly discover that the black rectangle is indeed a key, as you use it to unlock the locked door in the hallway, leading to what appear to be tunnels. I'll get the map updated shortly.

"Are we ready to continue? Were any of those items magical Sable?" she asks.

Once all are ready, she start down the hallway, quietly.

Sable detects that the cloak is indeed magic in nature, but lacks the training necessary to determine it's properties.

Moving through the doors into the short hallway, you discover that the doors are unlocked at the far end. Vixen goes through the doors, then comes back and tells you that it looks clear. Entering, you see:

A large metal desk with blinking lights and strange glowing panels sits atop a raised area on the east side of this room near a circular table. Two couches covered with black material sit to the south a pair of black metal pillars. Splatters of dried blood stain the floor and walls near a pair of doors to the north, while here and there patches of rust-red mold and fungus cling to the southern wall. The room itself is brightly lit by glowing panels on the ceiling.

Left is always right, right? Looks like there is blood to follow at least. Vixen will search around the room if Sable says it is safe.

the fungus does not appear to be dangerous. It's more like rust.

After investigating this room Vixen will proceed to recon the door with the blood in front of it.

Taking up a defensive stance, Agni waits patiently as Vixen inspects the closed door.

"I'm ready if there's to be a fight."


Vixen moves through the door, and returns after about a minute, informing the group that there is a long curving hallway that ends in another set of double doors, with another set of double doors directly to the right of the ones at the end of the hallway. The trail of blood continues down the hallway to the double doors at the end of the hallway, although it fades as it goes.

With a nod, Agni does as instructed and cautiously continues down the hall. Pausing in front of the next doors, she smiles at Sable and whispers "Do your thing."

Don't feel too bad little kit, someday people may think you're the hero and I'm the sidekick. Maybe.

Vixen will then peek around.

The map hasn't been updated but the walls look like interior in this room. Can Vixen browse all the rooms around? She'll go so far as to attempt to stealth.


She can try to stealth, but as soon as he peeks her head out of the wall she'd be visible, unless she happens to pop out behind a piece of furniture. It's why I haven't been having her go more than a room in, as there is a very real potential with using incorporeal scouting to trigger multiple combats.

As you examine the bloodstains, you can tell that they are at least a few days old.

Slipping through the door at the far end of the hallway, Vixen steps back through quickly, followed by a *THUD* as something heavy hits the door without opening it.

Vixen informs the group that it's another of those "Robots".

Your group can have a surprise round before the creature comes into the hallway.
