In case anyone wants to move over and set up early (we're getting close to switching): Here's the linkto the new Campaign.
So, to crunch or not to crunch? It seems nice to be able to isolate the non-combat stuff within a spoiler, which leaves more room for the story as you scroll through old posts.
I use crunch from when I want to say something like:
"Angry now, Lucas draws his sword, sidesteps the minotaur's reach, then steps in to flank with Arianna."
Move avoiding AoO's while drawing a weapon.
Attack with Longsword from flanking.
AS OPPOSED TO:
"Lucas charges the minotaur."
It depends on my mood.
Ahhhh. I see! I kinda like that. I have been tending to do for that stuff in between what I say, but I think that could be confusing. Does the GM use that too?
BTW, I miss tangible gaming with y'all! We should have a special one-shot game when we come for Christmas!

Blarg. Okay, let's just keep things the way they've been on here, then. Also, would anyone consider moving to not using the battle board in the next leg of the campaign?
I don't mind. However, from experience, it can be frustrating on the GM. You need to be overly specific about number of enemies, their position, terrain, etc.
It works though, but deference is usually given to the player when there is a question.
This is just how I've done it and seen it done.
If a detail was forgotten or not obvious in the description, combat could get tedious. But I bet we could make it work.
I prefer a gameboard. I'm quite visual and it seems much more confusing to me to try and play without one.
Good news! I figured out a way to access the gameboard on my phone, so I think we can go ahead and keep using it for now. It's not a perfect solution, but it'll work.
So, you may have noticed my casting is a bit different this combat. I wasn't happy with how things were sounding before, so I decided since I have a ton of languages, I should probably be casting in at least one of them. I chose celestial as the main language for my spells.
Rick and I have decided to also pretend that's how I've been casting the whole game. Sorry for the change, but it's my first time playing just a spell caster! Sorry this is so long, but thought I should probably explain the abrupt change!!
I like to roll with the punches. No worries here. I do like the change though :P
Yeah, it's pretty cool. Good on ya. (Much better than using Ohj Nohj Rhonbah Kuun for every spell, which is what I've done.)
haha, I put the text of my spell in google translate, then clicked through languages till I found one I liked the "sound" of. Added a few syllables to make it to my liking and BAM celestial! ;)
