Icarus finds a potion, a light crossbow with 12 bolts, and a short sword.

I will check the other two guards for anything Miro missed after handing him the crossbow, bolts and short sword, unless the short sword that they had looks better then mine.

I believe the proposed plans are tie them up and leave them in their boat, or take them prisoner and keep them in the hold of the Abacus. Miro has spoken vehemently against leaving the guards to their fate in the hold of the Razmiran ship. Sounds like 2 votes for prisoners, 1 for leave in the boat, at the moment.

You tie up the guards and put them underdeck and hide the other ship in the side river. While doing this Icarus pockets one of the potions. The short swords the guards are carrying are common weapons, nothing special.

The Abacus leaves the place immediately. As the ship sails smoothly up the Glass River, Amauhak asks you about how you intend to perform the rescue mission, namely how you will gain access to the inn without arousing unwanted suspicion. Metella, Passad, and Amauhak all allow you to devise a plan first, as each is keen to gauge your cleverness.

Metella recommends you pose as religious pilgrims seeking answers to spiritual questions that require privacy and freedom of movement. Passad, rather deprecatingly dismisses Metella’s suggestion as transparent nonsense, a challenge that clearly offends Metella. The Kalistocrat counters that you should pose as merchants seeking a way station for a regular trade caravan, as such a cover would require unfettered access to the property in order to assess its amenities.

You can also make your own plan, but a plan is highly recommended ;)

Miro nods his agreement to Ragnar, although with the man's gruff manner and surly looks, he likely would have guards on them even if he WAS a merchant. He similarly looks at Maeron and Dorgrin. You continue your journey on the Abacus. Suddenly the river narrows ahead, flowing around a central isle thick with trees and vegetation. The northern fork of the river runs beneath a canopy formed by the isle’s overhanging trees and riverside foliage while to the south, the river is open to the sky above.

The captain of the Abacus takes the boat down the left fork and just as the Abacus is halfway past the island, a young river drake jumps out of the water, looking for food. He flinges a water snake he just captured onto the deck.

Following the river drake confrontation and resumption of the journey east you reach the Gray Revelation Inn. Near dusk, the captain of the boat points out a pleasant country inn up a hill on the north shore of the Glass River, where a small dock offers a berth for the Abacus. Passad and the envoys indicate they’ll wait out the night in their cabins while you execute your mission at the Gray Revelation Inn. Before leaving the boat, Amauhak strongly advises you to refrain from violence on Razmiri soil if it can be helped; Metella and Passad, in rare agreement, concur. A stone path leads from the dock about 200 yards through some light tree cover to the villa.

A sign above wide wooden gates reads, “Welcome to the Gray Revelation Inn.” The gate leans open invitingly, and the smell of fresh flowers wafts on the cool breeze.
