Nadra |
it's just five feet too long for both of us to be able to reach the other side on a charge or I'd probably have Nadra argue her plan a little more. scratch that, i forgot we're in medium armor.
Nadra glances the two ends of the hallway and it suddenly seems much larger than before. "Perhaps you are right. In my haste I did not consider our own safety. We should move quickly though if we are to retrieve the other dwarves and return to our ship safely."
Nadra |
I'm seeing five doors so lets see how well Nadra can see/hear what's beyond them.
Nadra walks by each of the doorways in attempt to finding the other dwarves.

snap, forgot to say which is for which. top right first, then the three on the left, and lastly the bottom right door.
Therbin Warrak |
Upon hearing that prisoners were found (or if someone comes to get him or lets him in the north door), Therbin returns to the cell room to guard the north exit. "Let's gather the dwarves in the NW cell, then I can attend to healing them if necessary. We can also look for clothes in the other room."
Sothy Samnang |
Sothy tried to be useful, so as soon as manacles was taken off, he took a dwarf and moved him to the room, where Therbin was expecting all dwarfs that need healing.
Billin |
Billin hurries--what qualifies as "hurrying" for him, at least--to Nadra. When he reaches the fallen dwarf, he casts a healing spell.
If it matters, that's two rounds of double moves for me and then cure light wounds on the third round.
healing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Nadra |
Do we have time to wait for the two to become conscious?
Nadra lets out a pent up sigh of relief when she finds the last dwarf. "Now that they are accounted for, should we take them out now or make sure this level is clear? There are still some doors that we don't know what's behind. I myself would like to clear this floor first as I'd hate to make our escape only to have enemies on our tail."
Evenstar |
Evenstar looks at the three dwarves, then her companions.
"I agree, Nadra. Further, there might be some evidence that implicates our captors, and that might be useful should authorities arrive as we make our escape," Evenstar says.
Therbin Warrak |
Therbin waves Nadra to the end of the hall. "Do any of those keys unlock this door? We should probably clear rooms while keeping the exit behind us."
Sothy Samnang |
As Sothy saw short route to exit, he asked:
"Why don't we take dwarfs and secretly leave back to our ship in the middle of the night? I have couple of healing potions, probably this might bring them alive, so they can walk."
Therbin Warrak |
"Hmm, you might have a point Sothy," says Therbin as he listens to what he said and then looks toward Nadra unlocking the door. "We were told to avoid violence if we could and we do have what we came for. If we get caught, I don't think it matters what evidence we have, I believe the "authorities" would not side with outsiders."
He walks over to the cell with Rakuska and asks,"Do you know how many captors are in these rooms? Do you have any idea where your equipment is and is it something we need to retrieve before we leave?"
GM Baerlie |
The left door leads to the room where you came from. The right door leads to a bigger room. A number of wooden chairs and other furniture are stacked in this large room, as well as a few casks. A corridor heads southward.
The casks contain mead and ale, and the chairs as well as a few side tables are stored here for future use in the inn above.
GMs advice: if you want the second PP, you should at least search the cell corridor thoroughly
Nadra |
"Believe me when I say that our safety and the safety of the dwarves are my top priority. This is why I wish to finish exploring this floor. If there are those who wish us harm nearby, I rather meet them head on instead of them catching us off guard."
Therbin Warrak |
"You're right Nadra, we don't want to be caught off guard as we are moving our wounded friends. Let's finish searching this area before we head back to the ship. I can stay here to keep an eye on our friends and make sure no one comes up from behind us" Therbin stands by the west door so that he can see into the other room as well as glance down the cell block hall.
Billin |
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Seeing the loose brick, Billin walks over to it and removes it. He extracts the box, opens it, and gasps. "Uh, guys, I'm not sure what's up with this, but I don't think it's good."
Sothy Samnang |
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Sothy saw a loose brick as well. He moved there with Billin and looked over his shoulder.
Are those components for some dark ritual? Knowledge(arcana): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Nadra |
yeah... there's no way I'm seeing either of those things. best i can do is 19. Perhaps one of our more observant members can see it.
"And if someone does comes behind us and you're on your own, how do you intend to protect yourself and the others. I would rather we stay together. We can close and re-lock the cell doors to feign their captivity longer if need be to ensure their safety."
Evenstar |
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Even if I took 20 I can't quite make the 28.
"This isn't good," Evenstar says. "I think we need to explore the rest of this place and make sure they don't have a way to follow us."
Nadra |
I didn't see the post before i made mine. And i looked at everyone's perception and none of us can make the 28. The closest is Cale who can make at most 27
"Such things are never good. We should cleanse them in the Dawnflower's light (fire in this case) to ensure they are never used by these people." Nadra says as she looks over Billian's shoulder at the items.
Therbin Warrak |
"I figured I'd stand my ground and yell really loud until you came to help," Therbin replied to Nadra with a grin. "Nice job finding the brick and secret door. Let's find out who's hiding in there." He then moves down the corridor to the secret door.
Sothy Samnang |
"Hey, Billin, put them aside. It's not a cleaning flame of Dawnflower, but it also is pretty good in consuming human remains." Sothy pulled a tight cork from a flask with his teeth. As soon as halfling put his hands away, guy put a nice portion of acid inside a box and after thinking for a moment put empty flask in a backpack pocket.
Nadra |
Having located a secret door in the hallway, Nadra miraculously locates a keyhole and tries the keys on it. With a satisfying click she pushes the door open and looks inside.
perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
edit: I use detect evil as well.
GM Baerlie |
Nadra and Celedonensis see two lemures lurking in the room. They attack as soon as somebody opens the door.

damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
Sothy Samnang |
Sothy position himself near the door. He hesitated for a moment, but then opened scroll case and get out a piece of parchement. He read it quickly pronouncing magical words in calm manner.
Move to door, get scroll, cast shield from a scroll.
@DM, how high the ceiling is?
GM Baerlie |
You can move your token to the door if you like. The ceiling is about 8ft high.
Nadra attacks the closest lemure, but the creature is so disguisting, that she can't concentrate. Sothy prepares for the fight and casts shield from one of his scrolls.

"What are these vile creatures?! We will pop them like ticks!" she exclaims.
Double move...I was too far away to attack.
