Good idea Monkeygod. <crosses fingers expectantly>

I say keep our PCs around in case he comes back. We all invested way too much in them, each other and this game to just walk away, never to come back.

I'll email him and see if that gets a response.

agreed.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yeah, Darnak will be sittin' around just in case. 'Cause you never know.

Dude's a heck of a DM. You hate to lose that.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

I rather like you all, so i'd like to ask you guys a favor:

I am thinking of starting up a new game, and id like some others to play important NPCs for me. Would any of you be so inclined?

m Orc 8 Fighter / 2 Champion

Absolutely, I love doing that kind of thing. Let me know what you need.

Of course, that's if I don't want to join the game. :P

Male Pale Master

my answer is the same as Oterisk's ^_^

What it says on the tin; Caffiene addict 20

I could be down for that.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Might be kinda interesting. If you do decide to start this game up, I'd be interested in a bit more info on what this might entail.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Can I get everybody's emails? Its much easier that way, so I can group msg you all.

email:

Dmb1481@gmail.com

Male Pale Master

email sent.

guessing you didnt get a reply from GM_Arbiter also?

As of tomorrow it's been a month since anyone posted. ;-( I hope the DM is ok.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yeah, me too. Arbiter was a cool dude. Real good DM. There's no way I could keep up with all this high level business as a DM. No way.

Male Pale Master

damn, my post got eaten but yah ditto here. a real shame too. this was easily one of the coolest games on here and had infinite potential.

i always wonder if something nefarious happened to those people that just disappear like that and hope that it didnt.

Same.

Yeah, it does tend to make you wonder, doesn't it?

Hello,

I’m sorry I have been gone for so long. I cannot explain everything that has happened, but between computer failures, weather problems and increased responsibilities at my two jobs I have not been able to participate in any online communities.

I apologize for taking so long to contact everyone about the changes in my home situation. I hope my absence has not been a major hindrance to anyone’s fun here on the forums.

I’m sending out this message now so everyone can plan accordingly. I will be unable to participate in any forum games for the foreseeable future. Please carry on without me (which shouldn’t be too hard since I haven’t been around for so long now).

I hope everyone is well and will continue to be so. I enjoyed my time here on the forums and my interactions with all of you. Thank you for understanding and patience.

Thank you all for your concern. I'm very disappointed to be leaving this game. I hope you guys had some fun, and I'm sorry I wouldn't be able to continue it.

m Orc 8 Fighter / 2 Champion

Hey, well we do appreciate that you are still alive. Thanks for the fun we had, and I hope you do well in your future endeavors.

Male Pale Master

Definitely glad to hear that you didnt succumb to some horrible news line GM_Arbiter. Had a great time with this game and sorry to see that it is indeed over but fully understand the reason why. Take care and hope everything works out.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Glad to hear you're alright, Arbiter. You're a heck of a GM and had an absolute blast! Take care of yourself, buddy.

What it says on the tin; Caffiene addict 20

I'm just glad to see that you're alright. We were a bit concerned.

It's a shame this game is going away. It was a lot of fun. But I understand. Real life comes first.

Good luck.

On a related note: Anyone want to pick up DM-ing? This is a great group and I hate to see it vanish. Maybe we can even do a round robin or something.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

I've always wanted to run a game on these boards, but, I just don't have the time. Heck, I struggle to post as a pc on a daily basis.

Maybe when I retire in 15 or 20 years THEN I should have the time. :P

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

I know the pefrect GM for this, but I think he's a tad too busy right now, epsecially with a newborn...

However, we should all pester Voice of the Voiceless anyways LOL

Ohh, He'd do well I think.

I messaged voice. Cross your fingers and send cookies.

Much as the approach is humbling and gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling of being appreciated - I'll have to pass on the opportunity to DM you folks.

As intimated above by Monkeygod I've got a pretty full plate with the eight games that I already DM on the go. I just don't have the time to fit it in either now or for the forseeable future with work being nuts in the background and the newborn still at an attention grabbing age.

I wish you guys luck in either finding someone to take on the mantle, or in enticing one of you to stand up into the DM'ing chair :)

What if Vesta murdered everyone in the undead game? ;-) That would free up some time, right?

Alright, Voice is out. I nominate MOnkeygod as DM!

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

MONKEY! MONKEY! MONKEY! No pressure. ;)

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Gee thanks...

I want to continue to play Akor...

Hmm,

I suppose we could attempt to ask in the recruitment forum..

Then, if that fails, we can run it internally. I seem to recall TCG having a lots of free time due to a boring job...

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

I'm gonna be honest, I seriously doubt we're gonna find somebody to run this pbp. Why?...

It's so high level for one. There's a reason there's so few of these on the boards.

The stuff Arbiter was running was homebrew. I think initially it was some form of module but after that I believe it was all him. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

So either someone would have to be willing to run an 18th level(or possibly a level lower) mod, or, make stuff up as they go. And I know it's not easy to create that kinda stuff.

Those that want to create and run a high level adventure are in the minority, I believe.

I will also say that I feel like none of us really want to DM this. Mainly because we all want to play our characters. But that's as it should be. If at all possible, I'd rather someone new come in and DM it. I like the party as is and would rather not have to sacrifice anyone. And DM'ing and playing your PC at the same time just ain't the same.

Speed 40': Fly 50' Init +5; Perception +24;AC 20, T:11, ff:19, F+10, R+9, W+18(+2Ench); +2 SR 18; CMD17 HP: 56/56

I really do want to play this character also. Plus, though I have lots of player experience, my DM experience is somewhat limited. Further the boring job should be going away in the next month or two with just a little bit of luck. I've had three interviews with three different companies in the last two weeks. So even if I could DM this I wouldn't be able to for long. Playing takes significantly less time.

Javell is probably right, but it never hurts to ask. Get anyone to read this thread and they'll see it's rather awesome.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Wasn't Arbiter running, or working on running, the Witchwar Legacy?

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yeah, if you still want to throw this in the recruit thread, MG, we can only benefit. TCG's right, you can't go wrong by asking.

m Orc 8 Fighter / 2 Champion

Hey, I'm good with playing this again. You don't want me to GM though. Last time I did that, it was a bit of a disaster. Besides, I've been staying away from the bestiaries so that my RL group can be more exciting.
I don't want to have to make my GM make up all the bad guys because I've read all of the entries.

But maybe someone will like our characters and our dedication and give it a go. I'm up for it.

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Alright, shall I make a new thread, with a link to this one, or use the recruitment thread already in place? Not sure if it matters, just thot I'd ask...

m Orc 8 Fighter / 2 Champion

Try the old thread first, and if it doesn't work, try a new one.

It's more of a metaphor. I'm a construct.

Well, regardless of what happens I'm totally saving this character in case an appropriate campaign comes up again.
