I am thinking of starting up a new game, and id like some others to play important NPCs for me. Would any of you be so inclined?

Yeah, me too. Arbiter was a cool dude. Real good DM. There's no way I could keep up with all this high level business as a DM. No way.

I’m sorry I have been gone for so long. I cannot explain everything that has happened, but between computer failures, weather problems and increased responsibilities at my two jobs I have not been able to participate in any online communities.

I apologize for taking so long to contact everyone about the changes in my home situation. I hope my absence has not been a major hindrance to anyone’s fun here on the forums.

I’m sending out this message now so everyone can plan accordingly. I will be unable to participate in any forum games for the foreseeable future. Please carry on without me (which shouldn’t be too hard since I haven’t been around for so long now).

I hope everyone is well and will continue to be so. I enjoyed my time here on the forums and my interactions with all of you. Thank you for understanding and patience.

On a related note: Anyone want to pick up DM-ing? This is a great group and I hate to see it vanish. Maybe we can even do a round robin or something.

I've always wanted to run a game on these boards, but, I just don't have the time. Heck, I struggle to post as a pc on a daily basis.

Maybe when I retire in 15 or 20 years THEN I should have the time. :P

Much as the approach is humbling and gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling of being appreciated - I'll have to pass on the opportunity to DM you folks.

As intimated above by Monkeygod I've got a pretty full plate with the eight games that I already DM on the go. I just don't have the time to fit it in either now or for the forseeable future with work being nuts in the background and the newborn still at an attention grabbing age.

I wish you guys luck in either finding someone to take on the mantle, or in enticing one of you to stand up into the DM'ing chair :)

Then, if that fails, we can run it internally. I seem to recall TCG having a lots of free time due to a boring job...

I'm gonna be honest, I seriously doubt we're gonna find somebody to run this pbp. Why?...

It's so high level for one. There's a reason there's so few of these on the boards.

The stuff Arbiter was running was homebrew. I think initially it was some form of module but after that I believe it was all him. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

So either someone would have to be willing to run an 18th level(or possibly a level lower) mod, or, make stuff up as they go. And I know it's not easy to create that kinda stuff.

Those that want to create and run a high level adventure are in the minority, I believe.

I will also say that I feel like none of us really want to DM this. Mainly because we all want to play our characters. But that's as it should be. If at all possible, I'd rather someone new come in and DM it. I like the party as is and would rather not have to sacrifice anyone. And DM'ing and playing your PC at the same time just ain't the same.

I really do want to play this character also. Plus, though I have lots of player experience, my DM experience is somewhat limited. Further the boring job should be going away in the next month or two with just a little bit of luck. I've had three interviews with three different companies in the last two weeks. So even if I could DM this I wouldn't be able to for long. Playing takes significantly less time.

Javell is probably right, but it never hurts to ask. Get anyone to read this thread and they'll see it's rather awesome.

Hey, I'm good with playing this again. You don't want me to GM though. Last time I did that, it was a bit of a disaster. Besides, I've been staying away from the bestiaries so that my RL group can be more exciting.
I don't want to have to make my GM make up all the bad guys because I've read all of the entries.

But maybe someone will like our characters and our dedication and give it a go. I'm up for it.
