Hello again! My car is now fixed, along with my Internet connection. In addition, I'm finally off work. One person took the week off for vacation and another called in sick all week. I've been working to cover for them when I have not been waiting for the repairmen.
I realize this is little comfort to everyone since we've lost a week of gameplay. Obviously, everyone will be busy with Easter today, so I'll start things back up on Monday. That should give me time to read over the posts and catch up with everyone else.
I hope everyone had a good week. Enjoy the holiday and we'll all meet back here with bells (and weapons) on.

It's all good, Arbiter. Sounds like you've had a hectic week. Good to see you got said issues taken care of. That kinda stuff is just a pain to have to deal with.

it's like watching a psychotic horse run into a burning stable.
Whatever Junkie McTweakster, at least I'm not the one sittin in the corner a huddled, broken mess, tappin my veins yellin "I need my fix!! Gimme the good stuff or I'll zap with my magick!!"
Welcome back! And yes, I'm saying that to myself since you guys have been here the whole time. If you have any questions about your dreams, go ahead and post them. Also, let me know if you plan to do some form of research in the libraries, summoning learned creatures or just asking around among the crusaders for ideas.
Also, I loved reading about where you'd like your characters to go and I think with some good roleplaying we can accomplish those goals. In fact, a fair number of them would help advance the plot.
Obviously, you guys now know that some "dark entity" is manipulating this crusade, which means this is someone capable of manipulating demon lords and humans. Destroying this artifact won't be the end of the journey; it's just one of the first steps in many scheming plots.
Feel free to ask any questions here or in the main thread. My own RL game just had its penultimate session Sunday. The final session is in two weeks, so I'll have a bit more free time once that concludes. I'll still be working one full-time job and one part-time job, so I cannot promise to be here every moment. :)
glad to have you back GM_Arbiter. Sorry to hear that your RL game is ending. Unless its for the best of course.
as to the dreams - really enjoyed the personal touches here! This is the kind of thing that breathes a richness into a game and its much appreciated.
Malak and his shadow play a game, each one trying to hide from the other. It's not cheating to float through walls in this game, since both of them can do it in the ninja's dream. The two go deeper into a pit surrounded by ice. Sliding through the walls seems to hurt here, but then everything is fine again.
Is the pit familiar?
Thinking now that I will need to personalize my shadow more.

Unless someone wants them or can use them SParel will hold onto the scrolls.
Assuming we sell everything not used for half (except the circlet) we have ({3750+36K+9} /2 +1500) we have $25,875 to split between us.
I'd highly recommend getting diamond dust for resurrections and restorations in the future. It sounds like we're in for some S+@* in the near future.
Possibly. I will have access when I get 8th level cleric spells. However I never broke down my wizard spellbook list. If I tried my brain might explode. So, I made a couple of blessed books and called it a day.. It's assumed I have a lot of spells based on our level, but not All of them.
Lower level spells I just assume are in my book. The higher level ones i'll leave to Dm discrerssion.
When we get time I'll make a few dozen blessed books and fill those with every available spell just for s$+@s and grins.
Bah, Paizo ate my first post. We can come up with a spell book for you soon, Sparel. It's not that hard. I have one for my level 12 wizard we can start from (I keep PDFs of old sheets to have quick NPCs and the like).
For now, assume you can prepare that spell. Also, if you search the Technic League, you could probably loot some spell books too.

Perhaps I should release my army of eyes to find loot. Yes. Excellent. *hands together mr burns style.*
The group can loot the city if it wishes. And that would be the correct word - the party would be looters after a major magical disaster. It would be like flying to New Orleans in a jet to pick through the debris left by the flood for salvage.
Of course, there might already be some looters there ...

How far is the Iomedae fortress? Akor will head there, and check in on his people. Even if they don't provide much extra info, he'll go speak with them because he's one of his goddess' most well known champions and it might boost morale for him to show face.
I'm grocery shopping now, but I'll check the map and get you a distance soon. It will require magic to get there today since it's along the border near Mendev.
Actually, it's not that far. It's about 135 miles, as the crow flies, from Starfall to Castle Urion. You should add about 20 miles to that if you go on foot because most people would walk around the edge of the Echo Wood.
The Echo Wood is the closest large forest to the capital.
It will take 9 to 10 days for the refugees to reach Castle Urion, assuming good weather and no major problems with the carts and wagons. From there, they can take the "River Road" to Nerosyan or downward to the River Kingdoms.
The refugees started leaving the city while you guys were eating breakfast the first day, so they will begin arriving in larger numbers at the castle nine days after that point.
Looking around Starfall, it's easy to estimate that about half of the civilian population either died or was taken by the invaders. That means about 16,000 people will be heading for Castle Urion. It's a small town with a keep that normally has about 1,200 to 1,300 people.
Also, Sparel and anyone with Knowledge (local) realizes that the Technic League's outpost in the port city of Chesed is now probably the closest thing Numeria has to a functioning government right now.
