Viorc first holds still and watches for anyone else or anything else coming.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

With no sign of movement, he quietly opens the cage, and leans over, with a hand on her mouth to indicate silence, and then - gently at first - shaking the woman, and taking other regular actions to help wake her up quickly and quietly.

Heal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 To wake her up.
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 To do so quietly.
CMB (Grapple): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 To keep her quiet.

Waking an unconscious person isn't specifically on the Heal list... but I'd say that the roll is good enough for what you're attempting. You've regained control of Heksfazia - and your Constitution score is at half of its normal level.

As you wake up, you see a slightly familiar face - male, serious, and weathered by hard work out in the world. His hand is over your mouth, but he's not gripping tightly or aggressively. You're feeling weaker than normal - quite a bit weaker, even as the memories of those bloodsucking beasts comes flooding back to you.

Upon being satisfied that you aren't about to stop screaming, the man pulls backwards - and a massive glob of webbing shoots from by the open door and straight towards his back, right in front of your eyes.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

The webbing strikes with unnerving accuracy as a bloated, hunchbacked spider drops out of invisibility - and gives you a moment to respond. Unfortunately, your gear has yet to be retrieved, leaving you with just your magic and whatever other tools you can scavenge. On the bright side, if Viorec can get free, he might be able to help you take the monster down...

Initiative (Enemy): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Initiative (Viorec): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Initiative (You): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5

Escape Artist: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Oooooooor he might be perfectly capable of doing things on his own, thank you very much, and you can almost feel the spider's irritation as the huntsman somehow slips free of the webbing and readies his bow for a shot. Before he can fire it, the spider rears back and sends a spell right towards you...

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

...but as it impacts against your will, it simply bounces off. You may be groggy, physically weak, and perhaps a bit confused, still... but even in this state, your natural ability is enough to protect you - and you're finally able to act.

Huh. Posting under the wrong alias above, but oh well, close enough! Also, does Hexy have her spells back? She did not earlier tonight. What about her mythic power?

Fae blinks, groggily, and refocuses.

Man.

Spider.

Spider-man?

No, that's stupid.

A spider-man wouldn't be attacking the man.

A spider-woman than. She clearly intended to eat the head off the man.

That made sense.

Also, Fae didn't want her to eat the head off the man. That would suck, and not in the fun way.

She rolls into a standing position, and quickly casts about for anything she can use, grabbing any sort of weapon at all.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

EDIT: Really? Really? Thanks, Paizo dice roller. That's helpful! (I lied. It's not.) Ah, well, she's still groggy or something. *mutter*can'tevenbeataDC10*mutter*

If it makes you feel better, Sevia's game often has long runs of below-average rolls, and I seem to roll natural 1's as often as she gets 20's... with neither of us often rolling the other. The dice roller on this site is... seriously non-random. XD;

In one smooth movement, Viorec raised his bow and draw it back, an arrow appearing as he did... and for just a moment, he studied his target. The arrow shot out a moment later, with the sheer force of the bow whipping back the dust within the room.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 for Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

It seemed like a very close shot indeed, but the arrow sunk into the spider. Letting out a screech, it began climbing up the walls and onto the ceiling, then spat out another web towards you.

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

The goop came close, but splattered against the wall instead, leaving you - and your increasingly clear mind - free to react.

(Fe)male Half-Elf (currently) Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 2 / Oracle 2 / Ranger 2 | HP: 36/36 | AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 18 | Fort: 9, Reflex: 7, Will: 7 | CMB: +4, CMD: 18 | Init: +0 | Perception: +7 (lowlight vision, darkvision 30) | Sense Motive: +5 | MP 2/5 |

"Hey, Hero, mind if I ask a personal question?" Fae asks her rescuer, "Good!" she continues, quickly, before he actually has time to answer. "You all normally got a problem with ugly, stupid, *****Y spiders, or is this new?"

She casts about as she does so for anything she can use, or even throw.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

"I mean, granted, she's too much of a coward to even come finish off a weakened woman and a lone man, but it's still mildly annoying."

Does she see anything to grab or attack with? EDIT: Remember, she can literally "throw anything" (via the feat!) as a thrown weapon! Does she have her spells or mythic power or is that not yet returned? At present Fae literally has nothing she can do right now. EDIT: I mean, she doesn't mind a handsome, good father rescuing her, but, you know, she'd rather be able to help if something happened to him.

Also: could she grab onto a strand of webbing as it's spit out, and haul the spider down?

Technically, she hasn't rested for eight hours... XD Buuuut yeah, let's say she's recharged. You're probably gonna need that - and these modules are generally built for parties, not solo play, so it's important to make adjustments. And no, you can't grab the webbing - it's detached from your foe once fired.

"First time I've ever seen one of these." Viorec mused. After a moment, "...Ugly thing." he added thoughtfully, pulling back his string and letting a pair of arrows fly towards the spider.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

Neither of them was a terribly good shot, though, and they simply bounced off the spider's hide. However, they did serve to distract the creature as you looked around - and were able to spot a pile of familiar-looking equipment piled in the corner. It might be a bit hard to get your armor on right this moment, but those weapons could be handy.

The arachnid foe, in contrast, just focused its energies to send a spell towards Viorec and removed the threat of his bow.

Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

For a moment, he wavered... but managed to shake his head and clear it off.

(Fe)male Half-Elf (currently) Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 2 / Oracle 2 / Ranger 2 | HP: 36/36 | AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 18 | Fort: 9, Reflex: 7, Will: 7 | CMB: +4, CMD: 18 | Init: +0 | Perception: +7 (lowlight vision, darkvision 30) | Sense Motive: +5 | MP 2/5 |

Fae nods, and runs toward the ladder as quickly as she can.

Along the way, she flings the remains of the knotted rope!

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 Damage??

She grabs the ladder and hauls herself up the thing quickly.

The rope... didn't do much of anything, but you do manage to make your way into the upper room, up the ladder... and it won't be too easy for the spider to climb in without at least giving you the opportunity for a few solid kicks.

Another pair of arrows shot through the air as Viorec slowly backed away from the approaching beast.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

However, the darting movements of its body helped it quickly duck out of the way of the attacks, and it didn't even hesitate to spit out another chunk of webbing.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

This time, it actually struck - covering the man in webbing once again and taking him out of the fight for at least a few moments. With that done, the arachnid monster turned towards your hiding place and clearly prepared to scuttle forward...

(Fe)male Half-Elf (currently) Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 2 / Oracle 2 / Ranger 2 | HP: 36/36 | AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 18 | Fort: 9, Reflex: 7, Will: 7 | CMB: +4, CMD: 18 | Init: +0 | Perception: +7 (lowlight vision, darkvision 30) | Sense Motive: +5 | MP 2/5 |

Hexy smiles to herself, and sets herself in a position too low for the spider to spit at her, readying herself to slam into the thing with full force when it charges... but looking like she's hiding scared! And if she can, she grabs both her mutagen and inflict wounds extract to drink as soon as possible...

Ready standard action: charge! Or drink if that doesn't work!
Bluff: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Attack!: 1d20 ⇒ 18 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2 Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 1

No guarantee that I'll have PC access, but here's my best "quick and dirty" round guestimate!

I think the thing you're looking for is "feint", since Bluff isn't used that way. XD

The spider tensed its body a bit, then sent out a surge of magic towards you, aiming to cloud your mind.

Will (DC 13): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

...And you had no difficulties whatsoever shaking it off, nor in charging towards it - just in time to realize one important detail. You're on the floor of the room above, and it's on the ceiling of the room below. Even sticking up, there's only so much a charge can do (though you do manage to damage it a bit).

With that, you're up again! And your companion is struggling to free himself from the webbing down below...

Bumping this back onto my page... I hope...

Okay, weird. I've tried posting in this thread a few times, previously. It doesn't seem to have worked! :/

Hexy attacks the thing!

Attack!: 1d20 ⇒ 12 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2 Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 5

The attack doesn't quite manage to strike the creature, though it does chitter wildly before snapping out with another bite.

Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Unfortunately for it, the strike is a biiiiit too shallow to actually harm you, and you're easily able to avoid its mandibles as it attempt to bite into you from below.

Hexy attacks the thing! Again!

Attack!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 Damage: 1d12 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Attack!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 Damage: 1d12 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 4

switched to using Lucy - not really sure why I didn't last round. Weird.

EDIT: for correct alias, and correcting the dice expressions. You know, with this much combat, and her relatively poor rolls, Hexy is not feeling very mythic. Sigh. Ah well, let's see how this goes.

In fairness, Level 2. XD Few characters - even mythic ones - are truly incredible at this point.

Combat:
Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 for Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 for Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 for Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Your blows seemed to be having a lot of trouble striking home. After your third attempted strike, though, there's a twanging sound from below. It sounds like Viorec has finally gotten free, and a pair of arrows shot out of his bow and towards the creature assaulting you.

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 for Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 for Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

It screamed and whirled to face him, turning its back towards you. Trying to slam at its body while it was on the ceiling of the room below you didn't seem to be working too well... and a glob of webbing struck Viorec a moment later, making it impossible for him to draw his bow. You could continue swinging with the hammer, or perhaps try a different weapon that might be more accurate at a time like this.

Not really sure what this would be, but, sure, I'll try something different...?

"You know, you really should be working for me - I can find a way to make you... desirable." Hexy says to the spider thing. "But, until you decide to do so..." Hexy shrugs and grins.

Dropping Lucy (with a quick, "Sorry, Baby!" whispered in it's direction), Hexy whips out her bow and attacks the thing! Again! ... again!

...and the arachnid snapped out with its jaws several times, until you finally managed to put an arrow right through its head. The creature dropped to the ground, blood oozing out of its body, and Viorec finally managed to get free of its webbing.

"...You all right?" he inquired.

"Hmph." Hexy says, looking at the corpse. "Worthless waste." she mutters, looking at the creature.

Glancing over at Viorec, she grimaces from her wounds, but then smiles. "Well, I've definitely been better, but I can hardly complain! You totally rescued me!" she enthuses at him. "A bit wounded and short on resources, though..." she trails off.

"Oh! What about you?!" she suddenly worries. She quickly hops down the ladder to check on her rescuer.

Heal: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

As she checks on him, she takes stock of her situation. She may well need to retreat to come back later.

Currently: Hexy has 0 mythic power, 0 first spells left, no elixir (it was used and she never had a chance to spend time to replace it, to my knowledge, though she could have hypothetically done so while traveling here; hm...), and less than two-thirds of her hit points. She's two extracts - neither of which can heal her -, a scroll of reduce person, a scroll of remove fear, and that's pretty much it. Hm.

"...Been worse." he mused thoughtfully. "...Ain't gonna go well if we can't solve this tonight, though." Even as he spoke, a whisper could be heard in the back of your mind.

<My, my, you are in a bind... I can help, you know, and I'll even make sure that none of the other gods find out we made a deal. All I ask in return is that you see this through to its completion... and that's what you wanted to do anyway, isn't it? Be a shame for that pretty young thing to suffer because of you.>

Unaware of the seductive whisper, Viorec kept a finger on his bow and glanced around. "They may have a few things here we can use." he added. "Best be quick about it, though. Basement's probably a good place to start."

Asmodeus offers you a Temptation: As a Miracle, you can fully recover your HP and refresh your daily abilities - including mythic power - as if you had rested for eight hours. This will not impact your alignment or the way that other deities view you.

"I'm glad." she says, demurely. She looks at him, sincerely, and says, "Thank you... for rescuing me. I... wouldn't have survived the night. I would likely have gotten better and come back, but... it's good that this happened instead." With that she hugs him, tightly, quickly, before letting go.

She breathes out, quickly, "Right!" she says. "Wait right here (probably looking around for others, yeah?) - I have something I've got to go take care of."

She quickly heads back up the ladder, looking around, briefly.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 looking for people or things upstairs

<Oh, fireshorts - you know just the sorts of things to tempt a girl to... sin.> she says in her mind back to him, grinning. <Fine - I accept, under the condition that there are no other "side effect" than what I understand to be "seeing this through to its completion", whatever way that susses out. I'm not terribly worried about the girl's fate, considering what she was willing to do to me, but I'll try to save her, if I can. But know this: it's only because I think you'd look fabulous in hot-pants...> she grins at him, "... Asmodeus." she finishes softly, but aloud.

A dull reddish glow - too dim to really notice beyond her immediate vicinity, but hot, and hellish, and dark - briefly envelopes the former qlippoth. It felt hot and overbearing and painful... but in a good way.

I went ahead and narrated to speed things along. Feel free to expound, as a GM, of course! XD I'll update her stats, soon, but now I've a crying baby...

Feeling refreshed, she grabs whatever she thinks might be useful, and heads downstairs to Viorec. "C'mon, Home-Hero. Let's get this done and get you back to your wife so she can enjoy some of that sweet, sweet lovin'." she winks at him. After that, she begins searching for the basement...

The upstairs crawlspace doesn't seem to have much in it, though it may serve as a temporary storage or hiding spot for others. Downstairs, however...

The walls of this low-ceilinged basement are decorated by curtains made out of a mix of thick sheets of webs adorned with countless dead insects. Most of these are flies and mosquitoes, some of which are quite large. At the far end of the room sits a low wooden table on which a hideous shape crouches—a human-sized statue of an insectile monster made from corn husks, dry branches, rags, and bones. The floor of the room is an uneven layer of moist soil and earth, and three shovels, their blades caked with earth, lean against the side of the stairs.

During your search of the basement, you are able to find several robes and masks similar to those you've seen others wearing, decorated much like mosquitoes.

Viorec frowned as he joined you in crossing the chamber, then moved over and began using a nearby shovel to spread aside some of the soil within the room. It didn't take long to reveal a fairly fresh body buried down here. Though well-decayed by now, it was clearly dressed in the attire of a wealthy man. "...It appears we've found the tax collector." the huntsman said quietly.

Hexy squints her eyes. "Hm. So it appears." she says. "Well. That sucks. Maybe I can get him back later."

She walks over, and picks up on the robes and masks. Nice., she thinks, looking them over. Needless, hideous, and perfect, really. The robe will be... tight... in some areas on her... particular... er, build, but it'll definitely do. And quite possibly, that slight ill fit will work out perfectly.

She tosses one over at Viorc - and a mask - and places the one she's chosen it over her head and wriggles into her own.

Charisma: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

She finishes, and... ugh. Well, that didn't work out at all. Hideous, really. She sighs, looking down at herself, and puts on the mask.

She checks her reflection in the mirror. Nope.

They disapprove of you falling to temptation. ...They reaaaaaally ought to know you better by now.

Eventually, you manage to get a reasonably decent disguise on. There doesn't seem to be any sign of magic in the room, aside from yourself and Viorec's powerful bow. It doesn't take him long to put on his own disguise, either - though you might want to think about how you're going to pick each other out of the crowd. It might be far too easy to lose track of each other if you get too crowded... Still, since there doesn't seem to be anything else in the house worth noting, it may be best to move on and fulfill your end of the bargain... before it's too late.

(Which, in this case, means going north on the map. XD)

Giving little identification tokens to Viorec and herself, she nods at him, and carefully exits the place, searching around, and eventually heading to the north.

Carefully, you and Viorec head outside of the building, and almost immediately come across a bit of water. This muddy cattle pond buzzes with the sound of gnats, and its surface writhes with a thick layer of wriggling mosquito larvae. The stench of rot emanates from the maggot-filled corpse of a dead ox calf that lies half submerged on the edge
of the pool, tangled in the vegetation.

There's a broken-down barn to the east, while straight north is the corn field, which all but immediately branches off to the left and right. Viorec keeps his bow ready, ready to bring it up and shoot on a moment's notice.

Unsure where to go, Heksfazia shrugs, and chooses at random.

1 left, 2 right: 1d2 ⇒ 1

She heads left. She will slowly continue to take whichever path she sees that looks like it continues deeper into the corn field.

She nods at Viorc and proceeds cautiously and quietly as possible...

Take 10 on stealth, makes a total of 6. So... not quiet at all, but maybe better than nothing...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As you and Viorec moved forward, through the corn maze, a sudden buzzing sound could be heard... and a truly massive swarm of mosquitoes rose out of the corn, buzzing and surrounding you... only to land gently on your bodies and buzz happily. None of them seemed interested in biting you, and indeed, a few even seemed to be lovingly rubbing their heads against you. After a moment, Viorec shrugged, and the mosquitoes lifted off and returned to their homes within the corn.

Once the insects have gone, you're able to continue creeping forward.

A thirty-foot diameter glade sits at the center of the field of looming vegetation. The ground is stripped down to bare earth and soil is heaped in a ring around the glade’s perimeter. Two large piles of wood stand at the eastern and western sides of the glade, while an enormous, twisted mass of roots topped by thick slabs of timber sits at the glade’s center. There are just shy of two-dozen people within the glade, most of them garbed in thick robes that seem to be... moving. A moment of examination makes it clear that mosquitoes have landed on them as well, taking the place of clothes, though one individual is still garbed in more normal wear.

Even as you watch, the two piles of wood are lit to create bonfires, and you can see that Shel Lupescu - the attractive young woman you met earlier in the day - has been bound within. Tears are flowing down her cheeks, but none of those in attendance seem to care as they raise their voices in a prayer to something.

"The fallen will be easy to take down." Viorec muttered, pulling you back and out of sight so nobody within the clearing could see you. "If we're going to put an end to this, we'll need to take as many of them down as we can, as fast as possible. If you have any enchantments you want to cast, now is a good time."

Nodding, Hexy does as he says, taking out a flask and taking a good, long, hard drink. As she begins to undergo the transformation beginning her partial returning to that state that she remembered, the state that once felt oh so good, even as it was so wrong, she grinned, muttering the words, and tapping into that ancient portion of her that was once nearly a demon lord, pulling up that old power to enhance her. In that brief moment, she recalled just how pathetic she'd become. Well. She would fix that. And screw whoever got in her way. Perhaps literally, perhaps figuratively. Either way, nothing would stop her.

She hefts Lucy, tenderly, almost like a lover. She turns her hard gaze at the one who seems unaffected...

Viorec was starting to look a bit worried about teaming up with you, and fingered the string of his bow in a rather meaningful way - the meaning, in this case, being a clear willingness to shoot you if you looked like you'd become a threat to him or his family. He had a wife and a child he was here to protect, and anyone proving to be a threat would get his very best shot.

A moment later, though, he gestured towards the clearing, clearly inviting you to go first.

She smiles at those gathered, mask and robe doing little to nothing to hide her altered features.

The villagers are slow to react - almost drugged, and a few of them ask you to remove your robes and join the ceremony. The only one to react differently was the Mayor, who stared at you from across the clearing. he seemed... annoyed, more than angry.

"Only blood can contain the land’s nightmarish corruption." he said, raising one hand. "Cast aside your weapons and false beliefs and join us - we will gladly show you the truth of this world!"

Generally speaking, any comment to the effect of "stepping away" means a five-foot step. Other forms of movement will use terms like "darted", "ran", or even "pranced" to note a greater level of activity - one you may be able to take advantage of. ^^ Also, if your max HP is 36 at the moment, I believe you should be at 27 HP - one of them did hit you for 3 damage earlier.

According to my understanding, her alignment and the demeanor of deities in general does not change with this effect in place, which is why I'm accepting it. Please let me know if this is incorrect, and presume that she does not take this action if it is.

Don't know what this is, but if it has DR, this bypasses DR/magic as it's magical, currently, with bless. It doesn't bypass material or alignment, though. She'll pay attention to see if it has that and possibly do something about it next round.

"Vic, ignore the rabble - we've got bigger flies to swat!" she calls out to her current-ally.

Abadar, as a Lawful Neutral deity, currently falls under 'Hostile', and accepting a spell from him would indeed impact your relations with deities. That one was not offered with a 'no change' bit.

Your hammer whipped through the air and crashed into the massive mosquito, magical energies penetrating its main resistance to damage. Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 for Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

The creature, grappling you, was slowed down just enough for one of the arrows to punch into its hide, and the magical power of the arrow allowed it to punch through the creature's armored hide and significantly improve the damage dealt.

"Would you mind trying to break away from the creature so I can get a better shot? That seems like a dangerous place to be." he said, his voice deceptively mild. The creature, meanwhile, was wasting no time trying to sting you again.

Sting: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

...And despite its close proximity, it came nowhere close to striking you.

It kind of sucks, because it fits her character concept more, buuuu~t, I don't think it works very well, mechanically. I might be retraining a lot more than just that, though, as I made a number of decisions that all link together. I'm not entirely sure I like how she plays at present, or how the mechanical flavor really comes off. I'll have to think about it. Not sure how much "retraining" covers, actually, either, so... Blarg. We've allowed it to work for so long in our games... sigh. Anyway.

"That'd be nice, Vic." she agrees.

CMB: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

"... but nope." She growls for a moment, then, "Abadar." she says, as the power of Slow attempts to move forth from her and over the creature.

Temptation, taking Abadar up on his offer of Slow for a +L/-C effect. EDIT: DC 18 will negates (4th level, +4 ability modifier = 10+4+4=18).
Concentration: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 v. DC 14+?? Concentration check (10 + spell level [4] + (CMB)? EDIT: I hope its CMB isn't higher than +10.

Everything you need to know is here.

Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

The insect let out a screech as it threw off the spell through sheer willpower. Another pair of arrows punched through the air a moment later, aiming for its thick hide.

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 for Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 for Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 for Damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (1, 2) + 10 = 13

The creature's body shook under the force of the shots - and the first one, in particular, blew straight through its body and right out the other side, followed by a small fountain of guts. The blightspawn screamed as it let go of you and fluttered up into the air (provoking an AoO), then flicked its stinger down in a desperate attempt to kill you.

Sting: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

...And it just barely missed.

I'm a mythical Power, everybody! :D ... :/ ... :(

"Il'surrish." she whispers, accepting Il'surrish's offer as well.

Temptation, taking Il'surrish up on his offer of Elemental Aura (fire) for a +C/-L effect. DC 17 reflex for half (3rd level, +4 ability modifier = 10+3+4=17).
Concentration: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 v. DC 13+?? Concentration check (10 + spell level [4] + (CMB)?

EDIT: I'M A MYTHICAL POWER. SO. VERY. MYTHICAL. >:I

You're a Level 2 mythical power. XD Fighting a foe at CL +2. In my experience, powers that improve your abilities are more reliable than those that weaken foes while you're at lower levels/tiers. Also, sometimes the dice hate us. DX That said, you don't need a concentration check to cast since it let go of you, only to do so defensively... whiiiich I don't think you could do even with a Surge.

AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Its stinger flicked harmlessly through the air, though, and you were able to conjure an aura of flames around your body - drawing screams of surprise from the villagers around you.

Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Unfortunately, Viorec's arrows weren't able to hit the beast as it hovered in the air ten feet above you, sounding like a thousand mosquitoes all gathered together. "If you've got anything good at range, now's a good time!" he called out, voice sounding... tense. The creature had been badly wounded by this point, and abyssal ichor was dripping out of the hole in its side and onto the ground as its stinger shot at you once more...

Sting: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

...though again, it failed to strike.

She drinks her mutagen (STR), then she casts (herself) Shield of Faith, Shield, and (with mythic power) adds Bless, Expeditious Retreat, Ironbeard nets +2+1+4 = +7 to AC, +30 ft. speed, +1 attack, and +1 saves v. fear.

Updated three rounds of reduction on the above for the previous two rounds and this one.

Hey, I just realized: if this is an evil outsider, it should have been taking two additional damage from... *checks* the one time I've hit it so far...

Drawing out her bow, she aims and looses, quickly.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 +2 for evil outsider? Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2 +2 for evil outsider?

EDIT: Yep. I'm a mythical being!
