Sevia will spend a minute to look through the ship's manifest, interested in where the ship has been and what it had supposedly been doing. Before heading up and checking the area at P2 - sword in hand - and then P3 as well.

If Sevia doesn't find anything or anyone, she'll move on to P4.

The first other room you check seems to be the Captain's room. These finely appointed quarters contain a desk, a chair, a bed, and some chests, all of which have been screwed to the deck. A single lit lamp rests on the deck and illuminates the room completely. However, nothing of particular interest catches your eye.

The second room is a supply storage area, and the boxes and barrels look new - their export stamps are marked with yesterday's date, but it's likewise an unimpressive chamber overall.

Proceeding down to the floor below, six large ballistae are housed here, screwed to the deck and mounted on rails so they can be pushed through the swinging doors on the side of the hull and fired at nearby ships. There is no ammunition present for these weapons, however, and the deck is empty. The southwest corner of the room contains an open trap door that’s a 7-foot drop down to the bottom of the ship - where you sensed the evil signatures from before.

Was there anything noteworthy in the manifest?

Noting nothing significant within any of the upper deck rooms, Sevia checked the area at P6 just to be complete with things before moving to the open trap door and carefully peeking down to avoid being seen.

No, there was nothing of interest within the manifest.

The simple quarters on your current floor contain several recently slept-in beds and the dark lantern on the floor is hot to the touch, as if it were recently lit.

However, nothing seems to be in there, and you're unable to see much from where you're looking through the trap door - the crates have been carefully arranged and require heading down the steps to the bottom of the ship if you want to see inside the area.

Before heading down, Sevia decided to cast Mirror Image upon herself - and being dissatisfied with the initial amount of imagies, cast it again. Then, just before jumping down, concealed herself invisibly.

Sevia uses a ki point to go invisible, she'll then jump down into the hold and begin concentrating with her Detect Evil to pin point the sources of any auras while she searches, swords drawn

Map updated.

This is where cargo would ordinarily be stored for passage, but aside from several empty barrels and a few broken crates, this room is empty of cargo. Well, normal cargo, anyway - there are twelve slaves shackled on the far side of the room - and perhaps more importantly, there are four half-orcs within the room.

One of them is waiting at the very foot of the stairs, and heard both your movement up above and the landing as you moved - without hesitation, he punches outwards towards your space in a series of furious blows.

Melee Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 60
Melee Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Melee Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

The second and third blows weren't much, but the first came terrifyingly close to landing a hit - and the half-orc bellowed something in his native language.

Sevia could've sworn she'd been rather quiet about this, had these half-orcs known she was coming? That didn't seem likely, since she'd just come from the Inn.

Regardless, as she sidestepped the Orc's punches, her own swords came back in response.

Incidentally, you have four mirror images, not five - by RAW, when you've got multiples of the same spell effect at different strengths, only the best applies.

The flurry of blows managed to sink into the orc's body, killing him - but the other three were alerted to your presence now, starting with the closest one that took a step forward before unleashing his own furious series of strikes.

Both attacks of your struck home, though they weren't enough to kill the half-orc.

By luck - it couldn't possibly have been anything else - one of the half-orcs managed to land a good blow despite your invisibility - though with so many of them all attacking at the same time, it was probably inevitable that something would hit.

Your retaliatory blows flashed out a moment later, killing the injured warrior and wounding the other two. Now, however, they were able to maneuver to flank you...

Despite the few successful attacks the orcs were managing to get through her defenses, Sevia wasn't especially concerned. As the second orc fell, she stabbed into the third while maneuvering to get the fourth off her flank.

That should probably be sufficient to down them both, if not I'll keep full attacking. The round after the last one falls over, she uses Lay on Hands on one that's still alive.

Upon the collapse of her last foe, Sevia quickly rushed forward lay a hand on his chest, staunching his wounds with positive energy - while her foot kicked away his weapon.

Another of your images shattered, but despite the violence within the hold - and the shocked cries from the captives that were still awake - the last monk seemed entirely unafraid of death and simply let out a roar of defiance before your weapons managed to bring him down - and bring him just back over the edge a moment later, though it was clear he was still badly wounded.

They're monks - and not using weapons.

He is conscious right? If not I'll heal him until he is.

Placing a heel on the half-orc's chest to keep him down, Sevia lowered her wakizashi to his throat. "If you want to keep your head I suggest you start talking. How many of you are left? Who's in charge?" Sevia asked menacingly, this time aiming to get as much out of her opponent as possible. The half-orc merely spat upwards. "Someone much scarier than you." he said, clearly expecting to die - and not at all afraid of doing so.

You can hear a voice from high above a moment later. "Where in Asmodeus’s chamber pot are my bloody slaves? Orcs! Front and center! Now!" It's distinctly female and very commanding - and the half-orc looks intensely amused at the sound, though the captives suddenly start struggling frantically against their bonds - very afraid indeed.

Coup De Grace

Unfortunately for her, she couldn't just play the part of four orcs, which left disguising herself out of the picture - as much as she wanted to try that. She'd just have to settle for ambushing the woman. And there wasn't really time to get these people free or look for a set of keys.

Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32

Darting back up through the trap door, Sevia squeezed through the gun port where one of the ballistea had been drawn back - creeping up the side of the ship to look for the newcomer on the top deck.

Sevia uses some lay on hands while she does that, and casts Detect Evil on this person

The response is immediate - you're able to sense a strong aura of evil on her... as well as the floating, transparent being next to her.

Ducking back down and squeezing back through the gun port, Sevia cast Ghost Sound in the hold below, mimicking the sound of a crash and grunting - hoping to further anger her target and get her down into the hold.

Taking up position near the doorway, Sevia cast Shield on herself before waiting a minute to see if her target would take the bait, ready to strike her the moment she came in.

"Liiiiies." the specter rasped as the sounds of grunting came up from within. The woman glanced up sharply, then back down at the ship, eyes narrowed. Don't know why I took that cantrip, gawd it seems to suck

"Damn, I would've liked to have gotten her." Sevia clicked her tongue - though luckily she'd gotten a good look at her face. She certainly wasn't about to attack her on the docks though, so let the woman go. "Epyon, follow her. And keep out of sight." Sevia told her familiar, helping the bird through a gun port and watching it take to the sky before returning down into the hold. Hopefully she'd still be able to track her down, she wasn't about to let her get away, especially with that spectre in tow.

"Who knows how long before she gets back, let's see if we can get you lot out of there." Sevia said with a smile, searching the dead half orcs for a key, or anything else - before heading for the first captive and undoing his chains. "Any of you a man named Cestis by chance?" she asked as she worked the locks.

If there isn't a key around, Sevia will use disable device and take a 10, if a 10 doesn't cut it she takes a 20. She'll do this for all of them.

After a few moments of looking around, you're able to pull out a ring of keys that fit the locks binding the prisoners - several of whom, judging by clothes and overall appearance, are actually rather important citizens of the city. The search also revealed 1575 GP in a bag held by one of the half-orcs - a nice, tidy sum for the work.

At the question, though, the prisoners looked around... then shook their heads. "He was that Pathfinder at the auction, right? I don't think he was brought here." one of them eventually offered. Epyon squawked a moment later, flying back into the room - and emanating a sense of concern as it landed on a desk. It certainly didn't seem like the woman was planning to stay away...

"He wasn't? Any ideas where they would've taken him or anyone else then?" Sevia asked exasperatedly as she finished undoing their chains, tossing the keys aside. As Epyon swooped in however, she grinned. "Oh, well look at that. Seems like she's coming back. Better follow me up to the next deck, if you squeeze you can get out through the gun ports and swim back to the docks." Sevia told them, leaving out the tidbit where she might just make half the boat disappear right out from under them as a distraction.

Heading back up to the next deck, Sevia motioned for them to follow her up, and slipped back outside of the ship. Signaling for them to wait a moment, Sevia popped her head over the side of the ship to get a peek at what was doing on.

The woman had returned, along with the floating specter - and four fighters armed with long quarterstaves. "Someone's messing around with my slaves." she said flatly. "Find them, kill them."

The specter continued to look around, the most active searcher within the group.

As stealthy as she was, hanging onto the side of the ship to get a better view was awkward at best, and as it just so happened the spectre's watchful gaze managed to find itself on her as she was trying to get a better footing. Luckily though, it put her in the perfect position to leap over the railing as soon as she realized she'd been had and dart across the deck towards the woman - drawing her swords and calling down a divine smite against her.

The specter lunged out as you closed, and Epyon kept well back as the undead spirit acted to protect the woman.

Touch Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

It did not, however, actually manage to strike you - and your blows came in a moment later.

The woman almost managed to avoid the damage. Almost. Despite her armor - and very robust armor it was - your strike managed to pierce through it and deal a fairly vicious blow to her. It wasn't enough to bring her down - not by some degree - but now it was their chance to act... and the spectre pressed on resolutely.

She's Taldan.

The woman collapsed with a gurgle just before you disappeared, and the three warriors pushed forward, moving carefully forward and swinging out their weapons (as above), but failing to actually strike you. Your invisibility dropped a moment later as you stabbed out, scoring an excellent hit on one of the fighters, missed the second, and managed a rather more normal strike on the second (not quite managing to do critical damage). With that, however, the warriors - and the spectre - moved to box you in and surround you on all four sides, with the fourth warrior stepping into a nearby corner. All four of them stab outwards in an attempt to strike you while you're still visible, though they continued to fight defensively.

As the thug tried to back off and follow his friends away while they retreated, Sevia stabbed out while he let his guard down with a vicious cut - sending him tumbling into the water below. "Epyon! Follow one of them and see where he goes!" she shouted to her familiar.

Sighing, Sevia dropped her swords and climbed down the side of the dock to pick up his body before he drowned. Dumping him onto the wooden planks - she checked to see if he was even still alive before collecting her swords and staff. Then heading below the hold to check if the captives had still remained.

Also, one of them is still Bleeding from my sneak attack and will probably collapse if he doesn't make a DC 15 Heal check or get magic healing

By two points, yes. XD

Epyon took off - and eventually, the captives were persuaded to come up out of the hold and onto the deck, looking profoundly relieved as they did so. The man who'd been attempting to dive away had been injured too badly to be revived without necromancy - people were a lot easier to keep alive when you tried to do that. On the other hand, goddess of death. Hmm.

"Come on, l-let's get out of here." one of the former captives stammered, clearly desperate to get home.

Sevia pinched the bridge of her nose, clearly frustrated by the lack of viable leads she was getting. Also, she seemed to be developing a trend for accidentally killing anyone who could possibly tell her anything.

"Look, I need to know where they would've taken anyone else, is there anything - anything at all - you can tell me about the other abductees? Or even about that woman over there?" Sevia pointed a finger over to the dead slave driver, before walking over to her body and checking her for both valuables and and clues. "If you lot really don't know anything...you're certainly free to go I suppose." she relented slightly, not wanting to push the obviously traumatized people too hard.

One of the captives spoke up a bit. "Um... s-she seemed like she was in charge..." they said, trailing off as you searched the bodies and found three important things. First, a sack with 400 GP in it. There was also a love note, signed by a Dalirio Teppish and including a map on the back, pointing towards a hidden trapdoor inside a cooper's warehouse on the southern side of the warehouse district. Dalirio seems to be quite smitten with the woman... and finally, there's the holy symbol buried under her clothing.

Studying the two items, Sevia felt relieved to finally figure something out. "Ah, here we go. I've found something." she said out loud, pocketing the items before grabbing the woman's body and dropping her over the side into the water. 'A burial at sea fits a scoundrel like her' she thought grimly before doing the same to the warrior, taking a moment to pocket anything valuable off him. She didn't want anyone to immediately spot the bodies the next day.

This set of captives looked badly shaken up enough that Sevia decided to at least escort them out of the docks before continuing on her mission, heading towards the warehouse. She mentally called Epyon back to her, figuring those thugs were no longer important, though one would probably pass out and bleed to death somewhere in the dockyards.

After a few moments, knowledge finally trickles back into your thoughts. Deities can change their symbols over time, after all, or take on different guises to interact with mortals in different ways... but it seems the woman in question was a priestess of Groetus, Lord of the End Times and someone you were once quite familiar with. Sadly, the other man didn't seem to have much of value on him - perhaps knowing better than to carry valuables into a place like this.

Epyon flew back and landed on your shoulder just before you made your way to the old warehouse. Map in hand, it wasn't very hard to locate the trapdoor, hidden as it was behind a carefully-arranged number of crates. This would probably be your best chance to activate any powers you'd like to use - once you go inside, there may not be another opportunity.

Also, I just noticed that casting Magic Missile from your staff takes two charges, not one, unless you're using an ability to reduce that... I'll be running with that from here on out.

Priestess of...Groetus? That was odd. She didn't seem like the type, though she didn't know the woman from more than a few sentences. But that god's followers were usually all doomsayers and the insane, not slavers. As she finally reached the trap door, Sevia decided to cast Disguise Self on her person, Sevia took the guise of the woman she'd just killed. With any luck she could get the jump and whatever was waiting for her as she descended down, tucking her familiar out of sight.

A smell, not unlike wet dog, fills this room. The corners are occupied by dirty straw pallets covered by wrinkled, mildew-encrusted blankets. A single dilapidated table and four cracked and uneven chairs surround it. The floor is covered in a thin layer of dust and mud and footprints clearly cross the room from the trap door in the ceiling to a set of wooden double doors in the west wall.

There are three men within this chamber - along with three large rats, and they look similar to the one you fought before, back at the run-down inn. "Hold it right there!" one of them says, raising a hand in the classic 'stop' gesture. "Name yourself!" The others raised their weapons, clearly ready to attack on a moment's notice. Aaaand she didn't know the damned name of the woman she'd killed. Well, it was a long shot. She might just be able to talk or bully them into letting her pass though.

Sevia made an obvious show to chuckle at the man - laughing typically put people more at ease. "What, you don't recognize the illustrious Captain of the Prancing Prince?" Sevia said in a haughty tone, raising one hand to her chest, before suddenly frowning. "Look, I'm here to see Dalirio. If you know me, then you know to get out of my way. If you don't know me, you should endeavor to continue doing so." Sevia said in an annoyed tone, placing her hands on her hips.

In general, Bluff is more appropriate when you're lying.

One of the men frowned slightly and narrowed his eyes as he looked at you. Despite everything, you'd managed to lie freely and easily in pursuit of your goal - though there were other factors to consider. For one, the ghostly spectre wasn't present. There was also the fact that you had (skillfully) avoided answering the actual question, which was a warning sign for anyone sufficiently paranoid. On the other hand, you'd mentioned Dalirio by name, and a true outsider probably wouldn't have been able to do that...

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 Plus and minus modifiers. *Counts* Still enough for you to succeed, though only by a few points.

The moment passed, though, and the three men eventually seem to relax. "Just a moment, ma'am." one of them said, moving aside a straw pallet and stepping on something located on the floor. "All right, head on in."

"There's a good lad." Sevia smiled devilishly, giving the impression she was happy he hadn't been difficult. Of course, she was actually quite relieved he'd bought that act. But she imagined they'd need to be dealt with before she left.

Passing through the door, Sevia walked down the narrowing stairs to the door at the bottom, opening the door.

Tall vaulted ceilings disappear into darkness high above as candles and torches barely illuminate the lower reaches of this room. Along the north wall are three cell doors, thick wooden affairs bracketed by solid steel bracings with small, six-inch-square windows set high in them. Enormous crates, barrels, and sacks of goods are stacked neatly in the southwest corner of the room. The floor is clean granite, etched with a wavy-line pattern that permeates throughout the entire room; the design even climbs the walls and disappears into the vaults above. A rat-shaped chalk drawing dominates the floor in the center of the room, clearly depicting a dire rat leaning forward as if to pounce.

One man - apparently Darilio - is standing nearby, looking at cells that have been packed with people. With him are three shambling undead Knowledge (Religion) to identify, and he turns as you enter, looking confused. "Luscilia? What are you-" he began.

"-doing here?" Sevia asked coyly as she walked into the room and closed the door behind her. She almost felt sick as she realized that what she was dealing with was actually far worse than a mere slaving ring. This man was turning people into undead, and maybe selling off others to fund himself. That was what the druid had been babbling about earlier. "Well, your note was very specific. I mean, it had a map and everything." Sevia said with a grin, leading the man on.

"Yes. So specific that you had to come back twice... and with a stench of goodness about you." An amulet around his neck flashed, and the three undead quickly moved in front of him as he gripped the shaft of a large, heavy flail.
