Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Iris looked at the figure for a few moments, considering this in the context of what she thought she knew about the universe. "I see." she said, nodding slightly. She wasn't entirely sure she believed the girl, but... there was no harm in hearing her out. "Well, as they say, don't fear the reaper. What would you like to chat about?" Hey - she was a goddess. Listening to what people wanted - and then acting or not acting in response - was literally one of the most fundamental parts of her position. She'd be a very strange goddess indeed if she had no patience for this sort of thing.

Another flicker, and the mage had been replaced with someone you haven't seen in a long time. "Oh, anything, really. I'm sure you have a lot of questions about things, and I know it's annoying having memory gaps."

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

"Vexing, but ultimately a secondary concern." Iris answered thoughtfully. As the goddess of the dawn, she was focused on new beginnings and starting over. Even if her memories were lost for good, she could simply start anew right now. Of course, that didn't mean she was going to throw them away. "I don't suppose you would happen to know where the rest of me is, then?" Restoring her power was ultimately her priority. And, thoughtfully, "Also, how might I help Chimi with her memory issue? At my full strength, I'm fairly certain I could just solve it directly... but as you may have noticed, my power is a bit dimmer than usual."

*flicker* Now you're staring at yourself at the height of your power before the avatar splits into five pieces and vanishes. In its place: an enormous raven with pupils that reflect a crescent moon. "As a matter of fact, I do happen to know that. Can't just tell you, though, as it would be breaking a promise. You lost them; you get to go find them again - but some of them may be closer than you think." The raven grew into a hooded figure cloaked in shadow "Samsarans are fascinating creatures, aren't they? Simultaneously strong and fragile. I have a particular fondness for them. Alas, it would take the direct intervention of a deity to restore her, and we both know that's against the rules. I'm sure you'll piece together a solution in time, though; you've always been rather creative that way."

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Hm - well, it had been worth a try. More to the point, all this raven symbology... was that the one who'd been behind what happened to her? One way or another, she was going to have to get to the bottom of that. "Well, I can't say I'm surprised at that... and since it would be rude to simply ask questions without answering any, did you have anything you wanted to ask me?" she inquired. Fair was fair, after all.

The figure laughed, although it seemed to be real amusement rather than mocking or malicious. "You're a funny one, aren't you! There's nothing you could answer that I don't already know." Then, abruptly, you're back in the gnome's shop. He's still in the process of casting the spell.

Do you want to do anything to increase his chance of success?

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Is there anything I can do? XD Other than sit still like a good customer, I mean. I don't think Blessing of the Faithful works for concentration checks, and her staff hasn't recharged, so she can't let him hold it and use its legendary surge... So nah, I think I'm good.

You could burn some of your own Mythic power. Three points will guarantee success.

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Sure. XD Getting rid of that is my highest priority right now anyway - and Iris is very opinionated about this sort of thing.

As GowWabber completes his spell, your mark fades away. As the last vestiges of it vanish, you feel ... freer and more yourself. Apparently, the symbol had been serving as some kind of inhibitor.

You've gained a level and (as we'd discussed earlier) the Recharge Magic divine ability. Heads-up: that'll be your last divine ability for a long time, and Mythic stuff may take a while. Because reasons. *steeples fingers and grins*

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

So... yes to Recharge Magic, and no to Mythic Tier, eh? Well, I know EXACTLY why GM's do things for reasons, so... works for me. XD ...Can we get the rules copied into the campaign info tab? Also, I'll go ahead and start the levelup, but for now...

EDIT: Okay, it's up in the Discussion tab. XD

"Thank you." Iris said, smiling at the gnome as the magic faded away. "'Twas quite an unpleasant mark, and I am glad to be rid of it."

Done. XD

The mage nods. "I'm sure you are. That enchantment was quite strong, and I was worried there for a moment that it was beyond my capabilities. Whatever gave that to you should be avoided, if you ask me."

And we're back in the sandbox. What's Iris gonna do? ;-)

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

"I'd rather not go back to where I got it for some time." Iris admitted. She had a number of fundamental problems with the very existence of the Shadow Plane, and more importantly, she had other matters to take care of. With that, she said her goodbyes and strode outside. All right... she still had some magical armor and magical boots to try and identify (she'd been busy), and after that, it was probably time to go shopping and get her finances in order.

That, and waiting for approval on the levelup. XD

You're good to go. XD

Spellcraft to Identify Magical Boots: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24

Gotta figure out what those are, and are worth, before I do the shopping... got her profile updated, though. XD

Remind me where you got those. I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Right here, in the part of the library before that forest demiplane, off a halfling.

Ah, that's right. Thanks for the reminder. XD
+1 shadow studded leather armor
boots of striding and springing

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Shopping Trip!:

>Keeping the Boots of Striding and Springing, since they're explicitly an upgrade over her other boots. XD Now she's even more absurdly fast!

Starting Funds: 100 pp, 14,807 gp, 4 sp

Selling:
+1 shadow studded leather armor = +2462 GP, 5 SP
Boots of Elvenkind = +1250 GP
Ceremonial Fey Dagger = +1000 GP? (It seems like more of a valuable than a weapon)
MW Glaive = +154 GP
Lunar-motif Noble's Outfit = +1000 GP (Do Not Want... XD)

Removing from list:
Wand of CLW (all charges were expended)

Subtotal: 100 pp, 20,673 gp, 9 sp

Buying:
Masterwork Tool (Perform - Sing; stuff to help keep her throat in good shape) = -50 GP

And... that might be it, actually. I'm mainly planning for her to craft her own things - a lot of which will go into the staff, which A) Appeals to my sense of thematic power, and B) Costs more, helping to moderate her power a bit. XD But I'm waiting until 3rd Tier for that, since I'm planning to pick up that crafting ability so she doesn't have to invest all her feats.

Final Total: 100 pp, 20,623 gp, 9 sp

Looks good - although you'll find that the fey robe and ceremonial dagger have vanished. Items from the Shadow Plane tend to dissipate into shadowstuff when the bearer returns to the Lighted Lands.

Iris does not mind this. XD *Subtracts 2000 GP in Hero Lab*

Her shopping trip had been... quite a delightful one, actually. Aside from properly disposing of a few things, she'd managed to obtain some mortal goods she'd had her eyes on for awhile. Anything that helped her voice was something she was quite probably going to be fond of, and she considered the investment well worth it. With that done, she made her way back towards the library - Chimi was probably there, still, and Iris wanted to show her how straightforward banishing the darkness could be.

(...Her views on that weren't terribly complicated. Vaunted intellects aside, deities tended to be generally straightforward about their main interests, without a lot of the philosophizing that mortals did in an effort to complicate things.)

As it turns out, I'm having to do some 5e conversion for the next segment. Give me another day or two.

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Right-o. o wo/ This should be interesting.

Back at the library, Chimi's busily flipping through some old books. They cover a range of topics but appear to share the themes of darkness, ravens, and dream interpretation.

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

"...Are they bothering you, Chimi?" Iris asked as she gently set her symbol-free hand over the books the girl was looking through. Humans could go mad if they paid too much attention to their dreams... but they weren't to be dismissed out of hand, either. Many strange powers could be reached by a sleeping mind (and she had a natural urge to try and banish those, being the kind of goddess who liked to wake people up).

The samsaran nods. "Darkness isn't something I enjoy, and the dreams have been getting worse, as of late. And then you come back with the same -" She looks surprised to see that your symbol is gone. "Oh! You were able to get rid of it? That's wonderful!"

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

"Darkness isn't very hard for the light to get rid of." Iris explained. "When you think you're surrounded by it, it's easy to be afraid - but once you start looking at the big picture, it isn't very frightening at all. It's just another thing to deal with." A single candle could light up a room and hold one's fears at bay - and a sliver of hope could weaken any amount of terror. "Have you had dreams like this in the past? If you did, what happened?" she inquired, working to ferret out the root of Chimi's worries - and see if she could lay them to rest.

Chimi nodded. "I've had similar dreams for as long as I can remember. At first it was simply a faint dimness in the periphery of my vision, but every time I had the dream, it would linger a brief moment longer. Shadows lengthening ... I try to hold back the coming darkness, but it simply engulfs my light. Each time I resist, it simply gets more powerful - like it's feeding on my strength. Then an enormous raven flies out of the darkness, pecks a hole in my heart, and scatters my essence in all directions. The last thing I see before I wake up is a forest of fangs under a lightless sky."

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Interesting, and possibly relevant. Iris considered for a few moments. "And do you have any sense of time in these dreams?" she inquired. She indicated the girl's blue skin a moment later. "Does it feel like something that happened to you in the part, something that's happening now, or something in the future?" Long-term recurring dreams usually meant something important. "And have you had the chance to talk with a priest of Desna about this? They tend to be the experts when it comes to dreams."

Chimi gives you an embarrassed shrug. "Um... all of the above? I don't really have a sense of time during the dream, but it feels real." Surprisingly, the samsaran wrinkles her nose at your suggestion. "I'd rather not do that. I'm not very comfortable around clergy in general; they make me feel icky. I'm afraid I don't know why. To be honest, you're the only person I've told my dream to."

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Well, that needed to be addressed. (...Admittedly, she may have been a little biased here.) Maybe the aversion had been caused by whatever was instigating the dreams? But that would be jumping to conclusions, and couldn't be assumed. Still. Hm. "Well, it's possible the two issues are related. They shouldn't be repulsing you, though - especially if you can't think of any reason for it. If you stare into the darkness, that's all you're going to see."

One of the wisps that intermittently floated around Chimi's head flickered into view for a moment as the samsaran's affect turned surprisingly militant. "If I don't stare into the darkness, who will? Even the smallest candle can keep it at bay, but if it goes out, there will be nothing left to hold back the night."

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

"I will." Iris answered promptly. She smiled again a moment later. "Actually, I rather like your determination - it's important for people to realize that lights don't shine by themselves, and that they should be the world they want to live in. Just... don't make the mistake of thinking that you're alone, for those kind of thoughts can allow the darkness inside you even when you're trying to shine light without. The Dawn always comes. Perhaps not always when people want it... but it is the nature of light to find and push back the darkness. 'Tis why the Shadow Fey no longer have a claim to this city."

Having a hard time getting into a GM mindset right now due to FL being completely retarded right now. Hillary can make up 150k votes, right? right? ... And we're retaining Rubio.... At least we finally legalized medical marijuana. Okay, I'm done ranting for the time being.

Chimi smiles. "The Dawn always comes," she repeats in a slightly ritualistic manner. Then the wisp flickers out, and she resumes her regular demeanor. "Thanks for that. I'm glad to have met a fellow Seeker of Dawn."

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

I... know that feeling. o wo;

Iris nodded slightly as Chimi repeated the quote from her holy text. "You said that last bit in an interesting way. Is there some history?" she asked, genuinely curious. Maybe she'd be able to learn a little more about the girl... although she did need to correct one bit, at least. Iris didn't seek the dawn - she brought it.

Do you happen to have a list of aphorisms? I believe I've seen some previously but couldn't find them in your profile.

The samsaran looked embarrassed. "It's just a mindset I try to maintain. Life is hard - especially when you're always forgetting important things. So, to keep myself sane, I try to find something good in everything. Because each morning that comes is new and unique, and if I don't work to become a better, more positive person than I was the previous day, I'll have squandered an opportunity to push back the most dangerous darkness: the darkness that lies inside myself. If I ignore it for too long, it'll become a cloud that hides everything but the negative. I know it's silly, but calling myself a 'Seeker of Dawn' helps me remember to stay positive." By her expression, she clearly expects you to laugh at her simpleness.

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

I've got two of them in a word document I wrote up, but I want to write some more. XD Alongside the one earlier, she's got "May the Dawn illuminate your path". ...Sorathel has a couple of quotes, too. XD

Iris nodded. "You're right." she answered, taking the girl's personal beliefs with complete seriousness. She was one of the last people who would have laughed at someone's beliefs. Disagreed, perhaps, but she understood faith in a way few mortals could. "It's good to see those who are interested in bringing the light every day - for the light must continue to shine if it's going to hold back the darkness. I have only one correction to make - I do not seek the dawn myself. I am the Dawn. To be the light every moment, every day - to continue shining no matter what may happen. Of course..." her mouth twitched slightly. "There are many ways to bring the light, all of which are appropriate. It takes many views to make a world, after all." The fact that Chimi had a different view than she did didn't mean either of them were wrong.

When you get some doctrine and quotes together, send them my way. It'll be handy whenever you decide to start building your church. :-)

"If you're the Dawn, then it's a good thing we ran into each other back whenever that was," Chimi chuckles. "Whichever entity set that up has a sense of humor."

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

"When you seek the light, it's not surprising that you'll find it." the goddess answered. She knew better than to feel Fate was involved - Pharasma had immense knowledge of the future, but tended to stay out of the affairs of other gods. "Anyway, I suppose I should leave you to update your journals - 'tis a shame when valuable lessons are forgotten, after all."

And I suppose I'm done here - unless there's another scene?

I didn't have anything else planned, so feel free to do what you will. :-) Chimi's dream is worth analyzing at some point, by the way. ;-)

It feels rather... vampiric. XD

With that parting message to Chimi, Iris headed back to find someplace to spend the night. And in the morning? Well, after welcoming the dawn, perhaps she'd perform for a bit and continue to lighten the mood in this city. It had a lot of people who'd wanted to disappear, but that didn't mean they were going to be ignored... and honestly, she was looking forward to getting a bit of mortal adoration. The Shadow Plane innately repulsive to her, and some time with mortals from lighter lands was just what she needed to wash the lingering feelings away.

There's quite a bit more to it, but that'll do for now. XD

For the first time in a while, you have a peaceful night free of Shadow-Plane-related stress. The morning sun rises precisely on schedule. All seems right in the world.

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Well, Iris is more about waking up from dreams than interpreting them. XD

After enjoying the dawn light and feeling it refresh her, Iris invested a bit of power into Sorathel in case her ever-loyal companion needed to be called forth. That was likely to be something of a daily ritual now, and the goddess pondered for a few moments once she'd finished. It definitely seemed like she'd dealt with the shadow fey here - but as the dawn continued to move across the world, so too did she get uncomfortable if she rested for too long. As a Goddess of travel, that sort of restlessness was part of her... and fortunately, she knew just how to attract people and start seeing what kinds of things they were worried about.

Perform (Sing): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Diplomacy (Gather Information/Rumors from the crowd): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

Your performance is well-received as usual. It's certainly nice to be able to perform without having to deal with shadow fey arrogance. And, based on the rumors you overhear, the city is truly at peace. Oh, there's quite a few petty quarrels and gossip, but it's nothing that the citizens can't handle themselves.

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Hm. Well... it was probably time to be heading on, then, unless she decided to stick around and try to finish up whatever was afflicting Chimi. She was definitely considering taking the girl on as a cleric - if she wanted to be one, of course, as Iris would never consider forcing someone into the role - once she recovered enough of her power.

I'm quite happy to go with whatever you've got planned. XD

Sounds good. As Iris is a Goddess of Travel, I'm leaving where you go up to you. XD

Female Adv. Aasimar Cons 7/Inc. 8/Mgk 8/Tier 3 | HP: 167/167 | AC: 25 [+2 vs Evil] / T: 17 / FF: 20 / SR: 13 (vs. Evil Sp/Out) | Fort: +16, Ref: +17, Will: +18 [+Stalwart] | M. Touch: +12, R. Touch: +13 | CMB: +12, CMD: 29 | Init: +10 [Hope: +14], Perception: +16

Iris thought for a time, focusing on which areas would be most interesting to visit. Andoran, perhaps? She'd heard that the nation was an attractive one focused on ideals of freedom and equality, and was in something of a revolt against Cheliax. It might be a nice place to visit and support, especially if she could bring Chimi along. It was worth a try, anyway - she wanted to see what was affecting the girl in person anyway.

Also, if you're okay with it, I think I'd like to buy some materials and use the Upgradable power of Iris' staff to enchant it as a spherecasting staff. Your choice of whether she ought to pay at 50% or 75% for that. XD I was thinking of trying to get a +2 enhancement bonus for caster level, plus an additional base Sphere in it so she gets the benefits for both Light and Destruction.

I'm fine with the upgrade. Go with the 75% option.

It's not surprising that Andoran was currently on the forefront of your mind. While you've been out gathering crafting material and doing some light geographic research in the library, you've noticed a pair of individuals doing much the same. By their accents, they're from Andoran. However, instead of the eagle iconography common to its citizens, their well-worn cloaks are marked with a twisting road under a crescent moon.

*Strong sense of deja vu* x_X

Anyway, that'll be 13,500 GP worth of materials... she hasn't done the upgrade yet, since that needs 8 hours.

Iris frowned slightly. From what she'd heard, Andoran was a rather bright country - optimistic, at least. So... symbolism of the moon (and with a twisted road on top? That was waaaaaay too Shadow Fey for her liking right now) was a little unusual. With that, she began quietly asking around to find those they'd talked to, and see if she could learn more about who they were and what they represented.

Heh, I didn't even think of that. Totally not what's happening. XD

It doesn't take much digging before you're able to learn quite a bit about the pair. The general consensus is that they're friendly, curious, and planning to return to their home country soon. The iconography on their cloaks is the sigil of the Wayward Path: an informal organization of travelers, explorers, and wanderers who share a love of storytelling and journeys. Rarely staying in one place for very long, members record their travels in magical notebooks while supporting roadside inns and keeping travelways clear of bandits and monsters. At least once a year, each member journeys to Andoran, where they make a copy of their notebook for their headquarters - the Grand Library. Although occasionally derided as vagrants and vagabonds, members of the Wayward Path are generally received positively by whatever town they're currently passing through, as they're almost always friendly and enjoy sharing information and stories from their travels.

Astoroth will almost certainly be founding a similar organization at some point, by the way. ;-)
