So, a while back there was a spate of GM's taking requests.
I may have missed the boat, but I've played the first scenario in a couple of series with this character FtF and missed the remaining. I have no idea how long it will take to cycle back around with my FtF group so I thought I'd try to get him in the remaining scenarios here before he levels out of the tiers.
Here are the ones I'd like to pick up -
#2-24-Shadow's Last Stand—Part II: Web of Corruption
#7–16—Faithless and Forgotten, Part 2: Lost Colony of Taldor
#7–18—Faithless and Forgotten, Part 3: The Infernal Inheritance*
*I'd be using a boon to replay this one because I played it with another character because I hadn't played the 2nd. It was at low tier, though so things would be different for high tier.

What level are you? I have a low level and a high level group running 7-14,16,18, and are currently in Part 1. When they get to part 2, I have no problem adding in a 7th character to one of the groups.

He's 4th level. There's an off chance he'll go up to 5th, depending on how long it takes to start, but probably not.
Also, thank you!

So time to start again. Though this time this will be a "fixed" lottery. (Two slots will be GM's prerogative for new-ish PbP players) If there is enough interest I would run two tables.

Come one, come all! Step up and listen! GM Emmjay here!. Have you ever wanted to play a series of PFS Senario's with the same group of players, carrying on like a great big campaign? Here is your chance!
Starting with 7-10 (The Consortium Compact), an easy way to get the group working together and start a much deeper role playing experience. We will then continue on with SEASON 4 scenarios. This will get the group to LEVEL 9, at that point the group will go off to other season(s) to continue the fun.
OTHER INFORMATION
You must sign up and be willing to play a LEVEL 1 character that hasn't completed ANY scenario's. It doesn't matter if you have already created the character, or are open to creating a new one, it must be completely NEW. This keeps everyone the same level, and everyone will level up at the same time.
I will choose players by RANDOM Lottery, based on their chosen role(s). Having 6 ranged characters, while fun, isn't 'balanced', so roles will be taken into account.
Players will be notified on 11/29, with the group starting 12/04. This will give players who are open to creating a new character for this campaign time to do so.

Per PFS rules, with the exception of evergreens, you gain nothing for repeating scenarios you have already completed once. Which is why I have listed all the scenarios, in order, of what will be played.

Unless you have GM replay opportunities available, you may only replay a scenario for no credit if you are playing to make the table the minimum legal size.
So if there are already 3 players at the table it is not legal for you to replay the scenario at all, even for no credit.

The legendary sorceress Hao Jin transferred many abandoned historical sites to her museum demiplane, though even her magic had limits, forcing her to transport only part of an architectural treasure. The half of a temple she left behind in the jungles of Dtang Ma has developed a haunted reputation in the centuries since. Now an unlikely ally has approached the Society with tales of unspoiled historical secrets and hidden treasure left within the shattered sanctuary of Yamatsumi, the mountain god.
If you answered "YES!" to both questions, I have good news for you!
CLICK HERE and add your name to the list. I'll choose PCs to play sometime around Wednesday (November 29th) at the latest.

GM Emmjay wants all characters to level up at the same time so,if I play then it will not be possible to level up in same time with other characters because I will not get xp for 3 scenarios.

neodam,
Michael Hallet already said it: Unless you use a replay ability (most likely from GM stars) you are not allowed to play the scenarios that you have already played, unless there are only 2 other players at the table. See the guide to PFS pages 7 and 8.
The basic rule for PFS is: you are only allowed to play the scenario if you receive credit for it or if there are only two other players (who will receive credit) at the table. You can only replay a scenario if you have a specific ability that allows you to do so.

A clerk from the Grand Lodge opens the door and walks in, the weary look on his face clearly indicating that this is but one of many stops he's made this day in completing his task.
"Listen up, you lot! There was a bit of a...mixup in the records department, and we seem to have misplaced the list of new agents. Who in here has not done their confirmation mission yet? C'mon, speak up, I have 8 more bars to get to before the end of business today."
Looking for players new to PbP and/or PFS to play the evergreen #5-08 The Confirmation. This is a great introduction to PFS, and makes for a fun PbP scenario as well. Interested? Sign up here.

Why is there so much interest in playing core?
Ican only answer for myself djpika, I run CORE once in a while because I feel it's a bit more balanced and challenging o the PCs....like it our not...Pathfinder (and by proxy PFS) has nearly caught up to 3.5 in power creep and rules bloat...
A group of 6 optimized PCs can wreck any PFS scenario out there CORE or not...However, classic adds so many options that a person need not even try to optimize to get a much (mechanically) stronger character.
I don't really object..as long as the players try to keep the roll-play aspect of the RPG at the forefront. I mostly like to run CORE as an alternate..a tribute to days gone by, simpler times, yada, yada...
Nah really it's mostly lazy...I don't have to look up a million rules to a from half a million source books...The game is as fun from CORE as it is traditional.. I swing both ways baby!

It really is a super great first adventure. The boons are helpful, the purchasable loot list is good, and its well rounded and fun.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Why is there so much interest in playing core?
Well, there are several reasons.
1) There was a urgent request for more Core games a couple weeks ago, and a number of GMs said that they would offer some when their PBP Gameday games wrapped up.
2) Online is one of the few places where Core actually thrives, other than France (which started with Core) and schools and colleges.
3) Playing it is more challenging.
4) Making character choices while leveling is dead easy.
5) Your chronicle sheets suddenly become way more meaningful, as you scan (often in vain) for a source for blunt arrows and other useful non-core equipment.
That said, there are far more standard games than core offered here. I am estimating that only 20 percent of the games that run through Flaxseed are Core. These things go in waves, so more standard games will open up for you soon.
Hmm

And as a way to learn GMing, Core is a great way to start. Less complex rules. Not having to know how hundreds of races, classes, archetypes, spells, feats and traits all interact can make life much simpler.
Of course as a player getting the character that has the perfect interaction of these things is a lot of fun, but never forget the work that puts on the GM, both to make sure they understand how it works, and to keep the game fun for everyone.

Just to complete, in France, we don't have started with CORE (I've myself start on S2). But when a new VL came in Paris without a big knowledge of the rules he began in CORE and a lot of new players and GM starts in this environment.
Thus, long active players like myself could join the new players and CORE was quite popular around here.

Guys, I am finding that I need to run fewer games in order to do a good job on a backstage project I'm really excited about for the Lodge. Is there someone who would be willing to take over one of the following games for me:
1. Masks of the Living God, in classic mode. They are still very close to the beginning of this.
2. A non-PFS game of the Ironfang Invasion. I have two tables of this, and I have found that I can't enjoy two tables of the same thing at the same time. They are all redeemed monsters, powered down to about 15 RP. They are a drow, a drider, a bugbear, and a lizardwoman. They are finding unusual solutions using their races, and it's a fun game.
3. A campaign mode table of the Starfinder Adventure Path. Because it's campaign mode, I've opened up a lot more races.
Please PM me if you're able to help.
Thanks so much to everyone who considers this, even if they're not able to help.
