yeah, I meant if the GM has a personal rule to only allow a player to be in one of their games at a time. Aerondor appears to be such a GM but also has an exception for evergreens,

Ah, understood. Read into it wrong. :)
Kel Na' Yaa |
Does anyone have any spots open in a game for a level 4 swashninja? I have 1 more xp to go to level up. I was going to play him in a local game over the weekend but it fell through. Trying to get back into the swing of things on here after some real life events.
Kel Na'Yaa strides into the flaxseed lodge and checks the board. Picture Captain Hook from Once Upon a Time, but with two hands.
Bloody Venture Captains... Can't keep their own reports together half the time. Oy mates? Got any leads on an open mission? I already made arrangements at The Laughing Lizard for my assistant to run the show for a few days and I'd hate to waste the time...
Contrary to the tavern owning thieves guild member pathfinder's words, he looks quite content to sit at the bar and drink during the entire "vacation".
Voros |
A grey-red skinned tiefling opens the door to the lodge. His cloak covers most of his body but his tail unfolds quickly from under it, waving a sheet of paper.
"Venture-Captain Sheila Heidmarch requested for some help in Magnimar. Some pathfinders are requested to go and carry some carrots, wine and ale to an old lady, ally of the society."
His tail poses the sheet of paper on a table.
"I'm waiting!"
GM Zinou here! Looking for pathfinders to play a 3-7 game: The Sanos Abduction (#4-05). Here is the link to the spreadsheet!
Cirri Merryweather |
"Carrots?" Cirri scratches her head. "Oh! Maybe she's making some soup. You'd be surprised how many people I meet brew potions out of cauldrons. Never Pathfinder members, though..."
The human woman stands up and scribbles her name on the sign up sheet.
Kel Na' Yaa |
Kel downs an ale and stands back up.
Got some contacts in Magnimar I've been meaning to touch base with, so I'm in. Two birds with one stone, they say.
GM Evil |
GM Zinou, I think someone may have been trying to sign up at the same time that I did. My character name showed Leepo Toggenberg for a moment and then it disappeared, so you may have a sixth player who signed up and isn't showing.
Leepo Toggenburg |
That was me - no worries! I saw it and added to spot 6.
Leepo has pen in hand, trying to sign the roster, when some fancy pants cuts in front of her, not even giving her any notice.
"Hey, mister! Wait your turn!"
GM Aerondor |
@Rachel, you have it correct.
"Right, can the following please report to the Blackros Museum ASAP." says Venture-Captain Adril Hestram.
"The place is cursed, and your job is to fix it."
Mad Cult
gleamingterrier
NotEspi
Valjoen_KC
GGG
Enchanter Tim
"Come on, get a move on. Remember it is the Muesum not the gambling den across the road."
Voros |
I can't get on the spreadsheet right now, but I'll take a wait list spot if there's any more. DM Zinou is awesome!
Oh! Thank you, mbauers! :)
The tiefling raises the now filled paper and looks around.
"Seems there are enough of you! Follow me!"
Korai Shardwing |
"Looks like my caravan is running smoothly on reputation alone. Gives me more time to moonlight for the society."
The heavily robed tengu orders a beer, then takes a seat and relaxes as he waits for a new assignment.
Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 1 / Rogue (Thug) 6 looking for work. Diplomat and Debuffs.
GM Evil |
Baerlie if you need another to fill in I have some characters available.
Iff |
Does somebody know Alex Rosa? He/She signed up for one of my Games with a pregen and made it from the waiting list into the game, but I can't drop him/her a message. Paizo does not find the name.
This might be him: Xender Frostbeard. I noticed he's signed up for your School of Spirits game with that character name.
Dora D Asplora |
A female Halfling riding a large wolf, climbs down from the beast.
Both are breathing hard and look as if they have crossed long distances to arrive at the lodge.
She enters the main hall and looks quickly around for other available Pathfinders. She calls out in a commanding yet melodious voice:
"I bring word of a mission for an advance team to research a world-renowned fighting competition, held once every ten years in the city of Goka on the eastern continent of Tian Xia . We seek a team of Pathfinder agents to see Venture-Captain Amara Li.
Any interested should report immediately. The mission will start once 4-6 qualified agents have been selected. I would go, but I am retired, and only agreed to travel here as a favor to the Venture-Captain Li."
This is for CORE-Quest for Perfection-1.
Doctor M.E. Scalawag |
A dashing gnome walks in and looks up at the sign above the bar. "Flaxseed, huh? Most of my seeds are called 'wild oats', if you know what I mean."
He climbs up on the bar after an "accidental" fondle ("Sorry 'bout that. My fault."), and waves his arms to get everyone's attention.
It doesn't seem to work, and he shoots off a flare and raises his voice.
"Ahem!"
"That's better."
"I was just up by Kaer Maga, and heard a group of Pathfinders needs some help against 'fake' Pathfinders. Shadow Lodge, something-something-er-other. Not clear on the details. But one or two of you should go help."
After a brief hiatus, GM Crucible is moving to Part Two of City of Strangers (#52).
We've lost a player after Part I (real life work), and have a seat to fill. Tier 3–4 CORE. If you're interested, add your name to the sign up sheet, and Crucible will pick or roll for someone when he gets around to it (the next day or so).
Solomon Goodman |
"Hrmph... dropped my last set of new recruits off at the Red Redoubt and they haven't come back yet. That obstacle course must have gotten the better of em... and to make matters worse the Decemverate has thrown a stack of missions at me all labeled 'Top Priority.' Well I've only got one rear end and it can't be in 3 places at once, so I guess I've gotta flip through these and figure out which is the most pressing..."
Interest check. The game I'm running is coming to a close this week and I've got a list of scenarios I'm considering running next. Rather than pick arbitrarily, I figured I'd let you weigh in and help me decide.
The half-orc sits down at a table and starts flipping through a book labeled 'MISSIONS' and begins reading them aloud.
"Mission 3-21, Codename: The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment
Sounds pleasant. Seems like a nice place to relax. New recruits needed here.
Mission 5-99, Codename: The Paths we Choose
Hobnob with some real political brass... seems a bit of a waste of talent, but making the right friends and influencing the right people usually pays off in the long term.
Mission 6-03, Codename: The Technic Siege
Grrr... bloody league. Those guys can really get on my nerves. Not the sort of crowd I'd send inexperienced folk up against."
All of these would be PFS classic. I'll start recruitment for one of these in the coming weeks, so give a yell for any of these you are particularly interested in.
Diri Lizzenbettolze |
A gnome in a nearby booth hears a book opened and peers over to peek at what is being mentioned.
I missed the chance to play in 5-99 at GenCon when it was run, and it doesn't make much sense to run it for the local folks who weren't around for the previous factions, so I'd be quite interested in that scenario.
(For what it's worth, I could play in either of the other two, though I've prepped and GMed each of them multiple times...)
I'm Hiding In Your Closet |
I've played "The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment" AND DM'd it. Either of the other two sound just fine.
Peribras Sandlock |
I would also be down for Paths We Choose.

Oldmar swats the gnome's hand away from the woman seated next to him without looking up from his book. He takes a sip from his water glass. "None of that, now."
I am sorry to call this out; I don't want it to go unremarked upon here and so I am posting in the thread rather than through a PM. I appreciate the in-character post and I'm all for character flaws, but this I could personally do without. This Lodge very much doesn't belong to me but please be cognizant that not everyone wants that kind of behavior in their game, and the Flaxseed Lodge is a fairly public and eclectic gathering. I am grateful for all the games you run here and respectfully ask, GM to GM, that you take care to ensure everyone feels welcome to participate.

Who still needs to play a bunch of Aspis in Serpents Rise? Happy to run Core tables too :) still getting those Specials up (le sigh)
I'm curious as to how a CORE run would work for that, actually. Count me interested.
Also, completely blanked on the disturbing interaction above, if I'd caught it, I probably would have flagged it or at least let thread-runner know. Apologies!
Aznive Demiral |
A young Taldan woman looks up from her pulp adventure novel at the mention of new missions, suddenly very interested. "Did someone say politics?" Her eyes sparkle at the prospect.
She stands up and walks to the half-orc, displaying a fashionable green dress. She puts a hand on his shoulder and giggles while she points at one of the missions in his book. "I think you should take that one. Exploring forgotten crypts is all well and nice, of course, but influencing the movers and shakers is where the real progress is made."
I'll add my voice to 'The paths we choose'. This characters has a strong relation to Taldor, the Sovereign Court and Lady Gloriana, so I'd be very interested in playing that one.

I played with Scalawag, not too long ago, with my cleric Zora. Zora is a high-CHA, female character, but I have gone out of my way to describe her in exceptionally modest, chaste dress; very demure and severe of habits, without cosmetics or adornments; and specifically more likely to evoke sheepish earnestness rather than sexual interest in others. All the same, you had Scalawag hit on her, fairly persistently, and I was faced with the choice that I always am, whenever I play a female character who gets unwantedly hit on in an RPG: do I attempt to OOCly tell the player I don't appreciate it and wish they'd stop it, or do I try and be a good sport, try and take it as a joke, try and just go 'haha, well, that's how it is'? With Zora, I went with the latter, because it causes less trouble, and.... because it gets tiring, to be earnest and explanatory about it every time it happens.
See, I'm a woman in real life, too. And while I don't have some of the horror stories I've heard from fellow female gamers, I've encountered my share of frustrating moments at the table. I've had male players joke about playing footsie with me under the table if my feet brushed theirs completely on accident. I've had (married!) male players ask me out, repeatedly, after I've said no, to the point where I would hope they weren't in the shop when I came in. I've had male players stick their hands inside my clothes because 'a tag was sticking out, fixed that for you!' etc. etc.
And even with that, I'd say my RL experiences have been, in some ways, less annoying than they've been online... because, in the sheltered, gender-"anonymous" world of PBP, I've also had a female cleric of Calistria (who I strongly suspect was played by a male) sexually fondle, without consent or asking permission OOCly, my female dwarf, via narration. My dwarf made it very clear ICLy this was not welcome, in response. In the same game, the GM (who I know was male) wound up taking that Calistrian cleric over when the player vanished, and decided to run with the established theme of sexual harassment by making the healing of other party members contingent on whether or not my dwarf would agree to let the cleric have sex with her. When I explained I had OOC problems with that, the GM quickly backpedaled and said it was "just a joke." (Because, I guess, the idea of blackmailed lesbian sex at the risk of party members dying otherwise was just hilarious.)
My dwarf was an 8 CHA character who was in no wise described as sexy. But apparently it doesn't matter. No matter if I play rugged dwarves with no social graces, or clerics dressed as conservatively as orthodox Muslim women, the mere fact that they have female genitalia hiding somewhere under their clothing means that at some point, they are going to be sexually propositioned, unwantedly, without other players asking me first about it, and then I have to decide, again, and again, and again, if I'm going to say something, or Be A Good Sport About It. Because it's Just a Joke, remember? They didn't mean anything by it.
I'm by no means opposed to sex between characters, or flirting, or romance. But I do have to wonder if both Scalawag's persistent flirtation with Zora, and his characterization as a womanizer who would steal a grope, would happen if you were face to face at the table with me, if you could take it from the realm of anonymous interaction and you could actually see me, a real flesh and blood woman, sitting across the table from you, reacting to this. I wonder the same about the Calistrian cleric. In both of those cases, I have to hope it wouldn't happen, but I really don't know.
I'm not trying to dogpile you or harangue you into feeling guilty. I understand that you definitely mean for Scalawag to BE flawed, and that you likely don't think of his behaviors as in any way something to condone. I appreciate that. But I'd politely ask you that you at least give a few moment's thought to it from the perspective of the other side-- from the perspective of a gamer, a woman gamer, who does routinely deal with the risk of real world, low-key, vague levels of sexual harassment whenever I come to game, with the potential risk of worse than that, and with the knowledge that I have never made a male character who's been aggressively hit upon, but many, many of my female characters have-- no matter how unsexily I try and describe them. Please just think about it, and think about whether your portrayal of Scalawag as someone who will "sneak a grope" is that important to you, that essential to his character, that you feel it must be preserved in your RP with him, no matter how many times it makes somebody else go "well.... do I say something, or not?"
Thanks for your time, if you read this.

@Solomon - I'd be keen to do any of those three. Small preference for The Temple, which I have heard good things of, but I'd really be up for any of them.

In short, its still run with the same pregens etc, but apply the chronicle sheet to a CORE character. The problem with core is that the whole table has to apply to a core character. That said, I just ran two sessions and the core group filled fast and the normal group was slow to fill
