Well from this point on I'm taking teamwork feats and I think I already have shake it off as one and that affects myself and my animal companion so if you take shake it off as well that'll be a plus 3 when we're close to each other

Still here, just waiting for final aliases! And, no, the clan isn't dedicated to a single deity.
However, the Marid clan has a very healthy relationship with the churches of Abadar and Irori, and a slightly lesser, but still good one with the church of Nethys.
EDIT: Needless to say, Marids who choose to worship opposing deities openly would've been ostracized, and would not be a part of this particular family.

I too am almost done with crunch.
Tiefling alternate ability: 1d100 ⇒ 17
natural claws dealing 1d4 damage. Superlackluster as I can get these from class abilities and aren't using them already. Let me know if I can reroll.

Pitborn will work for me.

GM questions.
1) It is pretty powerful, but would you allow the Finding Haleen trait from Legacy of Fire? It does fit family members pretty well.
2) Did you agree to using a drawback and it giving an extra trait?
Sorry, missed some of this.
I'm cool with sonic resist 5. Especially since you generally seem to ignore people anyway, we could have it be that you're hard of hearing which is hidden by your madness.
I'm gonna say no to Finding Haleen, too powerful, especially at level 7; and it would be imbalanced since some of you are a single level 7, and others are copiously multiclassed.
And yes, you can take a drawback for a trait. But remember, only one trait per type.

You can reroll, or you can take the sonic resistance that your twin has.
@Riuk/Rogelio: And I know everyone's dotted, but it sounds like you and the twins are still working on finishing touches.
Post on here when you are for sure done, thanks!

That's pretty cool fluff wise. Survive on 1/4 the food and water a human needs.
Crunch is done and in profile otherwise.
Daphne Oleander Marid |
I'm done on crunch. I decided to take VMC Alchemist to fluff up her connection with the Oenopion school and so added an alchemist kit/lab and some holy water to her loadout. The option of a couple of bombs compliments what's she's doing fairly well and lets her help out on swarms which are generally arrow/SNA immune.
You remember all this, as well as your name, skills, and education. You don’t remember why you and your family are laid out on the road, or what road it is. You don’t remember why you’re wearing the Black and Gold of the Nexian military. You don’t even remember who these strange people were who lie dead around you.

Folks, I had a minor adjustment on my spells known due to an error on my part. I worked it out with the GM. I do not have adhesive spittle or windy escape. I do have wave shield. Should make no real difference on how I play the character.
GM, another question. SLA's -
Some GM's have ruled they have no somatic, verbal, or material components therefore they could be used while paralyzed and conscious.
Some GM's have ruled they have no somatic, verbal, or material components yet still can NOT be used if paralyzed.
Some GM's have ruled they DO have somatic, verbal, or material components therefore they obviously can't be used while paralyzed.
What is your ruling? (I'm fine either way, just want to know.)
Daphne Oleander Marid |
Tense. Useful time to crit, hopefully we can clean up our backline, (eastern ghouls) before the two chewing on the cat cause too much trouble.
The Little Game Master |
@Skutene, SLAs are spell-like abilities, not spells, therefore there are neither material, nor verbal, nor somatic components, provided you do not need them for the ability to make sense, e.g. if you have to touch something to use the ability on it, then you have to move to touch the thing, and can therefore not cast it while paralyzed, etc.
sound fair?

Sounds perfectly fair to me. So how would you rule on this one?
At 1st level, as a standard action, you can create a 15-foot-long, animated vine that springs from your hand. This vine lasts for 1 round and can be used to make a single disarm, steal, or trip combat maneuver, using your sorcerer level plus your Charisma modifier in place of your normal CMB. You can use this power a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.
Can I use this while I'm still paralyzed? My first guess would be 'no' since it says they spring from the hands, but thought I'd check.
The Little Game Master |
Hm...if you're not opposed to involved restrictions read the spoiler below. Otherwise, just go with no.
First, your hand must be open to air for the ability to work. Second, anyone you can't see (or sense with scent or other ability that allows you to know where enemies are without seeing them) can't be attacked with such an ability.

It doesn't specify you have to aim your hand.
The Little Game Master |
Which is why in the restrictions, I only say the hand has to be open. Otherwise you can't make anything come out of it...

Totally forgot these guys are supposed to explode and make you sick when you kill them...oh well, these are special dudes...
Also, I was reading it wrong, the "two saves to cure" thing was on the illness brought on by the explosion. That one was consecutive.
Also, the paralysis is supernatural, not poisonous.
I totally effed this one up guys, so here's what we're going to do in order to rectify the situation without retconning:
These are new, special made-up ghouls. Paralysis still lasts as long as I roll/say, and two fort saves DC 17--consecutive or non-consecutive--frees you herefrom, and grants you immunity for 1d4+1 rounds. When these ghouls "die" they just hit the ground and stay there, having returned to the state of "corpse" with all that entails.
So, I've watered down these enemies a bit as an apology for failing to read their descriptions closely enough.

The dice roller hates me lately. Except for my investigator (on another PbP). He always rolls brilliantly, so much so that inspiration is almost unnecessary.

I think we're just waiting on the GM to check back in to the boards. At a guess he's busy post 4th of july weekend since he's not posting in any of his games.
The Little Game Master |
Sorry about the afk parade. Had a long stretch of work there, and a day to recover...
Rogelio Monteo |
I'm sorry is this game still going I have not seen any updates on my feed for it,.if it is and I'm sorry but this is far to long in between post with no warning so I'll have to ask to drop this game I'm sorry hope you understand thanks
Edit
I see the game ...might still be going? But I will still be dropping this game sorry again but it's too inconsistent for me...
The Little Game Master |
I understand. I'll roleplay your character out of play, so if you change your mind, feel free to come back.
Daphne Oleander Marid |
Welcome back. We're picking a direction to go, and marching that way hexcrawl style. I'm assuming we'll hit some flavor of 'shelter' but the specifics are up to the dm's tastes. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity for us to have a dark and stormy night.
The Little Game Master |
Pardon the delay, busy week at work and I'm in a wedding this weekend. Will post as possible. BTW: does/did anyone else ever use the wayfinder app? Is it down? I haven't been able to log in in weeks.
The Little Game Master |
I thought we could all use a break there, and I didn't want Daphne to feel left out.
How's your daughter doing?
Malcon Marid |
Update on everyone?
I'm doing well. Enjoying the summer. Helping my grandpa digitalize his business.
Everyone else doing OK?
The Little Game Master |
I'm okay, I was getting the hang of my new job, and suddenly my bosses feel I would do better in another department...*eye roll* but that's life.
Rogelio Monteo |
Hay all how have you been, I wanted to ask what would you say to me rejoining the game...if not its totally cool, it's no biggie but felt like I should ask ;_; I would rather rebuild the character I had for this game but If I can't or you don't want me back in the game it's cool.
The Little Game Master |
If you guys are struggling with the sandboxiness of the campaign, just let me know, and I can give you an easier path to follow.
