SPECIAL ABILITIES

Constructed (Ex)

For the purposes of effects targeting creatures by type (such as a ranger's favored enemy and bane weapons), androids count as both humanoids and constructs. Androids gain a +4 racial bonus on all saving throws against mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poison, and stun effects, are not subject to fatigue or exhaustion, and are immune to disease and sleep effects. Androids can never gain morale bonuses, and are immune to fear effects and all emotion-based effects.

Emotionless (Ex)

Androids have problems processing emotions properly, and thus take a –4 penalty on Sense Motive checks.

Nanite Surge (Ex)

An android's body is infused with nanites. Once per day as an immediate action, an android can cause her nanites to surge, granting a bonus equal to 3 + the android's character level on any one d20 roll; this ability must be activated before the roll is made. When an android uses this power, her circuitry-tattoos glow with light equivalent to that of a torch in illumination for 1 round.

The suit would be a biped, most likely with skill focuses and senses and natural armor. I'll have those stats up later, I'd kind of like to hear from the players what they would hope to see out of the android synthesist and then tailor the "suit" to that. Also how will the resources work out, and armor and weapons the same?

Should be good now.

Okeys. Scarlet is ready fer bein' looked over. (^_^)

Wishing every one all the very best.

@ SCARLET and Lady1:

Both of your submissions are missing some requirements for the construct build in this campaign.

15 point-buy for ability scores to balance no constitution score. (both of you have a CON, it should be 0)

+10 Hit points instead of +20 (add 10 to your full HP per class. So a fighter would get 20 to start.)

You must use the robot subtype as you will have weakness to electricity and critical hits. (I don't mind if you choose not to take the robot subtype as long as you have some significant weakness as costructs are very powerful and...a construct will never die.

GM Gristle:

I'm following the build as presented in the "Inner Sea monsters Guide".

The build has a CON score. You've previously said you were okay with this....

Any clarifications would be much appreciated.

Very much cheers to every one.

They are Humanoids with a special 10RP trait that has them count as Constructs for Favoured Enemy and such alongside some Immunities & Bonuses. They aren't actual Constructs.

Or at least S.c.a.r.l.e.t. isn't.

ok i have hopefully narrowed myself down to one idea.

Plant race, (Bladebound) Magus

RP expenditure:

10rp plant
0rp medium size
-2rp mixed weakness (+2 STR, -2 DEX, +2 INT, -4 CHA)
-1rp slow speed

1rp craftsman +2 racial craft/profession with metal/stone
2rp natural armor +1
1rp improved natural armor +1

-2rp vulnerable to fire
2rp treespeech
4rp blindsense 30ft

The Vent'dar are a plant race of approximately humanoid shape. They have an inclination to create, typically only destroying things to recover component pieces or to make room for new creation. Their fascination with creation and modification isn't confined to objects, they often will experiment with their own forms.

The typical Vent'dar is slow and strong, with a body made of tangles of vines where humans have sinew and bone. It has shifting layers of bark panels to reinforce the outer layer, into which it has implanted metal plates of armor of its own design. The panels often have small branches from which leaves grow according to the season. Its primarily wood-and-vine form is highly susceptible to burning. On top of its form, in the place of a head, is a mycelium-filled mushroom-like appendage. Under this, in place of a chin, is its primary sensory organ. Lacking eyes, this organ sends out vibrations, which are picked up by a number of smaller spores growing out of its bark. It also uses this organ to communicate with trees with the additional use of pheromones. Vocal sounds are capable with this organ, and its many spores function as aural receivers.

Vent'dar lack mouths, instead they take food and drink items and slide them under their panels of bark to be mechanically digested into a paste during movement. The paste is then digested as it decomposes. This gives Vent'dar a smell that typically only farmers can appreciate.

I am currently making a Plant Race where each member is a Hive Mind called Vant'id-ar (can't get the accents right now).

If anyone is interested I can probably get it up soon.

NOTE: Vant'id-ar is Gaeiac for "Forest of Souls".

ah. i couldnt come up with a name so i shuffled the letters of "verdant" around and added an apostrophe to be exotic. i'll try to come up with a different name.

Oh you are fine. I was actually typing my post before I seen yours...

If you want I can give you a quick breakdown of the race...

I just realized I should specify that they are playtested and I am just finishing the updates. They are 14 RP and are very funny inn the right hands for RP'ing.

are you playing it in this game?

I have to many race/class combos I want to play so it is better for me to set out otherwise I might pop a blood vessel...

I think the one I really wanna play sometime is a Garif-based Race I built as a Monk. Though I would probably give them the Advanced Stat Line for this Game as they are currently at 13 RP.

The profile is completed! YAY!!!

How come you didn't submit a character from this race?

Way to many concepts going through my head. And I am going to be busy for a while. I will hopefully be getting into a Reign of Winter-based Campaign. That plus my own campaign and the other 2 Campaigns I am a PC in. Which reminds me... I need to get back into leveling up my Fighter for Jehova's Arena... And planning Caedmon's Second Level.

*Sound of champing at the bit*

I truly hope to get the chance to bring the pain from the shadows as an alleydrake.

Not gonna lie if I was abducted by Aliens I would probably keep repeating that.

Grand Lodge

Getting closer! I'm still here, just so you know :p

I have plenty of great PCs to choose from. I would like to close recruitment tomorrow night.

“May the odds be ever in your favor” – The Hunger Games Trilogy

i'm about to crappily draw a picture with MS Paint. it's surprising how hard it is to find a plant creature with built-in armor in this wide wide internet world we live in.

As opposed to doing a 'Google' wide search for something 'Warforged' and working with that?

Change some of the colours up a bit? Just an idea.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Agreed, some times its hard to find some of the simple of things...Such as a picture of a yeti, with out the odd crop of porn that appears...Cause if thats a yeti I think we have been greatly lied to about the nature of a certain 'reclusive but hairy beast' lol

Sczarni

the guy on the left...?

or do pics for shambling mounds...

Ain't as Reclusive as they imply, eh.

Heck, Warforged even crops some up...

Just finished putting together the Callamore, sort of the Cairn-Warden version of the Drow Nobles. I'm figuring out the stats of the other castes as well. Check my alias if you want to see them.

here's my stab at it.

IMAGE

i think i could have done a much better job if i had one of those drawing pads, but i so rarely draw that it would be a bit of a waste.

Sczarni

try this out tenro Plant men in armor

lantzkev wrote:

Where did you find those!?

@Tenro: Drawing Tablets have a surprisingly high Learning Curve. Or at least the Bamboo Tablets do.

Sczarni

I went to images.google.com and then key'd in a few searches, when I saw his stab at it, I then did a search for treant in armor

lantzkev wrote:

those are pretty good. are those the sylvari from guild wars?

they look nice but i decided not put a human face or head on the creature, instead giving it a mushroom-style head. i figured it would look weird if i took a good picture like those and crappily drew a mushroom on it, hahaha

but yes basically one of those with a mushroom style head.

Sczarni

I'd spend my time learning to photoshop rather than trying to learn how to draw =D

Myconid..try that

Sczarni

megafauna...

LJ 447-LADY1 wrote:

thanks! that is very close to what i was thinking!

apparently these are already a monster of some sort, i have never faced one before.

I would say my character race looks something like a combination of the crappy drawing i linked earlier and the front-most creature in this IMAGE

Ravingdork has a nice Myconid Race.

I spent my time learning Photoshop AND drawing! Ahaha! Do I use it? Not really. Carpal tunnel and laziness are a potent force. (And the learning curve for my Intuos 3 wasn't too hard. I was 12 when I got it, too. Could be because it's huge and almost normal-paper sized.)

Ahem, in any case, I added some uh, not-so-light reading to Tenriel's page in case anyone feels like wasting time reading jargon, and Sir/Lady GM needed any extra info about Tenriel's species or homeworld in the pursuit of choosing PCs.

once i get approval for the Vent'dar's RP build i will go ahead and tack on the lv1 Magus crunch.

Vent'dar looks good. Kudos on the original drawing. I will update the list of approved submissions tonight for the last time.
