"I had never thought of servants in such a way before Tsoran. It puts a unique perspective on life. A grim one to be sure. Where are these Sharaans located? I confess I have never heard of these people before".
Amorial sips his large glass of water from earlier, he frowns as it has become far too warm to enjoy. "I have spent much of my life here in Cairnhein. As I said I find the lives of humans to be fascinating. Once my business is done I will head back to the Stedding though I am not sure when that will be. With all of the excitement in your world lately change comes rapidly and if one wants to witness it they must be near the action no? The axe is another story altogether. Who is your Master that he would trade with such far away people as these Sharaans?"
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel |

glancing further down the street, the peddler grunts Oh, those things. Pfah. I thought Ogier were supposed to be these peaceful things, caring for life and the pillars of kindness? Huh? Instead, they talked as if they were drunk and shoved myself and others out of the way, they did. The two up front were the worst; they just pushed and shoved, and if you didnt get out of the way fast enough, they moved you, or stepped on you. I think i saw a fellow get his leg broken by them, but i am not sure. I was to busy staring at them. They were mean! so mean, it was like the Dark One himself touched them. Ugg. And then this other one was carring a bag that looked big enough to hold someone. slung over its shoulder like a duffel.
"That is unusual behaviour for a Ogier to be sure. Where did they go? I heard they entered a mansion? Whose mansion was it?"
RIZZENMAGNUS |
rhoekk
Casting a fearful glance up at rhoekk, the peddler cringes I know not, sir. I was too afraid to watch which house they entered. Best I can tell you it was either the mansion of Lord Sneed, or Lord Jareen.
tesliin and group
As you move down the street, A'mar's disembodied head, sword and shield draw alot of commotion. Alot of pointing and shouting at the strangeness of the sight starts to emerge. Oh look, a Warder! and A warder?! An Aes Sedai must be near by, RUN!!. But one shout catches everyones attention Get the Whitecloaks! Get the Children of Light! They just passed here a couple minutes ago!
amorial
The Sharaans are located beyond the Aiel Waste. But we dont travel through that, instead choosing to travel by sea to those distant lands. But, no matter the perclivities of that land, the wealth generated by bringing items back from there is worth more than any moral or ethical value.
Listening to Amorial, Tsoran nods along with him. Another story for the axe, well that sounds most fascinating. Perhaps another day. As for my master, Well, i only have one master, and He doesn't like to be talked about. So i guess we both have our secrets. He finishes with a twinkle in his eye.
Before Amorial can respond, one of the Inn's servants comes walking up in a rush, his face flushed with excitement and something else.
Master Ogier, Your brothers are awaiting you in the main hall, and they have asked that you come join them.
Amorial Suth |
Amorial turns to the servant. "Thank you I will come meet with them forthwith".
Amorial stands and nods to Tsoran, "I enjoyed our conversation friend Tsoran. Perhaps we can speak again later. I should like to learn more of these Sharaans".
With that said Amorial hefts the axe and heads into the main hall to meet with the Ogiers.
Tesliin Sedai |
Tesliin takes a moment to embrace the source, realizing there's not much to be done now, while seeking the source she felt. "Joliar, unless you can still feel something, this way."
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel |
"Thank you for your help. Here is some money for your trouble. What is your name, peddler? You mentioned secret tunnels... do any of these tunnels exist in that area? Near Lord Jareen or Sneed's manors?"
RIZZENMAGNUS |
game on!!!
amorial
Striding into the entrance hall, Amorial sees two fellow Ogier standing before him. Both are just a hair shorter than him, and have the same coloring, but that is where the similarities end. Both Ogiers are stand in the exact center of the room, a feeling of menace flows out of them. The image of a tightly wound spring just the precise moment from release comes to Amorial's mind, but is quickly checks as he sees that the spring would appear slow if compaired to these Ogier. Muscles and tendon ripple across their bare chests, making the mirrored ravens tattooed appear to be in flight.
The greatest difference found between Amorial and these ogier are the weapons. Amorial stands holding his treesung stuff, the two opposite him stand with a sword belted across the waist, and a sling over the shoulders. A large shape glints dully in the light, at first looking like a block of metal, but slowly the eyes perceive it to be a dull looking axe.
Looking down at the axe in his hand, it dawns on Amorial that the owner of this axe has found him.
A voice suddenly speaks from behind Amorial. I am truly sorry about this, Amorial. You are a good man, but you have something that belongs to my friend there, and he wishes to have it back. I hope you do the right thing, for i did find our conversation enjoyable, and i would like to speak with you more indepth about Shara and the percieved slavery of this land.
Turning his head, Amorial is and yet isnt surprised to see that it is Tsoran that is speaking to him.
Rhoekk
Standing up, the peddler throws his shoulders back. Laaman, sir. Laaman Damodred, bastard brother to Laman Damodred, whom you know as Treekiller. And yes, some of these houses have smugglers tunnels that run out to the river.
tesliin and group.
Shouts for the Children of light race down the street, as people turn and scurry away from the headless abberition of A'mar. Some point and sneer, some curse, some praise the Aes Sedai, and in the same breath praise the Lord Dragon. Some kneel on the spot, praying to the Light for Salvation.
Pushing through this crowd is slow going, since many in this crowd have decided to blame the Aes Sedai for the extreme heat and drought. People give way grudingly, Forcing A'mar to push people away with his shield, turning more people against the supposed good nature of Aes Sedai.
Suddenly a loud voice shouts out Make way for the Children of Light! Make Way
Amorial Suth |
Amorial grins at Tsoran, "I have every intention of returning the weapon to its rightful owner once we have had a chance to speak about manners".
Amorial holds his treesung staff in one hand and the axe in the other just in case he must fight his menacing brethren.
Amorial turns back to the two Ogier speaking with authority, "I have heard stories of you intimidating humans treebrothers. Perhaps you are young and have little experience outside of your stedding but that is not the proper way to treat the little people. Now tell me from what stedding do you hail?"
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel |
"Your brother..." Rhoekk, normally unflappable, is caught somewhat dumbfounded by this. He flashes through a dozen thoughts and emotions. 'Did he know his brother? Was he there when it was cut down? Does he know why Laman broke the oath and cut down the tree? Should I kill him? No, Laman was the Oathbraker, and he has been punished for the crime. I want to know more...'
Rhoekk's voice is a bit colder and more distant during his response, "Did you know your brother well? I know the treatment of those born out of wedlock varies widely in this country. If you knew him, do you know why he did it? Why did he betray us? Why did he cut down Avendoraldera?"
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel |
Any chance that Rhoekk hears the commotion? It's a stretch, I realize, but Tesliin et al were meeting whatsherface at Lord Jareen's manor, and I was looking for a peddler last seen in the vicinity of Lord Jareen's manor, so I may be near enough to hear the hubbub, or to see or hear a bunch of whitecloaks racing by. Rhoekk doesn't know much about whitecloaks, but he knows they tend to cause trouble. The kind of trouble the Red Shields should be present for.
RIZZENMAGNUS |
Tesliin, jolial, and A'mar
With the angry crowd pressing in on all sides, A'mar leaps forward and begins to swing his sword in a defensive pattern, forcing many commoners to back away in haste. Screams and cries rise up as people leap to flee the angered Warder.
With the sudden vacancy left by the commoners, the parties eyes fall upon an even worse sight. 12 Children of Light are walking down the road, and bearing down on the group. With the sudden loss of concealment provided by the mob, the whitecloaks easily able to see A'mar standing there, Warders cloak colors rippling and changing like a miscolored rainbow. Standing behind and slightly away from A'mar is Tesliin, watching his back as he protects her.
One of the whitecloaks draws his sword and in a loud voice bellows
Behold the Tar Valon Witch! Behold the Darkfriend! Kill her!
rhoekk
Spreading his arms to indicate the push cart, he replies in a snide tone I am a peddler, Aielman. Aside from the small coin he would present me with at Bel Tine, we didnt sit around the table chatting politics.
amorial
One Ogier looks at the other, and only a slight nod is given. Focusing his attention on Amorial, he speaks, his words slurred to the point of almost sounding like humming We come from a stedding far from here. Drop the axe and step away from it, lest you get hurt. He statement is punctuated as both Ogier draw swords from sheaths, the rasp from blade and sheath echoing throughout the first floor.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel |
"Of course, Laaman Damodred. Your pardon. About those tunnels then; had you the time would you show me to one of the entrances? I would compensate you for your time and service."
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17
Just in case Rhoekk is close enough to perhaps hear the commotion involving Tesliin and the Whitecloaks as queried above.
Amorial Suth |
Amorial's eye open wide then narrow. "Are you threatening one of your own brothers? Never in all my years have I heard of Ogier shedding Ogier blood. Where is the Stedding where you were raised to threaten me when I simply speak with you about your actions? Your mothers would be ashamed of your behavior".
Amorial holds both weapons ready to fight these rogues if necessary.
Tesliin Sedai |
Irritation flowing through her at Joliar's words, she doesn't allow it to appear outwardly. "He is right, though" "Stand down. We have just arrived as well and have no quarrel with you." The words are meant for A'Mar as well as the Children.

The man pointing the sword goes slightly pale at the scathing glare Tesliin directs towards the whitecloak. Pausing briefly to glance behind him, reassuring himself that his men are still behind him, he coughs and in a voice with a slight quiver in it, shouts Charge!
Bracing himself for the impact of the charge, A'mar's vision is slighty obscured, as if looking at a fish in a pond after kicking up the silt.
Jolial, standing off to the side, closer to a building with an alley along side it, is surprised to see a dome shape itself around tesliin and A'mar.
Jolial, ill give you a free action before initiative kicks in.
Tesliin, you may do a weavesight check
Rhoekk
no, you dont hear the commotion
Laman snaps his head about Not so loud, you bloody fool. Just for telling you about this i could get killed. As for showing, Ha! wont happen. Glancing about, he leans in and mutters Meet me across the river, tonight, when the moon is at its highest. And be sure to bring a couple bags filled with gold. Once i show you, I am leaving, and you will provide me the means to starting a new life.
amorial
Not Our brother, d'ma ishavron. the Ogier speaks as both start to step to either side of Amorial.
Ok, i think its time for some initiative.

Joliar will stand back, keeping an eye out for any Whitecloak trouble. As they are focused on Tesliin and Amar, he will wait to see what happens and if he will be needed.
No action for now. An Aes Sedai should be more than enough to keep their attention so I'll wait and see what happens.
Also, as the only other one with "sight" on both threads, I say Kudos to you sir. This is going to be interesting. ;-)
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel |
"I will endevour to get the money you request. I, or one of my trusted brothers will meet you where you ask when the moon is high. May you find water and shade, Laaman Damodred."
Rhoekk departs, heading back to the Red Shield camp, looking to see if Juranai has returned from his patrol, or to talk to Geischel of the Goshein if he has not. He will report what he has found, and ask for the dispensation to give to the peddler for the information he has promised. He will argue the value of knowing about these tunnels if their is resistance; both in being able to police these smugglers, and from the perspective that if smugglers can use them to enter and move around the city unseen, Trollocs would be able to do the same by using them as well.
Once done with the Aethen Dor Rhoekk will head back to the inn to see if the rest of the group has returned.

Tsoran says from behind Amorial. So your willing to fight over some strange axe that you just found? Fascinating. myself, i wouldve just tossed it to them and walked away.

Rhoekk, i hope you dont mind, but i will RP out this exchange between you and Geischel for a little bit, since a massive combat is happening and i dont want to leave you hanging and feeling left out
Nodding to Rhoekk as he enters the room, geischel pays him respect in greeting I see you, rhoekk. How did you fare? Geischel asks, motioning him to a rug on the floor. A simple request to the Giashan brings in a teapot fresh from a fire.

round 1. everyone at full HPs
As if the suddenness of a ward appearing around you isnt shocking enough, a woman, an Aiel woman of all things, and a Wise One at that, hair cut short, a sway speaking of former combat experience, steps out from the source of the channeling. In a loud and cold voice, she speaks, demeaning the whitecloaks where they stand. "What do you mean by this, attacking these people in the streets? We Aiel hold this city for the Car'acarn. You have no authority here. If you have a grievance, with them, take it up with a Wise One."
As this Aiel Wise One steps finishes speaking, 2 men step out from the building as well, and step to either side of the woman. Swords held low in their hands, they each adopt a position best suited to them for fighting. One man stands tall, his blonde hair flickering and waving in the sunlight. The other man looks a little shaggy, brownish hair matted to his head from sweat.
For Tesliin and A'mar, they see this Wise One step out and confront these whitecloaks, but due to the nature of this ward, they cannot hear anything.
Amorial Suth |
"I care nothing for the weapon. There is a way to treat people and a these Ogier do not treat them the right way, it is my duty to teach the young and the ignorant the proper way". Amorial dies his best to keep his eyes on all three of these strangers.
RIZZENMAGNUS |
jolial POV
From your offset postion, the whitecloaks havent picked up on the fact that you are with Tesliin. And neither has the Aiel Wise One, as she berates the whitecloaks.
A man steps forward, his sword in his sheath, and steps in front of the wise one, keeping 10 feet away from her. Quickly glancing back at his officer, he speaks loudly We have authority wherever the Light is needed, wherever those who cry out for the Light wants it. And most especially we have authority whenever a Darkfriend he pauses, pointing behind him in the woman's direction, a Darkfriend like her is present.
Taking a breath, he looks the woman up and down, weighing and Measuring her. I take it You are one of these Wise One's? You are Aiel, and according to the Children of Light, YOU consort with the Dark One, practice hedonistic rituals, and encourage the use of the Dark One's one power, this Saidar. I declare you a Darkfriend and you shall DIE! As he talked, a fanatical look overcomes his face, loosing himself to his own twisted logic. With the final utterance he draws his sword, and along with him, the 10 other soldiers draw swords too.

Round 2
HP: Ogier1 44/44 Ogier2 -23/44(dead)
Spinning around, easily dodging the swing, Amorial Bellows out in rage at being attacked by his brethren and swings the axe at the Ogier standing behind him. His first slash cuts across the Surprised Ogier, and is quickly followed by another. Rage lends Amorial Speed and in a grand display of an angry Ogier, delivers a tremendous blow to the Ogier's body, destroying the collar bone, ribs, and hip bone on the left side. Lost in his rage, and not able to see the death already taking hold of the opponent, Amorial snaps the blade around and caves in the Ogiers skull, driving the body to floor with a wet thump.
Taken off guard from the impressive attack from the bookworm, the other Ogier takes a step back, and assumes a guarded stance, side stepping once more to Amorial's Left, blade weaving in a specific pattern.

As Geischel pours the tea and invites you to sit and discuss what you found, another Red shield steps in, a concerned look on his weathered face.
Geischel, I see you. There is a report of some of these Children of Light accosting oathbreakers. And it is a sizable group. Care to teach these "children" a lesson? a wicked smirk creases his face.
Putting his tea down, Geischel stands up. Care to join me, Rhoekk?
