I know it's the holiday's, but just to liven things up...

One of the undead creatures comes running down the hallway following your path.

Anyone who made a perception check greater than 15 is not surprised


What it says on the tin; Caffiene addict 20

While several examine the hallway the creature rounds a corner and charges the group.
Roll initiative and everyone has one full round of actions before the creature is within Melee range.


Human Summoner 5 / Dragon Disciple 2

Al steps up and meets the charging creature. He will cast Shield on himself before he arrives and do his best to absorb the blow and tear it to pieces afterwards.

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Aky backs up a bit and surrounds himself with a shimmering, starry suit of armor and readies a deadly anti undead spell Using Coat of Many Stars, AC 16, readying Disrupt Undead to trigger as soon as the first one engages Al

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Initiative

Realizing they are being charged by one of the undead from before, Hemlock draws his crossbow and whrisl aroudn to face it, "Seems one of them is a real go-getter. I hope there are no more that are coming across."

Hemlock will take a shot at the charging creature with his crossbow, IF he can get a clear shot around Alabaster. Otherwise, he will keep watch behind the ghoul and if another one appears shoot it instead.

Crossbow +1 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Damage = d8+2 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Oh oops...Initiative. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16


hemmic's cross bow bolt strikes true. It lands firmly in the creatures skull. However, that doesn't seem to even slow it down.

It runs to the group and charges AL

Claw 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 141d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6


Human Summoner 5 / Dragon Disciple 2

Al extends his claws and cuts through the monster's remaining flesh. It's speed surprised him, and he ended up using his second claw to push back against the creature instead of actually damaging it, to keep it from driving him back. There were things back there that needed protection after all.

Claw 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23, Damage: 1d4 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
Claw 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13, Damage: 1d4 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

As the creature rounds the corner Dash draws his bow and looses upon the thing before it closes. Once it is closer he drops his bow, and draws his wakizashi while advancing to slice at the monster.

Shortbow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Wakizashi: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

If at all possible, Dash will move in to flank the creature. If he can manage it let me know and I can update his rolls accordingly.


Al's claws and Dash's blades sufficiently eviscerate the creature in short order.

Have a better way to share.

Hallway picture

WIzrdly Workroom (jackal heads):

Two jackal-headed human figures in this painting are portrayed as if holding bronze chest—which is real, and protrudes slightly into the corridor! The chest is hinged on the bottom so as to allow the lid to swing down.

Torcher chamber painting:

This portion of the fresco illustrates an iron door that evidently confines some sort of a horrid creature (its clawed and scaled hands grasp the bars of its small window) that can be loosed to torment prisoners.

With the undead disposed of, Aky wanders over to the portion of the hallway with the jackal headed figures and chest. "Well now, this is interesting. Dash, come check this out."

The chest has a button up top that when pressed opens the bottom. Their is a very obvious poison needle trap that will go off if you press the button.
