I know I am looking forward to my d12 hit dice starting next level. And the huge amount of benefits I get in two levels. Until then I will have to make do with the most HP and a decent AC. I know a few other little items that should help with my tanking, but they are a little too expensive for right now.
It is kinda nice to be back online, but I am having a great time on my vacation. I have a good 4 driving days to get back home and I should be back to my prompt self by monday.
Yeah well, my prestige class has got a d6 hit die too, so my hitpoints aren't seeing any huge jumps. I would take toughness if I had any room feat wise, but I want to grab skill focus (stealth) and the first two eldritch heritage feats for the shadow bloodline as my next few feats. The first one is not so good, but the second one is essentially hide in plain sight with some minor teleportation tacked on.
Yeah, Shadow Bloodline is perfect for roguish types. I've already started Eldritch heritage: Abyssal for some nice Inherent bonuses to Strength. It's going to be really useful.

TCG, it seems that none of us know anything about undead, at least our characters don't that is. Now that I am pretty sure the fight is about over, is there a roll or something we can do to try to figure out that a nice bout of positive energy (like a healing hex) would cap these guys for good, or are we just going to have to learn the hard way?

This isnt related to the game but last Friday late NCSoft fired all the programmers at Paragon Studios, the dev team which makes City of Heroes, a superhero MMO, AND announced they are shutting down said MMO at the end of November.
Some of us still like being superheros and a petition to stop this has been created.

I played COH's when it first came out, but not for years since. I saw this story, but I think it's probably a business decision. No amount of petitioning will change that. No harm in trying though.
Agreed. No one is talking on the NCSoft side and no one on the Paragon side is allowed to talk.
The belief is this has something to do with NCSoft losing 6 million dollars last year and looking to make changes to show their investors they are doing something, anything, to improve their bottom line. Also they really dont give too much of a concern with western markets, they are a korean company, and they have millions of subscribers for grinder mmos like Lineage 2, the scant paying customers for City are in the 120k range.
Sad too because after going free 2 play City was still profitable and in fact had more new content and much improved writing since sits beginning. Apparently just not profitable enough. The whole Mot the destroyer line for level 50 players was superb!
Most folks believe the chances are very slim this petition will do anything. At this point, I think the best to hope for is NCSoft agrees to sell of the intellectual property to an intersted thrid party for a pittance just to be done with it and that the third party can continue to host it.
Considering Champions Online and DC Universe arent even in the same state compared to City of Heroes, it is sad to see such a great game get shutdown.
I'll sign the petition when I get home. One never knows.

It's the best way for me to keep the game going. Their called spoilers for a reason. If you read them the game will be less fun.

So Wes, the Ultimate Equipment guide is now mine. It's pretty involved. I got it because it had a lot of new stuff for magic items to give out but I found all sorts of nasty rules about cursed items and poisons and other nasty things.

I really that those would be harder. I'll have to adjust better in the future.
We are all still getting the hang of this. Every campaign is a bit different. No worries man, I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of chances to make it a bit more harrowing. I probably picked up a disease or something with all the saving throws I did not roll terribly well. They don't have to be that tough, they just have to wear you down a bit.
So i realize this group will have some bias, but I'll ask anyway.
How do you DM's pick loot? I'm considering just going random and Vetoing anything that seems absurd.
Most of my GM's pick things that the monsters would have and could use. And give it to the badguys and let them use it against us. Except in the case of something special that they want us to have specifically, like a holy sword or something.
Usually pick stuff that makes sense for the monsters to have or stuff that they may have been guarding for their masters. Sometimes have random stuff on previous adventuring corpses that people may come across in lairs and dungeons.
I will occasionally throw in something that seems fun, like a Boulderhead Mace but yes, what Circe said, stuff that makes sense to be there.
There better be a darn good reason that a holy avenger is lying in a cave just off the main well traveled road that no one hasn't picked up yet.
