Oh, man! I hope we finish before then. I'm one scenario short of unlocking ryphorians on my alien archive boon. Haha.

Julakesh is only capable of being a very reckless captain, bad pilot or a gunner. Despite her bravado, she's not even a very good gunner.

You have been warned! Haha.

If she is the only gunner she'll operate the big turret. If there's someone else also acting as gunner, and they're better at it than me (I have an amazing +2 to fire), she'll instead take the forward coilgun. lol

I think I can Captain or Gunnery, she can at least fire something, or at least keep encouraging everyone to do better.

Darkrunner could be good at:

* engineer (engineering +10)
* science officer (computers +10)

I suspect it would be best for him to do one of those two, but there is also:

* gunnery +4 (BAB +0, DEX +4, MISC ??) (even if not primary, I can see him jumping on a gun if we run out of engineer/science to do in a fight)
* pilot (piloting +9), but I see that this is kaylee's character theme (and she has +11), so I would gladly defer to her.

I can slip between all the rolls with the exception of captain. I prefer to pilot w/ a +10 score (3ranks). I will likely take up a gunner role to start if someone is dying to pilot and trickle to the other roles as needed.

Kaylee loves being Engineer and Pilot. I got to be the pilot on my very last mission so I'm happy to let someone else do it this time! She'll take whatever role you all think she'd be best at!

Looking at Ytchkn's sheet, I'd say she has a strong case for Captain (IMHO Envoys are literally set up to be the best at that by the system from the start) too.

I'm honestly not sure if we'll finish before I leave, but my responsibilities for Origins Tues/Wed have just been reduced, so I might be able to post a bit even while in Ohio.

Seeing as ze pilot is the crux of the operation, that will dictate when I make my rolls and such, just fyi.

Also, I plan on reporting this game as being complete with a date that will allow anyone who is trying to unlock the Alien Archive boon to be able to qualify for it. You should (and will) not suffer any consequences for my offline shortcomings in running this scenario in a timely manner!

So due to a medical thing, I'm not going to Origins after all. I'll post to keep this moving in the morning, sorry for the delay there.

I hope you all had fun playing in this scenario! I had an absolute blast running it for all of you! You are all, without a doubt, welcome at any of my tables any time! I currently have Ytchkn and Sigma's players requesting that I run #1-06 "A Night in Nightarch" (Tier 3-6) soon, so I may look at running that one for the upcoming OutPost PbP convention, and I'm open to suggestions for a second SFS game... ;)

Oh, right! So, there are two things I need to get from each of you - one of them I should have asked for when we started, so my bad there.

1a - How much Reputation do you have with the faction you currently have slotted for this scenario?

1b - How much Reputation do you have with the Dataphiles faction (if different from 1a)?

2 - Is anybody not okay if I date the chronicle sheets for June 14th, for purposes of the Alien Archive Boon? (You don't have to answer if this is fine by you!)

Also, if you haven a Promotional Boon (I don't think anyone does, though) that allows a reroll and want to use it on your Day Job, feel free to use it now, too!

Thanks everyone, I had a blast playing with you guys. I'd love to get in on Night in Nightarch but can't. Julakesh is only at 4 XP after this. Haha. However, I reserve the right to request 'Star Sugar Heartlove' when I do hit Tier 3. Julakesh is a huge fan. It's going to be so fun.

If you print these up, I suggest clicking on the advanced "print as image" option to make sure your character number appears like it should.

My sign-up sheet has been updated! I've taken the liberty of putting people in on the games they wishlisted (Sigma and Ytchkn, in this case), and I'll be getting the link posted to the open-recruiting PbP Gameday thread shortly.

With chronicles posted and this game reported, I'll leave this campaign active for another day or two in case anyone has any questions, but then I'll be marking it as inactive. Again, thank you all for being an amazingly fun party, and I look forward to GMing for you again! :)

PS - If anyone else wants in on a session of "Into the Unknown" (level 1 only, has the repeatable and starship tags) other than Meloriel, please let me know here or in a private message! With luck I hope to have that started in the next week or less and finished before Gen Con!

I'm local here to Origin's but still looking at next year getting a room on site so I don't have to worry too much about back and forth.

Room wise - its a lot easier and cheaper to get a room for Origin's than GenCon. We don't have the mall attached but your right in the heart of the Arena District in the off season so there are tons of food options in walking distance (by distance I'd say the most your walking is two blocks - less than the distance between Paizo land and Scotty's)

The last few years I've driven down, it hasn't been horrible, parking is about 12-15 depending on your garage per day. The only thing if your off site, get here early. Parking does indeed fill up, and every year we share the same 4-5 blocks with the Pride Parade so that fills in starting about 9am on those days.

It's a much smaller vendors space but a lot of heart felt guys and a lot more demos than I see at GenCon. It used to be that Origin's was "the Board Game Con" over the last few years doing both Origin's and GenCon - it's been shifting to GenCon for not only pen and paper but board games as well. Is sad but it is what it is. This year we've seen the resurgence of return of some vendors but not all of them. We haven't seen chessex in years, but Reaper has returned and a few others. The other odd thing about Origins vs GenCon is that some of your vendors will be interspersed with the gaming halls. Reaper, Malifaux, and others are where their demos take place. Same with Gale Force 9 and a few others.

So, I think we can safely close up this campaign thread - I plan on doing so in 24 hours or less.

Meloriel, Elektra, and Incendiaeternus have expressed interest in playing Into the Unknown, which I will set up before I close things up here. Feel free to invite any of your friends (so long as we don't go over the max # of players, heh) and have them drop me a private message if they'd like to join in. Barring that, once I have the quest set up, I'll be advertising it publicly looking for players...historically that means the remaining ~3 seats will be taken within ~3 minutes! :P
