OUT OF COMBAT!
After several seconds of silence / non-combat go by, Yargos Gill comes running up and has you escort him inside the tower. On the second floor, you find the Silent Tide codebook and the master abort code! Yargos uses fireworks stored in Nessian's workshop to fire the coded lights into the air, and from your vantage point in the Cairnlands north of the city, the dread fog that was just starting to cloy at Absalom's exteriors fades away into nothingness.
Though few will be aware of your bravery, by stopping the Silent Tide, you have saved Absalom from a potentially devastating surprise attack. Better still, you have brought Nessian and his War Hounders to justice. The Pathfinder Society gains the thanks of Yargos and his friends, and they ensure that your reputation within the Puddle District is deservedly enhanced. Yargos promises that he will be a friend and ally that you can call upon again in the future. Surprisingly, even Grandmaster Torch is seemingly impressed with your performance, and sends along one of the named texts you found during your time working on the safes as a little reward.
And with that, you have prevented...The Silent Tide
I'd like to thank all of you for playing! I know this PbP took about a week longer than it should have - I blame Gen Con and myself for that. As such, I had kind of already dated the chronicles for August 24th, so I hope that's okay by everyone. The link below will take you to your chronicles (listed by your characters' first names). I hope you all had fun!
Your Chronicle Sheets are HERE
For those of you continuing on to play another Core PbP game with me, the link to that scenario is HERE
Gwydion Flaxseed |
Gwydion takes a deep breath and lowers his crossbow, hooking it back into the sling on his backpack. "Well, Yargos," the halfing says to his fellow scholar, "I didn't know if we'd make it, but we did. Well done everyone!"
Thanks, GM! No problem on taking a little longer. I enjoy a slower game now that I'm a bit too busy to keep up with faster-paced play. I'll be there for the next one!
The Dire GM |
Oh yea, before I forget :)
Your Primary Success Condition was: The PCs recover the Silent Tide codebook.
Your Secondary Success Condition: The PCs both save all four of the captives in Act 1 and open at least four of the five chests in Act 3.
Well done, all! :)
Gene Tannen |
I've been in and out the last few days (though not GenCon) celebrating that fifth star (not really I was dog sitting and being responsible) so no skin off my back. Thanks for running Mike. Obviously you know if at some point you want to switch it up I'll run some too.
