Charlotte the Shroud |
Once again the creatures' attacks hit Charlotte. She feels her legs start to fail her, but the asked woman won't go down without a good fight.
Gathering fiery energy around her weapons, she throws four card darts with ashtounding speed aimed at the closest monster.
Swift Action using Degrade Resistance: Ignore 10 points of Fire Resistance per attack
Also Spending 2 Animus Points to Add half level to damage and 1 to ignore another 10 points of fire resistance just in case

Eldritch Fang Maneuver Granted. No witheld maneuvers left, next round we start with the expended ones.
Stance Fast Healing 1. Hp goes up to 10 after last round damage.
Maneuvers Expended: Time-Thief's Talon, Altered Penumbra, Degrade Resistance.
Glyph's Rounds Remaining: 3
Animus Pool After Spending: 0;
Finally only two weapons teleport back to me at the start of next round, the third and fourth are simply masterwork.
Olsson Omnik |
Olsson quickly assesses the situation, then sighs as he summons forth a searing blast of blue-white flames!
Energy Bolt: 9d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 5, 1, 1, 3, 3, 2, 6, 1) + 9 = 36
Fire this time, DC 22 Ref for half
Olsson Omnik |
yes, youre right. Ill switch that bolt to sonic, and hope it affects them or their weapons with the blast's ability to ignore hardness. The damage is also reduced by 9.
Sundakan |
Forgot one detail as it elates to Thetsu: The creatures seemed to absorb a bit of the damage from your punches. They're weirdly spongy, like a plant, and bludgeoning attacks don't seem to do as well as they should. Still killed 'em both though.
3d20 ⇒ (17, 17, 5) = 39
Two of the Mi-Go dodge the brunt of the attack, but the third is not so lucky.
All three seem somewhat scrambled by the attack, their aim thrown off and they're seemingly somewhat confused.
Your Sonic bolt actually deals 18 less damage than what's listed (it lacks the +8 and has a further -9), but seems to have disrupted their ability to 'see' somewhat.
Un(?)fortunately, none of them live t be hindered by it, as they are ripped apart and scorched by Charlotte's flaming cards, and the last is charcoaled by Dorla's own blast of fire.
One of the remaining six runs away, while the rest train their weapons on you.
Vs Charlotte: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Vs Dorla: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Vs Olsson: 2d20 ⇒ (8, 1) = 9
Vs Thetsu: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Although all but one seems spooked by Olsson's loud noise, and miss their targets entirely.
Damage Olsson: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
14 more damage to Olsson, which puts you unconscious, and deals 7 actual, lethal damage to your HP.
Olsson Omnik |
"Ooof! is all Olsson manages to blurt out as darkness claims him.
So, I cant find any reference to what happens to psycrystals when you fall
Olsson Omnik |
Alright. Then, Splinter fumbles around in Olsson's sash for his healing potion, and I spose thats all we/I can do. Next turn he'll administer it to him unless the creatures are immediately adjacent
Charlotte the Shroud |
As her two main cards reapper on her hands, Charlotte executes a flourish and graciously throws one to the Mi-Go that knocked Olsson.
A split second after leaving her hand, the flaming weapon seems to vibrate and a shadow duplicate appears, flying towards another of the creatures.
Using Reflected Blade Style: Next Maneuver affects a second target. Use same attack roll if any.
Using also Time-Thief Talon. Attack deals two times my level as extra damage and I heal for the same amount
Finally, spending 1 Animus point to ignore 10 points of Fire Resistance
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 5 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 18 = 29
Stance's Fire Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
I am unsure if I should roll damage for the second target too as Reflected Blade Style only mentions using the same attack roll. Just in case...
Damage: 1d6 + 5 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 18 = 24
Stance's Fire Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8

Thetsu |
Sorry, wanted to see if yall butchered any before my go so I could maybe hunt down the one that ran but these guys are a bit pesky aint they?
Thetsu goes ham on the Mi-go, leaping into a kick to the nearest group. His fury is only fueled by the site of one of his new friends dropping. Between his furious flurry of blows his body glows briefly with a blueish aura as his ki flares.

Charlotted and Thetsu work together to slay another creature, and horribly injure another.
Three of them fire their blasts at the standing members of this crew.
C/D/T: 3d20 ⇒ (12, 12, 10) = 34
Hitting Dorla and Charlotte.
Charlotte: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13

The last drops his guns and sets to trying to evsicerate Thetsu with its two sets of claws.
CLAW FRENZY: 4d20 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 4) = 16
...But to Thetsu, it's more like the flailing of a toddler.
You're all up again. Olsson, your healing potion takes effect at the top of the round.
Thetsu |
Thetsu bats the claws away and tries to beat down the Mi-go.

Charlotte the Shroud |
As her weapon manifest once again in her hand Charlotte focuses before moving, closing her eyes.
Just a split second afterwards, the masked woman moves with deadly alacrity, throwing five flaming cards as a cry born of fury explodes from her throat.
Using Time-Skitter. Swift action, gain the benefit of Haste
Also spending yet another Animus point to ignore 10 points of energy resistance

I seriously have mixed feelings about these rolls. On one hand, crits! On the other hand, crap.
If Charlotte is Attacked next round, she uses Altered Penumbra as n Immediate ction again. She teleports 10 ft closer and calls it a day.
Stealth vs their Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32
Readied Menuvers-
Degrade Resistance, Eldritch Consumption.

Olsson Omnik |
CSW: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 4, 7) + 5 = 17
Olsson awakes with a start, and following his first natural instinct pulls and looks down the length of his bizarre-looking crystalline crossbow, then fires at any of the remaining creatures that look wounded. There is a multicolored flash as the bolt is loosed, and the projectile seems to warp and shift en route to its target as it inexplicably picks up impossible momentum. When it strikes, it burts with a small white-blue shockwave
Is there a bonus for ranged attacks while prone?
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
Damage: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Extra psionic damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7
As Olsson does this, Splinter soars into the air with a miniature version of the same crossbow, and pantomimes firing like his master. A chorus of cheers all in Splinter's small voice echo in the minds of Olsson's allies.
Dorla |
Dorla digs out a potion of cure serious wounds from her pack and drinks it.
cure: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 4, 7) + 5 = 23
NLD now updated, as is inventory.
If there is time for more, Dorla sees if her companions need any potions, and if there is still time, she would probably drink more. She still has a lot of non-lethal damage.
Charlotte the Shroud |
Charlotte quickly moves to retrieve his nonreturning weapons before moving back with the rest "My head hurts like a b&+~&! What in the name of all that'ss loving were those things?"
Dorla |
Chirrup starts singing a funny little song about the great heroes and the bad, bad bugs. Somehow, he makes it sound as if Dorla did most of the work, but everyone knows that's just how Chirrup is.
Chirrup also helps Dorla to quickly drink her potions.
I'm assuming that with Chirrup's actions, Dorla can get in one more cure potion before whatever happens next, so I'm going to go ahead and roll another cure potion. I'm also assuming that Dorla's fly isn't close to wearing out.
CSW: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 4, 4) + 5 = 14
Olsson Omnik |
Olsson retrieves a stowed length of slender purple crystal from his vest and gestures meaningfully with it, then waves it a bit near his chest.
Body Adjustment: 2d12 ⇒ (4, 9) = 13
After, he grunts resolutely and nods to himself.
"Let's be wary, now; we got no idea what the 'ells that sound is. But we'll know soon enough, I'm sure." With that he begins moving forward cautiously, then suddenly disappears from sight completely.
why not? I use my racial invisibility.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Charlotte the Shroud |
Charlotte downs her strongest potion as she returns to the others. "I hope the noise wasn't thiss thing starting to fly away..."
Cure Serious Wounds: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (6, 4, 2) + 5 = 17
Olsson Omnik |
Olsson nods to himself unseen, and Splinter's small sturdy voice can ne heard quietly in everyone's minds. <Ill go look ahead, and return to tell you what i see>
Splinter flies ahead, also invisble, and returns to tell me what he sees. I continue moving stealthily forward
Sundakan |
Splinter can go ahead, but does not have time to return.
A large floating vehicle is headed your way, presumably manned by the two injured creatures (there is no visible viewport on the vehicle). It appears to possess two large weapons of unknown power or type, and moves nimbly (if slowly) through the hangar.
Olsson and Splinter are ignored by the machine, though one of the weapons twitches in their direction before returning to aim forward.
It appears in front of the rest of you and arms its weapons with a *chunk* sound.
Everyone is up. Everyone but Olsson and Splinter are in front of the vehicle.
Thetsu |
Thetsu goes ape on it. Swift Action to Pummeling Style. AC is unmodified now due to Enlarge Person.
Thetsu charges the vehicle through the air and starts beating on it with his fists.
Charge Flurry Kick/(Footstomp?)!: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30

Punch 1: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
Damage 2: 2d8 + 17 ⇒ (6, 1) + 17 = 24
Punch 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

10 rounds of rage, 8 ki points left. Total Damage before DR as well.
Charlotte the Shroud |
During the two 'healing' rounds, Charlotte's gets her remaining witheld maneuvers. This round she starts anew.

Haste Rounds Remaining: 0 (This is the last one)
Charlotte stares at the thing in disbelieve. One thing is fighting alien creatures that she can't comprehend, but the flying metal object...
Decided to at least try something, the masked woman focuses her energy and a shadow covers her. Not even two seconds afterwards, the shadows disappear and reappear over the metal object carrying Charlotte.
Spending 3 animus points to use Animus Rush and teleport there as part of initiating Degrade Resistance.
Swift as always, Charlotte immediately discharges a barrage of flaming stabs and slashes towards.
I am unsure if I should add the bonus from higher terrain. Anyway, Sundakan decides.
Degrade Resistance lets me ignore the 10 first points of Energy Resistance.
Right First Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Right Second Power Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Left Second Power Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Wow, what a bunch of horsedrekk.
After attacking Charlotte remains alert, just in case those big guns target her.
If Attacked uses Altered Penumbra. Stealth vs Perception to avoid the attack and teleport away, but still over the thingy
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33
Dorla |
Dorla adjusts her position up and a little away from her companions, if she can do so safely. Then she throws a bomb at the vehicle. (If she can throw _into_ the vehicle, she does that instead.)
attk: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
dmg: 5d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 4, 2) + 7 = 23
using precise bomb discovery if needed to protect companions from splash damage.
7 bombs used today.
Sundakan |
Gonna say no on the Footstomp. It's flying.
Thetsu is thrown off by the creature, and only manages a single strike, and even that absorbed by a shimmering field of light around it.
Charlotte manages a trio of blows, though they're of dubious use.
I'm going to say your Degrade Resistance works on Hardness (for the purposes of energy damage). Make me an Acrobatics check to avoid falling prone and taking damage after your teleport (you can't fly, that I see, so you're 20 feet in the air after teleporting)
Dorla manages a solid strike, though the fire seems to be of reduced effectiveness on the metal and barrier. On the bright side, she brings the barrier down.
Olsson?
Olsson Omnik |
Invisible to all, Olsson stares at the thing after it approaches for a long moment, then shakes his head as if to clear it. He raises one hand and brings it downn abruptly in a tearing motion. As he does, a great torrent of crackling electricity arcs forth from in front of him to lash out at the flying machine. As the blast strikes the thing, Olsson's invisibility drops, suddenly revealing him.
Lightning Bolt: 9d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5, 2, 2, 3, 2, 6, 3) = 30
DC 23 Ref for half
Sundakan |
Ref: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Ouch, that's gonna hurt.
Olsson's lightning bolt proves the most effective attack so far, shearing through the creature's barrier. Sparks fly from inside, and the barrier dims entirely, disappearing.
Olsson now knows it is weak to electricity, and takes 150% damage from it.
Thetsu, miscalculated its AC, you actually hit with the second attack.
Unfazed, it revs up its arm cannons, firing a large sonic blast at both Olsson and Thetsu, its two biggest threats.
Touch vs Olsson: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
Damage: 4d10 ⇒ (7, 7, 5, 8) = 27
Touch vs Thetsu: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
Damage: 4d10 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 8) = 23
Unlike the smaller guns, these guns pack a wallop, and they're not designed for capture. The nimble monkey manages to dodge the one aimed at him, but Olsson is not so lucky.
Olsson, 27 actual factual damage. If this takes you below the number of your nonlethal damage, you are unconscious.
Everybody's up again!
Olsson Omnik |
Olsson grits his teeth against the blast, blood starting to leak from his ear as a result of the focused sounds concussive force. He mutters a curse thrusts his hands forward, issuing forth another lancing bolt of crackling electricity! The smell of ozone permeates the area and Splinter appears on Olsson's outstretched hand, mimicing the gesture.
Lightning Bolt!: 9d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 4, 5) = 25
