Lyisillinyia watches Grigor approach her, but she reads his movement and before he can throw the coins, she slaps him with a claw long as a sword, opening a long gash in his left arm.

Grigor:
Grigor feels his body seize. The very tip of her claw seems to have broken inside him, and his muscles are contracting. -11 hp and Fortitude save DC 19, every round or else paralysed for that round.

Flushed and angry, her purple eyes stare at you, her voice booming in the cavern: "DO NOT PRETEND TO FOOOOOL ME AND ROOOOOB ME OF MY PREEEESENTS, OR OF MY MEALLLLL! KNEEL AND PAY TRIBUTE, OR DIE!"

If you wish to fight, roll your initiative. She's of large size and only Grigor is close enough to strike. She threatens 15 ft so expect AoO if you approach. Flanking can be done, but not with Grigor, as he stands in fornt of her and her back is against the cavern.

As you start to run back, Grigor freezes in place, his face frozen in an annoyed expression. The giant claws grab him delicately as the worm abdomen shivers and starts producing a wet substance that hardens slowly, her human torso bending so her mandible can pull it in strings.

"That present will do fine! Now run!" she says mockingly and starts to hum the song that led you to her.

A ball seems to go up her oesophagus, and she makes a rictus of pain before spitting a great white ball that expands as it reaches the other end of the cave, sealing it with a thick web. "Now you are all mine!"

Mireza is cut off outside, the rest of you are inside. Grigor can attempt a new save each round, DC 19. He'll need to save as long as the nails are under his skin.

Ought to be flat-out dark until somebody casts a light spell. Although I guess there must have been a light source in there somewhere already, since you all were underground and could see things without darkvision. Honestly, since the entrance to the tunnel is inside a dark tower in a thick forest, the prevailing light conditions should be exactly what they were before she closed off the tunnel, but I would guess that would have been shadowy and poorly lit.

Seeing their options narrow very quickly, Valiard groans inwardly.

Stupid Grigor. We could have gotten out of here if he hadn't gotten cute and walked up to the freak. he thinks, his thoughts taking a decidedly darker slant.

Not to say I wouldn't have left him if I could...

If one were to have been looking directly at Valiard in the moments where he drove his thoughts relentlessly down darkened paths, small tounges of grey gloom could be seen crawling over him for the barest of moments before he disappeared. But it would be more likely that you blinked, or got distracted for a moment, or your eyes were drawn to a movement in the halflight, and you would have missed Valiard disappearing as he moved throught the gloom entirely.

The wall of webbing goes up in flame and crumbles, opening the exit. The flames are spreading quickly to the walls, floor and ceiling as well though. The roar of fire and the heat of the flames bounces on the cavern walls.

Lyisillinyia, her pale hue turned to amber from the orange glow spreading around her watches with rage the flames leaping across her "hall".

Seeing the large shape moving toward her through the tunnel of fire, Mireza commands "dallineb," then scampers quickly out of the way.

Cast blindness Fort DC 15. I'm not exactly clear on the physical set-up: The entrance to the tunnel is inside the tower itself? If so, she'll want to move out the door and then edge around the outer wall, pressing her back to it, trying to get cover from the inside of the tower and then hoping the thing will keep on running into the open rather than sticking around outside to attack her. On the other hand, if she doesn't have the movement to get outside the tower from where she is, she'll move away from the doorway, once again hoping the thing will opt to get away rather than come after her.

Mireza slides to the outside wall of the tower and, as the worm-woman rushes out, casts a curse of blindness on her. From the way she slithers, it doesn't seem that the spell affected her vision.

Flames blaze and roar all around you as you part the smokes, making your way out the cavern and the tower. (-10 hp from fire and smoke)

A pace behind you, the flames move to the tower and spread as fast. You watch walls, floors, ceiling and cocoons burn and smoke rise through the forest.
