Khall Vesper |
Life Science: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Rolling in any case that it helps
Khall takes a look at it and thinks for a moment...I don't know... It might be something Swarm, but I've never seen anything like it...
Khall huffs. Likely we'll have to board to take it out. After all, Unlike me the Fleet has expectations...
Operative Ambrose |
Were we going to need me to pilot, or for this part of the mission we're being flown by a fleet pilot? I'm totally okay with doing the flying if people need. Ambrose just needs a booster seat. :P
Ambrose looks at the pod and tilts his head. "Hehehehe... It looks like a breaching ship, just, y'know, bigger than the normal ones." he observes. "Usually only big enough to fit a squad of troops in or some kind of drones, but that's... reaaaally big."

- Kit - wrote:Yep, smells terrible, and tastes worse. Vagoru insists it's supposed to smell that way, but with 0 ranks in profession: distilling, he really has no idea what he's doing.@ Vyun
When Vyun's brewing something up she pops her head over the pot (or whatever) sniffs it and asks, "What are ya' making?" If it smells bad, she says so.
Kit's brave and stupid enough to try the nasty stuff with you, then laugh over how bad it tastes. Over and over again. Thankfully it doesn't render me blind.
Bronen |
Bronen connects his custom datapad into the ships computers and sends a picture/video to Fleet command of what they are seeing.
Vultsubai |
Ambrose As I understand it this is our ship, no extra crew was sent with us due to its small size.
Piloting - If needed: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Gunnery if needed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
We have a Small and Large pilot, this is funny. Just have Ambrose sit in Vults lap as Vult mans a gun turret with his 10ft reach. lmao
Vultsubai pulls out his fleet issued Datapad and jacks it into Bronen's, creating a clone of what Bronen was getting. If something happened to his, then they would be covered in their briefing.
From there he keeps things steady as they go. "I can take a walk and board the Sigma from the outside. Maybe undock so we can investigate." He pulls out a small pouch and opens it. Pulling out a small comm device. "I requested some short range comm-devices for the mission. Just in case we get separated or need to spread out. I took the liberty of specing them out based on size, one for each of you." He takes his personal comm and places it inside his second skin.
Bronen |
Bronen glares and snorts at Vaultsubai as he plugs the basic datapad into Bronen's own custom one. He then storms out of the cockpit back to his own quarters. He leaves the door open though and can be heard suiting up and prepping his drone for its maiden voyage.
After suiting up Bronen returns to the computers to try another scan of the unknown object.

Vagoru's makeshift attempt at liquor may or may not have managed to result in actual alcohol. Probably not much. :)
"I requested some short range comm-devices for the mission. Just in case we get separated or need to spread out."
"Thanks, already got one though. Don't leave home without it. Suppose I could use a spare in case this one dies."
"If you want to go over there before we dock, maybe we can attach some kind of line. Then the rest of the group can cross using the line."
I don't have a way of maneuvering in space. I know you do... not sure it's necessary but it could work.

We're gonna figure something out or the seat's hydraulics are gonna wear out before we even get home. @_@
Ambrose clambers up to the viewport and looks over the station. "If you're gonna flyby, I'll just let myself out!" he says, grinning wildly as he plugs the commlink into his ear and deploys his armor's helmet. "I'll just jet over to an airlock and get it set up for us." he clears his throat, testing the comm's transmission. "We shouldn't dock directly anyways, in case there's a bioweapon or something."
The player might also have played way too much Dead Space...
Vultsubai |
Who is the ultimate squad commander here? Maybe I missed it, so pleased don't take anything from Vult as orders. He's just making helpful suggestions here as afleet officer should. :)
He nods to Vagoru. "Good, the equipment I requested is expendable. This datapad..."
When Bronen storms out Vultsubai watches him go momentarily, sighs before getting back on point. "... is a clean slate, to record our findings for the debriefing when we return. I didn't want the fleet to confiscate anything personal. Just keep that in mind." He says that with a bit of reluctance. When Bronen returns he's unplugged the datapad from Brone's personal computer.
Bluff: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Vult seemed thrown off by Bronen's response, he wanted to say something but was unsure how to.
If this is annoying let me know haha. There's a reason for these.
;)
When Ambrose speaks he nods when the Skittermander offered to jet over. "My Void Walking is slow. If you feel like going flyboy then I'll maintain here." He looks to Ambrose. "I trust your ability to make decisions, use the comm if we you need support..." He gives a jerk at the Stations AI hailing them, turning in the seat and responding amicably.
"Copy, Kask Station, this is FS-XXXX Do we have a name yet? requesting delay on docking procedure at this present time until we receive confirmation on Station integrity." He clicks his teeth before asking. "Be advised Kask Station, FS-XXXX is noticing an unidentified object lodged in your outer dome. Can you confirm?" He mutes the comm before looking to the others. "We will stall as best we can so Ambrose can go Flyboy. Any other suggestions?"
Diplomacy - With Station AI: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Snorri Forgefather |
Snorri stands with his helmet on for the first time revealing his full armour alongside his reaction cannon which he was keeping secured til now... aside from a brief incident where Kit tried to open the crate with a tub of "Big Al's 50% genuine fish paste" in hand.
He adjusts the medical and tool kits as well as grenades. "Nothing more than already has been said, but with that unidentified object has me thinking I might just have dressed properly for the situation."
A.I |
The AI says in a cheery voice, "The Kask Station's integrity has been maintained. There is a foreign substance in Beta Sector protruding out of our dome. Please inform me when you choose to dock so it shall be prepared for your arrival."
Vult
Vultsubai |
At the AI's response he normalized the comm's and responded. "Copy that Station." The Ai seemed uncompromised at the moment, which was a good sign. Not perfect but good.
"Kask Station, can you confirm status of Sigma Crew?" He hoped to confirm whether they were alive, dead or... Otherwise.
Did we get a map of the station?
If not / If possible...
As an afterthought he pressed his luck, hoping to get lucky in his requests. "Additionally, Kask Station, we are requesting a updated station map to reflect current station status transferred to our ship for datapad upload. Please include area where Foreign substance has spread and is being contained currently." When he mentions datapad upload he waves to Bronen. Muting the comm temporarily as he sets down the additional datapad he had acquired. "For your use Sir, fleet issued. Unless you want it on your personal Sir."

Khall slides extra clips and batteries into her bandolier and belt, donning a Heavy coat over it all. She slides her pistols into the twin holdsters under her arms and slides her Industrial Backpack on. Look, until we are certain this AI isn't compromised we will have to avoid Security Robots. I don't want to have one of you wounded because a Robot didn't recognize you, or you don't have the proper security pass.
Corerue |
He chuckles at Snorri's earlier comment. "Looking good. Hope your aim matches the outfit." He attempt at a bad joke to lighten the mood before he responded to the Kask Station AI. Tapping the console as the data package came through.
"Transfer confirmed Station, Beta sector confirmed." He mutes the Comm again. "Khall's right. No confirmation on the Sigma's crew from Station. But transfer is complete if your ready Bronen."
He unmutes the comm as he informs Kask Station. "Station, we will be making an approach for closer inspection of the Sigma, please begin prepping a docking bay for FS-XXXX to utilize."
Piloting, getting as close as safe to do so with the Sigma's current docking bay.: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Vultsubai starts the gradual descent, using thrusters only to maneuver closer to where the Sigma was docked. He mutes the comm again, leaving it so he could still hear the station but allowing them to talk without worry of being overheard. "Lock and Load, anyone wanting to go on a space walk with Ambrose better suit up."
Snorri Forgefather |
Snorri nods "Wouldn't be a very good priest of Angradd if I couldn't handle myself in a fight."
He presses a few buttons not wanting to speak over Vult but text should come up the screen. 'Crew status?'.
Bronen |

Bronnen nods and grunts in approval as he takes the extra datapad. He takes several moments to study it and then his hands deftly type a message on his own datapad that then gets displayed on the big screen.
We should investigate Sigma first. Begin information gathering from there. If there is infestation from station there is choke point at docking point for tactical advantage. It likely that effects of incident will be visible in Sigma.

Shoot I just saw it, your question was asked while I was typing.
AI continues, "Sorry for the wait FS, has to confirm where the other members are... Two members of Sigma crew are located in the Aquatic section of Epsilon sector. The remainder is located on their ship."
The AI says, "Docking bay #2 is prepared for your arrival. In order to inspect Sigma ship, you must dock, come up the elevator and then go down the elevator Sigma."
Vultsubai |
Seeing this a bit different disregard spoiler please.
Piloting to docking bay #2 if needed: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
"Copy and understood Station, maneuvering to docking station #2. Thanks for the assistance Station." Vultsubai types in the areas mentioned for the locations of the Sigma crew. "Agreed Bronen, looks like we may get some answers sooner then expected."
Two Sigma crew are in the Aquatic section of Epsilon sector.
Remainder on-board SS-Sigma
Foreign Substance in Beta Sector
Now that he knew that some of Sigma crew were onboard their ship he opens a hailing frequency in an attempt to make contact. "FS-XXXX to Sigma crew, requesting immediate update on current condition, over?" He motions to whoever was ready to tag scanner control. "Can we get a scan of Sigma, maybe it'll confirm whether the crew is alive or dead at this point."
Khall Vesper |
khall squints. walking over to the screen Kit is at.
Ask them what caused the damage to the ship, in addition check the logs ob how many crewed the Sigma... then if everything checked out we'll make contact.
I'll find a vantage point to keep support... she says, pulling her Disportan rifle out of her pack. for one I'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious as well as provide covering fire...
- Kit - |
"Looks like theres signs of life on Sigma after all," Kit announces. "Four of 'em. One human life form on the bridge and three more in the galley..."
Kit tries to find out how many people were on the original crew.
Computers: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
When she's done she also tries to figure out if there is any damage to the Sigma, including why transmissions might be down.
Computers: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Snorri Forgefather |
Snorri shuffles a little impatiently but gives not verbal complaint, he'd rather have at least an inkling of what they were walking into before they get closer, it could mean the difference between victory and defeat but after such a long time on the ship it'd be good to get out and about.
Vagoru Vyûn |
"First job should be to RV with the Sigma crew. They may have intel for us. Or they may need help."
Vagoru gets his laser cannon ready and stands by the airlock.
Operative Ambrose |
Ambrose gives all four of his guns a twirl before nodding. "Ready and waiting." he says, holstering them again. The Two slugthrowers change to look like toolkits on his belt, but the arc pistols remain weapons.
Dunno how glamoured weapon infusion works with security scans.
GMEDWIN |
The AI gives you navigational computer the correct and precise information to enable you to dock with the station. After getting closer to the dock, you hear the all too familiar sound of two airlocks making contact with a loud whissssshhhh shooooommmm sound. After repressurization between the two entities.
Your ship indicators confirm that you have achieved hard lock. The airlock opens, and a massive elevator lies before you. It is square, measuring 100 yards on a side, and contains a small terminal atop a 2-foot square pedestal that is 3 feet tall. The ceiling looms 100 yards overhead. With a start you realize that a small spacecraft would readily fit within this cargo elevator.
Please describe what you are going to be carrying, how much equipment and your clothing and such.
Operative Ambrose |
Ambrose wears his Graphite Carbon Skin Armor, a small tactical pack on his lower back containing his ammo, batteries, and healing serums, the two arc pistols on holsters strapped to his upper back. At his hips are the two slugthrower pistols changed to look like toolkits. He has a comm unit in his ear, and a survival knife in a scabbard wedged between arc pistol holsters and his tactical pack. He isn't wearing any civilian clothing over the gear, but the armor does have the fleet insignia and id codes embossed on it.
Khall Vesper |
Carrying what was described before, in total: 10 clips(90 small arm ammo), 4 batteries, two semi-auto pistol, 4grenades, and an industrial backpack, and My Dispotan rifle(In hand)
Khall slips to the side, hiding where she can,
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
- Kit - |
Kit wears a colourful mishmash of different clothing styles all layered in top of each other with freebooter armour on top. She carries her personal comm unit, 8 batteries and 9 healing serums in her cheek pouches. She has a thunderstrike pulse gauntlet on one hand, and a backpack on her back. Her backpack contains three more healing serums, her engineers tool kit, and her computer hacking tool kit. Her ears are pierced with a variety of earrings, nails, rings and other tiny knick-knacks. She wears her cred sticks on a chain around her neck.
Vagoru Vyûn |
Vargoru steps up to the airlock. He hoists his Laser Cannon with two hands and aims it at the unopened airlock. His Doshko is strapped to his back.
On his belt are four grenades (one of each type that I have) and a medpatch, along with a Starknife in a quick-release sheath. In a bandolier strapped over his chest are four spare batteries and four healing serums. On his back is a device with a grappling hook and a spool of heavy cable attached.
Vagoru looks at the others and nods.
"Ready."
Gear on my sheet is divided amongst stuff on person and stuff in locker. Leaving the hygiene kit and most of my rations behind since we will use the ship as a base, and those things are heavy.
Snorri Forgefather |
Snorri has his backpack as well as various pouches around his person. His greataxe is strapped to his back and he holds his reaction cannon with a flashlight attachment in his hands.
His helmet is one as he nods to the others letting them know he is ready to proceed.
Bronen |
Bronen has his thinplate armor on with helmet and everything. He carries his industrial backpack with a chord coming out of it plugging into the side of his helmet. He flanks the doorway with what looks like a robotic version of himself, horns and all. The attention to detail on this robotic Nuar is as impressive as it is unimaginative. Bronen wields a spear in his hand while the drone wields a long reaching pike. Both adopt a tactically ready stance to rush in through the soon to open door to clear the room.
A robotic voice emerges from the drone, "On your count Vyun."
A.I |
As you enter, the AI says, "Welcome to Kask Outpost Station, please pick up your identity bracelets at the console. These will enable you to have access throughout the station."
A small compartment at the base of the pedestal now opens. Within the compartment are (six, or however many players you have) small grey wrist bands.
And continues, “Please identify yourself while on board the Planet Kask Outpost Station by wearing one of the identification bands we have provided. You may then proceed to the station proper by making a selection on the terminal in front of you. Should you require assistance, the station is voice-activated. Simply ask for assistance, and I will be happy to help you. Enjoy your stay.”
Knowledge Fleet not sure which knowledge it would be if it sounds reasonable or Profession DC 5
Snorri Forgefather |
Snorri will take an identity bracelet but does not attach it to his wrist, wanting to be able to discard it from his risk. He peers at it a little suspiciously. "Standard stuff but I'm not going attaching it just yet."
Soldier: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
As they advance Snorri will be keeping an eye out for traps an potential enemies.
- Kit - |
"Whoah, Bro!" Kit exclaims when she sees the robot she 'helped' Bronen make standing tall and combat ready. "You got Ro-Bro up and running! He looks AMAZING!"
Then she scurries into position, with an enthusiastic grin on her face.
---
Kit slips an identity bracelet on her tiny wrist. "Why do they have to make cool things so boring looking?" she exclaims. She pulls a hoop earring from her ear and clips it around the plain grey ID bracelet. She eyes it, clearly not satisfied. She casts a spell at it, turning it from grey to purple with red stripes. Then she smiles.
Using token spell to change it's colours. It will stay coloured for 1 hour, and I will continue to be able to use token spell without recasting it for 1 hour.
"Ready!"
Khall Vesper |
Khall slips near to the bracelets and scowls. I'm not one for broadcasting my location... She says, sliding the bracelet into a pocket. I'll take one, but don't expect me to wear it...
She keeps an eye out... Wondering where everyone is...Best be going to the sigma now...
Operative Ambrose |
Ambrose takes the wristband, and closes it around one of his wrists. Not that it was that hard to slip out of if he wanted.
"Yeah. Let's go." he says.
Khall Vesper |
Khall frowns... Now that's suspicious... But understandable... if this station didn't have security and was still under construction.
