At that, Froth moves down the street towards the scuffle. He takes advantage of his appearance as a large human sailor, moving with purpose.

Once in range he shouts out in his loudest booming voice, "Oy, you lot! City watch is causing us enough trouble down 'ere without you bringin' 'em down on us! Take it somewhere else 'fore the lot of you get shoved off a pier!"

At the giant sailor shouting at them, the Half-Orcs hesitate. Now that the numbers have evened a bit, and Pain has severely damaged one of their number, they seem a little less aggressive.

One of the not damaged ones remarks, "No fun for Trag." he points at the bleeding and sliced up orc, laughing at his "friend's" misfortune.

Intimidate successful. The half-orcs will disperse if you allow them to.

Raising his sword above his head, readying for the final blow, he hears the remark of a man behind him and halts.
After observing the half-orcs' acceptance to ending this quarrel he gives them a sour expression.

Staining my sword with this filthy blood for no reason, didn't even get the satisfaction of killing those curs...

He yanks out a small piece of cloth and begins wiping the blood off his sword, he glares back at the half-orcs as they trudge away, "You remember my face, and pray you never see it again."

He resumes his position in the shadows, refocusing his attention to the streets surrounding the tavern.

As they disperse themselves, Froth takes a closer look at the half-orcs. While wandering around armed was not that strange (he was doing it himself), it was not exactly common either. Sailors don't tend to carry weapons, and non-seafarers didn't tend to spend much time in this part of the city. As a result, pirate was an automatically assumed possibility for this crew.

Looking for obvious signs that these guys are pirates, as well as anything that might provide additional clues.

Once they've cleared out, he makes a note of where they go, but then turns his attention back to his companions. "Next step? he whispers to them through the whisper spell, but loud enough that the nearby Pain can hear as well, "We have a crew of chelaxian soldiers posing as pirates in one of the taverns; kill them first? Should we leave someone out here to follow any that bolt, and to give warning if that crew across the street swarms over to help their allies?"

The orcs shrug and help their injured member into the Krog's Grog. You don't see the same military sign, but the fact that they're armed might mean they're actually pirates, not Chelexian military posing as pirates.

@The Old Salt. Uncommonly, this tavern does have a bathroom, a small room at the end of the back hallway, past the kitchen.

What do you guys do? Wait for them to come out? Go confront them? Go back and Report? etc...

"Thanks for the insight. I'll move around and come in from the far side. I'll be the big one killing pirates."

Froth moves down a side street and then through the alley, moving quickly and rapidly outpacing the slow moving gang of mostly drunken pirates. As he moves through the dark, unlit space between the buildings, he shifts his appearance from that of a 7 foot human sailor, to a devilishly handsome red skinned Tiefling, with a classic devil's tail and curling ram's horns. He pulls up short after his quick dash at the end of the alley. While he is paused, he pulls out a sharp looking blade, and starts tying the leather straps attached to it, affixing the weapon to his tail.

As he is preparing, he talks to his allies through the communication spell, "I'll get into position in front of 'em. No doubt I'll attract their attention. When they're focused on me, you can get the ball rolling by striking from the rear. I'll be the anvil, bring your hammer up from behind them, and we'll crush 'em in-between."

How many of them are there, anyway?

He waits for the commander to identify himself and approach the front of the group, if he's not already there.

When the team attacks, they'll turn around to see what is happening, and that's when I'll strike!

When they turn, Froth attacks full force, invoking his rage, power attacking, and going for the sober leaders first. If any drops, he'll immediately switch to the next one in reach.

Ugh, sh*tty week. So overdue big post!

Froth steps forward and inquires as to the leadership of the group. The whole group stops, three sober and five drunks. Looking towards Froth, one, the only half-elf of the group, steps forward and says. ”Tone down the accent mate. I’m in charge.” The two other sober ones step up near their leader to hear this conversation.

Alexander blasts colour at the group.

The burst hits three of the drunks, though one of them is so drunk that it doesn’t seem to affect him. It also hits one of the sober ones and the leader.

The second the blast hits, Froth bursts into action, along with Rileng. The leader’s head is viciously removed from his body by Froth’s blade. With a red flash, the tail blade connects with the neck of the sober pirate to Froth’s right, and the man falls dead.

Rileng blows past, two now unconscious drunks and attacks the remaining sober pirate from behind. The exotic blade slashes across the small of the man’s back, before he can turn, Froth bites into the man’s throat. Gasping and gargling poison, he falls backwards, unable to move and bleeding out while being poisoned.

"Hmph. These chumps died pretty easy for soldiers. So much for the might of the Imperial army. Damnit; I was hoping they'd at least be a challenge. Did one of 'em ever get a swing at anyone? Oh well, guess that's the down side of an ambush; if it goes right, it's over real quick."

In response to Alexander's question he says, "Guess we should have asked the chief if they had a disposible safe house round these parts for this kind of dirty work. Guess we'll have to improvise. Oh well. Give 'em to me, I can carry them without too much trouble."

"I TOLD you that no one would be able to touch me." he says with a smug smile, "Those left aren't going to bother with a guy like me when you're standing there far scarier than me."

"Drunks hardly make for tactful opponents. Anyone with sense would kill you first and run from Froth. Now if you don't mind being seen at the sight of a slaughter. Start looking for a place to get out of the open."

One little ambush gone well on drunks no less does not make you anything special or worthy of boast. As far as he was concerned their job was half done and they were no where near in the clear. Even in this place, multiple murders was still a heavy crime and he had no intention of getting captured or accused of any of it. After making sure nothing of note or use is on the bodies he has them piled and tosses a flask of acid on the lot. That should make things harder for anyone to tell anything about them, at least baring magic. He then looks around while searching his memory for a place to conduct their business.

Rileng didn't find anything on them? I know that at least had weapons. Someone with detect magic should use that after a fight you know. ;)

Any luck for Rileng in order to find us a place to go for our... interrogation?

Froth accepts the forms of the two men, taking a minute to tie them tightly before bundling them over his shoulders. "Which way?"

Kn: Local: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 Froth racks his mind, thinking of anywhere he might know to take the gents.

is the first guy dead? If not we attack him, of so we step 5 feet to the side and sincronizedly attack the next pirate guy
Virgil grabs a bottle at his side and drinks it move action strength mutagen becoming much more bulky and slightly taller, his voice becoming deeper when he talks as he strikes the next pirate "ahh much better, now then, you noble bastards, like the options I gave the cook, you have three, one, you lay down any armor, weapons, gold, jewelery and magic items you have on your person, and you can run away safely, two I kill you like the pirates and take it that way, three you run away without leaving a tribute and I track you down and kill you, your guards and your family, perhaps break into your vault too while I'm at it, or simply burn your houses down, and don't think I couldn't, you are rather public faces he says causally slaughtering pirates as he talks to the nobility

@ The Old Salt.

The noble's laugh at Virgil's attempt to threaten them. They are either to intoxicated to care, or his larger form doesn't frighten them.

Dryden slams into the uninjured slaver. He flinches and winces in pain but doesn't go down.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
The first slaver falls unconscious from his initial blow received.

Two nobles attack Dryden and two attack Virgil, they brandish well made daggers and advance.

Virgil's mace eradicates the remaining slaver's face. He drops to the floor, face down in a pool of his own blood.

@The street murder scene.

Glancing around, Rileng knows that due to the nature of the people that live in this area. Many are at sea for months at a time and there are more than likely many empty hovels in the slums that run along the alleyways aside the main road.

not the best of rolls, hopefully they aren't heavily armored, and are heavily intoxicated, because otherwise this could be mildly embarrassing

@The Old Salt.

Virgil bashes one of the Nobles in the face and his teeth fly out, he crumples to the ground. Virgil's monstrous bite is ducked by the second noble.

Dryden's first attack is dodged by the light footed young man but his second slams home.

the bite actually comes from Dryden, no damage this round, 2 damage to Dryden total, as he brings his mace down on the next noble, he cackles "have you maybe realized yet that what you've attempted is a 'bad idea'?"

Rileng collects the items he finds on the men. They could go through them in detail later, the syndicate would get their cut before anything. He for one was not going to short change them in anyway.

"Most of these houses should be empty. We find one and drag all of them into it. A blood stain on the street is more common then bodies and should not draw any attention to the area."

@ The Old Salt.

Virgil cracks another noble in the temple, he staggers but doesn't fall.

Dryden's bite and first slam are dodged by the nimble lad, who is now mockingly taunting you. "Son of a whore, this is what you get when you attack your betters!"

Dryden's second slam rocks him in the stomach.

Attack VS Virgil: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Dryden dodges both attacks with metallic shift.

@On the Street.

To the west, dark alley awaits, creaking wood shanties with no candles fill the tight space. Rags cover windows and blow in the evening breeze.

Poking a head in, Alexander says "Port inspection!" and waits for a few moments for an answer. None comes. Giving the all clear, Rileng and Froth drag the unconscious drunks into the hut.

Do you guys mind me doing this kind of thing once in awhile to move the story along?
