Monsalbum
The island of Monsalbum is where we begin our journey. In the large sprawling capital port city of Monsulla. To the east across the final twenty miles of the Arcadian Ocean lies the Inner Sea.
Monsulla is a bustling jam packed place with the busiest port for a thousand miles down any coastline, here trade is king, with the exception of King Wolder of course. The port is marked by pier after pier with many warehouses and little sailor pubs along the coast. As one heads inland the warehouse district ends and the Grand Bazaar begins. A five square mile expanse of shops and stands, inns and hawkers. Street urchins run in droves and fortunes are won and lost at the gambling halls.

Beyond the markets are the massive neighborhoods, from shanties and hovels up to small mansions and merchants compounds all haphazardly added and destroyed and added as the sprawling cityscape changes. Beyond that are the Nobles Villas and the King's Castle. But above it all are the white mountains, the silver falls whose rivers run through the city and whose beauty masks the brutality of the salt mines contained within.

The Dark Ones and what you know of them:

The Shadow Syndicate: The Syndicate is the invisible hand on the throat and in the pocket of every person in Monsalbum. No illegal trafficking, or shady enterprize is free from their cut. Their services for sale, they are employed by all sides in the constant struggle for position and profit.

And at their head sit the Dark Ones. Mythical figures that very few have any detail about. The only information known to all Syndicate members is The Dark Titles, names of the Dark Ones that few can put to faces or actual names. None know if the titles are mantles taken up by new members or if the Dark One's are eternal and the original.
