The Damned Reborn (Inactive)

Game Master Aiunder

The mere mention of your name brings fear to commoners and even nobles in their walled and guarded manors are nervous when your name is heard.
Well that was true until you died.

Great idea on alternate alias for the mount. Probably should make one for Dreadmaul.

And rough start to it be done.

Question 5: What do you as a player bring to this digital table?

I bring the ability to think tactically with my other players, as well as be a team player, even in an evil game to work for the betterment of the group. I can also post multiple times a day so that is a non issue.

Question 6: Where do you see your character fitting into the grand scheme of things? (classic party roll as well as ambitions and such)
I have not yet done the crunch however the Idea I have for him is to be a front line fighter, moving about the battle field controlling it as he cuts a great swath through the enemies.

Question 7: How would your character deal with this situation?
A member of a powerful thieves guild is in possession of something you need and you only have two days to acquire it before he/she leaves the city and you lose your opportunity. How do would you find them and get it from them?

Gather information on the thiefs where abouts, and offer him a choice at the point of a sword, give the item to me, or die, as I dont really want to kill him but If I must ti will be done.

2 What made you infamous? Lady Stalkignwolf is the most beautiful woman in the whole of Northen Korvosa. Her fighting prowess with the scimitar is also legendary. She served as a captain of the Korvosa Guards. However under the beautiful visage lies a bloodthirstier as she kills her enemies in cold blood after each battle. It is rumored she bathes in the blood of her enemies too. Up-risers within the army who disagreed with her also mysteriously disappeared overnight in the camp. 3 Who has suffered for your success? People in general around her. Her soldiers and townsfolk suffered in silence.

4 What caused your downfall? Ironically, her success caused her downfall. Even though her bloodthirsty and iron handed rule reached the ears of her superiors, they were able to ignore it due to her stellar success in the war campaign. They reasoned that someone has to do the dirty job eventually.

When the civil war was drawing to an end and victory was obvious for Lady Stalkingwolf side, they plotted her death as they know she do not have a place post war Korvosa. In the last battle of at the Jeggare River, her army of 300 men was placed at the vanguard of the army. Expecting reinforcements, Lady Stalkingwolf charged at the front lines of the rebel. Moments passed as her men were dying beside her, she was shocked as the Calvary from the Sable Company did not flanked as planned but instead the rebel's Calvary flanked her unit instead. She flew into a rage as she made her stand, it is said she brought down 100 men with her before a arrowhead found the mark at her heart. With the arrow protruding from her chest, she coughed blood cursed the whole of Korvosa and promised that she will return and wreck her revenge upon all who have betrayed her...

Betrayed Your rise to power was cut short by a knife in the back or poison in your cup....

Question 5: What do you as a player bring to this digital table?

I always love a good story and i try to bring it in my gaming group to develop the character due to the choices we make as a group. I can post multiple times per day too.

Question 6: Where do you see your character fitting into the grand scheme of things? (classic party roll as well as ambitions and such)

I Bring wit, tactical choices due to her ability in magic and sword. I can spec her magic spells to fit the group and advantage during combat. I see her filling in the gap between the main tanker and damage dealer allowing them to bring out their full potential in their roles.

Question 7: How would your character deal with this situation?
A member of a powerful thieves guild is in possession of something you need and you only have two days to acquire it before he/she leaves the city and you lose your opportunity. How do would you find them and get it from them?

Qns 7:
I will use my spells to influence a weak willed member of the thieve guild, probably plenty at dark alleys. Perhaps with a little vision of death or cutting off his fingers to get him to talk if he requires more motivation. Threatening to kill his love will also help; barmaid etc. to get me near the member either infiltrating or understanding how is that member going to leave the city. Through a secret tunnel, arrangement, ship etc?

once i got my required information. An ambush would be perfect, overwhelming his party with surprise and being undead get it privileges. Do not commit the mistake of explaining the process how i tracked him down, how i planned, how i logic etc...no room for error or chance for escape and reinforcement. Just kill him, especially when he says "Wait! I know.." Stab, kill, get the item and leave his corpse in the dust.

Question 5: What do you as a player bring to this digital table?
Well I really enjoy roleplaying and I am a very quick poster so I'll bring lots of good player-player interaction. So you'll get lots of well thought out posts which are true to my character, plus having a goblin in the party is always fun.

Question 6: Where do you see your character fitting into the grand scheme of things? (classic party roll as well as ambitions and such)
In terms of mechanics, he is going to be a high damage dealer. Lot's of aggressive spells and his scimitar will make quick work of smaller foes.

In terms of roleplaying, he is going to be paranoid that everyone is working to kill him, and he will be subtly trying to find out their murder plots (sneaking into their rooms, reading documents etc) but on some level he realises that the blade is influencing his thoughts, trying to get him by himself so he is easier to influence. He will not take any action against the group, he feels they help him stave off the blades influence slightly. But he is paranoid.

Question 7: How would your character deal with this situation?
A member of a powerful thieves guild is in possession of something you need and you only have two days to acquire it before he/she leaves the city and you lose your opportunity. How do would you find them and get it from them?

Question 7:

He would try and sneak in quietly, bribing people to aquire keys and maps etc. Upon reaching the memebers chamber, he would gut and kill the man in the most violent manner possible, leaving his entrails all around the room, and make sure that the guild knew that he did it, so they would stay away from him in future.

I am closing recruitment.

Anyone who has already applied but hasn't submitted responses to questions or story you still have time until I post my decisions. If you have questions I'll still answer them.

My only question is when do we find out who made the cut?

I'm chomping at the bit!

Boss, that's disgusting. Put my bridal down. Have some dignity for f$+%'s sake.

Tomorrow night most likely... Provided I can whittle down these interesting submissions that fast.

Sovereign Court

Question 5: What do you as a player bring to this digital table?

I bring a level head, a voice of criticism (constructive), and the ability to make concepts work for the group. Concepts that people call 'ridiculous' can be realized with just a little know-how, and I know how.

Question 6: Where do you see your character fitting into the grand scheme of things? (classic party roll as well as ambitions and such)

"I see myself at the front of the line, probably dishing out damage like a barbarian might with a two-handed weapon. Heavy armor? Check. Charismatic and able to talk for us also? Check. Not to mention, the agony and suffering of our foes as I pry their knowledge from their bones..."

Question 7: How would your character deal with this situation?
A member of a powerful thieves guild is in possession of something you need and you only have two days to acquire it before he/she leaves the city and you lose your opportunity. How do would you find them and get it from them?

"I'd simply grease a few palms, find out the homes of a few of their members. From here, I'd send my assistant to tail him to their guildhouse, scan it for entrances and exits, and prepare a plan of attack. Here we'd storm in, with a few extra hands of course, and corner them from all angles, and either force them to give it back under pressure of revealing them to the authorities, or just kill them all. I prefer burning them alive, though, for making me work so hard..."

Answers:

Question 5: What do you as a player bring to this digital table?
Creativity, cheerfulness and (usually) reliable posting.

Question 6: Where do you see your character fitting into the grand scheme of things? (classic party roll as well as ambitions and such)
Party support, buffing, face, spy. I imagine she'll be useful for gathering information when brute force isn't an option. She'll also enjoy any opportunities to learn information through applied pain.

Question 7: How would your character deal with this situation?
A member of a powerful thieves guild is in possession of something you need and you only have two days to acquire it before he/she leaves the city and you lose your opportunity. How do would you find them and get it from them?

Most of her actions are done in conjunction with her partner, so I have read his answer to this question.

Quote:
From here, I'd send my assistant to tail him to their guildhouse, scan it for entrances and exits, and prepare a plan of attack. Here we'd storm in, with a few extra hands of course, and corner them from all angles, and either force them to give it back under pressure of revealing them to the authorities, or just kill them all. Add in a little seduction to help with the attempts to find out information on where the item is being kept. Blocking/nailing shut all the exits we can find except the one we will use to get in. If the item is non-flammable I'd also suggest just burning the whole place down and then sifting through the ashes to retrieve our item.

After burning to death in celestial fire, she's become a bit of a pyromaniac.

To the part about reliable posting, this is my week to be on the reoad driving from east to west coast. I'll be checking the boards on my phone though and hope to be able to keep with everything.

After reviewing the applications I've made my decisions. I am sorry I wasn't able to pick everyone but I had to go with the people I felt fit best. Some were must haves after reading intros and a few only got in by the skin of their teeth.

Again thanks for all of the interest.

Final choices

Joy as Opal - bard

KMDCross as 'Unnamed torture specialist' - antipaladin

Akinra as Ezra - witch

Doomed Hero as Leon - antipaladin

Thron as Krovax - summoner

Arkwright as Mordecai  - oracle

Reporting in.. soon. I will post the character sheet to an Alias before the day is out.

Here.

The writing in this thread is top notch! I missed the recruitment on this one, but I will be following it.

thanks

I'm looking for one character to replace ones lost in this evil campaign.

The group is in need of a good fifth wheel character or a skill user but we will select based on the character not just the roll they fill

Current party is: level 6
Anitpaladin - frontline damage
Oracle of Bones - negative energy and undead armies
Summoner - secondary combat and pet
Witch - debuff specialist

DM - Arc,

I'm interested in joining your campaign with a Red Mantis Assassin Character. I have not read through the other responses to your posts because I was not sure what was intended to be read by other players. I thought it might add a bit of the unknown if my character was joining the party late.

1 Where are you infamous?
Never by name but in the Stolen Lands between Pitax and Restov.

2 What made you infamous?
Cutting his teeth by killing upstarts at the expense of each other.

3 Who has suffered for your success?
Many upstarts who each thought they could rule the stolen lands. Little did they realize that their subordinates and others in the area had the same goals as well as the funds to keep eliminating each other.

4 What caused your downfall?
He was sent to the stolen lands in an effort to be stationed where he could gain no prestige within the organization because of his different way of thinking. He started spreading the word that the stolen lands could be easily taken over. He turned this in to a plan to create a reason to be hired for kills and making a name for himself. Eventually, those who sent him to this place to be ignored were irritated by the prestige he was receiving. Ultimately, they betrayed him and poisoned this rising star in the organization.

This is his impression anyway, it may have been because of his divergence from the fundamentals of the Red Mantis Assassins. Despite their rules he was willing to commit acts of thievery and espionage in addition to his worship of he who walks in blood.

Question 5: What do you as a player bring to this digital table?
I've never played a digital game before but I hope to bring my table top experience and carry it over to the digital world and see how it plays it out. I enjoy character building, character development, and inter party role playing and hope to carry this over as well. In all fairness, I will mention that I am not sure what the time commitment will be for this or how the rules fully work and differ from table top but I look forward to trying to make it work.

Question 6: Where do you see your character fitting into the grand scheme of things? (classic party roll as well as ambitions and such)
He fills the role of an information gatherer, scout, and silent killer. His ambitions and goals are to pick up where he left off. He wishes to seek vengeance upon those who betrayed him and build a better Red Mantis organization, one that not only focuses on assassination but also on other forms of espionage.

Question 7: How would your character deal with this situation?
A member of a powerful thieves guild is in possession of something you need and you only have two days to acquire it before he/she leaves the city and you lose your opportunity. How do would you find them and get it from them?

Answer 7:
He would use his social skills to gather information and attempt to locate the thief as well as assess his strength level. Depending on his strength level he would either attempt to steal the item or kill the thief and take it.

If you need any more or other details just let me know.

Wow there's an opening. Intrested. will apply if I can see i got any ideas. So Joy left eh..ok I will see if i can come out with something. I am thinking of a Evil Monk with a whip.

Hi DM Arc,

I realised i did apply before and she is a bard. A dawnflower Dervish, maybe I can repec her to a geisha. let me know what you think.

i think remember that submission, the bard general?

I really liked the idea of the character

Yeah the Bard General who got betrayed.

Since you allowed leadership feat (sorry peeped at discussion) i think its perfect to have 1 or 2 cohort.

Shadow Lodge

Hi, did a very rouge write up. need to refine it further. A level 6 Arcen duelist bard

Grand Lodge

Just saw this thread, thinking a Tengu Swordmaster rogue, Xiakon "Blood Beak"

1)Where are you Infamous? Brevoy and The River kingdoms

2)What made you Infamous? He studied in the frigid nation on behest of his clan. He learned the ways of the Aldori Dueling Sword in a school called the House of the Deadly Dance. Here he easily excelled and defeated his opponents. He was the schools top student. Than he was visited by a member of his clan, His sister Pazzari. She was taken by the others and they killed her thinking her a spy from another school. Xaikon snapped, his rage temptered like his blade, cold and emotionless went into action. With blade and beak he slew those there that night in the student housing, leaving there heads in the laps facing towards their bodies. He left this house of the Deadly Dance with just his clothes and his blade. His Anger at his sisters death wasn't statisfied and thus he traveled to the home of his clan in Daggermark. He killed along the way turning heartless as he wandered and became cold and effiecent seeking shadows and seedy areas to reside, and what comfort he got was from what ever coin could purcase be it food, women, books, and ale. Once in the Daggermark, he went to his clan, and took out about 6 fellow members, and with magic was cast out of his clan.

3) Who has suffered by my Success? His former School never recovered. Its noble backers pulled out sending the school crumbling into debt, and its students a laughing stock as the few who remained were tought
by any thug with a sword they could hire. His Clan in Daggermark, at the loss of a good number of their best warriors, where discovered by some loyalists to Zon-Kuthon, who enslaved them and torture them daily for there twisted rights. Others he had slain on the way still live in fear of "The Death Raven" and often put the fledging places to fright at the tail of this Carrion eating birdman.

4)What Caused his Downfall? having thought he was no longer pursued by his victims he sought solitude in a simple fly speck of a town in the Stolen lands. it was here he met his first brush with death and his true calling. Here several students lead by a former master of the House of the Deadly Dacnce found him and confronted him. Xiakon fought them all, he managed to slay the former students but found the former master to experienced for him to handle, The blade dug deep and with the bit of poison on it made him get to his knees. Xiakon thought this was his end, but the spry old master kept him alive. The Master a Noble named Lord Arken Rossel tried him in this small town and with the evidence stacked against him, the city decided to hang him. Xiakon, was than drug out from the court and quickly hung from the tree. It is here he earned the scar on his neck, and his permanant hatred of these vile nobles and this other good citizens. he hung on this rope for almost 4 hours before he died on the rope. Once back he began to plot and scheme on how to make the self possessed play for the crimes they commited, to make all of them pay for the crimes they did, for creature they unleashed in him, and the death of his closest relative his dear sister

5) What do I bring to the Digital table? This i am not sure about i have an abundance of creativity, but horrible spelling. A side from the fact I haven't done much Digital PbP style Role playing I am still a newb. I would love a chance to expand on this and with Xiakon, and this RP i think it can help me become a better player, and hopefully everyone can learn something through my fobles as well.

6)Where do i see my character in the grand scheme of things? Well Xiakon, is a hand of vengence and a finely crafted killing machine. I think of him as a killer. He is skilled in the arts of stealth, as well as intrigue. But all in all he is a survivor and a killer. he seeks to hone himself into a deadly instrument of death and little else. His true goal is to kill the Lord who had him hang, raise the town who allowed it, and than seek out other 'righteous' lords who wish to do the biding of justice and honor and slay them as well.

7) With this question, Xiakon would study his fellow skulkers and shady dealers, as well as inquire of them. he would than with his two juctions coming together his observations and his questions, lead them into a situation they did not plan for. With his trap set, and his prey nervous and paraniod, he springs slaying theses miserble excuses for thieves with his blades, taking the item, he than burns the bodies with what ever vail of alchemists fire he had, and walks away as the bodies burn causing just enough of a distraction for him to get away.

Grand Lodge

Will post the rest of him later on today

Grand Lodge

Have a rough block with him right now gonna post him here sometime soon I hope

Civilized Society sickens me. I am under no illusion that I can remove it, however, I can keep it in check. Culling civilization much like wolves do to the deer. It needs to be done.
I've learned that a lone wolf is not as successful as a pack of wolves. Where may I find such like-minded people who prey on society?

May I submit Bumple H. Fie for your perusal and consideration? Such a happy name for an angry gnome.

The questions seven are answered thusly::

1 Where are you infamous?
Notably, but not solely, among the edges of civilization of several kingdoms bordering the same untamed wilderness.

2 What made you infamous?
Encouraging the abandonment of new villages via disease, decay and death of crops, livestock and no longer healthy and hale young men. Reclaiming my territory with extreme prejudice.

3 Who has suffered for your success?
Surviving colonists, financial setups requiring raw materials from my "ward" and thier bankrolling agents

4 What caused your downfall?
Impatience with an evacuation. Destabilizing and collapsing buildings before empty caused some villagers to become heroes or hire some. That is when the tide turned.

5 What do you as a player bring to this digital table?
A desire to RP a badass druid.

Question 6: Where do you see your character fitting into the grand scheme of things? (classic party roll as well as ambitions and such)
The enemy of my enemy is an ally. To demoralize and destabilize civilized society. A prosperous city is a growing city. Battle environment control and debuffing the opponents.

Question 7: How would your character deal with this situation?
A member of a powerful thieves guild is in possession of something you need and you only have two days to acquire it before he/she leaves the city and you lose your opportunity. How do would you find them and get it from them?
Charm the rats, wildshape as same, infiltrate, sicken those I can who have been in touch with it, cause panic with a rumor of item causing plague. Take possession and wildshape out.

Background:

I could spin some tragic yarn of some tormented childhood or a vow of vengence and rage against some buruacracy but I'll let you in on when I got sick and tired of being nice.
It all started when I was an idealistic young druid, helping poor lost explorers, marking which trees for the woodsmen to cut, protecting the farmers' crops, generally everyone's
problem solver if it involved the big scary outdoors. Then it started to irritate me that my advice went unheeded, solutions ignored. Hunters and woodsmen took more than they needed.
Farmers expanded thier fields into my forest. Populations grew. Farmsteads became villages. Villages into towns. My wilderness, my home, got smaller. They did not stop. I realized
that these populations, like all flora and fauna in the food chain, needed something to keep them in check. They needed culling. I became that predator.

Trying to do the crafty and cunning killer, and Tengu are notorious inflitraitors, spys, and general assassins. I plan on going into Duelist or possibly keeping him the Sword master

And i was thinking of doing an Elf but, I am oddly a fan of the Sword master rogue archtype and tengu

Plus he likes to eat the dead, especially hearts, and has no qualms killing at the drop of the hat. If you want I could make him something else but was originally a Tengu and is now..something else but retains everything but his bite?

Yes I am.sorry in the midst of conversion from a player I did for another game. But it's just an arcane dueling bard with a shield and nine section whip. I planned to serve as a buffer and mainly do disarm and trips for the team frontline.

Just curious would you accept a harrower prestige class?

making the katana instead of an aldori dueling sword I'll tweak him a bit, and possibly a Dhampir fighter if I have time

Okie, Done. For your review.

The Exchange

This is regarding Bumple the blight druid.

Spoilered for neatness:

DM Arc,
Not sure how the Demonlord or the Green Mother would play this out with a shared pawn in Golarion.
Bumple would be pragmatic regarding his loyalty. As long as his personal goals are unchanged, why could he not meet the obligations of both dieties? Same battlefield, perhaps improved tactics, different resources and similiar strategy, only the end game of Demonlord vs Green Mother is where he sees a conflict. Quite frankly, all he wants is a return of the pristine home with its perfect fishing holes. It will never happen. Does it really matter who the general is as long as the enemy is the same?

There may come a time when the Green Mother forsakes him, he becomes an ex-druid. He hopes not but there are always options. Hell, he already died once.

BTW: Still tweaking Bumple.

Submissions so far

Malaki - Red Mantis assassin - interesting, how were you planning to build him?

Nightingale - Bard (arcane duelist?) - your profile seems to be made up of more than one version of the character so im not sure what im looking at

Critzible - I like the concept but I'm not entirely sure that a tengu would fit well in my game

Bumble - blight druid - intriguing, how do you see your character working for a demonlord though?

DM - ARC,

I should mention, I will be unavailable to post for about a week in December. Let me know if this would disqualify me from joining the campaign.

If I am still in the running, do you treat Sawtooth Sabres as finesse weapons? They clearly used to be before the Inner Sea World Guide but the listing in the ISWG did not indicate that anymore.

Here is a post by James Jacobs regarding this:

James Jacobs (Creative Director): "If you like how sawtooth sabres used to work—that the exotic weapon proficiency allows you to treat it as a light weapon... do it. Trust me, it won't hurt your game."

Build wise, I'm looking at a Fighter 1/Ninja 4/Red Mantis Assassin 1.

I'll build the character out once I know about the finesse issue. Either way is fine with me, I just want to make sure I build it correctly.

Thanks.

DM Arc
I am currently at work will post my Dhampir Ninja " The Widowmaker" when I get home this evening, than maybe a jilted Aldori swordlord after that

as long I I get a bit of warning before hand there no problem if your absent Malacki, I see no problem with sawtooth being finesse either.

I don't think the harrower prestige class would really work on PHP

Dhamphyr would work no problems there

Grand Lodge

Two Characters both human, First is a Simple Knife Fighter Rogue, who was took his moniker and stuck with it going by the Raven.

The Second is an Aldori Dueling Sword master Called Alisar Ronaild

have to post them tomorrow do to my device I am on and the issues it has with typing (IE my phone) So lets start with the Ravens answers

Where are you Infamous? Molthune
What made you Infamous? The Raven was once a simple street urchin shoved about by most other kids in these ghettos of the cities. The Raven though changed when he found a soldiers discarded dagger and made it his own. With it he felt the first taste of blood and vistory as he stabbed another boy and took his food. From there he grew to be quite a good thief and knife welder, even going to so far as to learn clever tricks to hide his blades. Soldiers and thieves began to fear the night in his territory as he would sneak up kill you and watch you die, the poisons and damage taking them out. As he grew tired of this simple kill and grab jobs, he moved on to more bigger capers, stealing from Quatermasters, taking the local tax collectors boxes, stealing Officers jewelry. All with leaving his signature calling card of a ravens feather, as well as a few deceased in the wake of his Robberies. He drew a liking to attack the church of Abadar, who seemed to have plenty of money and quite the heavily gaurded areas to infiltrate. many Churches and temples met his wrath. The Raven stashed his unwanted parts of the wealth out where any fool could grab it. The Raven though is most infamously know for his Successful pilfering of the masterpiece of Braganzas' church, its coveted copy of [i]The Order of Numbers[i/] which lead to a massive man hunt to find him and the work.
Who has suffered the most from my success? The Church of Abadar, and the Military of Molthune, as he defied and terrified the Soldiers and the officers, and the Church for his clear disregaurd for its temples, its vaults and its doctrine.
What lead to your Downfall? The Ravens greatest feat turned to be his greatest folly. In a tavern he rested with two recently slain maids on his bed he pressed his mark, on the front cover of the book, forever searing a raven on the front right corner of the book. Just as he pulled the ring from the leather the arrow struck and down he went. When he awoke his precious blades where gone and he was bound in a chair. the Military interrogated him beating him, breaking fingers and bloddletting him. He laughed through it all as he sat in his chair and smiled even as they pulled his teeth. Finally they figured after several months of torture that he would yield nothing he was put to a tribunal as he was a citizen of Molthune. He was quickly sentenced and than left to hang on the gallows for his various crimes they knew and for thousands more they did not know of.
What do i bring to the table? Same as above...(See Xiakon)
Grandscheme? He is a self made killer, who enjoys the thrill it brings, not only that he is an accomplished burglar. How ever he is always a slave to the blade, and seeks to better wield it and hopefully become better and faster with his "babies". See him sticking with Rogue for awhile with maybe a level dip into assassin for poison use.
And question 7?
The Raven, would find the guild and on the first not slip in and take a walk, as he does he will find the right members and drug them and pry information from them as well. Once he gets the information he seeks he will take the nessicary keys and codes and walk in get his item and walk out, leaving the place fighting smoke bombs, alchemist fire, and what ever other trap he had decided to lay behind aswell as a fire.

I am still accepting applications for now while me and my group discuss the best fit. Please stay tuned.

I've got another question or two,

malaki, are you a worshipper of the mantis or just a member of the guild?

Nightingale, why/how are you 7 1/2 ft tall? Did you spend the full point buy?

Raven, what campaign trait where you planning on taking?

Grand Lodge

Thinking hanged, or possibly smitten, leaning towards smitten though will post him tonight have to finish my math and yesterday was my table top game day

Grand Lodge

And just gonna let Xaikon and the Raven ride! Hopeful I bet on a right horse

He is a worshiper of Achaekek and a member of the organization.

If you are still taking apps, I'll put one together tonight when I get home from work.

Application: Drow hungry monk.:

1 Where are you infamous?
Under dark and most of the surface areas.

2 What made you infamous?
Under dark for killing a noble matron mother and few hundred deaths of some surfaces elves.

3 Who has suffered for your success?
Being a commoner trained by the houses weapon master in unarmed combat, Jinx got in quick trouble. Without thinking he killed his matron and is known and hated by most his kind. He got out of under dark quickly or at least quick enough only encounterring several others whom he disposed of. He hides under a cloak and tends kept to himself upon reaching the surface. After several encounters with surface elves, Jinx decides to prey upon them to repay them for their attacks. When they sent out a hunting party, jinx decided to hunt their families. Killing woman, children and elderly all alike. After demoralizing the hunters he attacked them and killed most. He didn't realize a few escaped.

4 What caused your downfall?
The elves that escaped told of his story and his ruthlessness to fellow neighbors and surrounding communities. It wasn't long til he was hunted down by his crimes. He had several adventuring parties chasing Jinx. He manged to kill a few and lose a few. No matter how far he ran. Although with so many deaths on his hands he got careless. Thinking he was an unstoppable force. He encountered a raiding party of his own people and a group of paladins fighting. Thinking he could dispose of them both he attacked into the fray. Little did he know they both knew who he was. His attack was short lived.

5 What do you as a player bring to this digital table? I enjoy rp and character building. I'm very active as well.

Question 6: Where do you see your character fitting into the grand scheme of things? (classic party roll as well as ambitions and such) his ambitions are survival and revenge. His hunger is unsated. Anything that will let him prey upon life energy, he tends to go with.

Question 7: How would your character deal with this situation?
A member of a powerful thieves guild is in possession of something you need and you only have two days to acquire it before he/she leaves the city and you lose your opportunity. How do would you find them and get it from them?
He would seek out his family and consorts, stealing their lives and energy till he knew where the thief was and finish him

I'll have roll up character after.

Hi DM,

Removed the body build portion and done the point buy, took a while to understand it.

Questions:

1 Where are you infamous? Korvosa. A civil war in Korvosa 4502 AR

During battles, she sacrifices her soldiers to achieve the victory as she believes the end will justify the means.

When the civil war was drawing to an end and victory was obvious for Lady Nightingale side, they plotted her death as they know she do not have a place post war Korvosa. In the last battle of at the Jeggare River, her army of 300 men was placed at the vanguard of the army. Expecting reinforcements, Lady Nighttingale charged at the front lines of the rebel.

Betrayed Your rise to power was cut short by a knife in the back or poison in your cup. Someone you trusted turned on you and it wasn't until afterwards that you could understand the signs and you won't make that mistake again. Gain a +1 trait bonus on Sense Motive and always treat it as a class skill.

Bard Spell List
--------------------
0-Level Bard Spells 7
--------------------
Light-This spell causes a touched object to glow like a torch, shedding normal light in a 20-foot radius from the point touched, and increasing the light level for an additional 20 feet by one step, up to normal light (darkness becomes dim light, and dim light becomes normal light). In an area of normal or bright light, this spell has no effect. The effect is immobile, but it can be cast on a movable object.
You can only have one light spell active at any one time. If you cast this spell while another casting is still in effect, the previous casting is dispelled. If you make this spell permanent (through permanency or a similar effect), it does not count against this limit. Light can be used to counter or dispel any darkness spell of equal or lower spell level.
Detect Magic- You detect magical auras. The amount of information revealed depends on how long you study a particular area or subject.
1st Round: Presence or absence of magical auras.
2nd Round: Number of different magical auras and the power of the most potent aura.
3rd Round: The strength and location of each aura. If the items or creatures bearing the auras are in line of sight, you can make Knowledge (arcana) skill checks to determine the school of magic involved in each. (Make one check per aura: DC 15 + spell level, or 15 + 1/2 caster level for a nonspell effect.) If the aura emanates from a magic item, you can attempt to identify its properties (see Spellcraft).
Know Direction- When you cast this spell, you instantly know the direction of north from your current position. The spell is effective in any environment in which "north" exists, but it may not work in extraplanar settings. Your knowledge of north is correct at the moment of casting, but you can get lost again within moments if you don't find some external reference point to help you keep track of direction.
Read Magic- You can decipher magical inscriptions on objects - books, scrolls, weapons, and the like - that would otherwise be unintelligible. This deciphering does not normally invoke the magic contained in the writing, although it may do so in the case of a cursed or trapped scroll. Furthermore, once the spell is cast and you have read the magical inscription, you are thereafter able to read that particular writing without recourse to the use of read magic. You can read at the rate of one page (250 words) per minute. The spell allows you to identify a glyph of warding with a DC 13 Spellcraft check, a greater glyph of warding with a DC 16 Spellcraft check, or any symbol spell with a Spellcraft check (DC 10 + spell level).
Sift- You examine an area at range as if you were searching for fine details with the Perception skill. Make a Perception check with a -5 penalty, modified as normal for conditions. No penalty is applied for distance. Apply the result against the DC for any hidden features, such as secret doors, traps, or hidden treasure. You must be able to see the area you are attempting to search, and you only find details that can be perceived with sight or touch. Sift detects only objects and features, not actual creatures.
Spark- You can make an unattended Fine flammable object catch on fire. This works as if you were using flint and steel except that you can use spark in any sort of weather and it takes much less time to actually ignite an object.
--------------------
1st-Level Bard Spells 5
--------------------
Adjuring Step- This spell creates a subtle and complicated force effect that is most effective when used by a still or slow-moving spellcaster or formula user. While you are subject to this spell, you can take two 5-foot steps each round and still cast spells and use spell-like abilities without provoke attacks of opportunity. This spell automatically discharges as soon as you make an attack, cast a harmful spell against another creature, or move more than 5 feet with a single move action. If the action that discharges the spell also provokes attacks of opportunity, that action still provokes attacks of opportunity as normal.
Touch Of Gracelessness- With a single touch, you reduce a creature to a fumbling clown.
The target takes a penalty to its Dexterity equal to 1d6+1 per two caster levels (maximum 1d6+5). This penalty cannot drop the target's Dexterity score below 1.
In addition, if the subject moves more than half its speed, it falls prone. If the subject flies, its maneuverability is reduced by one step (perfect maneuverability becomes good, good becomes average, and so on).
A successful Fortitude save halves the penalty to Dexterity and negates the possibility of falling prone or the reduction to fly maneuverabilities.
Dazzling Blade- Dazzling blade makes a weapon appear dazzlingly shiny, as if crafted from pure silver and heavily polished. In combat, the flashing movements of a dazzling blade become almost hypnotic. The wielder of a weapon under the effects of dazzling blade gains a +1 competence bonus on all Bluff checks made to feint in combat. The wielder also gains a +1 competence bonus on all CMB checks made to disarm a foe, and a +1 competence bonus to his CMD against disarm attempts made against the weapon bearing the dazzling blade effect. This bonus increases by +1 for every 3 caster levels, to a maximum bonus of +5 at 12th level.
The wielder of a dazzling blade can discharge the spell into a blinding burst of silvery light as a free action. The wielder selects an adjacent opponent as the focal point of this burst of light—that creature must make a Will save to avoid being blinded for 1 round (with a successful save, the creature is instead dazzled for 1 round).
Despite its shiny appearance, a dazzling blade grants no extra benefit against creatures that are vulnerable to silver.
Grease- A grease spell covers a solid surface with a layer of slippery grease. Any creature in the area when the spell is cast must make a successful Reflex save or fall. A creature can walk within or through the area of grease at half normal speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Failure means it can't move that round (and must then make a Reflex save or fall), while failure by 5 or more means it falls (see the Acrobatics skill for details). Creatures that do not move on their turn do not need to make this check and are not considered flat-footed.
The spell can also be used to create a greasy coating on an item. Material objects not in use are always affected by this spell, while an object wielded or employed by a creature requires its bearer to make a Reflex saving throw to avoid the effect. If the initial saving throw fails, the creature immediately drops the item. A saving throw must be made in each round that the creature attempts to pick up or use the greased item. A creature wearing greased armor or clothing gains a +10 circumstance bonus on Escape Artist checks and combat maneuver checks made to escape a grapple, and to their CMD to avoid being grappled.
Vanish- This spell functions like invisibility, except the effect only lasts for 1 round per caster level (maximum of 5 rounds). Like invisibility, the spell immediately ends if the subject attacks any creature.
--------------------
2nd-Level Bard Spells 5
--------------------
Glitterdust- A cloud of golden particles covers everyone and everything in the area, causing creatures to become blinded and visibly outlining invisible things for the duration of the spell. All within the area are covered by the dust, which cannot be removed and continues to sparkle until it fades. Each round at the end of their turn blinded creatures may attempt new saving throws to end the blindness effect.
Any creature covered by the dust takes a -40 penalty on Stealth checks.
Gallant Inspiration- This word of arcane-empowered inspiration often ensures success of a crucial endeavor. Cast this spell when a creature fails an attack roll or skill check. The creature gains a +2d4 competence bonus to the attack roll or skill check retroactively.
If the bonus is enough to turn the failure into a success, the roll succeeds.
Silenced- Upon the casting of this spell, complete silence prevails in the affected area. All sound is stopped: Conversation is impossible, spells with verbal components cannot be cast, and no noise whatsoever issues from, enters, or passes through the area. The spell can be cast on a point in space, but the effect is stationary unless cast on a mobile object. The spell can be centered on a creature, and the effect then radiates from the creature and moves as it moves. An unwilling creature can attempt a Will save to negate the spell and can use Spell Resistance, if any. Items in a creature's possession or magic items that emit sound receive the benefits of saves and Spell Resistance, but unattended objects and points in space do not. Creatures in an area of a silence spell are immune to sonic or language-based attacks, spells, and effects.
Bladed Dash- Both Quantium and Jalmeray claim that this spell was born in their arcane universities. Regardless of the spell’s origin, it quickly spread throughout the Inner Sea and beyond as spellcasting sword-fighters learned of its existence.
When you cast this spell, you immediately move up to 30 feet in a straight line any direction, momentarily leaving a multi-hued cascade of images behind you. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. You may make a single melee attack at your highest base attack bonus against any one creature you are adjacent to at any point along this 30 feet. You gain a circumstance bonus on your attack roll equal to your Intelligence or Charisma modifier, whichever is higher. You must end the bonus movement granted by this spell in an unoccupied square. If no such space is available along the trajectory, the spell fails. Despite the name, the spell works with any melee weapon.

Special Abilities
--------------------
Bard Spells- A bard casts arcane spells drawn from the bard spell list. He can cast any spell he knows without preparing it ahead of time. Every bard spell has a verbal component (singing, reciting, or music). To learn or cast a spell, a bard must have a Charisma score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a bard’s spell is 10 + the spell level + the bard’s Charisma modifier.
Bardic Performance (17 rounds/day)- An arcane duelist gains the following types of bardic performance:

Rallying Cry (Su- At 1st level, an arcane duelist can use performance to rally dispirited allies. Each round he makes an Intimidate check. Any ally (including the bard) within 30 feet may use this check in place of his own saving throw against fear and despair effects. Those already under a fear or despair effect can attempt a new save each round using the bard’s Intimidate check. Rallying cry does not work on effects that don’t allow saves. This is a mind-affecting ability that uses audible components.

Bladethirst (Su)- An arcane duelist of 6th level or higher may use performance to grant one weapon, one natural weapon, one end of a double weapon, or 50 items of ammunition of the same type within 30 feet a +1 enhancement bonus. This enhancement bonus increases by +1 for every three levels after 6th (maximum +5 at 18th level). These bonuses stack with existing bonuses and may be used to increase the item’s enhancement bonus up to +5 or to add any of the following weapon properties: defending, distance, ghost touch, keen, mighty cleaving, returning, shock, shocking burst, seeking, speed, or wounding. If the weapon is not magical, at least a +1 enhancement bonus must be added before adding special abilities.

Distraction (Su)

At 1st level, a bard can use his performance to counter magic effects that depend on sight. Each round of the Distraction, he makes a Perform (act, comedy, dance, or oratory) skill check. Any creature within 30 feet of the bard (including the bard himself) that is affected by an illusion (pattern) or illusion (figment) magical attack may use the bard’s Perform check result in place of its saving throw if, after the saving throw is rolled, the Perform check result proves to be higher. If a creature within range of the Distraction is already under the effect of a non-instantaneous illusion (pattern) or illusion (figment) magical attack, it gains another saving throw against the effect each round it sees the Distraction, but it must use the bard’s Perform check result for the save. Distraction does not work on effects that don’t allow saves. Distraction relies on visual components.

Fascinate (DC 19)(Su)

At 1st level, a bard can use his performance to cause one or more creatures to become fascinated with him. Each creature to be fascinated must be within 90 feet, able to see and hear the bard, and capable of paying attention to him. The bard must also be able to see the creatures affected. The Distraction of a nearby combat or other dangers prevents the ability from working. For every three levels a bard has attained beyond 1st, he can target one additional creature with this ability.

Each creature within range receives a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the bard’s level + the bard’s Cha modifier) to negate the effect. If a creature’s saving throw succeeds, the bard cannot attempt to fascinate that creature again for 24 hours. If its saving throw fails, the creature sits quietly and observes the performance for as long as the bard continues to maintain it. While fascinated, a target takes a –4 penalty on skill checks made as reactions, such as Perception checks. Any potential threat to the target allows the target to make a new saving throw against the effect. Any obvious threat, such as someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a weapon at the target, automatically breaks the effect.

Fascinate is an enchantment (compulsion), mind-affecting ability. Fascinate relies on audible and visual components in order to function.

Inspire Courage (Su)

A 1st level bard can use his performance to inspire courage in his allies (including himself), bolstering them against fear and improving their combat abilities. To be affected, an ally must be able to perceive the bard’s performance. An affected ally receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls. At 5th level, and every six bard levels thereafter, this bonus increases by +1, to a maximum of +4 at 17th level. inspire courage is a mind-affecting ability. inspire courage can use audible or visual components. The bard must choose which component to use when starting his performance.

Inspire Competence (Su)

A bard of 3rd level or higher can use his performance to help an ally succeed at a task. The ally must be within 30 feet and able to see and hear the bard. The ally gets a +2 competence bonus on skill checks with a particular skill as long as she continues to hear the bard’s performance. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels the bard has attained beyond 3rd (+3 at 7th, +4 at 11th, +5 at 15th, and +6 at 19th).

Certain uses of this ability are infeasible, such as Stealth, and may be disallowed at the GM's discretion. A bard can't inspire competence in himself. inspire competence relies on audible components.

Arcane Bond- At 5th level, an arcane duelist gains the arcane bond ability as a wizard, using a weapon as his bonded item. He may not choose a familiar or other type of bonded item. He may use the hand holding his bonded weapon for somatic components.

A bonded object can be used once per day to cast any one spell that the wizard has in his spellbook and is capable of casting, even if the spell is not prepared. This spell is treated like any other spell cast by the wizard, including casting time, duration, and other effects dependent on the wizard's level. This spell cannot be modified by metamagic feats or other abilities. The bonded object cannot be used to cast spells from the wizard's opposition schools (see arcane school below).
