That's what I thought too.
"No, no the pleasure is all mine, Sir Al'thar. We are humbled to meet a representative of the great House Maoril. However, we, sadly, must be moving along; this old body doesn't prepare for shows as quickly as it used to. Though, before we run affowl of more rules, are they any limitations on where we can perform or park our wagons?"
During this time Adra tries to remember any pertinent information about House Maoril. Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

I got that from your plan. I was just making sure.
Here is what you know about House Maoril (will update the Game info tab to reflect this:
House Maoril: the egoists of House Maoril are rumored to have a hand in running almost all of the inns and taverns in Aeon. specializing in performance art, House Maoril prides itself on being the "soul" of the city. Lead by the vivacious patriarch Thorig Maoril (widely considered the most eligible bachelor in the city since the death of his wife), House Maoril enjoys a reputation for charity. You've heard rumors, however, that Thorig was involved in the death of his wife somehow.
So, what now?
Adra |
If there are no restrictions on parking or places to perform Adra will try finding a place near the meeting point, hopefully one where it can be out of the way/public eyes, if not she will try parking it in a way that seems to be advertising the show...
EDIT: Looks like the consensus is to leave the amulets when not performing. Adra will follow suit using it to tie the reigns to the wagon and as a way to show her 'permit.'

Sounds okay... Little worried about leaving them with out anyone. However, we can get them out with an invisibility spell and darkness. It's slightly annoying shamans don't access the druid spell list and its "take-companion-with" type spells anymore. But she does have share spells and tree shape... Would this create a large plant or a small plant and would it suffocate in a handy haversack?

The evening passes uneventfully, and you still have yet to hear from the second half of your team. In the morning after your devotions and preparations, you are waiting around when you hear the sounds of movement coming from the office upstairs. What would you like to do?
As you make your way to the rendevouz point, you can see that the warehouse is in shambles and has a set of guards surrounding it.
Rebnesk the Roc Rider |
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
"This the m-m-meeting place?" he asks nervously as he palms the necklace, wondering if he should call his companion or use it to get away.
Adra |
Adra moves Kvinn into the back of the wagon and lets her free from the cage. She then impresses on her the importance of staying in the vehicle. After removing the fake shackles from Bloodwing and letting Littlewing free in the wagon as well, she Leaves the wagon unlocked but closed.
Folowing Rebnesk's lead she too tries to hide from the guards sight...
Stealth: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14.
"Should be the place, though I don't think it should be in shambles like this... I'll be right back," she states as she adjusts her head shawl and twists her sleeves, taking on the appearance of a tottering old woman in a faded sundress and a wide-brimmed hat. Disguise: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29
After making sure she doesn't clank and that her appearance is acceptable, she totters out from the alley where the group had hide and slowly moves down the road. After catching 'sight' of the building, she stares for a moment or two and then moves to the guards.
"Oh, what's this? What happened here? I didn't hear anything last night or this morning..."
Bluff(?): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Shokal, the Hunter |
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20+6 if in darkness or shadowy illumination
He whispered to the others."I hope that the others are ok. Would be bad if it went south this fast."
He also changed his disguise, to not be linked to "Amelia's traveling troupe". Disguise: 1d20 + 10 + 10 - 10 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 10 - 10 - 2 = 22 Don't have a specific description, but it would be a very different looking goliath, face, clothing, ...
Vrog Skyreaver |
As Gidgey is making his way up the stairs, the door opens and a red skinned and stout individual begins coming down the stairs. He is clearly not alone as he is having a conversation with someone in the office above. He stops when he sees Aargus and Urgosh, waiting for them to make the first move.
Adra |
"It's unsafe? Oh my, thank-you young man. You know there used to be the nicest import company here when I was younger and I'd just hate to see the building go... Is something wrong with it? Don't tell me your demolishing it?"
Shokal, the Hunter |
Vrog Skyreaver |
With no response forthcoming, The being on the stairs says "You can't be here. We were told that we would have an unused warehouse for 25 hours. If he should wake up..." he trails off, looking at the office above. When he turns around, he mouths a single word, run, then collapses, bleeding from the mouth, nose, ears and eyes.
Adra |
"Oh? There was a group of kenticists here, so close to home? They almost never come here. Must be troublesome." Adra continues, then starts slowly looking around. "Hmmm..... I could have sworn.... Looks like I forgot my bag... Well thank you young man, but I need to head home." With this the old woman turns away from the building and heads back to the alley she came from.
Stretching out of her stopped over position, Adra reports about the kineticits and the state of the building, finishing with, "So it looks like the rest of our group had trouble earlier. We have to get in there. Why did Urgosh have to take Gidgey? We could use his help here. Oh well, ideas on how to get in there? Dress as guards, use the birds, or just brute force our way through an alley entrance?"
Shokal, the Hunter |
"I think it's best if Rebnesk calls the small bird over to check if the rest of our group are inside. Don't want to be barging in without reason."
Don't know how the surrounding area looks but would there be a possibility to climb up to the roof of a neighboring building and jumping over to the warehouse? Assassin's creed : Ogre edition?
Rebnesk the Roc Rider |
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 this is the bird bonus. If I am viewing through its eyes do I get to use mine instead? +12 instead of +2.
Adra |
Kvinn has a better Perception but she also is very identifiable and easy to see in direct light... Littlewing is a hawk (or looks like one,) right?
And, if not now then later, we have to have an Assassin's Creed: Ogre attempt.
Vrog Skyreaver |
With no signs of the first group, two of you head back to Adra's wagon to secure Littlewing. Your wagon is currently unguarded, and you are easily able to get littlewing out without arousing undue suspicion. Returning to the warehouse, Shokal can report that the constables have left the scene for the most part, but the warehouse is boarded up with "no trespassing" signs liberally posted.
Rebnesk the Roc Rider |
Vrog Skyreaver |
As you watch, the walls of the warehouse begin to warp, buckle, and the fly away in what can only be a massive explosion, similar to a powerful fireball. After ducking, you catch a fleeting glimpse of what appears to be a child before it rockets out of sight into the sky, moving so quickly that even the most eagle eyed amongst you can only follow it for but a moment. Right before it leaves you feel a thought touch your mind with a message: Thank you for FREEDOM!
In short order the constables of the city have the warehouse blocked off to traffic and have contained the fire. You see an old human woman walk up to the constables, who politely refute her before she returns to a goblin and a goliath. Moving over to them, you reconnect with your group. Please feel free to post sans spoilers.
As you are regrouping, you see a duergar and a blue approach your group. You quickly recognize that it is the first group, and you have rejoined them. Feel free to post without spoilers at this time.
Shokal, the Hunter |
As the groups had rejoined, Shokal looked at the others. "Do you have any idea what happened here? Seemed quite serious by the looks of it."
Adra |
"We brought them, but won't be able to use any of them, except Littlewing, until nightfall, when we can hopefully get them out without being seen... I don't believe we were followed, but we can't be certain..." with this Adra gives directions back to the wagon the birds were hiding in, and hopefully to a quite space to talk in more detail...
Rebnesk the Roc Rider |
As an answer to Urgosh, Rebnesk looks up just as Littlewing flies over to land on the roof of a nearby building. Rebnesk silently follows the others, still as twitchy as always while Littlewing flies above.
Rebnesk the Roc Rider |
Renting a warehouse would be a suspicious move anyway. Why would people from a troupe of showmen need a warehouse? Don't they sleep in inns or near the cart? And leaving the cart might be a suspicious too. And the fact that it was getting late and they didn't seem to be preparing for a show. If they were going to stay for too long they needed to at least put on airs that they were who they said they were. It was unfortunate that they ran into that Goblin earlier. He seemed like he might be one to notice such things and remember them. All this and more passed through the Kobold's mind but with out his companion's support all he said was "S-s-suspicious." He hoped that one word conveyed what he meant though.
Urgosh The Minotaur |
that should work and be a lot less cheaper
Ok well lets go and start our part 2. We keep the same groups and now we shall head for a light recon of the building where "he" lives. Goal is to asses the routine of the outside security. Everyone ready and ok ?
